Get ready for Rat Infestation… OBAMA'S EPA Bans D-Con

The Environmental Protection Agency is moving to ban the sale of a dozen rat and mouse poisons sold under the popular D-Con brand in an effort to protect children and pets.

The agency said Wednesday it hopes to reduce the thousands of accidental exposures that occur every year from rodent-control products. Children and pets are at risk for exposure because the products typically are placed on floors.

The agency had targeted a handful of companies two years ago, saying they needed to develop new products that are safer for children, pets and wildlife. All but Reckitt Benckiser Inc., manufacturer of D-Con, did so.

Gov. Rick Perry Proposes Returning Unspent Tax Money Back to Citizens

Gov. Rick Perry Proposes Returning Unspent Tax Money Back to Citizens

Today, I’m calling for a mechanism to be put in place so when we do bring in more than we need, we’ll have the option of returning tax money directly to the people who paid it. “Currently, that’s not something our constitution allows. We need to fix that.”

FOX News Austin, Texas

Gov. Rick Perry presented a glowing assessment of the Texas economy Tuesday and said there was more than enough money in the state’s Rainy Day fund for a one-time, $3.7 billion-investment in water and transportation upgrades while also cutting taxes.

The Republican governor, who for weeks has called on the Legislature to hold down government spending even with the state’s economy booming, used his biennial State of the State speech Tuesday in the House chamber to call for a one-time investment in infrastructure he said is needed to ensure a high quality of life.

The Texas constitution calls for a percentage of oil and gas revenues to go into the Rainy Day Fund, which is nearing its constitutional cap.

“Our bank balance is healthy, our economy is growing, our future is limitless,” Perry said.

Perry also called on lawmakers to amend the Texas Constitution to allow the state to return tax money it collects but doesn’t spend to its citizens.

About 64 percent of state revenues come from sales tax, so it’s not clear how money could be returned directly to taxpayers.

Senate Confirms Hanoi John Kerry To Be Secretary of State

The Senate voted 94 to 3 to confirm Senator John Kerry as the next secretary of state, succeeding Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Boston Globe

The Senate confirmed President Obama’s nomination of Senator John F. Kerry to be secretary of state on Tuesday, handing the Massachusetts Democrat a redemptive career victory that ensconces him in an elite echelon of national leadership nine years after his failed bid for the presidency.

The 94-to-3 vote was the final hurdle for Kerry, whose nomination roared through the Senate after Obama’s first choice of UN Ambassador Susan Rice encountered stiff GOP opposition and never got off the ground.

Kerry met virtually no resistance, as his colleagues on both sides of the aisle lauded his 28 years of service in the Senate and his deep experience in international affairs, most recently as chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He is expected to give a farewell speech in the Senate on Wednesday.

Little suspense hung over the proceedings after Kerry cruised through a confirmation hearing last week before the Foreign Relations Committee. The accolades and ceremony began Tuesday morning when the committee — in just 10 minutes with almost no discussion — approved Kerry’s nomination, setting up the late afternoon vote by the full Senate. Even harsh administration critics such as Republicans Marco Rubio of Florida and Rand Paul of Kentucky joined the unanimous voice vote in committee.

n a statement, Obama said he was pleased that Kerry was confirmed with “overwhelming bipartisan support. From his decorated service in Vietnam to his decades in the Senate as a champion of American global leadership, John’s distinguished career has prepared him to guide American diplomacy in the years ahead.”

“You’re going to be an incredible secretary of state,’’ declared acting committee chairman Robert Menendez, a New Jersey Democrat, who cited Kerry’s “lightning speed’’ approval by the committee.

“Thank you all, very very much,’’ Kerry told his fellow committee members. “I’m honored beyond words.’’

He gripped hands and clasped shoulders with Republicans and Democrats alike, and gave a bear hug to Bertie H. Bowman, a longtime committee aide who was an assistant clerk of the committee more than four decades ago when Kerry testified before the panel in 1971 as a Vietnam veteran and antiwar protester.

“He’s my man,’’ an emotional Bowman said after Kerry left the committee room.

As senators trickled into the chamber later in the afternoon for the final vote, Kerry watched from his nearby office, then headed over to the Capitol accompanied by Senator Lindsey Graham, Republican of South Carolina. After the final votes were tallied, a smattering of senators who remained in the chamber — including newly installed Elizabeth Warren — applauded warmly. The three nay votes in the full Senate vote were cast by Republicans Ted Cruz of Texas, John Cornyn of Texas, and James Inhofe of Oklahoma. Kerry abstained.

Earlier, Kerry attended his last meeting of the Senate Democratic caucus and spoke in the closed-door luncheon about his hopes to continue working with Congress on the president’s foreign policy goals.

“This is a great way for him to take his public career to a new level,’’ said Senator Richard Durbin of Illinois, the Senate majority whip. In a floor speech later, Durbin recalled how Kerry and fellow veteran and former prisoner of war John McCain helped win Senate confirmation in 1997 of the first postwar US ambassador to Vietnam, Pete Peterson, who also was a Vietnam POW. At the time, in the face of opposition from some veterans groups, Kerry said dispatching an ambassador showed that America was ready to start treating Vietnam “as a country’’ and not “as a war.’’

Kerry’s confirmation clears the way for Governor Deval Patrick to name an interim senator to serve in Kerry’s seat until Massachusetts voters can pick a successor in a special election in June. The announcement is expected Wednesday. Kerry’s resignation is effective at 4 p.m. Friday.

Tuesday’s events provided a bipartisan respite from the intense, bitter feuds that have marked Capitol Hill discourse for the last two years. Republican senators who supported Kerry’s confirmation were among the same lawmakers who scuttled his efforts to win climate legislation and even shot down Kerry’s proposal to ratify an international treaty to recognize the rights of the physically and mentally disabled.

Kerry maintained a strict radio silence about his prospects for the top diplomatic post in recent weeks, as speculation swirled about his long-standing interest in the job and as Rice’s prospects flamed out. In the last week, a security detail began accompanying him. On Tuesday, just hours before the vote, he was finally beginning to publicly look ahead, reporting that he attended a breakfast meeting about the Middle East, where Israel, Syria, Iran, Egypt, and other volatile diplomatic problems await. Northern Africa, China, and North Korea will be high on his agenda as well.

