Sen. Barrasso: Obama Regime Has “Cooked The Books” On Obamacare Sign Up Numbers

FOX News

A Republican senator said on Sunday that the lack of details about enrollment numbers suggests the Obama administration has “cooked the books.”

Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., made his comments just hours before the Monday deadline to enroll and was skeptical of the administration’s most recent enrollment figure of 6 million Americans.

“I don’t think it means anything,” he told “Fox News Sunday.” “They are cooking the books on this.”

Nothing would surprise me about Obama or his people and what they are capable of doing.

No Way, Forget about it GOP!!! GOP donors reportedly working to draft Jeb Bush for 2016 presidential run

GOP donors reportedly working to draft Jeb Bush for 2016 presidential run

A group of top Republican donors have reportedly begun an intense effort to draft former Florida governor Jeb Bush into the race for the GOP presidential nomination in 2016.

A Washington Post report quotes one major donor as saying that the "vast majority" of the top 100 givers to 2012 GOP nominee Mitt Romney would back Bush in a nomination fight.

Earlier this week, Bush met privately with casino magnate and GOP donor Sheldon Adelson and addressed the Republican Jewish Coalition's senior members at a dinner held Thursday at Adelson's company airport hangar. The Post, citing a donor in attendance at the dinner, reported that the crowd of about 60 guests applauded when one told Bush, "I hope you run for President in 2016."

Wild Thing's comment.........

No way and no way to Chris Christie and Rand Paul. I wish the GOP would stop this insane thing of picking the person and not letting all of us decide the one we want.

Republican Rep. Duncan Hunter slams reported proposal to ban tobacco sales on Navy bases, ships

Hunter slams reported proposal to ban tobacco sales on Navy bases, ships

Republican Rep. Duncan Hunter is speaking out against a reported proposal being considered by the Navy to ban the sale of tobacco products on all its bases and ships, calling it a “political decision.”

The Military Times reported Monday that Navy officials are considering removing tobacco from all retail outlets, including exchange-operated sales venues and Morale, Welfare and Recreation program outlets. Navy commissaries do not sell tobacco products.

Hunter, a Marine veteran who served two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan, said in a letter to Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus he strongly opposes the ban, saying it will limit or restrict service members from purchasing legal products.

“While I recognize the Navy believes removing tobacco products would help in ‘maximizing the readiness’ of sailors and Marines, it’s my belief that the Navy should worry less about intruding on the personal-decision making of these same sailors and Marines, while creating added burdens in the process,” Hunter wrote.

Hunter said the decision to ban cigarette sales would be a “political decision to make a point,” rather than one that will actually help the troops. He added he thinks that the Navy and Marines Corps should have more pressing issues to attend to than tobacco.

Navy spokeswoman Lt. Cmdr. Sarah Flaherty told the Military Times that there have been discussions about tobacco sales, but that no decision has been made.

The Navy has taken steps in recent years to discourage tobacco sales, such as eliminating sales in its commissaries and removing discounts on tobacco prices in Navy and Marine Corps exchanges in 2012, according to the Military Times.

Wild Thing's comment...........

Hunter is right and I agree with what he has said about this.

Afghanistan-Iraq Vets Prefer George W. Bush over Obama by Two to One Ratio

Afghanistan-Iraq Vets Prefer George W. Bush over Obama by Two to One Ratio

The Washington Post released a lengthy article this weekend based on a survey of 819 veterans of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Buried deep in the article by Post reporter Rajiv Chandrasekaran, who spent two years in Iraq as the Post’s bureau chief, is this bombshell:

“When it comes to their most-senior commander, the vets decisively prefer George W. Bush to Obama. Only a third approve of the way Obama is handling his job, and 42 percent of them think he has been a good commander in chief despite his decisions to bring troops home from Iraq, wind down the war in Afghanistan and increase resources for veterans. By contrast, nearly two-thirds of them think Bush, who launched both wars, was a good commander in chief.

“Their views of the two presidents appear to be shaped less by political affiliation than by concern over the Obama administration’s plans to reduce the size of the military, trim benefits for future service members and curtail the purchase of some costly new weapons systems. Nearly half of vets regard themselves as political independents. Among those who identify with a party, the Republican-Democratic split is only 27 percent to 17 percent.”

Wild Thing's comment..........

Not surprised , Obama is the worst most horrific CIC in the history of our country.

California to Open DMV Facilities for Illegals Only

California to Open DMV Facilities for Illegals Only

The California Department of Motor Vehicles is setting up new facilities to process driver’s license applications for illegal immigrants.

Last year, Gov. Jerry Brown signed into law a bill, AB 60, which will allow illegal immigrants to obtain the documents beginning Jan. 1, 2015.

The bill was signed along with a number of others laws seen as favorable to undocumented immigrants.

As part of the driver’s license application process, immigrants will have to acknowledge that they are undocumented. But AB 60 protects applicants from criminal prosecution.

The measure will provide an avenue for the state’s three to four million undocumented immigrants to obtain licenses, which advocates have said are necessary in order for the immigrants to get to and from work. The law is expected to allow up to 1.4 million undocumented immigrants to obtain licenses.

Disgusting and IMO very much against our country and it's laws.

Liar Harry Reid Now Claiming He never said ObamaCare Horror Stories are “Lies”

Harry Reid Now Claiming He never said ObamaCare Horror Stories are “Lies”; Video Shows He Clearly Did

Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid saying flatly that he has never called the multitude of ObamaCare Horror Stories, “lies.” Yet, as the video documents, on February 26, 2014, he called them on the Senate Floor – all of them – “lies,” adding that they are “made up from whole cloth.”

Now, Reid is backpeddling, claiming he never said what he clearly did. Harry Reid is a disgrace as Senate Majority Leader.

On February 26, 2014 - Harry Reid said Republicans were making up lies about Obamacare.

“We heard about the evils of Obamacare, about the lives it’s ruining in Republicans’ stump speeches and in ads paid for by oil magnates, the Koch brothers. But in those tales, turned out to be just that: tales, stories made up from whole cloth, lies distorted by the Republicans to grab headlines or make political advertisements.”

On March 27, 2014 - Harry Reid came to the senate floor and said he never called Republicans liars.

“Mr. President, the junior senator from Wyoming has come to the floor several times recently talking about the fact that examples that he and others Republicans have given dealing with ObamaCare, examples that are bad, I’ve called lies. Mr. President, that is simply untrue,”

Wild Thing's comment.............

If all was right in the world Harry Reid would be sued, and punished for his many lies, plus kicked out of office...never to be allowed to hold any office ever again.

Krauthammer on Who to Believe about Obama’s Meeting with the Pope: The Pope, “or the man who said ‘If you like your plan. . .’”

Who to believe? The Pope or “the man who said, ‘If you like your plan you can keep your plan.’”

Barack Obama says he and the Pope did not discuss “social issues” like abortion, but the Vatican’s press release has a different story.

Wild Thing's comment............

I agree with Charles, why on earth would I ever believe what Obama says about anything.
This is so shameful, Obama could not even tell the truth about the conversation he had with the Pope. He just cannot stand ofr anyone, including the Pope to correct him about his stand on abortion or obamacare.

POPE FRANCIS Lectures Obama on Pro-Life, Freedom Concerns During Vatican Visit

POPE FRANCIS Lectures Obama on Pro-Life, Freedom Concerns During Vatican Visit

Pope Francis lectured pro-abortion President Obama today on pro-life issues and religious freedom.
The Vatican Press reported:

In the context of bilateral relations and cooperation between Church and State, there was a discussion on questions of particular relevance for the Church in that country, such as the exercise of the rights to religious freedom, life and conscientious objection, as well as the issue of immigration reform. Finally, the common commitment to the eradication of trafficking of human persons in the world was stated.

Life News

The details of the private meeting between Pope Francis and pro-abortion President Barack Obama are not yet available, but early indications are that the leader of the Catholic Church brought up pro-life issues with the man considered the “Abortion President” by pro-life advocates.

According to a press statement from the Vatican, the two discussed pro-life issues and religious freedom, a pressing issue given the Supreme Court hearing this week on the Hobby Lobby case to stop the HHS mandate, which forces companies and organizations to pay for abortion-causing drugs for their employees.

“In the context of bilateral relations and cooperation between Church and State, the Parties discussed questions of particular relevance for the Church, such as the exercise of the rights to religious freedom, life and conscientious objection, as well as the issue of immigration reform,” the press statement said.

Kathryn Lopez, a pro-life editor at National Review, said the statement shows Obama may have gotten a lecture, or at least encouragement to be open-minded on these key pro-life issues, from the Pope.

Wild Thing's comment...........

Good for the Pope.Of course Obama lied and downplayed what the Pope discussed with him and even lied about what the Pope told him.

Corrupt Malaysia says there's sealed evidence on MH370 that cannot be made public

Malaysia says there's sealed evidence on MH370 that cannot be made public

A Malaysian team have told relatives of Chinese passengers on board the missing Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH370 that there was sealed evidence that cannot be made public, as they came under fire from the angry relatives at a briefing on Wednesday.

The sealed evidence included air traffic control radio transcript, radar data and airport security recordings.

The briefing at the Metropark Lido Hotel in Beijing focused on UK satellite analysis which led Malaysia to conclude that flight MH370 ended in south Indian Ocean, off Perth.

The Chinese relatives were told that a five-member high-level team from Malaysia plans to brief them once every five days. The team include MAS pilot Lim Jit Koon and senior civil aviation official Ahmad Nizar Zolfakar.

During the question-and-answer session, a relative said: “Thanks for demonstrating your ability to read every word out of the powerpoint slides.”

Another asked: “If the info is from UK satellite firm Inmarsat, does it mean the Malaysia team cannot answer our questions on the MH370 analysis?”

Faced with the barrage of questions from the angry relatives, the MAS team replied: “We can answer but we might not be correct as we’re not the investigators”

Wild Thing's comment........

First I do not believe that the plane crashed out in the ocean, at least not without more real proof. And now this BS about information being kept secret is also BS.

Malaysia has shown from day one how uncaring they are, how corrupt and disorganized they are and also how unprofessional they have handled this whole horrible thing.

House Democrats Demand GOP Stop Investigating Benghazi - I have seen a few Rino's say this too.

House Democrats Demand GOP Stop Investigating Benghazi

More than a year and a half after the attack on a U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya, House Democrats say they’ve had enough of Republicans’ “partisan investigation” into the incident.

In a letter sent Wednesday, all 17 Democrats on the House Oversight Committee asked the panel’s chairman Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., to end his probe of the attack and to focus instead on “responsible oversight” that helps protect overseas diplomats.

Four Americans were killed in the attack in Benghazi on September 11, 2012, including then-Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens.

“To date, the Committee’s investigation has been characterized by wild and unsubstantiated political accusations that turn out to be completely inaccurate after further investigation,” wrote the Democrats, led by the committee’s ranking member Elijah Cummings, D-Md. “We believe it is time to end these seemingly endless and unsubstantiated political attacks and direct the Committee’s efforts toward concrete and lasting reforms.”

The letter cited several of Issa’s statements on Benghazi that were deemed false by fact-checking organizations, bemoaning the “reckless pattern of launching wholly unfounded accusations on national television” that has undermined “the credibility of our Committee and the seriousness of our work.”

John Bolton: Obama Is Living In a World of Words, Putin Is Living In a World of Power

Bolton: Obama Is Living In a World of Words, Putin Is Living In a World of Power

Former U.N. ambassador: Obama's speech a 'frightening revelation' about how president thinks

Former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton saw President Obama’s speech in Brussels today as deeply concerning for the United States and a grave insight into how Obama views international relations.

Bolton, speaking directly after the speech on Fox News, was flummoxed that President Obama’s chief concern appeared to be that Russian President Vladimir Putin violated international law by invading Ukraine.

Absent, Bolton noted, was any mention of Russia’s imperialist motivations or the need to implement further deterrents against Putin.

“There’s nothing in the speech about understanding force and power and international affairs the way the Russians do and how they proceeded, nor anything about deterrents or dissuasion. It was almost entirely about international norms, international law, the United Nations, none of which have done a thing to stop Russians in Ukraine.”

Additionally, Bolton ripped President Obama for suggesting U.S. interests in Ukraine are minimal considering the former Soviet state’s geopolitical significance.

“I think the president is living in a world of words and Putin is living in a world of power. I mean, the president even went so far as to argue actual U.S. interests in the Ukraine are fairly minimal. What concerns us is the violation of international law. I actually think we’ve got major tangible interest in the Ukraine,” he said.

If the U.S. and Europe fail to band together in a show of force against Putin, Bolton argued, further endangers Ukraine and will encourage other hostile nations around the around to mimic Putin’s expansionist agenda.

“That weakness, that inability to show strength, I think encourages Putin in Ukraine and rest of the former Soviet Union, and encourages other adversaries in other parts of the world like China to be assertive in their behavior as well.”

Wild Thing's comment.............

Obama's speech was horrible as usual. He is truly the worst of the worst as president.

Sen. Ted Cruz: The Russians are 'openly laughing' at Obama

Sen. Ted Cruz: The Russians are 'openly laughing' at Obama

Sen. Ted Cruz believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian leaders no longer respect President Obama because of his failure to lead.

"The only thing Putin respects is strength ... At this point the Russians are openly laughing at the president," Cruz, R-Texas, told the Washington Examiner.

Cruz added that Putin's aggressiveness was "a direct consequence" of the absence of American leadership in the world.

"The weakness and incoherent foreign policy of the Obama administration -- from President Obama, under Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and under Secretary [John] Kerry -- has undermined our allies and has strengthened our enemies and put Putin in particular in a far stronger position," Cruz declared.

Cruz acknowledged that he was glad Obama was "reluctantly" and "slowly" moving toward acting on Ukraine, but added that he should be doing more.

He suggested that Obama sign a free trade agreement with Ukraine, develop natural gas infrastructure to export resources to Ukraine, and restore a missile defense program in Eastern Europe.

"I think Putin's aggressiveness and act of war against Ukraine is a direct consequence of the absence of U.S. leadership," Cruz said. "For five years, America has receded from leadership in the world, and into that vacuum has stepped in nations like Russia, Iran, and China — and has made the world a much more dangerous place."

Wild Thing's comment...........

Obama is such an embarrassment to our country.

Vets Send Powerful Message To Obama: ‘American Weakness is Dangerous’

The group has created multiple videos made from interviews with soldiers who fought in Iraq’s Anbar province and family members of soldiers who were killed in Iraq.

Vets Send Powerful Message To Obama: ‘American Weakness is Dangerous’

A group of veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars has started a White House petition to send the message that “American weakness is dangerous.”

