Russian Roulette McCain

McCain widens dialogue on blogs

Washington Times for ENTIRE article

Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign is trying to tap a new audience of potential voters by taking his campaign message straight to liberal and nonpolitical issues-based blogs, which reach millions of readers but don't often delve into conservative politics.
The strategy was in full swing yesterday when Mr. McCain invited non-conservative bloggers to join his regular blogger conference call, just hours after he delivered a major speech previewing his war strategy and other priorities for a first presidential term.
It already has started a war among liberal bloggers over how to react to Mr. McCain's overture.
Mr. McCain's campaign said the Web outreach is a logical extension of an attempt to reach voters beyond his base. It also builds on his successful use of conference calls with conservative bloggers during the Republican primary, which blunted many of the harshest criticisms of the senator.
"The plan is to take the work we've already built on with conservative bloggers and to open up a dialogue with non-conservative bloggers and even nonpolitical bloggers," said Patrick Hynes

OK now here are some other things that have to do with this:

A question and answer from his teleconference that stands out to me was this one......

You say you want to work towards bipartisanship. What positions would you be willing to appoint Democrats to in your administration?

"I have a clear record of working with Democrats. I don't have a specific position in mind, but I will ask the most capable people, Democrat or Republican, for a position. I will appoint Democrats to my administration."

And this is a snipet form his speech that he gave in Columbus, Ohio
Entire speech HERE

"If I am elected President, I will work with anyone who sincerely wants to get this country moving again. I will listen to any idea that is offered in good faith and intended to help solve our problems, not make them worse. I will seek the counsel of members of Congress from both parties in forming government policy before I ask them to support it. I will ask Democrats to serve in my administration. My administration will set a new standard for transparency and accountability. I will hold weekly press conferences. I will regularly brief the American people on the progress our policies have made and the setbacks we have encountered. When we make errors, I will confess them readily, and explain what we intend to do to correct them. I will ask Congress to grant me the privilege of coming before both houses to take questions, and address criticism, much the same as the Prime Minister of Great Britain appears regularly before the House of Commons."

Wild Thing's comment.......

McCain is being McCain, maybe that will be the new word for rino. Oh he's being a McCain. sigh

We want things to be done that protect our country, secure our borders, get rid of the scourge of illegals here already…we don’t want to hear more empty promises and rhetoric. We want someone who stands by their word and who puts America first.

We dont want your blind allegiance and ignorance over global warming, over Iraq, and other important international issues.

McCain really doesn’t know how to relate to conservatives.

Ronald Reagan speaking to the White House News Photographers’ Association 5/18/83: “There are some things that you and I have in common in addition to being on the opposite ends of the camera. For you, the darkroom is a place to develop film. For me, it’s a place the Democrats use as a think tank.”

....Thank you Mark for sending this to me.

Diane Sawyer Suggestions For Hillary ~ HUH?!

Racial Politics Inside the Democratic Ranks

Townhall.com

by Mike Gallagher

It had to be one of the single dumbest questions ever asked in the history of network television.

Diane Sawyer was chatting up James Carville, the irascible Clinton loyalist, about the West Virginia Democrat primary. She turned to Mr. Carville and, with a glint in her eye, asked something that almost caused him to fall flat out of his cushy 'Good Morning America' chair. At least I know I certainly would have keeled over had I been asked the same thing.

Referring to the much-reported exit polling in West Virginia that suggested that one out of five Clinton voters said that race was definitely a factor in their decision, Ms. Sawyer, who makes approximately 12 million dollars a year to ask questions on ABC-TV, said the following: "...should Sen. Clinton say she is rejecting the votes of anyone who votes based in any way on color of skin?"

I swear to you that Carville looked at her as if she had just suggested that a tiny alien creature was living in her left high-heeled shoe.

I'm glad that in the middle of his rambling, stumbling answer to possibly the goofiest question he's ever received, he managed to sheepishly point out that there were "probably a few black voters who have voted for Sen. Obama because of race as well."

A "few"? A FEW???

Surely Carville has seen the same data we all have regarding the racial component of Democrats who have cast votes for Obama and Sen. Clinton. And a die-hard liberal Dem like James Carville isn't about to admit on national TV what has turned into the not-so-secret secret of this Democrat primary season: black Democrats are overwhelmingly voting for the black candidate.

The story has been revealed state after state: 92% of the black vote in Mississippi for Obama; 91% of the black vote in Wisconsin for him; 84% of blacks went for Obama in Maryland; 87% in Ohio; and on and on.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Clinton captured 55% of the white vote in Texas; 64% of white voters in Ohio; and 66% in New Jersey, just to name a few. So while Sen. Clinton has garnered a fairly even percentage of white and black voters, blacks are simply voting in overwhelming percentages for Sen. Obama.

In a contest between two Democrat candidates with nearly indistinguishable policies, this is astoundingly alarming.

If Diane Sawyer wasn't so hell-bent on trying to make the case that white West Virginia voters were a bunch of bigots, she might have asked the exact same question of Sen. Obama and his supporters. The only problem with that scenario is that if Obama had to reject voters who selected him based "in any way" on race, he wouldn't have anyone left.

The mainstream media can't seem to ever cover the issue of race fairly. To realize that dopes like Diane Sawyer think they have a "gotcha" moment by referring to one out of five white voters in one small state while ignoring the giant elephant in the room of nearly 100% of blacks voting for Barack Obama everywhere else is preposterous.

It would be nice to believe that black Democrats all believe that Sen. Obama is truly the best person for the job. But if that were true, what would the media be saying if white voters were voting for Mrs. Clinton with such giant percentages? The answer is easy: the press would be denouncing a racist white America, a hate-filled electorate of despicable bigots who would dare to vote for someone solely on the color of their skin.

If I announced on my radio show that the only reason I'm voting for John McCain is because he's a white man, I can't imagine I'd have much of a career remaining. Unless my career included appearing at conventions of skinheads and Ku Klux Klansmen.

But once again, biased blacks get a pass. Very few people have the intestinal fortitude to admit that it's a crying shame that so many voters are blindly supporting someone for president because of his skin color. It would be the ultimate act of political incorrectness to point this out. Instead, whites in West Virginia -- and elsewhere -- are demonized as non-educated, racist morons.

It's easy to blame white Americans for just about every single racial conflict in America. But in doing so, we're not making much progress in terms of race relations.

Show me black Democrats who will vote for a candidate based on real qualifications and we'll be getting somewhere.

Wild Thing's comment.......

LOL this is so stupid what Sawyer said it had me laughing. Does she even think before she talks? Ifi nothing else this is a good example of how the mind of the left works.....it doesn't.

B.Hussein Obama Has His Own "Sniper Tale"

Obama Claims No One Clapped During Detroit, MI Speech

In a speech on May 4, 2008, Obama claims nobody clapped during his 2007 speech in which he called for higher fuel efficiency standards in Detroit. In fact, the crowd clapped repeatedly and gave Obama a standing ovation.

Obama's sniper tale? When he stood up to Detroit's 'cold' shoulder

Los Angeles Times

Is this another Bosnian sniper incident, where a Democratic candidate for president describes a scene involving some personal courage, but later videotape shows that maybe perhaps it wasn't really quite all like that exactly?