In addition to his diplomatic role, the career lawmaker will face significant administrative challenges, such as the security failures in Benghazi, Libya, that contributed to the violent deaths of four Americans last year, including the US ambassador to Libya. The State Department has a budget of about $50 billion, more than 50,000 American and foreign employees, and nearly 300 embassies, consulates, missions, and other posts around the world.

Plaudits and congratulations poured in for the nominee, even before he was confirmed.

“I extend our sincerest and best congratulations to Senator Kerry on his confirmation as secretary of state. We all look forward to working with him and his team at a time of challenging transitions for the region,’’ Pakistan’s ambassador to the United States, Sherry Rehman, said in a statement issued several hours before the full Senate vote.

Kelly Ayotte, the Republican senator from New Hampshire, said, “Senator Kerry’s strong depth of knowledge on foreign policy issues and his service as chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee make him well-qualified to serve as secretary of state.’’

The Massachusetts congressional delegation also issued a flurry of congratulations — including a House member campaigning to succeed Kerry. Representative Edward J. Markey of Malden.

“Going from Hillary Clinton to John Kerry at the State Department is like the Red Sox going from Ted Williams to Carl Yastrzemski,’’ Markey said, “both possessing hall of fame talent and passion for the job.’’

Our country is a mess, I hate saying that but it is, to see this kind of thing happening when he should have been sent to jail for what he did when he came back from Vietnam and his protesting.

Hillary Clinton 'Got Away With Murder' In Benghazi

Lindsey Graham: Hillary Clinton 'Got Away With Murder' In Benghazi

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) has upped his already harsh rhetoric against outgoing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, claiming that she "got away with murder" in the Benghazi, Libya, attack that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans.

"I haven't forgotten about Benghazi. Hillary Clinton got away with murder, in my view," Graham said on Fox News Monday evening, speaking to Greta Van Susteren. "She said they had a clear-eyed view of the threats. How could you have a clear-eyed view of the threats in Benghazi when you didn't know about the ambassador's cable coming back from Libya?"

He also threatened to block the nomination of former Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-Neb.) as President Barack Obama's next secretary of defense until outgoing Defense Secretary Leon Panetta testifies about the attack.

Graham was part of a cadre of GOP senators who loudly protested the possible nomination of United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice as secretary of state over comments she made four days after the Benghazi attack, reflecting the then intelligence assessment of the incident as linked to an anti-Islam video. Rice withdrew from consideration under their criticism.

Clinton appeared in front of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee last Wednesday to answer questions about the attack. Exasperated by a similar what-did-you-know-when line of questioning from Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), she said, "With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest, or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided they'd go kill some Americans? What difference at this point does it make?"

Wild Thing's comment................

Yes and I would add Obama to that as well.

Hillary Clinton Compares GOP To Jihadists Who Carried Out Benghazi Attack

Hillary Clinton warns GOP lawmakers not to act like North Africa terrorists

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, while lamenting the partisanship of congressional Republicans who grilled her about the Benghazi attack, encouraged Republicans not to imitate the unwillingness to compromise evinced by terrorists in North Africa.

“It has been increasingly partisan,” Clinton said today at the Newseum when asked to comment on the questioning she faced from Republicans last week. “You can be partisan, you can have a strong sense of the rightness of your position, but democracy and certainly legislative bodies require compromise. And you can’t let compromise become a dirty word because then you veer toward fanaticism.”

“I mean, we were just talking about extremists who think it’s only their way, they are the ones who have the truth, none of the rest of us have any kind of claim on what is real in their views,” she continued. “And so it’s important in our democracies – like Australia, like the United States – that yes, be passionate, be intense about your feelings, but at the end of the day you’ve got to serve the people who sent you there, and that requires compromise.”

The “extremists” Clinton had just been discussing included those that carried out the terrorist attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, resulting in the deaths of the U.S. Ambassador to Libya and three other Americans.

Hillary super PAC readies launch

Hillary super PAC readies launch

Long-time supporters of Hillary Clinton have opened a super PAC to lay the groundwork for a 2016 presidential campaign, even though Clinton, just finishing a four-year term as secretary of state, has said nothing about her future plans.

ReadyForHillary launches a splash page next Monday at its website, ReadyForHillary.com. Allida Black and Judy Beck, two veteran Clinton fundraisers, are spearheading the new organization. They recruited Adam Parkhomeko, who helped launch a "Draft Hillary" movement in 2003 and was later hired by the campaign, to corral the far-flung vestiges of the Clinton campaign organization. NGP Software, which designed the Clinton campaign website in 2008, has been hired by the PAC.

Several former Clinton campaign staffers are offering input and suggestions. The PAC has no formal affiliation with Clinton or any of her top aides.

In an interview that aired last night on 60 Minutes, Clinton said neither she nor President Barack Obama "can make predictions about what's going to happen tomorrow or the next year," referring to the prospect of a presidential run. Clinton confidantes have said that Clinton has not telegraphed to them in any way what her intentions are after she takes a well-deserved break from the stresses of the public eye and public diplomacy.

ReadyForHillary aims to have its ducks in a row should Clinton decide to press go on a 2016 bid. It will serve as a virtual gathering place for supporters and donors. When prominent Democrats like Donna Brazile offer their endorsements — like Brazile did today in a tweet — the organization, which already claims close to 50,000 Twitter followers, will document them and push them out to the world.

And why the name? It was chosen, according to someone involved in the group, because everyone seems "Ready for Hillary."

Barack Obama: I’d Get More Done Without FOX News and Rush Limbaugh … Thank God For Rush and FOX

Barack Obama: I’d Get More Done Without FOX News and Rush Limbaugh

Barack Obama complained to The New Republic this weekend that he could get a lot more Republicans to buy into his radical agenda if it weren’t for FOX News and Rush Limbaugh.