In a letter to the president, the group Vets for Freedom outlines the administration’s dangerous approach to national security.

Mr. President,

For veterans of the Iraq War, watching the black flag of Al Qaeda fly over Fallujah—as the adjacent video outlines—is the ultimate symbol of weak and feckless national security policy. Dismissing this American battlefield is an insult to the sacrifice and honor of our warriors and their families. Unfortunately, it’s just another recent example of your administration’s dangerous approach to national security; let us briefly recount other ways.

Afghanistan War veterans bemoan a failed ‘surge then withdraw’ strategy—costing lives and losing ground. In Syria, we set rhetorical red-lines that a Iranian-backed dictator ignored—and then did nothing. Speaking of Iran, their nuclear ambitions continue unabated—with Israel left standing alone. In Libya we ‘led from behind’—with spiraling violence and a dead US ambassador in Benghazi to show for it. China’s increases their defense budget substantially—while we gut ours precipitously. And most recently, an empowered Russia had their way with a sovereign nation—while we did nothing. Other fault lines—in Pakistan, North Korea, Turkey and Egypt—haven’t escaped our gaze either.

Bottom line: America’s enemies don’t fear us, our allies don’t trust us, and the world is more dangerous. For decades, a national security policy of ‘Peace through Strength’ underwrote U.S. security at home and our interests abroad—but not any more. Mr. President, in just five short years, you have managed to gut our military, dismiss clear and present threats, and leave America’s image and stature in tatters. We can’t stand for this.

Wild Thing's comment...........

God bless our Veterans.

Steny Hoyer To House Dems: You Must “Embrace” Obamacare (socialized medicine), “It’s the democrats Bill”

Steny Hoyer To House Dems: You Must “Embrace” Obamacare (socialized medicine), “It’s the democrats Bill”

The Hill

House Democrats own ObamaCare and they’ll run on it aggressively ahead of November’s elections, House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) said Tuesday.

“The fact is that the Affordable Care Act [ACA] is our bill,” he said during a press briefing in the Capitol. “We think it’s good for America. We supported it, and we still do. … And I urge my members to go out and embrace it.

“Now we can … shuck and jive and, you know, bob and weave and duck and hide,” he added, “[but] I don’t think that works.”

Republicans are hoping the troubles that have plagued President Obama’s healthcare reform law – particularly the botched rollout of the administration’s online insurance menu – will pay dividends at the polls, and they’ve focused intently on the law as a Democratic liability with voters.

GOP leaders were energized by this month’s special election victory in Florida, where Republican David Jolly defeated Democrat Alex Sink in a contest where her support for the healthcare law became a central issue.

“If you’re a Democrat in one of those crossover seats, I’d be panicked this morning, because their playbook they’ve given [Democrats] is to run on ObamaCare,” Rep. Greg Walden (Ore.), head of the National Republican Congressional Committee said after Jolly’s win. “Go support the president and go support ObamaCare, and they tried that out and it failed.”

Obama's Justice Department Refuses To Charge Woman Who Voted For Obama Six Times

Justice Department Refuses To Charge Woman Who Voted For Obama Six Times

Last week Al Sharpton embraced convicted vote fraudster Melowese Richardson at a “voting rights” rally in Cincinnati. The United States Department of Justice under Eric Holder has done nothing to Melowese Richardson 410 days after she admitted on camera that she committed multiple federal felonies by voting six times for President Obama’s reelection.

Federal law makes it a felony to vote more than once for President. In fact, 42 U.S.C. Section 1973i(e) subjects Richardson to twenty-five years in federal prison for her six votes for Obama.

The lack of DOJ action against an unrepentant federal vote fraudster combined with Richardson’s lionization by Sharpton and the organization that sponsored the rally demonstrates how the Justice Department is facilitating a culture of brazen criminality on the eve of the 2014 midterm elections. The failure to indict Richardson is the latest example of Holder’s department excusing lawlessness in federal elections and abandoning law abiding Americans.

Melowese Richardson was charged with state voter fraud crimes in Ohio. She was found guilty and sentenced to five years in prison on July 7, 2013. Unfortunately, instead of serving five years, Richardson was set free after only eight months.

Wild Thing's comment............

Of course it would be different if she had voted for Mitt Romney 6 times.

Obama Reminds Europe He’s Gutting The U.S. Military

Obama highlighted his European roots in an interview with Dutch newspaper de Volkskrant, pointing out that the United States was firmly committed to the security of Europe.

During the interview, Obama was asked if his understanding of Europe was different since he lived in Indonesia as a boy and talked about pivoting his attention to Asia.

“We’re linked by heritage and history, with millions of Americans tracing their roots to Europe, including me,” Obama said. “Yes, I was born in Hawaii and spent part of my youth in Indonesia. But it’s also true that through my mother I can trace my ancestry to Europe — to Ireland and Great Britain.” [...]

“As we have told our European allies many times, we want to see more European nations meeting their commitments when it comes to defense spending,” he said. “In the United States, after two wars, we are moving toward a leaner military.”

Exclusive - Study: Obama Most Well-Traveled, Expensive President In History Through Five Years

Exclusive - Study: Obama Most Well-Traveled, Expensive President In History Through Five Years

Barack Obama has spent more time traveling abroad than other U.S. president in history at this point in their presidencies, according to a forthcoming study from the National Taxpayer Union Foundation (NTUF) provided exclusively to Breitbart News ahead of its public release.

“The most internationally well-traveled President, through five years, is also flying the most expensive-to-operate Air Force One to date,” NTUF wrote.

After five years in the White House, Obama has taken 31 trips for a total of 119 days abroad. At that point in George W. Bush’s presidency, Bush had taken 28 trips for 116 days, while Bill Clinton had taken 27 trips for 113 days. Ronald Reagan, after five years, had taken 14 trips for 73 days while Richard Nixon had taken 12 trips for 60 days after five years in the White House and Lyndon Johnson took 10 trips for 34 days at the half-decade mark. Dwight Eisenhower took 8 trips for 31 days after five years in the White House.

Citing a recent report in the Washington Examiner that found through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) that taxpayers are on the hook for about $228,288 per Air Force One flight hour in 2013, a 27 percent increase from the previously confirmed cost of $179,750 per fight hour that NTUF used in its last study, the taxpayer watchdog concludes that Obama’s flights have cost taxpayers more than any other president.

“Taken on its own, the $48,535 jump may not sound all that significant,” NTUF added about the cost increase for Air Force One. “However, when trips are many thousands of miles and span several time zones and continents, the difference can quickly add up.”

NTUF estimates that Obama’s trip to Europe and the Middle East “will likely involve about 29 hours of total travel time, assuming a cruising speed of 575 mph between Washington, Amsterdam, Brussels, Rome, and Riyadh, and then back to D.C.” That amount, the group says, is going to cost taxpayers millions of dollars.

“Using the previous estimate, the total cost of flying Air Force One between those international cities would be about $5,212,750,” NTUF wrote. “Using the new data, the cost comes out to $6,620,352.”

NTUF added that those amounts are just estimates, and the actual cost is likely to be higher. “While these figures are approximations, and do not account for the additional (and likely greater) expenses of transporting the President’s Secret Service and diplomatic entourage, backup aircraft, land vehicles, and advance security teams, it goes to show that higher Air Force One operational costs substantially change the budgetary magnitude of these trips,” NTUF wrote.

Wild Thing's comment..........

Obama and his wife are abusing to the American people, in many different ways. His put downs, his threats, his bashing and the way they do the in our face spending of our tax dollars. Most of their trips are vacations and have nothing to do with running our country or important meetings with world leaders in other countries.

Pelosi Longs For Socialized Health Care: “I Wanted Single-Payer, I Wanted A Public Option”

REP. NANCY PELOSI (D-CA): I take issue — I see these little things in the paper about this or that. But our members — the story that you don’t write or see, maybe because you’re in Washington and our members are out in their districts. And as I travel, I see our members standing tall. As I said to you before, we’re not running on this; we’re running on what the American people want us to run on and that is job creation. Show us the jobs. Where are the jobs?

Why are we not here passing a jobs agenda incident 51 times having political nonsense on the floor of the House? But I’m very proud of our members. Yeah, any bill that is passed is no perfect. I wanted single-payer, I wanted a public option.

You know, I have some changes I would make myself. But as the implementation takes place, as we see improvements that can be made to any compromise, which the bill was, we will do that. But just because people say I don’t want to repeal it but I do want to fix it doesn’t mean they are walking away from it.

Harry Reid-Controlled Super PAC To Spend $3 Million On TV Ads Attacking The Koch Brothers

Harry Reid-Controlled Super PAC To Spend $3 Million On TV Ads Attacking The Koch Brothers

An aide to the Koch brothers on Friday ripped into a massive Democratic ad buy that attacks the billionaires across five Senate battleground states.

In reaction to a $3 million ad buy in Colorado, North Carolina, Arkansas, Michigan and Louisiana by Senate Majority PAC, a spokesman for Koch Industries accused the group of “negative cynical, divisive, and dishonest attacks” against Charles and David Koch.

The big spending by the Democratic group “is the latest round in a series of attacks and attempts to silence private citizens who dare to disagree with the policies of the Majority Leader and the current administration,” said Philip Ellender of Koch Industries. “Rather than focusing on job creation and improving Americans’ lives for the betterment of this country, Senator Reid has decided to focus instead on intimidating political opposition and squelching dissent.”

Senate Majority PAC has strong ties to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who has repeatedly expressed his disdain for the Koch-backed Americans for Prosperity and the millions of dollars it’s used to attack the records of Democratic senators on Obamacare and climate policy.

The spending by Senate Majority PAC will run for two weeks and seeks to paint Republican Senate candidates as supportive of policies that would benefit the Kochs and billionaires, according to the New York Times. It’s part of a party-wide strategy to draw attention to the conservative benefactors and the policies that they support. The strategy is increasingly being embraced by Democratic senators on the receiving end of AFP’s barrage.

Harry Reid is totally obsessed with hate for the Koch brothers.Reid is such an evil man.

Israeli Minister Rips Obama: “U.S. Foreign Policy Is Collapsing All Over The World,” Israel Can No Longer Rely On America

Another senior minister in Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s cabinet sharply criticized American foreign policy Tuesday, anonymously joining the open attack by Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon.

Speaking to journalists in the Knesset, the minister said the Americans’ handling of the crisis in Ukraine proved that Israel could no longer rely on the United States. He said it was clear to everyone that the US had never intended to take military action against the Russians.

“The lesson of this crisis screams to the sky,” the minister said. “US foreign policy is collapsing all over the world. America showing weakness in Russia has implications on the Palestinian front. Israel cannot be Ukraine. It is ridiculous to hear about American guarantees for Israeli security, which would at best last a few weeks. When we’re in danger, they won’t be there to defend us. We must be the sole guarantors of Israeli security.”

Insurers will see double-digit Obamacare price rises in many states next year

Insurers Will See Double-Digit Obamacare Price Hikes in 2015

U.S. consumers eligible for Obamacare health plans could see double-digit price hikes next year in states that fail to draw large numbers of enrollees for 2014, including some states that have been hostile to the healthcare law, according to insurance industry officials and analysts.

The early estimates come as insurance companies set out to design plans they intend to sell in 2015 through the state-based health insurance marketplaces that are a centerpiece of the Affordable Care Act, President Barack Obama’s signature domestic policy achievement that is widely referred to as Obamacare.

WellPoint Inc, which sells plans on 14 Obamacare exchanges, expects health insurance rates nationwide to be higher. Increases for the Obamacare market that has signed up about 5 million people to date is expected to outpace those in the employer-sponsored market, which serves about 170 million people.

“Looking at the rate increases on a year-over-year basis on our exchanges, and it will vary by carrier, but all of them will probably be in double digit plus,” Ken Goulet, president of WellPoint’s commercial business, told investors in New York on Friday.

The cost of health insurance is already a political hot potato in this year’s election campaign for control of Congress, with Republicans warning of the potential for sky-rocketing rates in their attempt to turn the ballot into a referendum on Obamacare.

Insurers have noted the difficulty of building and pricing plans for 2015, which will mark the second year of the Obamacare exchanges. Enrollment for 2014 closes on March 31, giving them very little time to review the costs of covering their new members before submitting proposed rates to insurance regulators in May and June.

Wild Thing's comment............

If and that is the clincher the if........ if this Obamacare would happen the whole way like it started out, my guess is most of those that voted for Obama would totally freak out and maybe not even vote for another dem.l Maybe I am naive but it would be nice to them all wake up like they should.

Hawaii's Gun Restrictions Deemed Unconstitutional

Hawaii's Gun Restrictions Deemed Unconstitutional

On the heels of two Ninth Circuit Court decisions striking down restrictions on concealed carry permits in California, the same court just put Hawaii on notice that some of its gun restrictions need to be changed as well.

Early in February, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals held that San Diego County's rule requiring residents to show "good cause" before being allowed to obtain a concealed carry permit violates the Second Amendment.

"The court ruled that the right to keep and bear arms is, in and of itself, a sufficient cause for bearing arms for self-defense. Moreover, it is a sufficient cause both inside and outside of one's domicile," Breitbart reported on February 13.

Forcing citizens to prove to the government why they should be allowed to gain a carry permit is a process called "may issue." With a may issue rule, government puts the onus on citizens to prove that they should be allowed to observe their Second Amendment rights. The Ninth Circuit essentially informed the California county that it must institute a "shall issue" rule, one that assumes the citizen is eligible for a permit unless government can prove otherwise.

This same rule has now been struck down for Hawaii and by the same Circuit Court.

With the case Baker v. Kealoha (9th Cir. Mar. 20, 2014), the Ninth Circuit ruled that Hawaii's restrictions were just like San Diego County's and the rules would have to be reworked to conform to earlier court decisions.

Law professor Eugene Volokh notes that gun rights advocates cannot start celebrating just yet because various cases are still making their way through the courts and these decisions could be overturned. But he also says that the law has been moving in the direction of expanding Second Amendment rights, not restricting them, so the "writing is on the wall" for gun control fanatics.

In a video posted Tuesday at Sipsey Street Irregulars, Anthony P. Colandro of New Jersey Gun for Hire told a State Assembly committee that he, along with many others, will not comply with a gun control bill working its way to Chris Christie’s desk.

He told lawmakers the bill being considered will turn a million gun owners into criminals with the stroke of a pen.

“Have you guys seen what is happening in Connecticut right now?” he asked. “One million gun owners in New Jersey are also gonna say, like our brothers and sisters in the north, that we will not comply.”