Sen. Barack Obama, the leading Democratic candidate for his party's nomination, is very fond of telling receptive audiences the story about how last May he walked right into the automotive lion's den of Detroit and told those industrialists they were going to have to shape up, change the way they do things and start making more fuel-efficient vehicles to protect our environment.

"And I have to say," the straight-talking Obama tells his chuckling followers, "that when I delivered that speech, the room got really quiet. [Laughter] Nobody clapped."

Well, in honor of Obama's return campaign visit back to Michigan this week, someone -- perhaps Republicans, perhaps someone closer to home politically -- assembled videotape of Obama's oft-told tale and spliced it side by side with videotape of that actual Detroit speech.

You'll never guess what. The room wasn't quiet at all. Obama, in fact, got a loud round of applause. And at the end of his address the camera's view of him at the podium is partially blocked because the audience of local businesspeople and automotive executives was rising to give him a standing ovation.

There were no departure ceremonies after the speech because of sniper reports. Far too dangerous for that. It was all he could do then to duck his head and just run for the vehicles. See for yourself below.

.

Wild Thing's comment........

More fun along the election train of maddness. hahaha

I honestly think telling a lie must come with the first breath a democrat takes when they are born.

In Country With The 101st Airbourne

BALAD, Iraq -

As the ramp slammed down in the muck, the rain came howling in drenching the men who leapt off the back of the Chinook helicopter. The troopers hurried into the field of sloppy mud where they slipped and slid through the landing zone to reorganize in the pitch black Iraqi night.

Not even the moon was friendly on this mission, which would prove to be a testament to the guts of Army Infantrymen and to the determination of Charlie Company Soldiers to make even the most remote hamlets in the Salah ad-Din province safe from al Qaeda’s treachery.

Soldiers from Charlie Company, 1st Squadron, 32nd Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division conducted Operation Helsinki Feb. 15 to clear out al Qaeda fighters from an area here that has typically not received much attention from Coalition Forces.

Helsinki was a combined counter-insurgency operation, which was conducted in partnership with the Iraqi Army, to help enable legitimate governmental organizations and to provide security for the citizens in the Bichigan peninsula, said 1st Sgt. Timothy Seeber, Charlie Company First Sergeant. Seeber called the Bichigan area, west of Balad, an al Qaeda safehaven that AQI flees to in order to avoid being killed or captured.

“AQI is on the run here and they know we have the means and mobility to kill or capture them where they hide,” said Seeber.

Helsinki began with a pre-dawn air assault into the fertile farmlands of the Bichigan area, which were heavily soaked with the early morning rain. With mud smeared on faces and firearms, Charlie Company Soldiers spent the day moving from house to house questioning residents and searching for AQI weapons caches along with Iraqi Army Soldiers.

The search turned up two weapons caches and resulted in the apprehension of a suspected AQI operative.
Since Charlie Company moved from FOB Caldwell near the Iranian border in early December, they have been instrumental in capturing three of the Balad area’s high value targets and have discovered numerous weapon caches, said Staff Sgt. Tommy Pafford.

Much of the success that Charlie Company has had is due largely to spending a great deal of time out among the people and to the Sons of Iraq movement, which has enabled U.S. and Iraqi Forces with quality intelligence about AQI operations in the area, said Pafford.

Spending time outside of the relative comfort of FOB Paliwoda has paid dividends for Charlie Company who often find themselves operating in austere conditions.

“Staying outside the wire overnight in the mud and cold is the norm for us,” said Pvt. First Class Michael LaChappelle, who along with his fellow Charlie Company troopers found himself without a helicopter ride back to base due to poor weather conditions.

After spending much of Operation Helsinki cold and wet, the “Rock” Soldiers would have to bear the elements under a foggy, black Iraqi sky until the weather improved.

“My guys would walk to the end of this Earth if they were asked to,” said Pafford. “They realize that this war is bigger than us."

Actor Bradley Cooper Comes to GITMO

Actor Bradley Cooper chats with some Marines during a bus tour of Guantanamo Bay as part of his visit May 2-4.
Joint Task Force Guantanamo conducts interrogation operations to collect strategic intelligence in support of the Global War on Terror and supports law enforcement and war crimes investigations. JTF Guantanamo is committed to the safety and security of American service members and civilians working inside its detention facilities.

By Megan Burnham
Joint Task Force Guantanamo Public Affairs

GUANTANAMO BAY, Cuba

Some people may know him as Will Tippin, the best friend to Sydney Bristow on the TV show “Alias.” Others may know him as the villainous boyfriend in “Wedding Crashers.” However, when he visited the U.S. Naval Station in Guantanamo Bay May 2-4, he introduced himself with his real name and identity: Bradley Cooper.

Cooper, a Philadelphia native, currently resides in Venice, Calif. where he works and owns a little house with a couple of dogs. He moved from New York to Los Angeles, in 2001 to take the job for the Alias series.

Due to positive feedback from friends who went on tour in Afghanistan six months ago, Cooper requested to participate in a similar tour with the United Services Organization, an association that helps the American public show support to service members.

The actor had some free time and when USO asked if he wanted to go to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, he jumped at the chance. This was his first visit to a U.S. Naval Station; in fact, this was his first visit to any military base.

“I’m here to show my support, say hello and learn more about the military and what they’re doing, especially here in Guantanamo Bay,” said Cooper.

The event, sponsored by the USO and Morale Welfare and Recreation, provided troopers (especially Bradley Cooper fans) the opportunity to meet with the star, take photos with him as well as acquire signed photographs.

Traveling with the celebrity was his buddy Dave Bugliari, USO Entertainment producer Tracy Thede, and Liberty Coordinator Jeffrey Shaw.

The “Handshake Tour” consisted of three busy days around the base, including a visit to Camp Delta, Camp 6, the Northeast Gate and Water Gate, and the Port Security Unit, as well as recreational activities.

“I am absolutely blown away; it’s very educational,” said Cooper. “Going into the camps definitely took it out of the TV and put it into real life.”

Troopers and civilians attended scheduled site visits at the Marine Hill Liberty Center, the Navy Exchange Atrium, and the Deer Point Liberty Center to meet the actor.

“It’s cool that he’s taking the time out of his day to come down here,” remarked Andrew Kolbek at the NEX visit. “It shows that he cares what we are doing and why we’re doing it.”
“He is setting the morale for the whole base,” added Micah Howard, also in attendance. “It’s a good thing he’s doing – we really appreciate it.”

The meet-and-greet event ran smoothly largely due to Thede’s efforts, as well as Craig Basel and Jeffrey Shaw from MWR.

“The MWR folks, they’re phenomenal,” Thede said about Basel and Shaw. “They go above and beyond to make sure that as many creature comforts as possible are here for the service members.”

Before Cooper left the island, he shared some parting words to everyone he came in contact with this past weekend.

“Thank you all so much for how generous you’ve been with your gratitude, and being able to talk to us,” he said. “We’re so happy to support you, and I hope that you all feel that from us and that anything we can do, we’re willing to do it.”

Wild Thing's comment........

I hope Cooper shared about his trip with others when he got back and told them to go visit our troops as well. Spread the word and show the support. Our military are America's true stars and heroes.