NewsBusters

FRANKLIN FOER, EDITOR NEW REPUBLIC: Are there any forces for reform within the Republican Party, people you’ve been able to establish some sort of working relationship with?

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: Well, look, I’ve always believed that there are a bunch of Republicans of goodwill who would rather get something done than suffer through the sort of nasty atmosphere that prevails in Washington right now. It’s not a fun time to be a member of Congress.

And I think if you talk privately to Democrats and Republicans, particularly those who have been around for a while, they long for the days when they could socialize and introduce bipartisan legislation and feel productive. So I don’t think the issue is whether or not there are people of goodwill in either party that want to get something done. I think what we really have to do is change some of the incentive structures so that people feel liberated to pursue some common ground.

One of the biggest factors is going to be how the media shapes debates. If a Republican member of Congress is not punished on Fox News or by Rush Limbaugh for working with a Democrat on a bill of common interest, then you’ll see more of them doing it.

Obama Trashing Tricare -Obama to cut healthcare benefits for active duty and retired US military

Obama Trashing Tricare

Obama to cut healthcare benefits for active duty and retired US military

he Obama administration’s proposed defense budget calls for military families and retirees to pay sharply more for their healthcare, while leaving unionized civilian defense workers’ benefits untouched. The proposal is causing a major rift within the Pentagon, according to U.S. officials. Several congressional aides suggested the move is designed to increase the enrollment in Obamacare’s state-run insurance exchanges.

The disparity in treatment between civilian and uniformed personnel is causing a backlash within the military that could undermine recruitment and retention.

The proposed increases in health care payments by service members, which must be approved by Congress, are part of the Pentagon’s $487 billion cut in spending. It seeks to save $1.8 billion from the Tricare medical system in the fiscal 2013 budget, and $12.9 billion by 2017.

Many in Congress are opposing the proposed changes, which would require the passage of new legislation before being put in place.

“We shouldn’t ask our military to pay our bills when we aren’t willing to impose a similar hardship on the rest of the population,” Rep. Howard “Buck” McKeon, chairman of the House Armed Services Committee and a Republican from California, said in a statement to the Washington Free Beacon. “We can’t keep asking those who have given so much to give that much more.”

Administration officials told Congress that one goal of the increased fees is to force military retirees to reduce their involvement in Tricare and eventually opt out of the program in favor of alternatives established by the 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare.

“When they talked to us, they did mention the option of healthcare exchanges under Obamacare. So it’s in their mind,” said a congressional aide involved in the issue.

Military personnel from several of the armed services voiced their opposition to a means-tested tier system for Tricare, prompting Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin Dempsey to issue a statement Feb. 21.

Dempsey said the military is making tough choices in cutting defense spending. In addition to the $487 billion over 10 years, the Pentagon is facing automatic cuts that could push the total reductions to $1 trillion.

“I want those of you who serve and who have served to know that we’ve heard your concerns, in particular your concern about the tiered enrollment fee structure for Tricare in retirement,” Dempsey said. “You have our commitment that we will continue to review our health care system to make it as responsive, as affordable, and as equitable as possible.”

Under the new plan, the Pentagon would get the bulk of its savings by targeting under-65 and Medicare-eligible military retirees through a tiered increase in annual Tricare premiums that will be based on yearly retirement pay.

Significantly, the plan calls for increases between 30 percent to 78 percent in Tricare annual premiums for the first year. After that, the plan will impose five-year increases ranging from 94 percent to 345 percent—more than 3 times current levels.

According to congressional assessments, a retired Army colonel with a family currently paying $460 a year for health care will pay $2,048.

The new plan hits active duty personnel by increasing co-payments for pharmaceuticals and eliminating incentives for using generic drugs.

The changes are worrying some in the Pentagon who fear it will severely impact efforts to recruit and maintain a high-quality all-volunteer military force. Such benefits have been a key tool for recruiting qualified people and keeping them in uniform.

“Would you stay with a car insurance company that raised your premiums by 345 percent in five years? Probably not,” said the congressional aide. “Would anybody accept their taxes being raised 345 percent in five years? Probably not.”

A second congressional aide said the administration’s approach to the cuts shows a double standard that hurts the military.

“We all recognize that we are in a time of austerity,” this aide said. “But defense has made up to this point 50 percent of deficit reduction cuts that we agreed to, but is only 20 percent of the budget.”

The administration is asking troops to get by without the equipment and force levels needed for global missions. “And now they are going to them again and asking them to pay more for their health care when you’ve held the civilian workforce at DoD and across the federal government virtually harmless in all of these cuts. And it just doesn’t seem fair,” the second aide said.

Spokesmen for the Defense Department and the Joint Chiefs of Staff did not respond to requests for comment on the Tricare increases.

The massive increases beginning next year appear timed to avoid upsetting military voters in a presidential election year, critics of the plan say.

Additionally, the critics said leaving civilian workers’ benefits unchanged while hitting the military reflect the administration’s effort to court labor unions, as government unions are the only segment of organized labor that has increased in recent years.

As part of the increased healthcare costs, the Pentagon also will impose an annual fee for a program called Tricare for Life, a new program that all military retirees automatically must join at age 65. Currently, to enroll in Tricare for Life, retirees pay the equivalent of a monthly Medicare premium.

Under the proposed Pentagon plan, retirees will be hit with an additional annual enrollment fee on top of the monthly premium.

Congressional aides said that despite unanimous support among the military chiefs for the current healthcare changes, some senior officials in the Pentagon are opposing the reforms, in particular the tiered system of healthcare.

“It doesn’t matter what the benefit is, whether it’s commissary, PX, or healthcare, or whatever … under the rationale that if you raise your hand and sign up to serve, you earn a base set of benefits, and it should have nothing to do with your rank when you served, and how much you’re making when you retire,” the first aide said.

Military service organizations are opposing the healthcare changes and say the Pentagon is “means-testing” benefits for service personnel as if they were a social program, and not something earned with 20 or more years of military service.

Retired Navy Capt. Kathryn M. Beasley, of the Military Officers Association of America, said the Military Coalition, 32 military service and veterans groups with an estimated 5 million members, is fighting the proposed healthcare increases, specifically the use of mean-testing for cost increases.