Obama Administration Looking at Handing Over $7 Billion in Military Equipment to Pakistan – FOR FREE

Obama Administration Looking at Handing Over $7 Billion in Military Equipment to Pakistan – FOR FREE

Pakistan eyes U.S. military equipment in Afghanistan

Washington Post

The Washington Post (WP) reported that the potential move could be, "part of an effort by the Pentagon to unload excess military supplies to US allies at no cost".

The report said that discussions on this issue has been taking place over several months between American and Pakistani officials.

One motive for this potential transaction is that the US does not want to pay to ship out leftover military hardware from the conflict in neighboring Afghanistan.

The WP report gives detail that although a final decision on this issue has not been taken, Pakistan has particular interest in acquiring the US Army’s mine-resistant ambush-protected (MRAP) vehicles.

The MRAP vehicles could be used by Pakistan's military in its fight against Taliban insurgents within its tribal areas bordering Afghanistan.

The WP report describes the MRAP as,"the backbone of the US military’s vehicle fleet in Afghanistan...designed to protect American troops from explosive devices".

Pentagon leaders have said it would potentially cost more than $100,000 per vehicle to ship MRAP vehicles back to the US.

The US government is offering the vehicles to allies for free on an “as-is, where-is” basis, said the report quoting a Pentagon spokesman.

A Pakistani security official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that the military was also interested in acquiring night-vision and communications equipment.

Siemon T. Wezeman, a senior researcher and South Asia expert at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, is quoted in the article as stating that the MRAP deal could be beneficial to both countries.

Wezeman says that the US military is wary about leaving behind surplus equipment in Afghanistan, fearing the Afghan army's ability to fend off the Taliban insurgency.

“There is a feeling in the US that the Afghan army is not totally reliable, so it may be safer to just park them in Pakistan,” Wezeman is quoted as saying.

However there is apprehension on the part of the US to make the equipment transfer fearing the impact it could have on its own relations with Afghanistan and Pakistan's arch-rival India.

Wezeman however doubts that India would seriously object “to a few hundred MRAPs ending up in Pakistan.”

He said that the vehicles are built to fight insurgencies and would have little value in a major cross-border war involving tanks and warplanes.

Another flipside is that Pakistan would itself put limits to the amount of equipment they would be willing to accept.

“Pakistan won’t become America’s junkyard,” the WP report quoted an official as saying.

Obama Pays Tribute to Socialist/Communist Forerunner Cesar Chavez and Calls Him a Hero

Obama Pays Tribute to Socialist Forerunner Cesar Chavez and calls him a hero.

Obama: Cesar Chavez ‘an American hero’

Washington Times

Obama called the late labor leader Cesar Chavez “an American hero” Wednesday at a White House screening of a new movie about the civil rights activist.

The president said Mr. Chavez, who organized migrant workers and farm laborers beginning in the 1950s, was an inspiration because he understood that persistence brings change.

“That is one of the great lessons of his life — we don’t give up the fight,” Mr. Obama said. “No matter how long it takes, no matter how long the odds, we keep on going.”

From Trevor Loudon:

The late United Farm Workers leader Cesar Chavez was trained by the famous Chicago agitator Saul Alinsky.

He worked closely with Communist Party USA members like Bert Corona and was closely affiliated to the US’ largest Marxist organization, Democratic Socialists of America.

Chavez marched under the famous slogan “Si se puede!” – later translated into English to become Obama’s 2008 campaign slogan “Yes we can!”

As Ted Cruz Predicted: PUTIN EYES ESTONIA – Signals Concern of Russian Minority

As Ted Cruz Predicted: PUTIN EYES ESTONIA – Signals Concern of Russian Minority

Today Russia signaled concerns of the large Russian minority in Estonia.

Russia signaled concern on Wednesday at Estonia’s treatment of its large ethnic Russian minority, comparing language policy in the Baltic state with what it said was a call in Ukraine to prevent the use of Russian.

Russia has defended its annexation of Ukraine’s Crimea peninsula by arguing it has the right to protect Russian-speakers outside its borders, so the reference to linguistic tensions in another former Soviet republic comes at a highly sensitive moment.

Russia fully supported the protection of the rights of linguistic minorities, a Moscow diplomat told the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, according to a summary of the session issued by the U.N.’s information department.

“Language should not be used to segregate and isolate groups,” the diplomat was reported as saying. Russia was “concerned by steps taken in this regard in Estonia as well as in Ukraine,” the Moscow envoy was said to have added.

Ted Cruz warned about this early yesterday.

Cruz: Reverse Obama’s Disastrous Missile Defense Policies to Keep Putin in Check....for complete statement from Cruz.

Today his sights are set on Ukraine, but if he continues undeterred tomorrow it could be Estonia, Latvia, Moldova, Romania, the Czech Republic, or Poland. Meeting his challenge now with strength, not appeasement, would be the best way to ensure that this does not happen, and that we do not squander our hard-won Cold War victory over the Soviets.

Obama : We Will Not Engage Russia Militarily

Obama told NBC San Diego that The U.S. will not take military action in the Ukraine crisis

"We are not going to be getting into military excursion in Ukraine. What we are going to do is mobilize all of our diplomatic resources to make sure that we’ve got a strong international correlation that sends a clear message"

Here is Barack Obama saying flatly that the United States is not going to engage Russia militarily in Ukraine. Nothing like the deterrent of creating an element of doubt in the minds of your enemies!

Just because you don’t intend to respond to Russia militarily does NOT mean you have to say that for all the world to hear! Obama said, “Might doesn’t make right.” Well, he just gave Vladimir Putin the green light to move into the rest of Ukraine or into other neighbors. Obama has essentially said, “We will do NOTHING of significance to stop you.”

Wild Thing's comment............

Might doesn’t make right? What a transparent diabolical non-man.Of course might makes right, depending on whose might it is.Was the might that stopped Hitler wrong? Is the might that stops someone from a crime wrong?

What an idiot - imagine anyone in the position to curtail wrong-doing not using their might. There are bad people in the world....this is what these flakes refuse to see.

I do NOT want to be in more wars especially with Obama as C.I.C.....But to broadcast to the world and to Putin that we will be weak is disgusting to me. Jus like when Obama said he was not looking for Victory in Afghanistan against the Taliban.

Rhode Island Dems May Revive Bill To Ban Sale of All Semi-Automatic Guns

Rhode Island Dems May Revive Bill To Ban Sale of All Semi-Automatic Guns

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — The debate over gun control is returning to the Rhode Island Statehouse, but it’s unclear if anything has changed from last year, when a proposal to ban the sale of semi-automatic weapons fell flat.

Gun rights supporters say they’ll gather at the capitol Tuesday as lawmakers review legislation that would ban the sale of semi-automatic firearms. The bill was first introduced last year following the 2012 Newtown, Conn., school shooting.

Supporters say restrictions on the weapons would reduce the risk of a mass shooting as well as more common acts of gun violence. But gun rights supporters say the proposal would infringe on Second Amendment rights and do little to address the problem of gun crime.

Lawmakers will also review legislation to ban large-capacity magazines.

Israeli Defense Minister: Obama projects "Weakness"; Israel can't rely on US to deal with Iran

Israeli Defense Minister: Obama projects "Weakness"; Israel can't rely on US to deal with Iran

In a wide-ranging discussion reported in the Israeli newspaper Ha’aretz, Israel’s plain-speaking defence minister Moshe Ya’alon said Monday that Tehran has the upper hand in nuclear negotiations, and dismissed the idea of Israeli dependence on the United States to lead an action against Iran’s nuclear program, saying that Israel can only rely on itself.

“We had thought the ones who should lead the campaign against Iran [would be] the United States,” said Ya’alon, speaking during an event at Tel Aviv University. “But at some stage the United States entered into negotiations with them, and unhappily, when it comes to negotiating at a Persian bazaar, the Iranians were better.”

If Israel had ever expected the United States to take out Iran’s nuclear weapons capability, that is not about to happen, Ya’alon said: “Therefore, on this matter, we have to behave as though we have nobody to look out for us but ourselves.”

Ya’alon issued a sharp critique of Washington’s attitude toward Iran, suggesting President Barack Obama would prefer to delay any confrontation until it could be passed on to his successor. “People know that Iran cheats,” Ya’alon said. “But comfortable Westerners prefer to put off confrontation – if possible, to next year, or the next president. But in the end, it will blow up.”

Iran went from being “on its knees” due to economic pressure, sanctions, diplomatic isolation, fear of an internal eruption and worry over military threats, to averting all crises through a clever “smile offensive,” Ya’alon said.

“There have been delays in the nuclear program, but the [interim] agreement [signed between Iran and the superpowers in Geneva] is very convenient for the Iranians,” Ya’alon said. “They’re settling down at the threshold and can decide when to make the breakthrough to a nuclear bomb.”

Ya’alon’s criticism of Obama’s foreign policy went beyond Iran. The defence minister alluded several times during his speech to Washington showing weakness in the world. “The moderate Sunni camp in the area expected the United States to support it, and to be firm, like Russia’s support for the Shi’ite axis,” Ya’alon said. “I heard voices of disappointment in the region. I was in Singapore and heard disappointment about China getting stronger and the U.S. getting weaker. Look what’s happening in Ukraine, where the United States is demonstrating weakness, unfortunately.”

An image of “feebleness” and weakness can only damage America’s own national security, Ya’alon said. “If you sit and wait at home, the terrorism will come again,” he said. “Even if you hunker down, it will come,” he added. “I hope the United States comes to its senses. If it doesn’t, it will challenge the world order, and the United States is the one that will suffer.”

Discussing security ties between Israel and the United States, Ya’alon said that U.S. military aid to Israel needs to be seen in context. “It isn’t a favor America is doing, it’s in their interest.” Israel not only takes from Washington, the minister added — it also gives. “They get quality intelligence and technology,” he said. “We invented Iron Dome. The wings of the F-35 stealth fighter – we invented. We invented the Arrow,” an anti-ballistic missile.

Ya’alon spoke as world powers and Iran are set to start a new round of talks Tuesday and Wednesday in Vienna over Iran’s contested nuclear program. On Sunday, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif predicted that the talks would not produce a final deal.

Wild Thing's comment.............

Israel has to look out for themselves, I sure can't blame them for the lack of confidence and trust for Obama.

Vladimir Putin: Russia and Ukraine “are One Nation, and Kiev (Capital of Ukraine) is the Mother of Russian Cities”

Here is Vladimir Putin speaking today and saying Russia and Ukraine “are one nation, and Kiev is the mother of Russian cities.” Kiev is the capital of Ukraine. Putin spoke repeatedly about the need for Russia to protect the interests of the millions of Russians living in Ukraine. He has already set the stage for either a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, or instigating pro-Russian protests that will create a situation he can use as a pretext for taking control of Eastern Ukraine at the least, and probably all of Ukraine.

Russia To Place Sanctions On U.S. Senators, Congressmen, WH Officials

Russia Will Sanction U.S. Senators

U.S. senators, congressmen and top Obama administration officials are sure to be on Vladimir Putin’s sanctions list; a response to the Obama Administration’s announcement on Monday that 7 Russian officials and 4 Ukrainian officials would be barred from holding assets or traveling to the United States.

Putin is expected to release his retaliation list as early as Tuesday and while the final list is still being crafted, it will include top Obama administration officials and high profile U.S. senators, in an effort to roughly mirror the U.S. sanctions against Russian officials and lawmakers, according to diplomatic sources. At the top of the list in Congress is Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin, who recently co-authored a resolution criticizing Russia’s invasion of Crimea.

Durbin’s inclusion on Putin’s list would mirror Obama’s naming of Valentina Matvienko, the head of the upper chamber of the Russian Duma. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell are not expected to be on the Russian sanctions list.

Durbin told The Daily Beast in a statement Monday: "My Lithuanian-born mother would be proud her son made Vladimir Putin’s American enemies list."

Sen. John McCain, who traveled to Kiev last weekend to meet with Ukrainian leaders, told The Daily Beast that he expects to be on the list and is happy about it.

“You think I’m not going to be on it?” McCain said. “I would be honored to be on that list.”

McCain said he would not be impacted financially by being subject to a visa ban and asset freeze in the Russian Federation. “I guess I’m going to have to try to withdraw my money from my secret account in St. Petersburg,” he joked

Wild Thing's comment...........

Choosing American Workers over Amnesty for Illegals

Choosing American Workers over Amnesty for Illegals

JFK won Macomb County, Michigan in 1960 by 75 percent. In 1980, Reagan won it by 66 percent. This heart of ‘Reagan Democrat’ country was closely split by Gore and Bush and Bush and Kerry… until Obama won it 53 to 45 in 2008 and by 51 to 47 in 2012.

The Republican Party doesn’t need to worry about the Latino vote nearly as much as it should be worrying about its inability to connect with white working class Americans. The pro-amnesty GOP establishment’s electoral vision of a party of corporations and minority voters already exists.

It’s called the Democratic Party.

The Republican Party’s fate in 2016 will be decided in places like Macomb County. It will be decided by white men and women earning $20,000 to $50,000 a year. It will be decided by working families struggling to get by and searching for answers from a government that keeps betraying them.

That is the point that Senator Jeff Sessions, the Republican senator who has stood tallest against amnesty, makes in his National Review article “Becoming the Party of Work.”

Sessions argues that slowing down immigration in a time of tremendous economic turmoil would actually be the populist thing to do. Three to one of those earning under $30,000 want to see reductions in immigration. Instead the Republican Party is alienating them further by championing illegal aliens.

“To open the ears of disaffected voters, the GOP must break publicly from the elite immigration consensus of Wall Street and Davos,” Sessions warns.

Too many Senate Republicans act like members of a globalist party who legislate while detached from the concerns of ordinary working Americans. McCain, the GOP candidate in 2008, and the most aggressive GOP proponent for amnesty in the Senate, whose daughter has made a career of “outreach” to her own class of hip young wealthy people, represents the opposite of what the GOP should be doing.

McCain’s infamous claim, “There are jobs Americans won’t do” was seen as embodying the detachment of the pro-amnesty elite from working Americans struggling to get by.

“Mitt Romney,” Sessions points out, “lost lower- and middle-income voters by an astonishing margin. Among voters earning $30,000 to $50,000, he trailed by 15 points, and among voters earning under $30,000 he trailed by 28 points.”

In 2008, McCain won only 25 percent of voters whose incomes fell below $15,000, 37 percent of voters whose incomes were between $15,000 and $30,000 and 43 percent of voters in the $30,000 to $50,000 range. That is not what a party that aspires to represent the silent majority of Americans looks like.

Inflation has changed income and demographics have changed as well, but still the only income group that Reagan lost in 1984 were in the under $12,500 range and even then it was close. Even in 1980, Reagan did not lose any income group by more than 10 percent.