Biden: Bush's comments were 'bullshit'

A small part of President Bush's speech the dems are complaining about

Biden: Bush's comments were 'bullshit'

Politico

Sen. Joe Biden, piling on to Democratic complaints about President Bush’s speech in Israel today:

“This is bullshit, this is malarkey. This is outrageous, for the president of the United States to go to a foreign country, to sit in the Knesset . . . and make this kind of ridiculous statement.”
Speaking before the Knesset, Bush said that “some people” believe the United States “should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along."
"We have heard this foolish delusion before," Bush said. "As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: 'Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided.' We have an obligation to call this what it is—the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history."

Democrats have interpreted the comments as an attack on Sen. Barack Obama, and Biden, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said that the president was out of line.

“He is the guy who has weakened us,” he said. “He has increased the number of terrorists in the world. It is his policies that have produced this vulnerability that the U.S. has. It’s his [own] intelligence community [that] has pointed this out, not me.”

Biden noted that Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice have both suggested that the United States ought to find a way to talk more with its enemies.

"If he thinks this is appeasement, is he going to come back and fire his own cabinet?” Biden asked. “Is he going to fire Condi Rice?”

In a separate statement, Sen. John Kerry said that Bush "is still playing the disgusting and dangerous political game Karl Rove perfected, which is insulting to every American and disrespectful to our ally Israel. George Bush should be making Israel secure, not slandering Barack Obama from the Knesset."

The White House insists that Bush wasn’t referring specifically to Obama, an argument that Senate Majority Whip Richard J. Durbin (D-Ill.) called "baloney."
"There is no escaping what the president is doing," said Durbin, who supports Obama. "It is an attack on Sen. Obama’s position that we should not be avoiding even those we disagree with when it comes to negotiations and diplomacy."
Durbin called Bush's remarks "unfair and really unfortunate."

HERE it is........ Remarks by the President Bush to Members of the Knesset

Wild Thing's comment........

First of all Bush did NOTHING wrong, this is all BS from the traitors in our country the LEFT. Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and his apology tours when he was President THEY were the ones that should be punished for their treason.

President Bush hit a nerve with the terrorist lovers in our country. LOL Good one Bush!

Typical treasonous demoncrats. They are a sickening bunch of weasels, cowards and yellow-bellies, hell-bent to destroy what remains of the United States of America.

And I will add this, McCain wanting to be President should be saying stuff like Bush is saying instead of this touchie feeling global warming, let's have a Rodney King why can't we all just get along presidential run. SICKENING!

Obama's Intro For Edwards ~ So Much For Presidential

Note at the time on the video at 1:40............ that is where he starts to introduce Edwards and you can hear what I noticed last night while watching this on TV.

Obama and John Edwards at a rally in Grand Rapids, Mich

"Please give it up for my friend John Edwards”

So what will we have to expect if B. Hussein Obama wins? It is just something that when he said it last night introducing John Edwards, it stuck out like a sore thumb. I have heard it used a lot. Especially during things like the Music awards shows etc. Sometimes on late night TV talk shows, Leno etc. But never by any of our politicians in office and never by a President. LOL

Future White House Intros...

“Let’s give it up for Secretary of State...”
“Let’s give it up for Prime Minister....”

Paratroopers Join Afghan Forces to Take Control of Bridge, Checkpoint

Paratroopers Join Afghan Forces to Take Control of Bridge, Checkpoint

BY Staff Sgt. Brandon Aird
173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team
Public Affairs Office

NURISTAN PROVINCE, Afghanistan

Operation Mountain Highway II began in Afghanistan's eastern Nuristan province in late April.

The operation started April 22 when Soldiers from International Security Assistance Force and the Afghan National Army made a simultaneously night air assault onto three mountains above Gowerdesh Bridge.

Afghan and American Soldiers created Observation Posts Mace, Hatchet and Brick, which enabled the Afghan Border Police and ANA to drive up from the south and seize the bridge April 26.

"It was (a very) synchronized air assault to get everybody in," said Capt. John Williams, commander of the 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry's Headquarters and Headquarters Troop. "Over four months of planning was put into this operation."

During the planning phase, ABP members participated in training on weapons, vehicle searches, first aid and reacting to enemy contact, said Capt. Kafi Gwira, an ABP embedded tactical trainer from Chicago. The ABP were also issued new uniforms, weapons, ammunition and equipment for the operation.

"We got them ready to seize the bridge for good this time," said Gwira. "The ABP will now maintain a presence at the bridge at all times."

The ANA built three local observation posts near the bridge during the first few days of the operation, which were handed over to the ABP a few days later.

"The reason why this bridge is so critical is that it's one of the last ones left for insurgents to use," said Williams. "If they can't use the Gowerdesh Bridge, this severely limits their capabilities in this area."

The bridge has been a key altercation point between insurgents and Afghan forces over the last year. Numerous firefights between ISAF and insurgents have occurred near the bridge, and last summer insurgents drove off the ABP and destroyed their security checkpoint.

"They need strong positions, which is why we provided the engineers to build the bunker positions at the bridge," said Williams. "They also needed local OPs, which we're building near the bridge. So now we can see all the area around us. The enemy can't come here unimpeded like they have been."

ISAF forces will continue to operate two of three larger observation posts to support the ABP, but once the bunkers and fighting positions are built the ABP will take over operations there.

Operation Mountain Highway II is an ongoing operation, but Williams said it's already considered a great success.

"Since we have secured this bridge, we can now bring development to this region," he said. "We can fix the road and bring economic and government development here. The insurgents have lost the upper hand in this area."

The 1-91st is part of the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, a U.S. Army Europe unit based in Vicenza, Italy.

Paratrooper On Cover of Best-Selling Book "American Heroes"

New book out: American Heroes: In the Fight against Radical Islam Author Oliver North and editor Chuck Holton Pub. Date: May 2008

Sgt. 1st Class John Duggins (left), a platoon sergeant with B Battery, 2nd Battalion, 319th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment, and Loneoak, Texas-native Pfc. Tommy Shumpert, a S.A.W. gunner, patrol through the streets of the Graya'at neighborhood in Baghdad's Adhamiyah District

Paratrooper Makes the Cover of Best-selling Author’s New Book

By Staff Sgt. Mike Pryor
2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Public Affairs

FORT BRAGG, N.C.

Even though he is a decorated veteran of the war in Iraq, Sgt. 1st Class John Duggins doesn’t think of himself as an “American Hero.”

So it came as quite a surprise when Duggins saw his face on the cover of a new book with that name written by best-selling author Oliver North.

“People started calling me up as soon as they saw it saying, ‘Hey, you’re on the cover of a book!’ I was like, ‘Yeah, right. Shut up,” recounted Duggins, 37, a platoon sergeant with Battery B of the 82nd Airborne Division’s 2nd Battalion, 319th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment.

At first, Duggins thought his buddies were playing a prank on him, but they were telling the truth – it is indeed his face staring out from the front cover of North’s just-released book, “American Heroes.”

The book is a tribute to U.S. military personnel serving on the front lines in Iraq and Afghanistan.

" We were looking for a Captain America photo, and that one just jumped out at us,” said Chuck Holton, the book’s co-author, who ended up selecting Duggins’ photo from a pool of hundreds of other possibilities.

The photo has already made Duggins famous in his hometown of Madison, N.C. His picture is hanging up on the wall at the local tavern.

On the other hand, Duggins’ newfound celebrity has also earned him some ribbing from his fellow paratroopers.

“We all say, ‘Hey, what’s up, American Hero?” said Capt. Josh Richardson, Duggins’ battery commander.