“We think it’s absolutely wrong,” Beasley told the Free Beacon. “This is a breach of faith” for both the active duty and retiree communities.

Congressional hearings are set for next month.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars on Feb. 23 called on all military personnel and the veterans’ community to block the healthcare increases.

“There is no military personnel issue more sacrosanct than pay and benefits,” said Richard L. DeNoyer, head of the 2 million-member VFW. “Any proposal that negatively impacts any quality of life program must be defeated, and that’s why the VFW is asking everyone to join the fight and send a united voice to Congress.”

Senior Air Force leaders are expected to be asked about the health care cost increases during a House Armed Services Committee hearing scheduled for Tuesday.

Congress must pass all the proposed changes into law, as last year’s defense authorization bill preemptively limited how much the Pentagon could increase some Tricare fees, while other fees already were limited in law.

Tricare for Life, Tricare Prime, and Tricare Standard increases must be approved, as well as some of the pharmacy fee increases, congressional aides said.

Current law limits Tricare fee increases to cost of living increases in retirement pay.

No other way to say it...... Obama is a total asshole.! He hates our military and our Veterans.

Obama Continues To Violate Stimulus Law By Not Filing Quarterly Reports

Obama Continues To Violate Stimulus Law By Not Filing Quarterly Reports

Weekly Standard

Have you heard much about President Obama’s $787,000,000,000 economic “stimulus” (now estimated to cost $831,000,000,000) lately? In its last report, published in 2011, the president’s own Council of Economic Advisors released an estimate showing that, for every $317,000 in “stimulus” spending that had by then gone out the door, only one job had been created or saved. Even in Washington, that’s not considered good bang for the buck.
Moreover, that was the fifth consecutive “stimulus” report that showed this number getting progressively worse.

Alas, that was the last report we’ve seen. Never mind that Section 1513 of the “stimulus” legislation, which Obama spearheaded and signed into law, requires the executive branch to submit a new report every three months. It reads:

“In consultation with the Director of the Office of Management and Budget and the Secretary of the Treasury, the Chairperson of the Council of Economic Advisers shall submit quarterly reports to the Committees on Appropriations of the Senate and House of Representatives that detail the impact of programs funded through covered funds on employment, estimated economic growth, and other key economic indicators.”

(The head of the Council of Economic Advisors, currently Alan Krueger, is appointed by the president, confirmed by the Senate, and works in the Executive Office of the President. He is the president’s chief economic adviser.)

Obama's Fault !!! 13.8% of Overseas Military Couldn’t Vote in 2012

13.8% of Overseas Military Couldn’t Vote in 2012....1-in-5 did not receive ballot

Army Times

The absentee voting process has improved in recent years, but many service members and their families still face hurdles in casting their ballots, according to a new report from the Overseas Vote Foundation.

The foundation found that compared to overseas civilians, a higher percentage of military voters — 13.8 percent — tried to vote but could not finish the process, compared to 11.2 percent of civilians with the same problem, based on an OVF post-election survey of overseas citizens and military personnel and their family members, as well as local election officials.

But overall, there have been improvements in the voting experience for overseas military and citizen voters since the passage of the Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment Act in 2009. The 2012 election is the first presidential election and first full-fledged test of the impact of the MOVE Act.

“While we acknowledge the tremendous progress and positive trends now visible, continued improvements can still be realized,” the report stated.

More than one-fifth of military voters, 21.6 percent, did not receive their ballots, while 17 percent of overseas civilians did not receive them. That rate represents an improvement: 27.5 percent of military voters and 22 percent of civilian voters surveyed by OVF after the 2008 election didn’t get their ballots.

Military voters also were more likely than civilian voters to report getting their ballots late. Just over 4 percent of military voters got their ballots after Nov. 1, compared to 2.6 percent of civilian voters.

Obama Abused His Power! Court says Obama appointments violate constitution

Court says Obama appointments violate constitution

MY Way News

Barack Obama violated the Constitution when he bypassed the Senate last year to appoint three members of the National Labor Relations Board, a federal appeals court ruled Friday in a far-reaching decision that could severely limit a chief executive's powers to make recess appointments.

The decision of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit marked a victory for Republicans and business groups critical of the labor board. If it stands, it could invalidate hundreds of board decisions over the past year, including some that make it easier for unions to organize.

When Obama filled the vacancies on Jan. 4, 2012, Congress was on an extended holiday break. But GOP lawmakers gaveled in for a few minutes every three days just to prevent Obama from making recess appointments. The White House argued that the pro forma sessions - some lasting less than a minute - were a sham.

The court rejected that argument, but went even further, finding that under the Constitution, a recess occurs only during the breaks between formal year-long sessions of Congress, not just any informal break when lawmakers leave town. It also held that presidents can bypass the Senate only when administration vacancies occur during a recess.

White House press secretary Jay Carney said the administration strongly disagrees with the decision and that the labor board would continue to conduct business as usual, despite calls by some Republicans for the board members to resign.

Assault Weapons Ban Lacks Democratic Votes Needed to Pass Senate

Assault Weapons Ban Lacks Democratic Votes Needed to Pass Senate

A proposed ban on sales of assault weapons would be defeated in the U.S. Senate today unless some members changed their current views, based on a Bloomberg review of recent lawmaker statements and interviews.

At least six of the 55 senators who caucus with Democrats have recently expressed skepticism or outright opposition to a ban, the review found. That means Democrats wouldn’t have a simple 51-vote majority to pass the measure, let alone the 60 votes needed to break a Republican filibuster to bring it to a floor vote.

A ban on the military-style weapons is among the legislative goals President Barack Obama outlined in his recommendations to Congress on curbing gun violence. Yesterday, Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein of California introduced legislation to outlaw such sales during a news conference where survivors of past shootings, some of them with bullets still lodged in their bodies, urged its passage

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid told a Nevada television station Friday that the Senate is unlikely to pass an assault weapons ban or a radical revamp of filibuster rules.

But the Democratic leader was optimistic about changes to immigration laws, noting that it will be the chamber’s top priority this year.