George W. Bush was able to win back some Reagan Democrats, but the party never again equaled Reagan’s performance.

Senator Sessions however has some proposals for changing that from merging 80 means-tested poverty-assistance and welfare programs into one to be administered by a welfare office that doubles as a job training program to cracking down on corporate outsourcing and repealing ObamaCare.

The Republican Party has been able to put forward a credible pro-business agenda, but it needs a credible pro-worker agenda without assuming that talking about Staples is the same thing as connecting with Staples employees. If it fails to do that, it will be hammered by minimum wage and overtime measures until its voting base is limited to a shrinking upper middle class.

“Wherever the policies of the Left have been faithfully implemented, as in Detroit, human tragedy has followed. The future offered by the Left — a shrinking work force struggling to fund a growing welfare state — is not only unsustainable but uncompassionate. Compassion demands that we spare no effort in helping millions now jobless to realize the dream of financial independence. This is the urgent economic task of the 21st century,” Sessions writes.

The Republican Party has to stop merely running against welfare and start running on opportunity. The left’s response to the GOP’s anti-welfare rhetoric has been to swell the welfare rolls making more and more Americans complicit in the welfare state.

Instead of turning to 47% rhetoric, the critique of a political movement that has given up, it has to reclaim welfare voters and transform them into working voters.

Session’s agenda challenges the GOP to stop trying to plug a work culture hole with immigrants. Instead he urges the Republican Party to “help the millions struggling here today — immigrant and native-born alike — transition from dependency to self-sufficiency.”

Reagan understood that welfare was morally crippling. In his 1985 State of the Union address, he said, “Let us resolve that we will stop spreading dependency and start spreading opportunity; that we will stop spreading bondage and start spreading freedom.”

In a ringing critique of the welfare state, he stated that, “Policies that increase dependency, break up families, and destroy self-respect are not progressive; they’re reactionary. Despite our strides in civil rights, blacks, Hispanics, and all minorities will not have full and equal power until they have full economic power.”

This is the critique that Sessions and David Horowitz return to.

Last year, David Horowitz said that the “historic assault on Detroit’s African American population was absent from all the speeches and all the political ads of all the actors supporting free market solutions in the 2012 elections. The word ‘Detroit’ wasn’t mentioned.”

Amnesty for illegal aliens may be an even bigger assault on both lower income whites and blacks than anything before. Instead of countering it, too many Republicans are providing cover for it. Instead of offering American solutions to American problems, they take refuge in abstract free market ideology.

Sessions confronts the intersection between immigration and unemployment, between the welfare state and the open border and urges the Republican Party to stand up for American workers.

Amnesty is an assault on the economic freedom and opportunity of the voters that the Republican Party needs to win in 2016. The Republican Party has critiqued the Democratic Party’s debt slavery, borrowing trillions to be repaid in the future, but with amnesty the GOP is selling off its base of today in the hopes of buying a new demographic of voters from a new nation.

The United States cannot survive as a welfare nation, but the Republican Party cannot win it back until it relearns how to speak to the national interest instead of the global interest, to the American worker and the American businessman.

Wild Thing's comment............

Excellent article, I wish all the politicians in the GOP and the GOP itself would read it.

Obama Praises PLO Leader Terrorist Mahmoud Abbas As Someone Who “Consistently Denounced Violence”

Obama Praises PLO Leader Terrorist Mahmoud Abbas As Someone Who “Consistently Denounced Violence”

Obama on Monday praised Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas as someone who “consistently denounced violence” as the two leaders met in the White House to discuss the Mideast peace process.

Obama hosted Abbas for talks Monday as the U.S. pushes Israel and the Palestinians toward accepting a framework for further peace talks.

“Everyone understands the outlines of what [a] peace deal would look like,” Obama said.

But getting there would require both sides to take “very hard, very challenging, tough political decisions and risks,” he conceded.

Obama added that he would stress the importance of the “rule of law” and “transparency” to Abbas.

“I look forward to productive discussions,” he said.

Abbas thanked Obama for welcoming him to the White House and for the “economic and political support the U.S. is extending to the Palestinian state so it can stand on its own feet.”

"The Minstrel Boy to the war is gone In the ranks of death you will find him; His father's sword he hath girded on, And his wild harp slung behind him; "Land of Song!" said the warrior bard, "Tho' all the world betrays thee, One sword, at least, thy rights shall guard, One faithful harp shall praise thee!" -- Verse from the Minstrel Boy

THE MINSTREL BOY
by Thomas Moore

The Minstrel Boy to the war is gone
In the ranks of death you will find him;
His father's sword he hath girded on,
And his wild harp slung behind him;"
Land of Song!" said the warrior bard,
"Tho' all the world betrays thee,
One sword, at least, thy rights shall guard,
One faithful harp shall praise thee!"

The Minstrel fell! But the foeman's chain
Could not bring that proud soul under;
The harp he lov'd ne'er spoke again,
For he tore its chords asunder;
And said "No chains shall sully thee,
Thou soul of love and brav'ry!
Thy songs were made for the pure and free,
They shall never sound in slavery!"

An emotionally stirring and inspirational song, The Minstrel Boy was written by Thomas Moore (1779-1852) who set it to the melody of The Moreen, and old Irish aire. It is believed by many that Moore composed the song as a memorial to several of his friends he had met while a student at Trinity College and who had participated in the 1798 rebellion of the United Irishmen. One died in prison, another was wounded, and a third captured and hung. The song originally consisted of two verses. Due to its popularity, the song was a favorite of the many Irishmen who fought during the U.S. Civil War, primarily on the Union side. It was at this time that a third verse was added by unknown authors:

The Minstrel Boy will return we pray
When we hear the news we all will cheer it,
The minstrel boy will return one day,
Torn perhaps in body, not in spirit.
Then may he play on his harp in peace,
In a world such as Heaven intended,
For all the bitterness of man must cease.

Navy SEALs 'feel politicized under Obama'

Navy SEALs 'feel politicized under Obama'

'They're the people who are actually out there killing and capturing terrorists'

The Obama administration endangered the elite Navy SEALs that killed Osama bin Laden by publicly revealing their role in the mission, and the SEAL culture is under assault from a politically correct Pentagon, according to a new book on the SEALs and their role in the war against Islamic extremism.

In “Eyes on Target: Inside Stories from the Brotherhood of the U.S. Navy SEALs,” authors Richard Miniter and Scott McEwen draw on their close relationships with many retired SEALs to understand the culture of this unit and document their heroism in Afghanistan and sacrifices made by two former SEALs in Benghazi.

Perhaps the best known unit is SEAL Team Six, the group that successfully targeted and killed Osama bin Laden in May 2011. But the fact we know they carried out the mission may also be the reason many of them are now dead. Instead of leaving the identity of the men a mystery to the world, Vice President Joe Biden publicly identified them just two days after the raid.

“Let me briefly acknowledge tonight’s distinguished honorees. Adm. Jim Stavridis is a – is the real deal; he can tell you more about and understands the incredible, the phenomenal, the just almost unbelievable capacity of his Navy SEALs and what they did last Sunday,” the book quotes Biden as saying.

Told through the eyes of current and former Navy SEALs, “Eyes on Target” is an inside account of some of the most harrowing missions in American history – including the mission to kill Osama bin Laden and the mission that wasn’t, the deadly attack on the U.S. diplomatic outpost in Benghazi.

In early August 2011, a rocket-propelled grenade shot down a Chinook CH-47 code-named Extortion 17. The book reports that 38 men were killed, including 15 members of SEAL Team Six. Miniter contends Biden’s comments let our enemies know who took out their leader and many of those mourning the deaths on that attack personally blame the vice president’s loose lips for the disaster.

“This helicopter shoot down, Extortion 17, is the largest loss of life among the Navy SEALs since World War II. The family members, wives, the widows and mothers and fathers of those SEALs think that it’s political. In the course of our interviews, we discovered a number of SEALs think so, too. They think that the shoot down of this helicopter was a revenge plot by al-Qaida, inspired by Vice President Biden’s comment,” Miniter said.

“The SEALs feel increasingly politicized under the Obama administration. One of the things that we demonstrate is SEALs who have been prosecuted for crimes they didn’t commit, found innocent, but sort of forced into retirement. We’ve seen a record number of retirements from the Navy SEALs. This is something the media is ignoring, but it’s an important story because the SEALs, like our other special forces, are the tip of the spear. They’re the people who are actually out there killing and capturing terrorists,” he said.

“Without them, we lose the war on terror. Without them, al-Qaida carries out attacks at America’s public schools, its offices and its shopping malls. Politicizing the SEALs is a dangerous game and, unfortunately, it’s one of the games President Obama is playing.”

According to Miniter, the political games extend to the entire military.

He said the social experimentation mandated by this administration is dictated by a political agenda that hurts all of the U.S. Armed Forces, but especially our elite units.

“The Obama administration’s political appointees at the Department of Defense really want to make the SEALs and other special forces more like a college campus, with political correctness and speech codes. This is something that drives the SEALs nuts,” Miniter said.

“One of the reasons why the SEALs are so effective is that enlisted men can challenge their officers. In fact, SEALs have debates before missions, during missions and certainly after missions about what to do next. Those debates are open and honest because nothing is off the table. Any language can be used. Anybody can voice an opinion. It’s not simply a top-down operation. Because every man involved in a SEAL operation is thinking and contributing to the thinking of the operation, it’s much more likely to succeed and much more likely to adapt,” said Miniter, noting this sort of communication can be seen in the book and movie “Lone Survivor.”

“The political correctness is really poisoning the SEALs and the military,” he lamented. “The military should not be a social laboratory for politicians or activists to play out experiments. It’s a serious matter. You don’t want to distract the lifeguard, or people will die.”

Wild Thing's comment..........

Obama has been responsible for the deaths of many of the Navy SEALs. His hate for all our military and his agenda to weaken it makes me furious.

Russian State TV Says Russia Could Turn America Into “Radioactive Ash”

Russian State TV Says Russia Could Turn America Into “Radioactive Ash”

Moscow (AFP) – A leading anchor on Russian state television on Sunday described Russia as the only country capable of turning the United States into “radioactive ash”, in an incendiary comment at the height of tensions over the Crimea referendum.

“Russia is the only country in the world realistically capable of turning the United States into radioactive ash,” anchor Dmitry Kiselyov said on his weekly news show on state-controlled Rossiya 1 television.

Kiselyov made the comment to support his argument that the United States and President Barack Obama were living in fear of Russia led by President Vladimir Putin amid the Ukraine crisis.

His programme was broadcast as the first exit polls were being published showing an overwhelming majority of Crimeans voting to leave Ukraine and join Russia.

He stood in his studio in front of a gigantic image of a mushroom cloud produced after a nuclear attack, with the words “into radioactive ash”.

“Americans themselves consider Putin to be a stronger leader than Obama,” he added, pointing to opinion polls which then popped up on the screen.

“Why is Obama phoning Putin all the time and talking to him for hours on end?” he asked.

Wild Thing's comment...........

Obama is way too busy selling Obamacare to worry about Radioactive ash. And why would Putin do that? He might interfere with Obama’s destruction of America, which will be far more thorough and long-lasting.

Dictator Thug Obama tells Young People: Enroll in Obamacare or you’ll be charged a penalty

Obama Warns Young People: Buy Obamacare Or pay penalty

Obama warned young people that if they don’t sign up for Obamacare by March 31, they will face a penalty — if they can afford it.

During an interview with radio host Ryan Seacrest, Obama explained that young people might be charged a fine if they don’t get insured.

“If you can afford it — you just decide you don’t want to get it because your attitude is ‘nothing’s ever going to happen to me’ — then you’ll be charged a penalty,” Obama explained.

Obama was careful to specify that people who can’t afford Obamacare will not suffer a penalty, thanks to a “hardship exemption,” but encouraged everyone to sign up.

New Jersey Gun Control Push Drove Up Gun Sales, NRA Memberships

New Jersey Gun Control Push Drove Up Gun Sales, NRA Memberships

As News Jersey lawmakers pushed more gun control in 2013, background checks for gun purchases surged 40 percent, and memberships in the NRA and other gun rights groups grew as well.

Association of New Jersey Rifle & Pistol Clubs Executive Director Scott L. Bach said the spikes in background checks for gun purchasers were "a direct result misguided legislative attacks on legal gun owners instead of criminals and madmen."

According to NJ.com, Bach said the push for gun control drove the increased membership in gun rights groups as well.

In 2008--the year Obama was elected--there were approximately 40,000 background checks performed on firearm purchasers in New Jersey. In 2012, that number jumped to 85,851; in 2013 it skyrocketed to 120,071.

New Jersey officials are currently considering even more gun control as they weigh lowering legal magazine capacity from 15-rounds to 10-rounds in the Garden State.

Bach said this latest push for gun control will only drive gun purchases and memberships in gun rights groups even higher.

Afghanistan’s President Hamid Karzai says "We Don’t Need American Troops"

Karzai says We Don’t Need American Troops…

FOX News

In his final address to Afghanistan’s parliament Saturday, President Hamid Karzai told the United States its soldiers can leave at the end of the year because his military, which already protects 93 percent of the country, was ready to take over entirely.

He reiterated his stance that he would not sign a pact with the United States that would provide for a residual force of U.S. troops to remain behind after the final withdrawal, unless peace could first be established.

The Afghan president has come under heavy pressure to sign the Bilateral Security Agreement, with a council of notables that he himself convened recommend that he sign the pact. The force would train and mentor Afghan troops, and some U.S. Special Forces would also be left behind to hunt down Al Qaeda.

All 10 candidates seeking the presidency in April 5 elections have said they would sign the security agreement. But Karzai himself does not appear to want his legacy to include a commitment to a longer foreign troop presence in his country.

Karzai was brought to power in the wake of the 2001 U.S.-led invasion and subsequently won two presidential elections —- in 2004 and again in 2009. But he has in recent years espoused a combatative nationalism, with his hour-long speech Saturday no exception.

Democrats: Obama Becoming 'Poisonous' to Midterm Candidates

Democrats: Obama Becoming 'Poisonous' to Midterm Candidates

A Democratic lawmaker told the New York Times that President Barack Obama is becoming "poisonous" to Democratic candidates who are facing an uphill battle in the Nov. 4 midterm elections.

Driving Democratic fears are Obama's low approval ratings and the unpopularity of Obamacare. The latest Gallup poll finds that Obama's approval rating now stands at just 39%. The same poll shows that 55% of Americans now disapprove of the job Obama is doing as president. And according to the RealClearPolitics average of polls, just 38% of Americans support Obamacare.

"The state of Democrats is very much tied to the state of the president, and in that regard, these are far from the best of times," Democratic pollster Geoff Garin told the NYT.