Duggins, a humble man of few words, said he prefers to avoid the spotlight. He said he didn’t do anything worthy of a spot on the front cover, even suggesting that a different photo on the back of the book of a Soldier carrying a wounded comrade would have been a better choice.

“That should be the one on the cover. That’s the real hero,” Duggins said modestly.

But if Duggins wasn’t exactly thrilled to be in the limelight, his two sons, Taylor, 15, and Cody, 13, were more enthusiastic about the book. Taylor even gave it the ultimate teenage endorsement.

“It’s cool. I put it up on my MySpace page,” he said.

Duggins’ appearance on the book’s cover even earned him a chance to meet with Oliver North personally. As fate would have it, North was passing through Fayetteville on a book signing tour and arranged to meet Duggins after a signing at a local Barnes & Noble book store May 6.

At the store, a line of customers clutching copies of “American Heroes” for North to sign snaked out the door. Some of them did double takes when they saw Duggins waiting outside with his family. One man recognized Duggins from the cover photo.

“Wow, he even looks mean in real life,” the man noted.
“No he doesn’t,” Ruth Duggins said protectively.

Marine Oliver North (left) autographs a copy of his new book "American Heroes," for Sgt. 1st Class John Duggins (right), of Madison, N.C. at a book store in Fayetteville, N.C., May 6. A photograph of Duggins, a platoon sergeant with Battery B, 2nd Battalion, 319th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, appears on the book's cover.

After the signing was over, Duggins and his family were taken into a back area of the store to meet with Oliver North privately. When North entered the room, he gave Duggins a giant bear hug.

North, a former lieutenant colonel in the Marines and a war hero in his own right, said he has nothing but admiration for Duggins and all the other Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines serving in today’s Armed Forces. He said Duggins was the perfect choice to appear on the cover of his book.

“He represents a generation of American heroes that the American people need to know,” North said.

North presented Duggins and his sons with free, signed copies of “American Heroes,” and then asked Duggins to autograph a few copies for him. Like a seasoned pro Duggins began scrawling his name across the front covers of a stack of books.

ECO McCain Goes Green ~ Gore Must Be Proud

McCain's frontpage at his Presidential run website.

.

I clicked on the little GREEN box and this is the page that came up.

His Climate Change page LINK HERE

At that page, McCain has a petition ( it would not all fit in the graphic above at my blog) where you can sign saying that you trust McCain to" protect our enviroment by using effectice market based solutions. "

OK now if you click on McCain's Online Store .....and then notice among the list of things you can buy it says......"GO GREEN".

LOL ok I clicked on Go Green and well here you go, McCain has this.............

At his GO Green page you can oder shirts, hats etc. for GO Green with MCcain.

One of the problems is that he is ignoring the very large numbers of scientists who are arguably more credible that hold a considerably more conservative view.

Rush spoke about McCain's going green yesterday and he was excellent:
Transcript snipets:

"When it comes to global warming and the 'fixes' for this hoax, our goose is cooked. It doesn't matter who you vote for president; we're going to get a liberal Democrat approach to fixing something that doesn't exist. It's just going to add up to more taxes."

"Senator McCain is sounding more and more like he's trying to position himself as a vice presidential candidate for Obama rather than as a Republican presidential candidate."

"I'm really conflicted here. I have not faced a situation where a major Republican presidential candidate sounds just like a liberal Democrat, and I know of no other thing to do than to tell you the truth: This is embarrassing, and it is frightening."

"I don't care whether you look at Obama or McCain; you are looking at people who want to recreate policies of the past under new names. But those of us who still proudly call ourselves Reagan conservatives are the ones looking forward."

"Now, back to McCain. I... I don't know. You people at the GOP and the RNC -- do you have any idea what you've done here? Do you have the slightest idea what you've done here?"

"Well, one thing I do know is that I'm 57 years old, and every winter that I've been alive, it's been cold. And every summer I have sweated myself silly outside in high humidity and high temperatures."

"President Bush is going to go to Saudi Arabia this week to ask King Abdullah to increase oil production. I want you to think about something before we come back: What's wrong with that? Because there's something really wrong with it."

"Oh, I see now. We're going to get our reputation restored by becoming just like those little pansy countries who couldn't defend themselves if their lives depended on it -- that's how we're going to get our respect back."

"An SUV hog hybrid is fine and dandy with me. We have one here! There's nothing chintzy about it -- you know, nothing white-wine-and-brie about this thing."

"'He doesn't really mean this, Rush.' I can't take that chance! I've never heard McCain so enthused! He was more passionate in this speech than I've heard him in years about anything -- other than maybe amnesty for illegal aliens."

"It's outrageous that we have American leaders willing to facilitate an attack on capitalism via this global warming hoax, who then have the audacity to say that what we're going to be doing is somehow related to 'free markets'."

.

Wild Thing's comment........

Once McCain clinched the nomination, he had roughly nine months to earn conservative votes. Three months have passed...and he's actually moved further to the left, seemingly turning his back on the party's base. What a mess!

Pray for our country, and like Tom has said.....buy ammo! Now is the time to get ready for whatever we might have happen no matter who wins this thing.

Uncommon Bond: Screaming Eagle’s Stay Connected to Vietnam-era Brethren While Serving in Iraq

BAYJI, Iraq - This ain’t your father’s Army. Some say it’s a kinder, gentler Army, wary of political correctness and public perceptions. Some say that this has caused soldiers to lose touch with their roots, to disconnect themselves from the past. But for one Infantry platoon, at the heart of the fight in Iraq, some things never change and they are neither kind nor gentle.

Somewhere, in the dusty expanse of the Salah ad Din province in Iraq, the Tigers are lurking. They patiently wait for their prey in the city and in the desert. They are keenly aware, not only of their immediate surroundings, but of their heritage as well. They know they have some big boots to fill.

Tiger Force, 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), is the most highly decorated platoon sized element in the U.S. Army.

Over the past 48 years, Tiger Force Soldiers have earned two Medals of Honor, the Distinguished Service Cross, numerous Silver Stars for valor and countless other commendations. Names like Hackworth, Gertsch, and Gardner are synonymous with the Tiger legacy, which began in the sweltering jungles of Vietnam.

In 1965, as the Vietnam War picked up steam, Army brass recognized a need for more unconventional, guerilla style warfare. A young Lt. Colonel in the 101st Airborne Division named David Hackworth proposed that by utilizing small, highly trained units, Vietcong tactics could be effectively countered. The brass liked what they heard and the Tigers were born through highly experienced, hand selected volunteers from the 1st Brigade, 101st Airborne Division.

Their mission: “To out guerilla the guerillas,” according to Hackworth, or as MoH recipient Staff Sgt. John G. Gertsch said, “How to really be there, but not be there.”
“During the Vietnam years, Tiger Force went through many changes in the full spectrum,” said Hank “Doc” Ortega, who served as a Tiger Force medic in 1968. During their time in Vietnam, Tiger Force Soldiers ran the gauntlet of small unit operations, from scouts, ready reaction and long range reconnaissance. “We were basically the eyes and ears of the battalion commander,” he said.
“Here is a platoon deep-rooted in history and tradition,” said Lt. Col. Peter Wilhelm, “Above the Rest” Battalion Commander. “A platoon that I reserve for the best of the best,” he said.