In the interview that aired on Vegas PBS this weekend, Reid, a gun rights supporter, struck a pragmatic tone on gun control measures.

“Let’s be realistic. In the Senate, we’re going to do what we think can get through the House. And I’m not going to be going through a bunch of these gyrations just to say we’ve done something because if we’re really legislators, the purpose of it is to pass legislation,” Reid said.

He said he wants to see what President Barack Obama wants to do by administrative means. Reid also expressed reservations about legislation to outlaw assault weapons, a measure that he has long opposed.

“Is it something that can pass the Senate? Maybe. Is it something that can pass the House? I doubt it,” Reid said. “So I think there are things that we know we can do.”

Sarah Palin and Fox News Channel Part Ways ~ OK with me Bye Bye!

Sarah Palin and Fox News Channel Part Ways

Republican former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has parted ways with Fox News Channel after working for three years as a paid commentator, the cable TV network said on Friday.

Palin, who went from being a little-known governor to a political sensation after Senator John McCain picked her as his running mate in the 2008 presidential election, was one of the channel’s biggest names despite appearing only occasionally.

“We have thoroughly enjoyed our association with Governor Palin,” Bill Shine, Fox News Channel executive vice president of programming, said in a statement. “We wish her the best in her future endeavors.”

Fox News Channel declined to give details of Palin’s departure, and a spokesperson said only that the two had “parted ways.”

Wild Thing's comment..............

Sarah showed what she is about and it is all about Sarah. Big disappointment imo. I had enough of her and am glad I don't have to hear the screechy voice anymore on FOX.

She led her followers ( too many became zombie like in their worship of her) on as she kept them in suspense mode for a year as to would she run or not for President.

She attacked Gov. Rick Perry when he was running for President when she was on Greta's show with Bachmann. And this was after she had endorsed him when he ran for Gov. Rick Perry had not changed at all but Sarah sure as heck did.

She waited until Nov. 5th to endorse Mitt Romney even after he had won the GOP nomination.

She did many other things that disappointed me I am not going to bother to list here. The important thing is I for one am glad FOX has let her go.

Obama EPA kills power plant, 3,900 jobs in Texas

The Examiner

Chase Power, the parent company behind the $3 billion Las Brisas coal power plant in Corpus Christi, Texas, announced yesterday that it was cancelling the project.

“Chase Power … has opted to suspend efforts to further permit the facility and is seeking alternative investors as part of a plan of dissolution for the parent company,” Chase CEO Dave Freysinger told the Corpus Christi Caller-Times.

Freysinger made it very clear who was responsible for the projects death. “The (Las Brisas Energy Center) is a victim of EPA’s concerted effort to stifle solid-fuel energy facilities in the U.S., including EPA’s carbon-permitting requirements and EPA’s New Source Performance Standards for new power plants,” he said.

The Las Brisas power plant had been part of a larger Las Brisas Energy Center project planned for Corpus Christi’s Inner Harbor. Economists had projected that in the first 5 years of construction and operation the project would create as 1,300 direct and 2,600 indirect jobs. Now none of those jobs will exist.

.

Back in January 2008 Barack Obama told the San Francisco Chronicle:

“Under my plan of a cap and trade system electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Businesses would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that cost onto consumers.”

He promised that his plan would cause electricity rates to skyrocket.

Sen. Diane Feinstein Rolls out “Assault” Weapons Ban; Would ban 158 Firearms

Visit NBCNews.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Here is video of Democratic Senator Diane Feinstein officially putting forward their attack on the Second Amendment rights of every American. Their so-called “Assault Weapons Ban” would ban 158 firearms, but would clearly affect law-abiding citizens rather than preventing what it claims to prevent. The previous “Assault Weapons Ban” did not prevent the Columbine mass shooting, nor many other mass shootings. Feinstein and her ilk are seizing on the terrible Newtown tragedy to push their long-standing anti-gun agenda.

This bill is going nowhere. Even Joe Biden is already throwing it under the bus:

NBC NEWS: “Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday downplayed the importance of passing an assault weapons ban, even as Senate Democrats began a formal push to revive restrictions on those firearms.

“I’m much less concerned quite frankly about what you call an assault weapon than I am about magazines and the number of rounds that can be held in a magazine,” said Biden.

Who knows what we will end up with when they get done messing with the 2nd Amendment. This is all so wrong.

Kudlow: Feinstein’s Gun Ban Bill “An Off-The-Chart, Over-The-Edge Outrageous Violation of the 2nd Amendment”

Congressional Democrats are reintroducing legislation to ban assault weapons but the measure faces long odds even after last month’s mass school shooting in Newtown, Conn.

The measure unveiled Thursday is authored by Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein, who wrote the original assault weapons ban that expired in 2004 when Congress refused to renew it under pressure from the National Rifle Association.

Kudlow on CNBC hammers Feinstein for her proposal. Larry’s guest says it would be very difficult for the legislation to pass because Harry Reid has signaled that he will not bring up for a vote in the senate anything that has not passed the House.

Kudlow calls this a complete disregard for the 2nd Amendment.

Medicare Paid Out $91.6 Million To Claims Made By Illegal Immigrants

Politico

Illegal immigrants and prison inmates received more than $120 million in Medicare services from 2009-2011 despite federal law that makes them ineligible for the program, according to two new reports from the HHS inspector general.

The issue, according to the reports, is timing. When Medicare is alerted that someone is incarcerated or undocumented, its contractors help prevent payments from going out the door. But often, Medicare’s databases aren’t up to date, and improper payments go out.

And Medicare lacks the tools to get the money back.

Nearly 3,000 illegal immigrants made thousands of claims resulting in $91.6 million in services improperly covered by Medicare during the three-year period studied in the report.

School District Buys 14 AR-15 Assault Rifles To Keep On Campuses For Student Protection

CBS Los Angeles

The Fontana Unified School District Police Department purchased 14 AR-15 assault weapons to protect students in response to recent shootings across the country, but some school leaders and citizens think it’s a step in the wrong direction.