Democrat fears have intensified on the heels of David Jolly's special election victory over Democrat Alex Sink last week. Many political analysts say the GOP win portends strong political headwinds for Democrats. Jolly's focus on the Obamacare disaster proved a winning strategy that Republicans are sure to repeat.

"The rollout left a bad taste in people's mouth from Day 1, and it's hard to create a new flavor now," said Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN).

Several Democrats have already begun running ads bashing Obamacare and distancing themselves from Obama. Still, Democrats appear divided on how to handle the Obamacare debacle heading into the midterm elections. Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said as recently as last Thursday that Democrats should embrace and be proud of the president's unpopular health care overhaul.

"I'm very proud of our House Democrats and how they have not only embraced the Affordable Care Act, because they helped create it, but how proud they are of it," said Pelosi. "I think the Republicans are wasting their time using that as their electoral issue, and they will find that out."

Wild Thing's comment...........

You are who you associate with and for any dem in power it is way too late. They should have stood up to Obama on Obamacare and spoken out they do not want socialist medicine. but they did want it and they love socialism.

‘Patriots Rally for Freedom’ to Kick Off in Central Texas Saturday

A large group of liberty-loving Texans will gather this Saturday outside San Marcos, Texas, on Saturday, March 15 to participate in a “Patriots Rally for Freedom” event that will feature a slate of well-known Texas conservatives. The event will feature liberty performers like Krista Branch, Clifton Jansky and Project Hayseed, along with around thirty speakers on a variety of topics related to conservative values.

According to a press release from event organizers, the “Patriots Rally for Freedom” event is co-founded by two ladies named Linda Buckmaster and Kate Beecham. They call for Americans to “Leave their ‘party hats’ and labels at the gate and unite for America.”

“As Goes Texas-So Goes America,” Linda explained. “The facts are these: 50% of America is on government assistance because of a crumbling economy and overwhelming debt. Our military is being gutted for partisan politics. Texas currently has 38 Electoral Votes for the Presidential election. With the state’s three largest cities now being run by Democrats, Texas is now at a tipping point politically. We are hosting this event to rally the conservative base, unite the RIGHT in order to win as many House and U.S. Senate seats as we can, and retain the conservative governorship of Texas. “
Gary Campbell, another event organizer said in a message to Breitbart Texas, “We bring 30 Speakers in Groups of Expertise to create a "Big Picture" for those confused by "Crisis Deflection" rather than Leadership. We are seeking to reinforce the already common sense decision a majority already feel. The Sleeping Giant is Awake; we seek to Unite and Direct a Red Tide across America.”

The list of confirmed speakers includes; Women on the Wall’s Alice Linahan, former U.S. Senate candidate Dwayne Stoval, former Congressional candidate Katrina Pierson, Dr. Kris Held, Wayne Dupree from NewsNinja.com, TEA Party Community co-founder Ken Crow, Remembrance Project co-founder Maria Espinoza, political news contributor Candice Lanier, Selling U.S. Out author J.R. According to the event’s website, other invited speakers include, Senator Ted Cruz, Governor Rick Perry, Governor Scott Walker, Governor Susana Martinez, Former Governor Sarah Palin, and Republican gubernatorial nominee Greg Abbott.

“Entertainment will be a key highlight of the event,” Linda said. “American Idol contestant and recording artist Krista Branch is performing and holding a concert along with a great patriotic band named “Project Hayseed” will also be entertaining throughout the day. The event is free to the public and gates will open at 9:00 am. There is a $10 parking fee, barbecue and snacks will be available for purchase, and we encourage everyone to bring their lawn chairs and sunscreen.”

Alarming!!! Obama to Allow U.S. to relinquish remaining control over the Internet....But to what global internet community??

U.S. to relinquish remaining control over the Internet

Washington Post

U.S. officials announced plans Friday to relinquish federal government control over the administration of the Internet, a move that pleased international critics but alarmed some business leaders and others who rely on the smooth functioning of the Web.

Pressure to let go of the final vestiges of U.S. authority over the system of Web addresses and domain names that organize the Internet has been building for more than a decade and was supercharged by the backlash last year to revelations about National Security Agency surveillance.

The change would end the long-running contract between the Commerce Department and the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), a California-based nonprofit group. That contract is set to expire next year but could be extended if the transition plan is not complete.

“We look forward to ICANN convening stakeholders across the global Internet community to craft an appropriate transition plan,” Lawrence E. Strickling, assistant secretary of commerce for communications and information, said in a statement.

The announcement received a passionate response, with some groups quickly embracing the change and others blasting it.

In a statement, Senate Commerce Committee Chairman John D. Rockefeller IV (D-W.Va.) called the move “consistent with other efforts the U.S. and our allies are making to promote a free and open Internet, and to preserve and advance the current multi-stakeholder model of global Internet governance.”

But former House speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) tweeted: “What is the global internet community that Obama wants to turn the internet over to? This risks foreign dictatorships defining the internet.”

The practical consequences of the decision were harder to immediately discern, especially with the details of the transition not yet clear. Politically, the move could alleviate rising global concerns that the United States essentially controls the Web and takes advantage of its oversight position to help spy on the rest of the world.

U.S. officials set several conditions and an indeterminate timeline for the transition from federal government authority, saying a new oversight system must be developed and win the trust of crucial stakeholders around the world. An international meeting to discuss the future of Internet is scheduled to start on March 23 in Singapore.

The move’s critics called the decision hasty and politically tinged, and voiced significant doubts about the fitness of ICANN to operate without U.S. oversight and beyond the bounds of U.S. law.

“This is a purely political bone that the U.S. is throwing,” said Garth Bruen, a security fellow at the Digital Citizens Alliance, a Washington-based advocacy group that combats online crime. “ICANN has made a lot of mistakes, and ICANN has not really been a good steward.”

Business groups and some others have long complained that ICANN’s decision-making was dominated by the interests of the industry that sells domain names and whose fees provide the vast majority of ICANN’s revenue. The U.S. government contract was a modest check against such abuses, critics said.

“It’s inconceivable that ICANN can be accountable to the whole world. That’s the equivalent of being accountable to no one,” said Steve DelBianco, executive director of NetChoice, a trade group representing major Internet commerce businesses.

U.S. officials said their decision had nothing to do with the NSA spying revelations and the worldwide controversy they sparked, saying there had been plans since ICANN’s creation in 1998 to eventually migrate it to international control.

“The timing is now right to start this transition both because ICANN as an organization has matured, and international support continues to grow for the multistakeholder model of Internet governance,” Strickling said in a statement.

Although ICANN is based in Southern California, governments worldwide have a say in the group’s decisions through an oversight body. ICANN in 2009 made an “Affirmation of Commitments” to the Commerce Department that covers several key issues.

Fadi Chehade, president of ICANN, disputed many of the complaints about the transition plan and promised an open, inclusive process to find a new international oversight structure for the group.

“Nothing will be done in any way to jeopardize the security and stability of the Internet,” he said.

The United States has long maintained authority over elements of the Internet, which grew from a Defense Department program that started in the 1960s. The relationship between the United States and ICANN has drawn wider international criticism in recent years, in part because big American companies such as Google, Facebook and Microsoft play such a central role in the Internet’s worldwide functioning. The NSA revelations exacerbated those concerns.

“This is a step in the right direction to resolve important international disputes about how the Internet is governed,” said Gene Kimmelman, president of Public Knowledge, a group that promotes open access to the Internet.

Verizon, one of the world’s biggest Internet providers, issued a statement saying, “A successful transition in the stewardship of these important functions to the global multi-stakeholder community would be a timely and positive step in the evolution of Internet governance.”

ICANN’s most important function is to oversee the assigning of Internet domains — such as dot-com, dot-edu and dot-gov — and ensure that the various companies and universities involved in directing digital traffic do so safely.

Concern about ICANN’s stewardship has spiked in recent years amid a massive and controversial expansion that is adding hundreds of new domains, such as dot-book, dot-gay and dot-sucks, to the Internet’s infrastructure. More than 1,000 new domains are slated to be made available, pumping far more fee revenue into ICANN.

Major corporations have complained, however, that con artists already swarm the Internet with phony Web sites designed to look like the authentic offerings of respected brands.

“To set ICANN so-called free is a very major step that should done with careful oversight,” said Dan Jaffe, executive vice president of the Association of National Advertisers. “We would be very concerned about that step.”

Obama Admits Obamacare Might Mean Losing Your Doctor

Obama Admits Obamacare Might Mean Losing Your Doctor

While sitting in front of a portrait of George Washington Thursday, Obama admitted that the average person might have to lose their doctor under his signature healthcare law

Obama’s statement is a 180 degree turn from the “If you like your doctor then you can keep your doctor” mantra that he so often repeated during his promotion of Obamacare before the law took effect on October 1.

Obama asserted that those who don’t have “healthcare initially are going to have to make some choices and they might have to switch doctors.” Obama contended that they will be losing their doctors but might end up saving some money. The president said that there is “good news” as well “because in most states people will have more than one option.”

Unfortunately, Obama admitted that while Americans will have a choice, they may find that their “doctor or network or hospital that is conveniently located” are only covered in another, more expensive plan. In that case, the president says Americans have to make a decision as to “what’s right for your family”.

Panel Recommends U.S. Military Allow Transsexual Troops, Says Obama Could Lift Ban Without Congressional Approval

Panel Recommends U.S. Military Allow Transsexual Troops, Says Obama Could Lift Ban Without Congressional Approval

An independent commission led by a former U.S. surgeon general has concluded there “is no compelling medical reason” for the U.S. armed forces to prohibit transgender Americans from serving and that President Barack Obama could lift the decades-old ban without approval from Congress, according to a report being released Thursday.

The report said Department of Defense regulations designed to keep transgender people from joining or remaining in the military on the grounds of psychological and physical unfitness are based on outdated beliefs that require thousands of current service members either to leave the service or to forego the medical procedures and other changes that could align their bodies and gender identities.

“We determined not only that there is no compelling medical reason for the ban, but also that the ban itself is an expensive, damaging and unfair barrier to health care access for the approximately 15,450 transgender personnel who serve currently in the active, Guard and reserve components,” said the commission led by Dr. Joycelyn Elders, who served as surgeon general during Bill Clinton’s first term as president, and Rear Adm. Alan Steinman, a former chief health and safety director for the Coast Guard.

The panel, convened by a think tank at San Francisco State University, said the ban has existed for several decades and apparently was derived in part from the psychiatric establishment’s consensus, since revised, that gender identity issues amounted to a mental disorder.

The ban also appears based on the assumption that providing hormone treatment and sex reassignment surgeries would be too difficult, disruptive and expensive. But the commission rejected those notions as inconsistent with modern medical practice and the scope of health care services routinely provided to non-transgender military personnel.

BOSSY Pelosi Says House Dems On A Kamikaze Mission, “Absolutely” Won’t Run From Obamacare In Midterms

Pelosi Says House Dems On A Kamikaze Mission, “Absolutely” Won’t Run From Obamacare In Midterms

Nancy Pelosi said her Democratic colleagues should not shy from the Affordable Care Act in their 2014 midterm campaigns, arguing that Republicans “are wasting their time using that as their electoral issue.”

The House minority leader’s comments came in the aftermath of a two-point special election victory for Republicans in Florida’s 13th Congressional District. Some observers believe the win forecasts difficulties ahead for Democrats, as their opponents are sure to use the unpopular health care law and the president’s poor approval rating as campaign issues.

But Pelosi insisted Thursday that that strategy would be in vain. “It’s time for Republicans to end their obsession with the Affordable Care Act,” she said. Asked whether Democrats should steer clear of the health law in congressional campaigns, she answered, “Absolutely not.”

“I’m very proud of our House Democrats and how they have not only embraced the Affordable Care Act, because they helped create it, but how proud they are of it,” she told reporters at her weekly briefing. “I think the Republicans are wasting their time using that as their electoral issue, and they will find that out.”

BOSSY Obama pleading with donors for help to push his agenda

Obama pleading with donors for help to push his agenda

Once carried like a conquering hero, President Obama is now pleading with donors for help to push his agenda, having to convince them that his record is something that should wow them.

"Do you still have my back?" Obama asks in a new letter to donors and contributors. "You should be proud of what we have been able to accomplish together," he argues. "Can I count on you?"

The president's note is to those who supported him in the past. "I would not be here today without you. You have been an essential partner in everything we have accomplished."

The fundraising letter for the Democratic National Committee even offers potential members a gift, a half-sized bumper sticker that reads, "I've STILL got his back."

Obama laid out his five-part second term agenda in the letter, and it includes gun control along with immigration reform, jobs, climate change and fighting voter identification laws that Democrats say block minorities from the polls. "Gun violence still plagues our schools and communities," he wrote.

The goal is to help the DNC, an effective weapon in the president's arsenal, to help him push his agenda. "I am depending on the DNC to provide a major part of the support I need to overcome Republican opposition in Congress. The DNC is helping to turn up the pressure and make sure we have leaders that act in the best interest for our nation," added the president.

At the end, he echoes his plea for help: "Do you still have my back? I hope I can continue to count on you."

Maybe it is the photos of him posing shirtless on horseback, or his military push into Ukraine, but Americans in a new poll believe RussianPresident Vladimir Putin is a much stronger leader than President Obama.

A YouGov/Economist survey of 1,000 adults interviewed March 8-10 found that 78 percent view Putin as somewhat to very strong leader. Just 45 percent see Obama the same way. Worse, more Americans, 55 percent, view Obama as a weak leader.

The poll comes as the president is struggling with a response to Putin’s push into Ukraine and expectations that Crimea will break off and join Russia.

Obama Suggests Man making $36,000 a Year could Drop Cable, Cell Phones to Pay for ObamaCare

In an interview, Obama is read a letter from a man who makes $36,000 a year and says the cost of ObamaCare would be over $300 a month for him – which he said is too expensive.

On March 6, 2014, President Obama conducted a town hall meeting with Spanish-language media regarding the Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known as Obamacare. He was asked about the concerns of many Latinos that the law is simply too expensive. He suggested that some families may be spending too much on cable television or cell phones, and not enough on health insurance.

Obama’s response? “Just get rid of your cable and phone bills” to pay for it. Here’s exactly what he said:

“If you looked at that person’s budget, and you looked at their cable bill, their telephone, their cell phone bill. . . . it may turn out that, it’s just they haven’t prioritized health care.”

Dictator Obama Threatens To Veto Bill Requiring Him To Enforce The Law

Obama Threatens To Veto Bill Requiring Him To Enforce The Law

Barack Obama would veto a GOP-drafted bill that would allow legislators to take agency officials to court if they don’t enforce laws, according to a White House statement.