Tigers today, still serve at the behest of the battalion commander in the surly terrain of the Salah ad Din province. To pigeon-hole the Tigers, would be to say that they simply serve as the battalion’s sniper and recon asset, but like their predecessors in Vietnam they have found themselves covering down on a wide array of missions and have been instrumental in taking high-value targets, weapons caches and improvised explosive devices off of the streets, as well as conducting various non-lethal operations.

“We do what is necessary in the area of operations to defeat IED’s, secure high –value targets and support the division’s effort,” said Sgt. Josh Smith, Tiger Force sniper section team leader. “Today’s battlefield requires so much more out of every element,” he said. “There’s no arguing that what we are doing today is the graduate level of warfare. You’ve got to think outside the box or wind up in a box.”
For Smith and other Tiger Force Soldiers, preserving the Tiger’s legacy is an important part of the job. “We do everything with the past in mind,” said Smith. “The bond that the current members have with the past members is unbelievable,” he said.

During a 101st Airborne reunion event dubbed “Week of the Eagles”, in the summer of 2000, Ortega and other Tiger Force veterans returned to Fort Campbell, KY, to give young Soldiers a glimpse into their past and have been dropping in on the Tigers ever since.

“We gave these young men back their history,” said Ortega. “We brought names like James Gardner and John Gertsch to life because we knew these men and served with them,” he said. “They are not just names on a wall to us, and the young guys deserve to be connected to that history.”
In garrison, it is not uncommon for an old Tiger to stop by the battalion to see how the platoon is coming along. During these visits, tales are swapped and the vets get a chance to check out the newest tools of the trade. “Back in the day they were using M-14 rifles with big old Starlight scopes and they were really impressed with the new gear,” said Smith. “They get a kick out of it and we get a kick out of doing it because it’s just old meets new.”

In today’s rapidly evolving force, Soldiers often overlook the history of their units and have little or no link with the warriors who came before them.

“I would say it’s very rare,” said Smith. “I’m in touch with at least a dozen Vietnam-era, Tiger Force vets, and a few in between,” he said. “We are very much a big extended family.”

Veterans of Tiger Force send care packages and essential items to their deployed brethren in Iraq and have acted as a support system through the hard times.

“December was a bad month for us,” said Smith. On Dec. 4, 2007, Tiger Force lost its Platoon Leader, Capt. Adam Snyder and two fellow Soldiers, Sgt. Eric Hernandez and Pvt. Dwayne White to an IED attack. The loss was devastating to Tiger Force Soldiers both young and old.
“When we lost men on Dec. 4th of 2007, it felt the same to us vets as when we lost those we served with…exactly the same,” said Ortega. “These young guys are our brothers.” Tiger Force veterans were in attendance at each fallen Soldier’s funeral services and were there to provide support to loved ones. “They got in touch with the families, made trips for support and basically did everything they could to make them as comfortable as they could be in their time mourning,” said Smith. “You’re not going to see that level of dedication, 40 years later, in many other places,” he said.

For Ortega, supporting the Tigers isn’t a random act of kindness, it’s fulfilling the oath of honor and country.

“For my own part, my wife and I spent almost two months at Ft. Sam Houston at the bedside of a Tiger who was wounded, assisting him and his family with his recovery,” said Ortega. “I would work in the aid-station if I could.”
“Doc” Ortega’s selfless-service to his country and to the Tigers is the model upon which the latest generation looks up to.
“All I can hope for is that the new Tigers are as receptive to the older guys as we are,” said Smith. “They go so far above and beyond. So many people get out of the Army and leave it all behind,” said Smith. “They are who we are.”
Ortega would like to see more of these uncommon bonds forged between warrior generations. “I think that more and more Vietnam-era veterans, especially of combat units, are making an effort to relocate their buddies and as a part of that effort, they are sometimes making contact with their younger counterparts at the reunions,” said Ortega
“We need to make this sort of contact and support far less unusual.”
For Smith and the rest of the Tigers in Iraq, bridging the generation gap has bred a sense of respect and admiration to the Tiger name. “We’re just proud to know them, you know? “The best thing for us is for them to feel like they’re still part of the team.”

Republican Energy Plan Gets Shot Down by Dems and Rino's ~ McCain WIMPS Out On Vote!

The Senate has rejected a Republican energy plan that calls for opening an Alaska wildlife refuge and some offshore waters to oil development. Supporters of the measure couldn’t get the needed 60 votes to overcome a Democratic-led filibuster threat.

Senate votes to halt oil reserve shipments

WASHINGTON

The Senate, in a direct challenge to President Bush, voted Tuesday to temporarily halt the shipment of thousands of barrels of oil a day into the government's emergency reserve. Both Democrats and Republicans said such shipments make no sense when oil is costing more than $120 a barrel and could better be used to add supplies to a tight market and possibly lower prices.

We are buying the most expensive crude oil in the history of the world and storing it," said Sen. Byron Dorgan, D-N.D. "When American consumers are burning at the stake by high energy prices, the government ought not be carrying the wood."

Until both chambers of Congress pass the emergency reserve directive and Bush signs it — or Congress enacts it over a presidential veto — the legislation has no force of law. But the Senate's message to the president Tuesday was a strong one.

With Republicans joining Democrats, senators voted 97-1 to suspend the shipments — averaging about 70,000 barrels a day — until the end of the year. Only Sen. Wayne Allard, R-Colo., voted against the measure.

The House was scheduled to vote on a similar directive later in the day. The Senate measure was added to legislation on flood insurance that passed shortly after the oil reserve vote.

Bush has been steadfast in continuing shipments of oil to the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, a system of underground salt domes on the Gulf Coast, arguing that the stockpile should be filled to its maximum capacity of 727 million barrels. It currently is 97 percent full at 701 million barrels, equal to two months of oil imports.

The reserve was created in the 1970s as a precaution against major interruptions of oil supplies.

Senators said the stockpile is big enough to meet any emergency.

Dorgan acknowledged that Tuesday's vote was "a small step forward" as Congress grapples with ways to respond to soaring fuel prices that have pushed gasoline prices to nearly $4 a gallon after a winter of record heating bills.

It's uncertain how much effect — if any — putting 70,000 barrels a day of crude onto the U.S. market that uses more than 21 million barrels a day would have. Dorgan said it could send a signal and curb market speculation.

"It could have a chance of reducing the price a small amount," said Sen. Pete Domenici, R-N.M., who joined the chorus against continuing the shipments. "But make no bones about it, this is no big energy policy. This is one little thing we can do."

Earlier, the Senate rejected a broader Republican energy plan that called for opening an Alaska wildlife refuge and some offshore waters to oil development. Supporters of the measure couldn't get the needed 60 votes to overcome a Democratic-led filibuster threat.

Republican leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky said more domestic oil production is needed to keep prices in check and to reduce U.S. dependence on oil imports. "We cannot repeal the law of supply and demand....We need to increase supply in order to lower gas prices," said McConnell.

But opponents said areas such as the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and coastal waters that have been off limits to drilling for 25 years ought to remain that out of bounds to oil companies. The GOP measure, defeated Tuesday by a vote of 56-42, would have allowed coastal states to get a waiver to the offshore drilling ban.

"We can't drill our way to lower prices," said Sen. Richard Durbin, D-Ill.

The president has given no indication that he will move to halt shipments to the oil reserve, short of a congressional directive.