FUSD Superintendent Cali Olsen-Binks approved the acquisition of the rifles, which are being stored on campuses in locked safes for responding police officers in the event of an attack.

Fontana Police Chief Rodney Jones and Mayor Acquanetta Warren supported Olsen-Binks’ decision.

“It’s unfortunate that we have to have that, but it’s the best message we can send to anybody that thinks to harm our children,” said Jones. “The message we’re sending is…not here, not now, we’re prepared for you. And if you seek to harm our children, we will neutralize that threat and you will most likely be killed.”

Warren said, “Everyone wants children safe. At this time, we as a community, we have to come together and find other ways. But in the interim, our police officers need to be equipped.”

BENGHAZI TIMELINE: Hillary Clinton to Testify Before Congress on Benghazi Attack

BENGHAZI TIMELINE: Hillary Clinton to Testify Before Congress on Benghazi Attack

FOX News

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will testify today.....Wednesday before separate Senate and House committees investigating the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Take a look at this timeline, courtesy of the Fox News Brainroom, detailing the events leading up the attack and the Obama administration’s response.

Tune in to Fox News Channel for complete coverage of Clinton’s testimony, which is scheduled for 9am ET before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and 2pm ET before the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

April 15, 2011 – Special envoy Christopher Stevens arrives in Benghazi, Libya to forge ties with the rebel forces battling Muammar Qaddafi.

May 22, 2011 – President Obama appoints Stevens as the U.S. ambassador to Libya.

October 20, 2011 - Qaddafi is captured and killed by rebels in Sirte, Libya.

February 2012 - The U.S. Embassy is granted a four-month extension, until August, of a Tripoli-based “site security team.” The team is composed of 16 special forces soldiers who provide security, medical and communications support to the embassy.

March 2012 - State Department Regional Security Officer Eric Nordstrom sends a cable to Washington asking for additional diplomatic security agents for Benghazi. With no response, he sends another request again in July. Still no response.

July 2012 – A trailer for the film “Innocence of Muslims” is uploaded to YouTube.

August 14, 2012 – The site security team leaves Libya. Team leader Lt. Col. Andy Wood has since testified that Stevens wanted them to stay.

September 8, 2012 – Libyan militia in charge of protecting the U.S. Consulate warns U.S. diplomats that the security situation is “frightening.”

September 10, 2012 – Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri calls on Libyans to avenge the death of his Libyan deputy, Abu Yahya al-Libi, who was killed in a June drone strike in Pakistan

September 11, 2012 - The U.S. Embassy in Cairo condemns hurting the religious feelings of Muslims in a tweet.

September 11, 2012 - The U.S. Consulate and a nearby CIA annex in Benghazi are attacked in a well-coordinated nighttime assault, killing the U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, U.S. Foreign Service Information Management Officer Sean Smith and former U.S. Navy SEALs Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods.

Sept 12, 2012 - In remarks from the Rose Garden, President Obama declares “justice will be done.” Later in the presidential campaign, there was debate over whether he explicitly called the attack terrorism.

Sept 12-18, 2012 - Administration spokesmen, including Carney, citing an unclassified assessment prepared by the CIA, maintain that the attacks likely were a spontaneous protest against an anti-Muslim film.

September 16, 2012 - Ambassador Susan Rice goes on five Sunday talk shows and basically says: “The information, the best information and the best assessment we have today is that in fact this was not a preplanned, premeditated attack. That what happened initially was that it was a spontaneous reaction to what had just transpired in Cairo as a consequence of the video.” – Fox News Sunday.

September 19, 2012 - CNN reports having found Ambassador Stevens’ diary, which indicates concern about security threats in Benghazi.

September 19, 2012 - Director of the National Counterterrorism Center Matthew Olsen tells Congress the attack in Libya was “terrorism.”

September 20, 2012 - Carney tries to back up Olsen, says it was “self-evident that what happened in Benghazi was a terrorist attack.”

September 20, 2012 - Obama refuses to call the attack terrorism, citing insufficient information.

September 21, 2012 - Secretary of State Clinton, at meeting with the Pakistani Foreign Minister, says, “What happened in Benghazi was a terrorist attack.”

September 25, 2012 - On ABC’s “The View,” Obama says, “We don’t have all of the information yet, so we are still gathering.”

September 25, 2012 - To the U.N. assembly, Obama blames “a crude and disgusting video sparked outrage throughout the Muslim world.”

September 26, 2012 - Libya’s Magarief on the “Today” show says, “It was a preplanned act of terrorism directed against American citizens.”

September 26, 2012 - Published reports show U.S. Intel agencies and the Obama administration knew within 24 hours that al-Qaeda affiliated terrorist were involved.

September 28, 2012 - Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper, Jr., issues a statement backing the Obama administration’s account of the Libyan attack, saying the facts are evolving.

October 2, 2012 - Carney declines to comment on reported requests from diplomats in Libya for additional security, citing the State Department’s internal investigation.

October 2, 2012 - A letter is sent to Clinton from House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) and Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) detailing 13 known security threats against U.S. facilities in Libya in the six months prior to September 11.

Oct. 9, 2012 - The State Department holds a briefing on the timeline of the attack.

October 10, 2012 - At the Oversight and Government Reform Committee Hearing, Charlene R. Lamb, Eric Nordstrom and Lt. Col. Andrew Wood testify.

Oct. 23, 2012 - Reuters reports that an official email shows officials at the White House and State Department were advised two hours after attackers assaulted the U.S. diplomatic mission on September 11 that the Libyan group called Ansar al-Sharia, an Islamic militant group had claimed credit.

Oct. 24, 2012 - Clinton says a Facebook post in which an Islamic militant group claimed credit for the Benghazi attack does not constitute hard evidence of who was responsible: “On Benghazi, look, I’ve said it and I’ll say it one more time. No one wants to find out what happened more than I do. We are holding ourselves accountable to the American people, because not only they, but our brave diplomats and development experts serving in dangerous places around the world, deserve no less. The independent Accountability Review Board is already hard at work looking at everything – not cherry-picking one story here or one document there – but looking at everything, which I highly recommend as the appropriate approach to something as complex as an attack like this.