The GOP is pushing the bill through the House because Obama has repeatedly declined to enforce laws he doesn’t like, say GOP legislators.

“President Obama has refused to enforce those parts of our nation’s immigration laws that are not to his political liking, has waived portions of our welfare laws, has stretched our environmental laws to accommodate his policy objectives, and has waived testing accountability provisions required under the ‘No Child Left Behind’ education law,” according to Rep. Bob Goodlatte, the chairman of the House judiciary committee.

For example, in June 2012, Obama created a temporary mini-amnesty for at least 500,000 younger illegal immigrants. The act boosted his election-day support among Hispanics, but made it more difficult for young Americans to find jobs.

“Political appointees at the Justice Department have announced that rather than work with Congress to amend the federal criminal code, they will simply stop prosecuting low-level drug offenders under mandatory minimum sentencing laws,” said Goodlatte in a Fox News op-ed.

“And now that his signature health care law has not been working and revealed his empty promises, President Obama has changed that law unilaterally over 20 times,” Goodlatte added.

He really is a thug!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He has committed high crimes and misdemeanors. He refuses to live under the same laws he and his administration and Congress put in place.

Republican David Jolly Defeats Alex Sink In Florida Special Election

Republican David Jolly has won the congressional race to replace the late Republican Rep. Bill Young. With all precincts reporting, Jolly claimed 48.4% of the vote. Alex Sink got 46.5%, and Libertarian candidate Lucas Overby took 4.8%.

The race was widely watched, and seen as an early test of how President Barack Obama's health care overhaul will play in November's midterm elections. It attracted national attention and millions of dollars. Local issues took a backseat to the health care law as both national parties and outside groups flooded the swing-voting district with ads, phone calls and mailings about "Obamacare."

Thank God he won, it feels good to see a Republican win.

U.S. Firearm production sets record in 2012: AR-15 production up over 100%

U.S. Firearm production sets record in 2012: AR-15 production up over 100%

The number of firearms manufactured in the U.S. for sale to American customers hit an all-time high in 2012, according to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ (BATFE) new Firearms Manufacturers and Export Report. American firearm manufacturers produced roughly 8.3 million firearms for sale in the U.S., a new record, up 33 percent from the 6.2 million produced for American customers in 2011.

The report shows not only that Americans valued firearms in 2012 more than ever before, but also that they particularly valued the kinds of firearms that gun control supporters have tried the hardest to get banned–handguns and semi-automatic rifles.

Production of handguns rose 32 percent to four million in 2012, as compared to 2011, including a 36 percent increase in pistols and an 18 percent increase in revolvers. Production of the AR-15, the most popular rifle in America, more than doubled in 2012, to over 825,000, not counting the large numbers made by Remington, Bushmaster and Sturm, Ruger. Total rifle production rose 38 percent, to three million, while shotguns rose 18 percent to 900,000.

We’ve been hearing for some time from those who want to ban guns that Americans aren’t interested in them anymore; that firearm ownership is on the decline. Like their fanciful notions that gun crime is somehow “exploding” or that concealed carry licensees are ticking time bombs, the numbers simply don’t back up their claims.

The anti-gunners are going to need all the “new math” they can muster, because the 2012 report contains figures for only two months of the surge in firearm purchases that began with President Obama’s reelection. Meanwhile, the FBI’s NICS figures indicate that Americans bought even more firearms in 2013 than they did in 2012.

For those who support the Second Amendment and American manufacturing, these figures provide cause for celebration. For those still seeking to ban private possession of firearms, they may want to skip the champagne and head straight for the aspirin.

Wild Thing's comment............

I do hope all the politicians nationwide are paying close attention to these numbers. Gun grabbing could be a career ending move.

DHS Tells American Border Guards To Run Away From Illegal Immigrants

FOX News

Top administration officials have directed 21,000 border patrol officers to retreat whenever illegal immigrants throw rocks at them, and to avoid getting in front of foreign drug-smugglers’ vehicles as they head north with their drug shipments.

Agents shall not discharge firearms in response to thrown or hurled projectiles… agents should obtain a tactical advantage in these situations, such as seeking cover or distancing themselves,” said the instructions, issued Mar. 7, under the signature of Michael Fisher, chief of U.S. Border Patrol.

Agents were also directed to keep their weapons holstered when drug smugglers drive by.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell: We Will ‘Crush’ Tea Party Challengers ‘Everywhere’

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) believes that incumbent Republicans won’t have a problem holding their seats in the 2014 elections.

“I think we are going to crush them everywhere,” McConnell said about Tea Party challengers in a New York Times interview published Saturday. “I don’t think they are going to have a single nominee anywhere in the country.”

McConnell faces a primary challenge from the right. The Senate Conservatives Fund, which backs Tea Party challenger Matt Bevin, believes the candidate has a chance of defeating McConnell the the primary.

“Mitch McConnell is clearly in trouble in this primary or he wouldn’t be attacking Matt Bevin and declaring war on conservatives,” Matt Hoskins, the head of the SCF, told the New York Times.

Connecticut Police Refusing To Enforce New Anti-Gun Law

Connecticut Police Refusing To Enforce New Anti-Gun Law

A showdown is developing between a sizable number of Connecticut state police officers and the politicians who passed into law highly restrictive gun control, gun bans, and bans on high capacity magazines.

Gun rights legal expert and activist David Hardy reported Friday that 250 law enforcement officers in Connecticut have signed an open letter stating that they will not enforce the new anti-gun and magazine laws, which they consider to be a violation of the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

A major news story on these developments is due to be published soon, but Hardy received an advanced notice via email from Tyler Jackson, the head of the Connecticut Peace Officers Association, the organization that sent the open letter.

According to Hardy,

Tyler Jackson has emailed me an interesting story, soon to appear online (I'll link to it once it does)-- the gist is that the head of the Connecticut Peace Officers' Assn has released an open letter stating that the police will not "be party to the oppression of the people of the state by enforcing an unconstitutional law." So far 250 LEOs have cosigned the letter.

Gunowners in the state have already ignored the mandate to comply with the new laws, refusing to register with the state government their possession of so-called "assault weapons" and forbidden magazines.

It is estimated that over 300,000 gunowners have practiced civil disobedience in refusing to register and give up the newly forbidden items. Only roughly 50,000 citizens in the state have complied.

But now these courageous citizens have key support in high places. With at least 250 law enforcement officers joining them in disobeying an unconstitutional law, the gunowners have a new weapon in their arsenal -- the support of hundreds of police officers.

Hardy reported that with the lack of support of police, Connecticut faces massive civilian resistance, with police officers refusing to enforce a law that to most citizens crosses a line that is unacceptable in a free society.

If such a thing can happen in a deeply blue state in New England, what would law enforcement encounter if they attempted such an ill-fated attack on Constitutionally-protected rights in Texas, Wyoming, South Carolina, Utah, or Kentucky?

This is something that the political powers that be in government and law enforcement -- and in the Courts -- should think long and hard about before acting in such a knee-jerk fashion as Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, and Massachusetts have done.

Wild Thing's comment.........

Those pushing gun control prove they should never again be elected to office, any office.

Malaysian authorities investigate four 'suspect' passengers as search for missing jet resumes

Malaysian authorities investigate four 'suspect' passengers as search for missing jet resumes

Video at link........to watch click here

FOX News

Malaysian authorities said Sunday that the identities of four passengers on a Malaysia Airlines flight that disappeared with 239 people on board are being investigated as "suspect" as the search for the missing plane resumed in the South China Sea.

Speaking at a news conference in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Transport Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said that "the four names are with me," but added that the investigation was focusing on "the entire passenger manifest." Hussian also said that investigators from the FBI had joined the investigation.

Meanwhile, U.S. officials said late Saturday that a team of safety experts has been dispatched to Southeast Asia to assist in the investigation of what happened to the Boeing 777 that disappeared shortly after takeoff on Saturday morning local time.

Officials from the National Transportation Safety Board told Fox News that the team, which includes investigators from the agency and technical experts from the Federal Aviation Administration and Boeing, had been sent to the region despite the fact that the plane had not been located due to the lengthy travel time from the U.S. and the team's desire to be in a position to assist local authorities right away.

Hussein's statement about the four suspect passengers came hours after officials in Italy and Austria revealed that two people aboard the plane were traveling with passports reported stolen in Thailand.

Italy’s Foreign Ministry said that an Italian man, Luigi Maraldi, who was listed on the manifest as a passenger, reported his passport stolen last August.

The Austrian Foreign Ministry also confirmed that a man listed on the official manifest matched an Austrian passport reported stolen two years ago in Thailand, and that the Austrian was not on the plane. The foreign ministry did not release the man's name, but he has since been identified by Sky News as Christan Kozel

A U.S. official told Fox News that a key priority is clarifying the status of the passports, whether they were lost or stolen, and determining through airport security screening and video who exactly got on the flight under those names.

Meanwhile, a former intelligence official told Fox News that the information about stolen passports from two adjacent European countries, combined with recent warnings for flights to the United States about the risk of possible shoe bomb attacks, is concerning.

The plane was carrying 227 passengers, including two infants and 12 crew members when it “lost all contact,” with Subang Air Traffic Control at 2:40 a.m., two hours into the flight, the airline said. The plane was expected to land in Beijing at 6:30 a.m. Saturday.

The airline said there were 152 passengers from China, 38 from Malaysia, seven from Indonesia, six from Australia, five from India and three from the U.S. and others from Indonesia, France, New Zealand, Canada, Ukraine, Russia, Taiwan and the Netherlands.

The U.S. State Department later confirmed in a statement that three Americans were aboard the jetliner.

In the United States, a friend confirmed to the Associated Press that an IBM executive from North Texas named Philip Wood had been aboard the jet.

Freescale Semiconductor, a company based in Texas, confirmed Saturday that 20 of its employees -- 12 from Malaysia and eight from China -- were passengers.

"At present, we are solely focused on our employees and their families," said Gregg Lowe, president and CEO of the company said in a statement. "Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by this tragic event."

Vietnamese air force planes spotted two large oil slicks late Saturday in the first sign that the aircraft had crashed. The slicks were each between 6 miles and 9 miles long, the Vietnamese government said in a statement.

There was no confirmation that the slicks were related to the missing plane, but the statement said they were consistent with the kinds that would be produced by the two fuel tanks of a crashed jetliner.

Malaysia Airlines CEO Ahmad Jauhari said there was no indication that the pilots had sent a distress signal, suggesting that whatever happened to the plane occurred quickly and possibly catastrophically.

The lack of a radio call "suggests something very sudden and very violent happened," said William Waldock, who teaches accident investigation at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Ariz.

The air force planes were part of a multinational search operation launched after Flight MH370 fell off radar screens less than an hour after it took off from Kuala Lumpur.

Malaysia had dispatched 15 planes and nine ships to the area. The U.S. Navy sent a warship, the USS Pickney, which was conducting training and maritime security operations off the South China Sea.

The guided-missile destroyer is carrying two MH-60R helicopters that can be equipped for search and rescue efforts. The U.S. is also sending a surveillance plane, while Singapore said it would send a submarine and a plane. China and Vietnam were also sending aircraft to help in the search.

It is not uncommon for it to take several days to find the wreckage of an aircraft floating on the ocean. Locating and then recovering the flight data recorders, vital to any investigation, can take months or even years.

The airline said in a statement that it is currently notifying next-of-kin about the situation. "Our thoughts and prayers are with all affected passengers and crew and their family members," Yahya said.

Asked whether terrorism was suspected, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said, "We are looking at all possibilities, but it is too early to make any conclusive remarks."

"We are extremely worried,'' Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told reporters in Beijing. "We are doing all we can to get details. The news is very disturbing. We hope everyone on the plane is safe."

Vietnamese website VN Express said a Vietnamese search and rescue official reported that signals from the plane were detected about 140 miles southwest of Vietnam's southernmost Ca Mau province. A Vietnam rescue official later denied the report.

"We have been seeking but no signal from the plane yet," Pham Hien, director of a Vietnam maritime search and rescue coordination center in Vung Tau, told Reuters.

China's state-run news agency Xinhua reported the plane was lost in airspace controlled by Vietnam, and never made contact with Chinese air traffic controllers. There have been no reports of a plane crashing into Chinese waters, and China is assisting the airline in its search for the plane.

Malaysian Transport Minister Hishammuddin Hussein also denied a Vietnamese state media report that the plane had crashed off south Vietnam, saying the government had not identified a crash scene.

The plane "lost all contact and radar signal one minute before it entered Vietnam's air traffic control," Lt. Gen. Vo Van Tuan, deputy chief of staff of the Vietnamese army, said in a statement issued by the government.

The airline says the plane's pilot is Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah, a 53-year-old who has been with the airline for over 30 years. The plane's first officer is Fariq Ab.Hamid, a 27-year-old who joined the airline in 2007. Both are Malaysians.

At Beijing's airport, authorities posted a notice asking relatives and friends of passengers to gather at a hotel about nine miles from the airport to wait for further information, and provided a shuttle bus service. A woman wept aboard the shuttle bus while saying on a mobile phone, "They want us to go to the hotel. It cannot be good!"

Zhai Le was waiting for her friends, a couple, who were on their way back to the Chinese capital on the flight. She said she was very concerned because she hadn't been able to reach them.

Relatives and friends of passengers were escorted into a private area at the Lido Hotel, and reporters were kept away. A man in a gray hooded sweatshirt later stormed out complaining about a lack of information. The man, who said he was a Beijing resident but declined to give his name, said he was anxious because his mother was on board the flight with a group of 10 tourists.

"We have been waiting for hours," he said. "And there is still no verification."

In Kuala Lumpur, family members gathered at the airport, but were kept away from reporters.

"Our team is currently calling the next of kin passengers and crew. Focus of the airline is to work with the emergency responders and authorities and mobilize its full support," Jauhair, said.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with all affected passengers and crew and their family members," he said.

Fuad Sharuji, Malaysia Airlines' vice president of operations control told CNN that the plane was flying at an altitude of 35,000 feet when it disappeared and that the pilots had reported no problem with the aircraft.

Malaysia Airlines has 15 Boeing 777-200 jets in its fleet of about 100 planes. The state-owned carrier last month reported its fourth straight quarterly loss.

The 777 had not had a fatal crash in its 20 year history until the Asiana crash in San Francisco in July 2013.

Wild Thing's comment...........

I am so curious about this. what the heck happened. And how awful for those on the plane and the loved ones of those waiting to hear what has happened.