"Our position hasn't changed," said White House press secretary Dana Perino earlier this week. She said the president believes the emergency reserve needs to be increased "in order to protect ourselves against oil shocks" and that the oil being put in — a tenth of one percent of global production — "would have a negligible impact on gas prices" if put into the market.

Democratic Sens. Barack Obama of Illinois and Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York, interrupting their presidential campaigns, voted to halt the oil reserve deliveries. Sen. John McCain, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, was not present for the vote.

The VOTE and who voted and how they voted.

Wild Thing's comment.......

Where the HELL has common sense gone??!!

McCain 'sat this one out' (didn't vote). McCain has no excuse for not being there, as Obama and Clinton cast their votes.

OK so I have to say this about McCain and his wimping out on the vote. If he can screw the conservatives and our country..... well he has and will and he just proved it once again. Sorry but if he wants my vote he has to take my condemnation with it and there will be plenty of it, bet on it McCainiac! My vote is dead on serious and I take it personally when you mess with my country. You already messed with our POW's!!!!!

Good grief, Elizabeth Dole? How disappointing. sheesh! Sorry Liz, hate to see you turned into a rino.

Bush should go on TV weekly and read the list of congressmen who voted against new drilling.

We have the Chinese drilling off our borders....we have billions of gallons of oil in the ground waiting to be tapped....but, NOOOOO....we can’t do that...we must buy our oil from across the oceans from people who hate us, and build gold plated toilets with our money.

This ends the hope of drilling in Alaska for a decade or more. Whomever wins in November they’ve all gone on record as being against drilling.

McCain is part of the problem. He's one of the Gang of 14. Too bad we don't have a conservative candidate running for the GOP. All the candidates are leftists. All global warming Kool-Aid drinkers. All open borders enthusiasts. All Senators with no experience in governing. All three are ignorant of how to run a business and make a payroll.

Bin Laden set out to bring the us economy to its knees. While hiding out, OPEC is doing it for him, with the help of the dems and the rino's.

The McCain platform: High energy costs and lots and lots of illegal immigrants. He says he’s tough on security but he condones a slow-motion invasion across our borders.

With the 3 horrible people we have running for President, God have mercy on America!

U.S. Drops Charges Against Saudi In Sept. 11 Attacks

US drops charges against Saudi in Sept. 11 attacks

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico

AP

The Pentagon has dropped charges against a Saudi at Guantanamo who was alleged to have been the so-called "20th hijacker" in the Sept. 11 attacks, his U.S. military defense lawyer said Monday.

Mohammed al-Qahtani was one of six men charged by the military in February with murder and war crimes for their alleged roles in the 2001 attacks. Authorities say al-Qahtani missed out on taking part in the attacks because he was denied entry to the U.S. by an immigration agent.

But in reviewing the case, the convening authority for military commissions, Susan Crawford, decided to dismiss the charges against al-Qahtani and proceed with the arraignment for the other five, said Army Lt. Col. Bryan Broyles, the Saudi's military lawyer.

Crawford dismissed the charges Friday without prejudice, meaning they can be filed again later, but the defense only learned about it Monday, Broyles told The Associated Press.

The attorney said he could not comment on the reasons for the dismissal until discussing the case with lawyers for the other five defendants. Officials previously said al-Qahtani had been subjected to a harsh interrogation authorized by former Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld.

A Pentagon spokesman, Navy Cmdr. Jeffrey Gordon, confirmed the case was proceeding against the five defendants and that their arraignment will be within 30 days of the charges being served at the U.S. base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Gordon declined further comment since the Office of Military Commissions had not yet released the formal announcement about the legal developments.

The five defendants include Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the suspected mastermind of the terrorist attacks in 2001 that killed nearly 3,000 people, and Ramzi Binalshibh, who is said to have been the main intermediary between the hijackers and al-Qaida leaders. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for all of them.

Their trial is the first capital case thus far before the military tribunals at Guantanamo, where the U.S. holds about 270 men on suspicion of terrorism or links to al-Qaida and the Taliban. The military has said it plans to prosecute about 80 prisoners in the first U.S. military war crimes tribunals since World War II.

Authorities have said they plan to broadcast the trials to military bases in the United States so relatives of the victims of the attacks can see the proceedings.

Critics of the tribunals have faulted a rule that allows judges to decide whether to allow evidence that may have been obtained with "coercion." U.S. authorities have acknowledged that Mohammed was subjected to waterboarding by CIA interrogators and that al-Qahtani was treated harshly at Guantanamo.

Al-Qahtani in October 2006 recanted a confession he said he made after he was tortured and humiliated at Guantanamo.
The alleged torture, which he detailed in a written statement, included being beaten, restrained for long periods in uncomfortable positions, threatened with dogs, exposed to loud music and freezing temperatures and stripped nude in front of female personnel.
The U.S. has alleged that al-Qahtani, who military records show is about 28, barely missed becoming the 20th hijacker on Sept. 11, 2001. The Saudi was denied entry into the country by immigration agents at the airport in Orlando, Florida.
At the time, he had more than US$2,400 in cash, no return plane ticket and lead hijacker Mohamed Atta was waiting for him, the military has said.

Separately Monday, Gordon said the Pentagon has not decided whether to appeal a ruling that ousted a top legal official from a detainee case scheduled to become the first to go to trial at Guantanamo Bay.

In a ruling last week, a military judge at Guantanamo found that Air Force Brig. Gen. Thomas Hartmann, the legal adviser for the tribunals, lacks neutrality and should not participate in the case against a Yemeni who is a former driver for Osama bin Laden. His trial is set for June 2.

Wild Thing's comment........

OH well good I feel so much safer now.....NOT!

At the time, he had more than US$2,400 in cash, no return plane ticket and lead hijacker Mohamed Atta was waiting for him, the military has said.

Oh. Okay. Let him go... What the hell?!?

O ( hamas) bama

Obama on Zionism and Hamas

The Atlantic.com .....for entire article

Jeffrey Goldberg

The Hamas leader Ahmed Yousef did Barack Obama no favor recently when he said: “We like Mr. Obama and we hope that he will win the election.” John McCain jumped on this statement, calling it a “legitimate point of discussion,” and tied it to Obama’s putative softness on Iran, whose ever-charming president last week called Israel a “stinking corpse” and predicted its “annihilation.”

Jeffrey Goldberg and an interview with Obama on Israel:

(these are snipets from the interview)

JG: You’ve talked about the role of Jews in the development of your thinking.

BO: One of the things that is frustrating about the recent conversations on Israel is the loss of what I think is the natural affinity between the African-American community and the Jewish community, one that was deeply understood by Jewish and black leaders in the early civil-rights movement but has been estranged for a whole host of reasons that you and I don’t need to elaborate.

JG: Do you think that Israel is a drag on America’s reputation overseas?

BO: No, no, no. But what I think is that this constant wound, that this constant sore, does infect all of our foreign policy. The lack of a resolution to this problem provides an excuse for anti-American militant jihadists to engage in inexcusable actions, and so we have a national-security interest in solving this, and I also believe that Israel has a security interest in solving this because I believe that the status quo is unsustainable.

Wild Thing's comment........

Obama and his mad wife hmmmm ....let's see can't you just see them traveling to Israel and his wife telling how down trodden she has been in America and how she understands how the PLO feel.

McCain Pushes 'Cap-And-Trade' Plan to Fight Global Warming

McCain Pushes 'Cap-And-Trade' Plan to Fight Global Warming

Business and Media

GOP presidential nominee John McCain is using the idea of global togetherness to promote “a cap-and-trade system” to battle climate change.