Posting something on Facebook is not in and of itself evidence, and I think it just underscores how fluid the reporting was at the time and continued for some time to be. What I keep in mind is that four brave Americans were killed, and we will find out what happened, we will take whatever measures are necessary to fix anything that needs to be fixed, and we will bring those to justice who committed these murders. And I think that that is what we have said, that is what we are doing, and I’m very confident that we will achieve those goals.”

Nov. 1, 2012 - CIA releases a timeline, providing a minute-by-minute look at how the security teams’ response played out. It shows CIA misjudgment in relying on Libyan militias and a newly formed Libyan intelligence organization.

Nov. 4, 2012 - David Axelrod appears on Fox News Sunday. Axelrod, referencing the evening of September 11, 2012, said: “The president convened the top military officials that evening and told them to do whatever was necessary and they took the steps that they thought, they took every step they could take.”

Nov. 10, 2012 - The Department of Defense releases a timeline which shows that the first U.S. military unit arrived in Libya more than 15 hours after the attack on the consulate in Benghazi was over.

Nov. 14, 2012 - Obama defends Susan Rice at a press conference: “She made an appearance at the request of the White House in which she gave her best understanding of the intelligence that had been provided to her,” he said. “If Sen. McCain and Sen. Graham and others want to go after somebody, they should go after me. And I’m happy to have that discussion with them. But for them to go after the U.N. ambassador who had nothing to do with Benghazi, and was simply making a presentation based on intelligence that she had received, and to besmirch her reputation is outrageous.”

Nov. 16, 2012 - At Senate Intelligence Committee Hearings, General Petraeus testifies, telling Congress that he and the spy agency had sought to make clear from the outset that September’s deadly attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, involved an Al Qaeda affiliate.

Nov. 21, 2012 - AP reports Ahmed Abu Khattala, leader of the Islamist organization Ansar al-Shariah, has not been arrested or he says even questioned about the attacks on the Benghazi consulate. Abu Khattala has denied involvement in the attacks and says he will not go into hiding. Several witnesses report seeing him help direct the attack.

Dec. 11, 2012 - Clinton says in regard to Benghazi, “I’m not going to answer any hypothetical questions about what could’ve happened but didn’t happen. I’m looking forward to being able to discuss all of the issues pertaining to this after the conclusion of the Accountability Review Board.”

Dec. 18, 2012 - The Accountability Review Board releases a report finding that systematic management failures at the State Department led To inadequate security.

Dec. 18, 2012 - Clinton says she accepts “every one” of the panel’s recommendations and is taking steps to ensure that they are “implemented quickly and completely.” She said she had already launched a worldwide security review, with special emphasis on high-threat posts and that the State Department had begun hiring and training additional diplomatic security personnel.

Dec. 19, 2012 - Ambassador Tom Pickering of the Accountability Review Board blames “performance inadequacies” at the State Dept. and says “the Libyan Government was almost absent from the scene,” as the board issues 29 recommendations to sure up security at U.S. diplomatic missions abroad.

Dec. 20, 2012 - White House press secretary Jay Carney says, “What happened that day in Benghazi is a tragedy,” and that, “action is already being taken,” in response to recommendations made by the Accountability Review Board. Carney went on to say “Clearly, it is unacceptable and there is a problem,” and “Certainly we can do better.”

Dec. 30, 2012 - Obama tells NBC’s David Gregory: “This was a huge problem. And we’re going to implement every single recommendation that’s been put forward.”

Jan. 2, 2013 - State Dept. spokesperson Victoria Nuland says that the Accountability Review Board set up in the wake of the attacks was “very explicit about the mistakes that were made” and that, “[W]e are looking hard at that and we are working on” the recommendations.

New Report Condemns Obama, and His State Dept On Actions Before And After Attack In Benghazi

New Report Condemns Obama, State Dept.

Critical of actions taken both before and after the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack

Washington Free Beacon

Government watchdog Judicial Watch released a report Tuesday criticizing the State Department’s and President Barack Obama’s actions both before and after the Sept. 11, 2012, attack in which United States Amb. Christopher Stevens and three other Americans were killed.

“The September 11, 2012, attack in Benghazi resulted from a wide range of strategic and tactical failures by State Department officials,” according to the report. “Chief among them was the fateful decision to circumvent established security regulations by designating the diplomatic post in Benghazi a ‘Special Mission Compound,’ ignoring repeated requests for additional security resources by Diplomatic Security personnel on the ground.”

The report also criticized the State Department for being “well aware of the escalating violence in Benghazi and the political threat it posed to the U.S mission there.”

The report criticized the president and administration officials for continued insistence that the attack was triggered by “an obscure Internet video.”

“Our concern is that security has taken a back seat to politics at the State Department,” stated Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton in a press release. “The willingness of the State Department and the White House to lie about the Benghazi attack does not inspire confidence that the Benghazi security failures will be seriously addressed. In the meantime, our diplomatic personnel may remain at risk as politicians and bureaucrats avoid accountability.”

The press release also notes “Judicial Watch has more than 10 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests pending with various executive departments and agencies seeking records relating to the Benghazi attack.”

God bless Bibi!! Benjamin Netanyahu Prevails in Israeli Election

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed victory in Israel’s national election, but his his victory is by a narrower margin than expected. Netanyahu’s Party won 31 of the 120 seats in the Knesset, and with his coalition of other parties, he is expected to get to a majority to remain Prime Minister. But the more moderate parties are reportedly expected to have more influence as a result of this election outcome.

Krauthammer: Obama’s Inauguration Speech Was an “Ode to Big Government” That Declared the “End of Reaganism”

Charles Krauthammer provided reaction to the address, which he believes will be considered historically important because it revealed “Obama unbound.”

He argued that in the address, the president declared “the end of Reaganism.”

In Reagan’s 1981 inaugural address, he changed the ideology of the country by declaring that “government is not the solution, government is the problem.”

Krauthammer said, “Today’s inaugural address was a rebuke to that entire idea. This speech today was an ode to big government, it was a hymn to big government.”

He cited the president’s focus on climate change and civil rights.