Obama Nominee For Surgeon General Says Banning Guns Is Part of Medicine

Obama Nominee For Surgeon General Says Banning Guns Is Part of Medicine

After being burned by his nomination of Debo Adegbile to head up the civil rights division at the Department of Justice, President Obama has jumped right back into the fray with another radical nominee, this time for Surgeon General.

But what makes Vivek Hallegere Murthy such a controversial choice for the post is not what you might expect. It’s not that he is a champion of late-term abortions (though he probably is) or believes in fully government-subsidized sex reassignment surgeries (though he probably does).

The problem with Murthy, rather, is his position on guns. Namely, he thinks one of the questions doctors should ask patients during a routine medical history is whether the person has any guns in his home.

Investors.com notes that Murthy, 36, is president and co-founder of Doctors for America, an anti-gun group that advocates making gun control a facet of the practice of medicine.

Rev. Jeremiah Wright's daughter found guilty of money laundering

Rev. Jeremiah Wright's daughter found guilty of money laundering

Chicago Tribune

SPRINGFIELD—The daughter of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, President Barack Obama’s former minister, was convicted by a federal jury Friday of laundering thousands of dollars from a $1.25 million state grant for a Chicago-based job-training program.

Jeri Wright said she would "definitely" appeal the verdict in U.S. District Court, which found her guilty of 11 counts that included money laundering, lying to federal agents and lying to a grand jury.

"I didn't do anything," Wright, 48, of Hazel Crest, said as she left the Springfield courtroom. Her father, whose preaching became a lightning rod during Obama's first presidential campaign, was not part of the case.

Her attorney described Wright as a victim of a web spun by longtime friend Regina Evans, the former Country Club Hills police chief who has pleaded guilty to corruption in the case. Evans had secured the state loan for the job-training program but allegedly diverted the money rather than use it for the purpose she proposed.

Prosecutor Timothy Bass contended Wright took as much as $11,000 in cash from more than $30,000 in checks in a scheme where she also sent money back to Evans. Bass maintained Wright lied “over and over” when quizzed about the case.

Bass maintained in closing arguments that Wright was “given an opportunity” and took it in a state that has a “well-earned” reputation for corruption.

Evans applied for the grant in February 2009 for a group called We Are Our Brother's Keepers. The proposal called for 40 people to get training in bricklaying and electrician skills, but the money allegedly was diverted.

Within months, Evans began tapping the funds for what Bass had called a "spending spree," including a trip to Las Vegas, a basement remodeling and the purchase of vehicles for a security business with her husband.

Rep. Mike Kelly: 'They're Coming for Your Guns'

NATIONAL HARBOR, Maryland—On March 6th, Breitbart News had the opportunity to talk to Rep. Mike Kelly (R-PA) about the way gun control was defeated in 2013 and what needs to happen in order to win the battle against gun control again in 2014.

Our first question regarded 2013: "When you look at last year, how do you think we were able to defeat gun control? What to you ultimately believe was the key?"

Kelly responded:

We got on it early, and we got on it often, and we went with the NRA, and we got the public to understand what was going on. That was crucial, because if you were to talk to the people that want to take our guns away they always say, 'No, no, no, you misunderstand what we're trying to do. We just want to protect people.' And we said, 'No, we know exactly what you want to do. You want to take our guns from us. You want to take away the ability that we have to protect ourselves.'

And what we have to understand in 2014 is that the gun control proponents are never going away. This is a world movement that would reduce us down to a level where we lose sovereignty of our own gun policy, of our trade policy when it comes to arms.

Breitbart News also asked: "So what should gun owners and freedom-loving Americans do?"

Kelly said in response:

You've got to keep talking to people. You have to constantly be ringing that bell, 'They're coming for your guns, they're coming for your guns.' Because as soon as we back off, we lose. And if we let them convince us that they really don't want to take our guns away, then we lose.

Wild Thing's comment..........

I think he is absolutely correct. Obama and the people telling him what to do will never give up.

Islamic Countries Qatar, Bahrain, UAE Ban Film “Noah” For Violating Sharia Law

Paramount’s upcoming Noah, which recently came under fire from religious groups, will not be released in three Middle East countries, Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. Egypt, Jordan and Kuwait will likely follow suit.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the issue is over the film showing a prophet, which goes against Islamic law.

“Because of the quality of the production and acting, viewers will enjoy watching main themes from the Noah story depicted in a powerful way on the big screen,” Johnson said in a statement. “However, my intent in reaching out to Paramount with this request was to make sure everyone who sees this impactful film knows this is an imaginative interpretation of Scripture, and not literal.”

From now on, all marketing material for Noah - including the next trailer, the film’s website and print and radio ads - will now include a statement that reads:

”The film is inspired by the story of Noah.

”While artistic license has been taken, we believe that this film is true to the essence, values, and integrity of a story that is a cornerstone of faith for millions of people worldwide.

The biblical story of Noah can be found in the book of Genesis.”

Based on the Biblical account of Noah's journey, NOAH also stars Russell Crowe,.Academy-Award winner Sir Anthony Hopkins (Methuselah) and Academy-Award winner Jennifer Connelly (Naameh and Emma Watson.

Film will open March 28th.

Obama Calls Himself The “Champion-In-Chief” On Amnesty For Illegals

Obama Calls Himself The “Champion-In-Chief” On Amnesty For Illegals

Barack Obama called himself the “champion-in-chief” of comprehensive immigration reform Thursday but said once again that there’s nothing he can do stem the flow of deportations.

Speaking at a health care town hall program sponsored by Telemundo, Univision and La Opinion-impreMedia, Obama passed the buck on deportations to Congress, which he said is responsible for funding government positions responsible for deportations.

“I am the champion-in-chief of comprehensive immigration reform,” Obama said. “What I’ve said in the past remains true: Until Congress passes a new law I am constrained in what I can do.”

Obama said the a 2012 order that allowed so-called Dreamers to remain in the country with a path to legalization was the most he could do on his own.

Obama Regime To Make It Harder For U.S. Border Patrol Agents To Use Force To Defend The Border

Obama Regime To Make It Harder For U.S. Border Patrol Agents To Use Force To Defend The Border

On a January night in the Arizona desert, a U.S. Border Patrol agent pursued and killed an illegal immigrant named Gabriel Sanchez.

The border agency said Mr. Sanchez tried to grab the agent’s gun, prompting him to shoot. The lawyer representing the victim’s family said the circumstances of the shooting remain uncertain. “The only thing we have to speak for the deceased is physical evidence,” said Phoenix attorney Daniel Ortega.

The agency, whose ranks have expanded rapidly since the 1990s, faces mounting questions about the use of lethal force. A critical report last year by the Homeland Security Office of Inspector General suggests an urgent need to improve training, strengthen supervision and transform the culture of the Border Patrol.

An official at the Department of Homeland Security said Tuesday that it had addressed some of these concerns, and that more changes may occur.

In congressional testimony last week, Jeh Johnson, the new Homeland Security secretary, said that U.S. Customs and Border Protection, which manages border agents, would announce new policies for the use of force “any day now.” Mr. Johnson said he was “interested in reviewing some of the more recent cases myself to ensure that we’re getting this right.”

Critics of the agency’s use of lethal force found new ammunition for their complaints when a highly critical report commissioned by the CBP on border shootings was leaked last week. The report by the Police Executive Research Forum, a Washington-based research group that helps law-enforcement agencies improve performance, said the agency has failed to diligently investigate shooting deaths, according to two government officials who said they had read the report. It also said that agents sometimes stood in front of moving vehicles to justify opening fire on the drivers, and that they confronted, rather than distanced themselves from, rock throwers.

The report recommended that agents refrain from shooting at rock throwers and moving vehicles, according to the two officials. One official said Mr. Johnson was likely to focus his attention on those recommendations in devising a new policy.

A CBP spokesman said the agency “agrees with the spirit and intent” of the report’s recommendations and already has begun to take steps to implement most of them.

Obama AGAIN rewriting his Obamacare Tax Deadline ( worried about elections)

Obama AGAIN rewriting his Obamacare Tax Deadline ( worried about elections)

The Obama administration announced Wednesday that it would allow insurers to keep until October 2016 health plans that do not meet Obamacare regulations, pushing back another Affordable Care Act deadline well past November’s midterms.

Facing the prospect of another wave of cancellation notices this fall, the administration took even further action to mitigate the blowback from President Obama’s broken promise that all Americans could keep their health care plans under Obamacare.

The Department of Health and Human Services had already given insurers the option of continuing those plans facing cancellation through 2014, and on Wednesday said those policies could remain in effect an additional two years.

For example, if an individual renewed their health plan on Oct. 1, 2016, their coverage would last into 2017.

“We’re extending this to give people an opportunity to make a judgment about what works best for them and their families,” a senior administration official said, briefing reporters on the major policy change.

Obama's Treasury Secretary Jack Lew Defends Bonuses For IRS Employees, Calls For Additional Funding

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew Defends Bonuses For IRS Employees, Calls For Additional Funding

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew not only defended the granting of bonuses to IRS employees Wednesday before the Senate Finance committee, he said there was not a proper level of funding for the agency to “do everything that we really need them to do.”

Under questioning from Sen. John Thune (R., S.D.) over the agency’s targeting of conservative groups and concern that employees involved were still granted bonuses, Lew said there were no signs of political interference in any of his department’s reviews.

“I think that the policy on compensation for the IRS broadly has to reflect the fact that we have an enormous number of people who are tireless, hardworking public servants who do a fine job under very difficult circumstances,” Lew said. “And we’re not seeing the level of funding for the IRS to make it possible for them to do everything that we really need them to do. In that world, making sure that we have proper compensation and fair compensation is an important thing.”

“I just think it’s awfully hard to justify to the American people an agency that has been so – whose credibility has been so badly damaged that somehow you can pay out bonuses,” Thune said.

Congratulations Greg Abbott on your primary win!

Greg Abbott is committed to preserving Texas as the land of liberty and freedom. He discusses issues like protecting the Second Amendment, securing Texas' robust economy and keeping government small.

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott won Tuesday's primary for the GOP gubernatorial nomination in the Lone Star State, the Associated Press reports.

Abbott, who has served under current Governor Rick Perry (R) since 2002, defeated a small field of Republican opponents, including radio host Lisa Fritsch.

The attorney general will face off against state Sen. Wendy Davis (D) in November's general election.

The 56-year-old Abbott has been attorney general since 2003 and is a former Texas Supreme Court justice.

Sen. Ted Cruz Opposes Debo Adegbile's Nomination to Head DOJ Civil Rights Division

Sen. Ted Cruz Opposes Debo Adegbile's Nomination to Head DOJ Civil Rights Division

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Tuesday took a strong stance against President Barack Obama’s nominee to head the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, calling the nomination “insulting to law enforcement officers everywhere.”

Cruz’s opposition to Debo Adegbile’s nomination stems from the man’s time with the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. During that time, Adegbile volunteered to advocate for Mumia Abu-Jamal, who was convicted of murdering Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner in 1981. As Townhall’s Katie Pavlich notes, attorneys with the NAACP Legal Defense Fund were able to get Abu-Jamal’s death sentence overturned.

“Mr. President, this is insulting to law enforcement officers everywhere. I stand with the Fraternal Order of Police in opposition to Debo Adegbile,” Cruz said from the Senate floor Tuesday.

After running through some of the details of the Abu-Jamal case, Cruz argued Adegbile took part in “extreme and radical advocacy” rather than legal representation.

“They even went so far as to travel to France to hold multiple rallies for Abu-Jamal,” he said. “This prompted the House of Representatives in 2006 to vote 368-31 to condemn the murder of Officer Daniel Faulkner.”

“After fanning those flames of racial tension in the court of public opinion, Adegbile pressed aggressive arguments on race in our courts of law. Thankfully, states and federal courts rejected those arguments,” Cruz added.

The Texas Republican noted several times that the Fraternal Order of Police also strongly oppose the Adegbile’s nomination. The FOP sent a blistering letter to President Obama back in January expressing their disgust.

“We all should agree that violent criminals should be punished and we all should agree that those who go out of their way to celebrate, to lionize, convicted cop killers are not suitable for major leadership roles at the Department of Justice,” Cruz said.

Obamacare Architect: ‘Be Prepared to Kiss Your Insurance Company Good-Bye Forever’

Obamacare Architect: ‘Be Prepared to Kiss Your Insurance Company Good-Bye Forever’

Ezekiel Emanuel, one of the architects behind Obamacare, is now claiming that “insurance companies as we know them are about to die.” Critics of President Barack Obama’s signature health care law have long alleged that one of the real goals of the law was to put private insurance companies out of business.

“The good news is you won’t have insurance companies to kick around much longer. The system is changing,” Emanuel writes in an op-ed on New Republic. “As a result, insurance companies as they are now will be going away. Indeed, they are already evolving. For the next few years insurance companies will both continue to provide services to employers and, increasingly, compete against each other in the health insurance exchanges.”

Due to Obamacare, “new actors will force insurance companies to evolve or become extinct,” he continues. Instead, new groups called “accountable care organizations” (ACOs) must start competing directly in the health care exchanges for exclusive contracts with employers.

The ACOs will have “standardized, guideline-driven care plans for most major conditions and procedures to increase efficiency,” says Emanuel, the brother of Obama’s former chief of staff and current Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

“They will have figured out how to harness their electronic medical records to better identify patients who will become sick and how to intervene early as well as how to care for the well-identified chronically ill so as to reduce costs,” he notes.

from the New Republic op-ed:

The key skill these ACOs and hospital systems lack—the skill insurance companies specialize in—is the actuarial capacity to predict and manage financial risk. But over the next decade this is something they will develop—or purchase. After all, actuarial science is not rocket science, even if it involves a lot of mathematical equations. And with that skill, ACOs and hospital systems will become integrated delivery systems like Kaiser or Group Health of Puget Sound. Then they will cut out the insurance company middle man—and keep the insurance company profits for themselves. Therefore, increasingly these ACOs and hospital systems will transform themselves into integrated delivery systems, entering insurance exchanges and negotiating with employers, in direct competition with insurance companies.

As the ACOs become more established, Emanuel claims contracts between the health systems and employers will become more common, thus “cutting out the insurance companies.”

Once the health systems “make the jump to offering coverage in the exchanges, the health insurance companies will only have a few options if they want to survive, according to Emanuel.

“First, they can refuse to change, in which case they will eventually go out of business,” he writes. “Second, they can shift their business to focus on offering services they have expertise in, particularly analytics, actuarial modeling, risk management, and other management services.”

Finally, the “third evolutionary path is that health insurance companies may transform themselves into integrated delivery systems.”

“So be prepared to kiss your insurance company good-bye forever,” Emanuel concludes.