He said “Americans and Europeans need to get serious about substantially reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the coming years or we will hand over a much-diminished world to our grandchildren.”

According to the Arizona senator, whose opinion column appeared in the March 19 Financial Times, the United States needs to work with Europe to create a replacement for the Kyoto treaty.

“We need a successor to Kyoto, a cap-and-trade system that delivers the necessary environmental impact in an economically responsible manner.” He said America needs to be willing to be “persuaded” by our European allies. McCain’s column was headlined “America must be a good role model.”

However, he never addressed the potential costs of his proposal.

McCain talked about Americans and Europeans leading together but only said he wanted to “encourage the participation of the rest of the world, including most importantly, the developing economic powerhouses of China and India.”

But experience has already shown that government intervention in environmental issues can have negative consequences. Ethanol mandates have artificially inflated demand for corn and affected grocery prices. And recent studies have shown ethanol isn’t any better for the environment than burning fossil fuels.

Wild Thing's comment........

Oh shut up McCain. You aren’t helping getting yourself elected with stupid talk like that. At the very least, you could try keep up to date on the “global warming” farce instead of trying to be “popular” and parroting that idiotic nonsense..

Please God send us a miracle, send us someone else to vote for. waaaaa

McCain’s Cap and Trade system would allows for gradual reduction of emissions would control business production and create more bureaucracy to issue permits...require more accountability of govt to meet goals and deadlines. This is 1 step short of nationalizing businesses.

After they go after the big boys, Cap and Trade will be applied to you and I......we will be tracked as they drive down your standard of living.

Islam Over Runs London Streets

Islam has religious, legal, political, economic and military components. The religious component is a beard for all the other components.

Front Page Magazine

April 21st 2008

Islamization occurs when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their so-called 'religious rights.'

When politically correct and culturally diverse societies agree to 'the reasonable' Muslim demands for their 'religious rights,' they also get the other components under the table. Here's how it works (percentages source CIA: The World Fact Book (2007)).

As long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone. In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness:

United States -- Muslim 1.0%
Australia -- Muslim 1.5%
Canada -- Muslim 1.9%
China -- Muslim 1%-2%
Italy -- Muslim 1.5%
Norway -- Muslim 1.8%

At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs:

Denmark -- Muslim 2%
Germany -- Muslim 3.7%
United Kingdom -- Muslim 2.7%
Spain -- Muslim 4%
Thailand -- Muslim 4.6%

From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population.

They will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves -- along with threats for failure to comply. ( United States ).

France -- Muslim 8%
Philippines -- Muslim 5%
Sweden -- Muslim 5%
Switzerland -- Muslim 4.3%
The Netherlands -- Muslim 5.5%
Trinidad &Tobago -- Muslim 5.8%

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islam is not to convert the world but to establish Sharia law over the entire world.

When Muslims reach 10% of the population, they will increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions ( Paris --car-burnings). Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats ( Amsterdam - Mohammed cartoons).

Guyana -- Muslim 10%
India -- Muslim 13.4%
Israel -- Muslim 16%
Kenya -- Muslim 10%
Russia -- Muslim 10-15%

After reaching 20% expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burning:
Ethiopia -- Muslim 32.8%

At 40% you will find widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks and ongoing militia warfare:

Bosnia -- Muslim 40%
Chad -- Muslim 53.1%
Lebanon -- Muslim 59.7%

From 60% you may expect unfettered persecution of non-believers and other religions, sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels:

Albania -- Muslim 70%
Malaysia -- Muslim 60.4%
Qatar -- Muslim 77.5%
Sudan -- Muslim 70%

After 80% expect State run ethnic cleansing and genocide:

Bangladesh -- Muslim 83%
Egypt -- Muslim 90%
Gaza -- Muslim 98.7%
Indonesia -- Muslim 86.1%
Iran -- Muslim 98%
Iraq -- Muslim 97%
Jordan -- Muslim 92%
Morocco -- Muslim 98.7%
Pakistan -- Muslim 97%
Palestine -- Muslim 99%
Syria -- Muslim 90%
Tajikistan -- Muslim 90%
Turkey -- Muslim 99.8%
United Arab Emirates -- Muslim 96%

100% will usher in the peace of 'Dar-es-Salaam' -- the Islamic House of Peace -- there's supposed to be peace because everybody is a Muslim:

Afghanistan -- Muslim 100%
Saudi Arabia -- Muslim 100%
Somalia -- Muslim 100%
Yemen -- Muslim 99.9%

Of course, that's not the case. To satisfy their blood lust, Muslims then start killing each other for a variety of reasons.

"Before I was nine I had learned the basic canon of Arab life. It was me against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family against my cousins and the clan; the clan against the tribe; and the tribe against the world and all of us against the infidel." – Leon Uris, 'The Haj'

It is good to remember that in many, many countries, such as France, the Muslim populations are centered around ghettos based on their ethnicity. Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. Therefore, they exercise more power than their national average would indicate.

.

Wild Thing's comment........

Just like the liberals and their PC demands and socialist agenda for America inch by inch getting their way in our country. I can see the followers of Islam doing the same thing. We already have seen changes happen in our country, at schools, gyms, grocery stores, airports, the list has begun.

I wish more people loved America and wanted to know what is happening. I wish they realized how the people we put in leadership have a tremendous effect on what will happen to our countries future.

But instead they chant "yes we can" and want a movement of promises labeled Change. Instead they only want to listen to the deep anger filled furrowed headed foreheads filled with hate and resentment for the shallow disappointment of being black and not white.

Too stupid to care how many Muslim groups endorse this couple the Obama's. Too filled with themselves to care what happens to the USA in 4 years, 8 years, 12 years. Too ignorant to read and learn the damage the Clinton's did during their reign of terror that we as a country still have not recovered from.

Lazy and selfish, these self involved twists motivated more by the me syndrome then why is my country the land of the free. How can I thank a Veteran today, how can I send a thank you to our troops for all they do.

The USA with no trouble at all could easily move up the list of higher percentages of Muslims you see above. I truly fear for the future of our land. All I can think of is how grateful I am to know each one of you and your passion for love of our beloved America. Your friendship and comments mean more to me then you will ever know, your hearts wanting the best for our country. In this I am deeply grateful.

Human Shield Movement To Iran Receives 10,000th Pledge

Human Shield Movement to Iran receives 10,000th pledge

payvand's news

The Human Shield Movement has announced it reached its 10,000th pledge member. The lucky guy to sign on as a Human Shield Volunteer number ten thousand is Steven Morris from Birmingham UK. Morris has pledged to use his body as a “human shield” against an “attack on Iran” from “neo-con” President Bush.

Steven Morris, the 10,000th pledge member of the movement said today

"I am fully committed to going to Iran to try and stop an attack on Iran. I demonstrated against the Iraq war and it made no difference. Having ten thousand Westerners will make the war-mongers think twice before they attack Iran. I do not support the Ahmadinejad regime but if we ignore international law and start bombing a sovereign nation that has not deviated from its obligations under the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty and offers no direct threat to any nation, the world will be an much more dangerous place."

A spokesperson for the movement, David Tyler said today;

"Travelling to Iran as human shields is the 'last resort' but it seems that an attack on Iran is not just a real possibility but an imminent reality. The military and political maneuvers all seem to point to one thing, The unproven allegations that Iran is arming insurgents in Iran, the labeling of the Revolutionary Guard as terrorists, the increased military spending, the build up of forces on the Iranian borders and the unverified and unverifiable claims about Iran's nuclear weapons program have left us in little doubt that time is running out. Traditional methods of protest are ineffective in the face of the neo-Con determination to implement their global vision. "
"We now have our 10,000th pledge member and whilst we recognize that many of these people will not be able to actually travel to Tehran, many have already arranged Iranian visas and are ready to travel to Iran at short notice. None of the shields want to die but all are unwilling to sit by and wait for politicians to launch another disastrous war in their name. It is up to each and every one of us to do everything in our power to prevent a dangerously misguided foreign policy. Many people cannot join the movement because of commitments to family and dependents but it is incumbent on all of us to do something to our opposition to war which will once again be carried out in our name."

Wild Thing's comment........

LOL....You can’t make this stuff up! Tell me then: What’s the downside of an attack on Iran’s nuclear weapons program? We destroy an evil regime’s WMD and rid the world of tens-of-thousands of mindless peacecreeps in one fell swoop! BRILLIANT!

None of these “10,000” would lift a hand to defend their own nations against Muslim intrusion, but would gladly die for Iran...I can’t even imagine how truly warped liberals really are - how they can even think the way they do....good riddance to moronic fools.

McCain Planning Climate Change Tour

McCain planning climate change tour

Examiner.com Seattle from Drudge

"We've gotten our hands on an advanced transcript of this weekend's "The Chris Matthews Show" on NBC and the British Broadcasting Corporation's Katty Kay offered this nugget during the show's "Tell Me Something I Don't Know" segment:

"John McCain is going to be doing more of these themed tours of America, and one of them is going to be on energy and global climate change. It could get him into trouble with Republicans, of course, and with the base, who don't think there is much climate change going on, but it is something that he's very passionate about and he's going to be talking about it."

.

And this from last weeks O'Reilly show:

Fox

O'REILLY: You voted against ANWR drilling. You voted against ANWR.

MCCAIN: Yes, and I'll vote against drilling if they want to drill in the Grand Canyon, and I'll vote against it if they want to drill in the Everglades. And I will try to make it more attractive for Florida and California and other states to have drilling off of their coasts, but I'm not going to force them to because...

O'REILLY: But no one lives in ANWR.

MCCAIN: No, it's pristine beauty.

O'REILLY: So what? Who sees it?

MCCAIN: Well, all I do is believe that we have to preserve some of the great natural treasures of this earth...

O'REILLY: In the Arctic Circle?

MCCAIN: ...no matter where they are, my friend. And I...

O'REILLY: You know, a lot of people aren't going to like that.

MCCAIN: I know a lot of people don't like it, but I am also an environmentalist.

A climate change tour.....Oh mty gosh!

I never saw anything like it how McCain could care less about the conservatives vote.

Not only that, but he is saying he believes the lies from Gore and his ilk. That is SCARY that he is so unable to tell the difference. No alarm going off inside his head when he is presented with BS vs. something that is true and actually happening.

Khalid Yasin Will Deliever His Hate At College In Ohio

Khalid Yasin (also known as Abu Muhammad, Abu Muhammad Khalid Yasin, and Abu Muhammad, Khalid Yasin' [ 3, born in the 1950's 4 in Brooklyn, New York.

Yasin now lives and operates his Da'wah organisation in Sheffield, England.

He founded, directs and runs the Islamic Broadcasting Corporation and The Purpose of Life Centre on Shirecliffe Lane, Sheffield. The organization was formerly known as the Islamic Teaching Institute (ITI) and the Islamic Information Network Ltd where it is believed in the past ten years, the ITI has converted more than 5,000 persons to Islam and an additional 1,700 since the September 11 attacks.

Khalid Yasin is one of the most notorious Islamic hate sheikhs in the world today. He had been widely condemned from the US to Britain to Australia for his violent Wahhabism, his extreme anti-Americanism (despite the fact that he is an American-born convert

Khalid Yasin will be lecturing at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio on May 16th, sponsored by Dayton’s Masjid-at-Taqwa.

For example, consider some of his stated positions:

* Yasin says that the US government was behind the 9/11 attacks.

* Yasin claims that AIDS was invented at a US government lab and spread by Western governments through UN agencies and Christian missionaries.

* Yasin advocates for the death penalty for homosexuality.

* Yasin justified the terrorist bombings in Bali because of years of Western oppression.

* Yasin says that the Quran permits wife-beating and that equal rights for women is a “delusion” and “foolishness”.

* Yasin calls the beliefs of Christians and Jews “filth”.

* Yasin says that Muslims cannot have non-Muslim friends.

* Yasin rejects any separation between Islam and the state and openly advocates for the reestablishment of the caliphate.

* Yasin visited Jemaah Islamiah terrorist leader Abu Bakar Bashir in prison.

* Yasin has lectured with Hizb-ut-Tahrir hatemonger Omar Bakri Mohammed, who was banned from the UK in 2006.

* Yasin was in Saudi Arabia on 9/11 soliciting support from the Al-Qaeda front Al-Haramain Foundation, which was designated a terrorist organization in 2004 by the US government, to help finance his Islamic Broadcasting Company.

22 people accept Islam After Brother Khalid Yasin lecture

He didn't shake hands with the ladies because in Islam men and women who are not related or married are not allowed to touch each other.

....." 22 new Australian brothers and sisters enter Islam after hearing the truth while at a lecture given by brother sheikh Khalid Yasin. They came up to the stage and took their Shahada (testimony of faith) which goes like this. I that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, and Muhammad is his last prophet and messenger. The minute a person says those 2 declarations they are considered Muslims and they are on their way to a new and beautiful way of life, and gain about 1.5 BILLION new brothers and sister. May Allah make their conversion easy on them in every way, and keep them strong in their new faith. Ameen"......

Wild Thing's comment........

What surprised me in the video was how many looked like Mom's. I wonder if like the one woman that said her son told her to go to the meeting, I wonder if these women have sons that have taken up Islam. VERY WEIRD!!!!

I wonder if this guy is hoping Obama will win. Probably!

A Special Lapel Pin For B. Hussein Obama

Here is the new pin replete with all 57 stars:
from Suitably Flip blog

Patriotic Barack Obama lapel pins unveiled honoring all 57 states

LA Times

Yesterday The Ticket broke the stunning news of America's acquisition of seven, maybe eight, new states, according to future president Barack Obama.

Besides trying to noodle out what the new states are, some clever campaign folks over at the phenomenal Suitably Flip blog got to thinking right away.

And they've now unveiled a new patriotic lapel pin that anyone can wear with pride even, say, a Harvard-educated senator from Illinois who's been trying to make a point about opposing a war before it even started.

Let's all give a warm, manifestly destined welcome to what I assume are our 7 newest states:

51. Puerto Rico
52. Guam
53. Northern Mariana
54. American Samoa
55. St. Croix
56. St. Thomas
57. St. John

I guess we should've seen this coming when Obama was reported to be meeting unofficially with the Governor of the U.S. Virgin Islands when he took his family on "vacation" to St. Thomas.

Wild Thing's comment........

I have to wonder if what Obama was thinking of might even have been this.......