Syrians To Ukrainians: Don’t Listen To Obama When He Says He’s Going To Help You

Syrians To Ukrainians: Don’t Listen To Obama When He Says He’s Going To Help You

KIEV, Ukraine — Some Syrians have a simple message for Ukrainians waiting for a response from the U.S. and the West as the crisis in Crimea unfolds: Don’t get your hopes up.

The Syrian uprising grinds into its third year this month, and many in the opposition see a long string of broken promises from an international community that voiced support for their fight to overthrow their Russia-backed president, Bashar al-Assad.

With Russia now sending its forces to the Ukrainian region of Crimea, and with worries that it might invade the mainland, western leaders have been swift with recriminations. President Barack Obama warned Russia on Friday that there would be “costs” for its aggression.

But Syrian rebels and activists reiterated one piece of advice for the Ukrainians whose protest movement toppled the country’s president, a Russian ally, last week. “Make sure that you achieve whatever you’re aiming for with your own hands,” Abdullah Ismail, a rebel coordinator based on the Turkish border, told BuzzFeed. “That’s the only way to avoid relying on promises.”

“Ukrainians must believe only in themselves,” said Barzan Iso, a Syrian-Kurdish journalist and activist.

The Syrian opposition had long held out hope for significant U.S. support for their uprising, from heavy weapons and surface-to-air missiles to a no-fly zone. They argued that Assad’s main allies — Russia and Iran — had been steadfast in boosting his regime with arms and money, and in the latter case, with boots on the ground.

Many Syrians were deeply disappointed when Obama failed to enforce his famous “red line” on the Assad regime’s use of chemical weapons with air strikes — opting instead for a Moscow-initiated deal for the regime to give up its stockpile of chemical arms. “Do not develop strategies that are based on any assumption that the U.S. or EU will demonstrate assertive leadership to deter Russian aggression,” said Amr al-Azm, a U.S.-based member of the Syrian opposition and a professor at Shawnee State University.

45-state study: Obamacare offers less choice, higher prices

45-state study: Obamacare offers less choice, higher prices

A new and comprehensive comparison of health insurance options offered by Obamacare versus private websites finds that President Obama's program offers less choice and higher prices than promised by the White House and leading Democrats.

Adding to the list of broken health care promises, the study from the National Center for Public Policy Research found that there were more and cheaper options available on websites outside the health insurance exchange in 2013 than on healthcare.gov and state Obamacare exchanges.

The report, "Obamacare Exchanges: Less Choice, Higher Prices,” looked at options available for a 27-year-old single person and a 57-year-old couple in metropolitan areas across 45 states.

The report found that a 27-year-old male had about 10 more policies to choose from on eHealthinsurance.com and finder.healthcare versus the exchange. The older couple had about nine more policy choices.

Ditto for the cost findings, with the 27-year-old male having access to 32 policies that cost less than the cheapest Obamacare offering, and the 57-year-old couple access to 29 cheaper policies.

"In general, consumers had substantially more policies to choose from on private websites such as eHealthinsurance.com and Finder.healthcare.gov than they presently have on the exchanges," said the study.

"Obamacare supporters, including the president himself and Nancy Pelosi, claimed the exchanges would yield more choice and lower prices," said the study's author, David Hogberg. "This study shows those claims do not stand up.”

The National Center for Public Policy Research, founded in 1982, describes itself as a "non-partisan, free-market, independent conservative think-tank."

All they had to do was make it more competitive for people to buy insurance from other States, good ole capitalism. But instead it had to be Obama's socialized medicine, destructive in every way.

Obama Gets Lecture On Peace Talks From Netanyahu In White House Meeting

Obama Gets Lecture On Peace Talks From Netanyahu In White House Meeting

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met with US President Barack Obama in the Oval Office on Monday, pushing back against pressure from the White House to swiftly cut a deal with the Palestinians as the president warned time was running out for peace.

“Israel has been doing its part, and I regret to say that the Palestinians haven’t,” Netanyahu said to Obama, in front of the press. “The people of Israel know that it’s the case.”

“What we want is peace – not a piece of paper,” he said.

Netanyahu called for a “real peace… based on mutual recognition,” and chided his Palestinian counterparts for promoting “incessant violence” against the Jewish state.

“Israel, the Jewish state, is the realization of the Jewish people’s right to self-determination,” Netanyahu said. “I think it’s about time they recognized a nation state for the Jewish people.

We’ve only been here for about 4,000 years.”

Netanyahu is the first Israeli prime minister to formally call on the Palestinians to recognize Israel as the Jewish homeland – what he has called the “minimal requirement” for peace.

“The only peace that will endure is a peace that we can defend,” he added.

Obama Responds to Putin and Cancels USA's Delegation to Olympic Sochi PARALYMPICS Games

WASHINGTON -- The crisis in Ukraine prompted the White House today to cancel its official delegation to the Paralympic Games in Russia, and the Illinois lawmaker who had planned to lead the delegation issued a statement condemning Russian military actions.

Rep. Tammy Duckworth, an Illinois Democrat who lost both her legs during the Iraq war, expressed support for the U.S. athletes, who will compete in Sochi, Russia, despite the absence of Duckworth and the rest of the presidential delegation.

Her statement said:

"As a member of Congress, it is my first priority to ensure the safety of my constituents and all Americans. I remain appalled by the immoral and illegal actions of the Russian government and believe that there must be consequences for its behavior. The international community must stand together to support the sovereignty of the Ukraine and end the suffering of its people.

"The Paralympic Games are an inspiration to millions of disabled people around the globe and it is tragic that the reckless actions of the Russian government are jeopardizing them. Still, these brave Paralympians have shown tremendous perseverance throughout their entire lives and I know they will make all Americans proud in Sochi."

The Paralympic Games start Friday and run through March 16.

Anti-Semitic Obama : US Won’t Be Able to Defend Israel If Peace Talks Fail

This video shows Obama's history with his comments about Israel and how he has NOT been a friend to our friend and ally Israel.

Obama: US Won’t Be Able to Defend Israel If Peace Talks Fail

On Sunday Barack Obama warned Benjamin Netanyahu that the US would not be able to defend Israel if he does not endorse the administration’s framework for peace.

The Times of Israel

Israel can expect to face international isolation and possible sanctions from countries and companies across the world if Benjamin Netanyahu fails to endorse a framework agreement with the Palestinians, US President Barack Obama cautioned on Sunday ahead of a meeting with the Israeli prime minister

In an interview with Bloomberg, Obama stressed that time was running out for Israel to achieve a peace deal, and added that he believed Netanyahu had the capacity to rally Israel’s citizens behind an agreement…

…The president went on to condemn in no uncertain terms Israel’s settlement activities in the West Bank, and said that though his allegiance to the Jewish state was permanent, building settlements across the Green Line was counterproductive and would make it extremely difficult for the US to defend Israel from painful repercussions in the international community.

“If you see no peace deal and continued aggressive settlement construction — and we have seen more aggressive settlement construction over the last couple years than we’ve seen in a very long time — if Palestinians come to believe that the possibility of a contiguous sovereign Palestinian state is no longer within reach, then our ability to manage the international fallout is going to be limited,” Obama said.

Netanyahu vows tough line for White House talks

JERUSALEM (AP)

Israel's prime minister headed to Washington on Sunday for a high-stakes meeting with President Barack Obama about U.S.-led Mideast peace efforts, vowing to maintain a tough line in the face of heavy international pressure to begin making concessions to the Palestinians.

Benjamin Netanyahu's defiant tone set the stage for what could be a difficult meeting Monday with Obama. But with the clock ticking toward an April target date for a preliminary agreement, the Israeli leader could soon be forced to begin laying out a clearer vision for a future peace deal with the Palestinians.

Shortly before takeoff, Netanyahu vowed to "stand steadfast" on Israeli interests.

We may soon see military in armored trucks roaming our city streets. The reason, the Pentagon is looking to drastically cut back America`s military might. One way of getting rid of expensive battlefield vehicles is by giving them to police departments.

An estimated 13,000 mine-resistant vehicles are expected to be distributed around the country. They weigh about 20-tons and get five miles per gallon.

What the heck?

And at this website they have this information and a video.

Feb. 26 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. Army is giving away 13,000 armored trucks, worth about $500,000 each. The 20-ton MRAPs, or Mine-Resistant Ambush-Protected trucks, were built specifically to save U.S. soldiers from roadside bombs in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Now the trucks are patrolling U.S. city streets. U.S. law enforcement agencies have received the lion’s share of this high-powered military surplus. (Source: Bloomberg)

US Army Must Shed 6 Brigade Combat Teams To Meet Proposed Budget Cuts

Army Must Shed 6 Brigade Combat Teams To Meet Proposed Budget Cuts

Military News. com

The Pentagon’s fiscal 2015 defense budget proposal will cost the Army another six combat units, shrinking the active force to 28 brigade combat teams by 2019.

Prior to Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel’s Feb. 24 announcement, the Army was already on track to shrink to 490,000 soldiers. The force reduction will eliminate about a dozen BCTs, bringing the active force down to 32 BCTs by early 2016.

This latest round of budget cuts will force the Army to cut another four active BCTs as well as two combat aviation brigades, according to an Army official with knowledge of the plan.

The end strength announcement was part of the larger budget roll out that Congress still needs to sign off on before President Obama can approve it.

In addition to combat brigades, the Army would also have to cut up to 20,000 soldiers from combat support units, an Army source who asked to remain anonymous told Military.com.

The Army currently numbers just over 520,000 soldiers. Cutting the active force to a size of 440,000 to 450,000 would shrink the Army to the smallest it has been since before World War II.

Despite its reduced size, more than 10 years of war have made the Army effective at organizing potent force packages to respond to a wide range of battlefield challenges, the Army official said.

And with the war in Afghanistan drawing to a close, the Army is returning to a contingency-response mind-set.

More weakening of our military because of Obama.

Defense Budget Would Cut Troop Pay and Benefits

Defense Budget Would Cut Troop Pay and Benefits

Millitary.com

The U.S. Defense Department is proposing limiting troop pay raises, reducing housing allowances and cutting funding for commissary stores because of automatic budget cuts, officials said.

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Army Gen. Martin Dempsey outlined the recommendations as part of a preview of the Pentagon's $496 billion base budget request for fiscal 2015, which begins Oct. 1. The federal government's spending plan is scheduled to be released on March 4.

The proposals to curb personnel costs, which the officials said consume a rising share of defense spending, include limiting troop pay raises to 1 percent, reducing housing allowances by an average of 5 percent, cutting some $1 billion in commissary subsidies -- which will likely mean higher prices for troops and retirees -- and higher health care fees for some retirees.

"The savings will enable us to sustain a well-trained, ready, agile, motivated and technologically superior force," Hagel said during a briefing Monday afternoon at the Pentagon. "Although these recommendations do not cut anyone's pay, I realize they will be controversial."

The proposals drew swift criticism from veterans' service organizations and many lawmakers who have voted down similar efforts in the past.

"The all volunteer force is a finely tuned instrument," Rep. Howard "Buck" McKeon, R-Calif., chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, said in a statement. "These moves are the consequence of trying to resolve our fiscal problems on the backs of our troops."

Norb Ryan, president of the Military Officers Association of America, an Alexandria, Va.-based advocacy group, also released a statement, saying capping military raises below private-sector pay growth will "undermine retention and readiness."

With two years' worth of pay caps and the 5 percent housing-cut proposal, an E-5 Army sergeant with 10 years of service and a family of four would lose $1,400 a year, while an O-3 Army captain would lose $2,100 by the end of fiscal 2015, according to the association.

Hagel said personnel reductions are needed in order to preserve funding in other areas of the budget, including weapons modernization and readiness. The request would downsize the military, especially the Army, whose active-duty force would shrink to between 440,000 and 450,000 soldiers -- and even further to 420,000 soldiers if automatic cuts known as sequestration remain in effect.

"Reducing the Army to its smallest size since World War II is the worst possible approach to maintain our national security," Caroline Delleney, a spokeswoman for Rep. Joe Wilson, R-S.C., chairman of the House Armed Services Military Personnel Subcommittee, said in a statement.

During the past decade of war in Iraq and Afghanistan, where U.S. combat operations will end this year, military compensation has surged by 40 percent more than private-sector pay, thanks in part to generous pay raises from Congress, Hagel said. A former senator from Nebraska, the secretary said he supported the raises, which were higher than the Pentagon requested.

"It was the right thing to do at the time, given the burdens being placed on our service members, the military's recruiting and retention challenges, and the fact that we had few constraints in defense spending," he said. "But today, DoD faces vastly different fiscal challenges."

While troops would receive a 1 percent increase in basic pay next year -- down from 1.8 percent in recent years -- general officers and flag officers would see their pay frozen at current levels, Hagel said. Basic pay would continue to rise after 2015, though the increases would be "restrained," he said.

Service members would also have to pay out of pocket for some of their housing expenses. The department would cover an average of 95 percent of such costs under basic allowance for housing (BAH), with troops picking up the difference, Hagel said. The idea isn't new. In the 1990s, troops on average paid 18 percent of their housing costs, he said.

Retirees and some family members of active-duty troops would also have to pay more for health care. The department plans to "modernize" the Tricare health care system by "consolidating plans and adjusting deductibles and co-pays in ways that encourage member to use our most affordable means of care," including military treatment facilities, preferred providers and generic prescription medications, Hagel said.

"We will ask retirees and some active-duty family members to pay a little more in their deductibles and co-pays, but their benefits will remain affordable and generous, as they should be," he said. Medically retired service members and survivors wouldn't pay annual participation fees and would pay a smaller share of health care costs overall, he said.

What's more, the request would reduce the Defense Commissary Agency's annual budget from $1.4 billion today to $400 million by 2017 as first reported by Military.com. Some sources have predicted that such a decrease in funding will force the agency to make major changes, from raising prices to shuttering stores.

"We are not shutting down commissaries," Hagel said. "All commissaries will still get free rent and pay no taxes. They will be able to continue to provide a very good deal to service members and retirees -- much like our post exchanges, which do not receive direct subsidies."

Overseas stores and those in remote locations will continue to receive subsidies, he said.

Think tanks such as the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Analysis say the Pentagon needs to review such in-kind benefits. A survey done by the center found that most troops don't necessarily value certain benefits -- like the commissary -- as much as the military pays for them.

Lawmakers from both political parties will likely push back against the Pentagon's personnel proposals.

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., chairman of the Senate Armed Services Personnel Subcommittee, "has concerns" about the reported cuts to military health care and housing, according to her spokesman, James Rahm.

"She will be looking at these proposals closely and will be focused on ensuring that Congress honors the commitments we have already made to our service members, veterans, retirees and their families," he said in a statement.