“This speech was a declaration the era of big government is back,” Krauthammer said.

Obama Throws Out Marine Legend General James Mattis The Head Of Central Command

“Word on the national security street is that General James Mattis is being given the bum’s rush out of his job as commander of Central Command, and is being told to vacate his office several months earlier than planned,” reports veteran national security correspondent Thomas E. Ricks.

It now appears likely that Gen. Mattis, a Marine Corps legend, will leave his post as head of America’s most important combatant command in March, several months earlier than planned. Ricks continues:

“Why the hurry? Pentagon insiders say that he rubbed civilian officials the wrong way — not because he went all “mad dog,” which is his public image, and the view at the White House, but rather because he pushed the civilians so hard on considering the second- and third-order consequences of military action against Iran. Some of those questions apparently were uncomfortable. Like, what do you do with Iran once the nuclear issue is resolved and it remains a foe? What do you do if Iran then develops conventional capabilities that could make it hazardous for U.S. Navy ships to operate in the Persian Gulf? He kept saying, “And then what?

Utah Business Owner Fires Two Liberal Employees To Cover Cost Of Obamacare

The head of a Utah forensics company says it’s only fair that two liberal employees were let go because liberal policies are costing his business.

A Utah business owner says he fired two employees in large part because they supported President Barack Obama.

“They were Obama supporters. We just knew they were,” Terry Lee, owner of Terry Lee Forensics, a Cedar City, Utah, digital forensics company, told The Salt Lake Tribune on Thursday.

Lee first mentioned the firings in the comments section of another story in the Tribune about a Vernal, Utah, smoothie shop owner charging “liberals” a higher price than “conservatives” for drinks. That shop owner said “liberal programs” are costing his business more, so it’s only fair that left-leaning customers should pay more.

According to the Tribune, Lee showed his support for the tactic by writing:

“Love it. We had to let two employees go to cover new Obongocare [sic] costs and increased taxes. Found two Obongo supporters and gave them the news yesterday. They wanted the idiot in the Whitehouse [sic], they reap the benefits.”

The comment was later deleted by the author.

Lee did not return a telephone call from MSN News on Friday to expound on the comment.

Contacted by the Tribune Thursday, Lee said he picked the two employees in large part on the basis of their politics, according to the newspaper. But he added that there were other issues as well, which he didn’t detail, and said the two workers “were not top performers.”

He said that he didn’t think the firings were illegal. “Is your political affiliation protected?” he was quoted as saying. “I don’t believe it is, but I don’t know.”

Utah law says private employment in the state is generally “at will.” That means a private employer can fire a worker without cause and without notice.

8,332,000 Americans Dropped Out Of The Workforce During Obama’s First Term

8,332,000 Americans Dropped Out Of The Workforce During Obama’s First Term…

CNSNews

The number of Americans age 16 or older who decided not to work or even to seek a job increased by 8,332,000 to a record 88,839,000 in President Barack Obama’s first term, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The increase in Americans opting out of the labor force during Obama’s first term resulted in a decrease in the labor force participation rate from 65.7 percent in January 2009, the month Obama was first inaugurated, to 63.6 percent in December 2012, the latest month reported. Before Obama took office, the labor force participation rate had not been as low as 63.6 percent since 1981, the year President Ronald Reagan took over from President Jimmy Carter.

To be in the labor force a person must either have a job or actively sought one in the previous four weeks.

When Obama was inaugurated in January 2009, there were 80,507,000 American civilians age 16 or older who did not have a job or seek one. In December 2012, there were 88,839,000—thus, the increase of 8,332,000.

Obama has pushed his pay to people that stay unemployed and he hates the American dream so this all contributes to the bringing down of people. His legacy is one of hate, racism, low expectations and pushing for people to give up and let the big government take care of them.

Obama is a very negative force, there is nothing positive about him.

Obama Names Candidate For ATF Director Who Was Involved In Design Of “Fast And Furious”

Breitbart

As part of President Barack Obama’s 23-point gun control plan, he nominated Minnesota U.S. Attorney B. Todd Jones-who currently doubles right now as the acting director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives-to be the ATF Director.

Jones was personally a part of the high-ranking Department of Justice unit that first met on October 26, 2009, to create the new DOJ policy that was used to justify “gunwalking” in Operation Fast and Furious. In Fast and Furious, the ATF “walked” roughly 2,000 firearms into the hands of the Mexican drug cartels. That means through straw purchasers the agency allowed sales to happen and didn’t stop the guns from being trafficked, even though they had the legal authority to do so and were fully capable of doing so.

Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and hundreds of Mexican citizens–estimates put it around at least 300–were killed with these firearms.

Democrat’s Proposal Will Force Gun Owners to Store Assault Weapons At Government Approved Storage Depots

Democrat’s Proposal Will Force Gun Owners to Store Assault Weapons At Government Approved Storage Depots

Source

Massachusetts State Representative David Linsky has filed a new bill that would force gun owners to undergo mental health background checks, pay an additional 25% tax on all forms of ammunition, and require firearms categorized as “assault weapons” to be stored outside of their homes at government approved sites.
Natick Patch reported, via Black Listed News:

“This bill is a comprehensive effort to reduce all types of gun violence – murders, intentional shootings, accidental shootings and suicides. There is not one solution to reducing gun violence – we can’t eliminate it – but there are a lot of common-sense steps that we can take to significantly reduce the everyday tragedy of gun violence and deaths,” said Linsky…

…“I have spoken with hundreds of people over the past few weeks in developing this legislation – victims, police officers, criminologists, physicians, and yes – gun owners and sportsmen,” stated Linsky. “There are a lot of good ideas out there. We should all have one goal – reducing gun violence and trying to keep more tragedies from happening.”

Provisions in the bill include:

Having one standard of the issuance of all gun licenses, giving local police chiefs the ability to evaluate all aspects of an application for a gun license.

Requires proof of liability insurance for possession of a firearm, rifle or shotgun.

Requires that all large capacity weapons and grandfathered assault weapons must be stored at gun clubs or target ranges.

Requires live shooting as part of the curriculum for a basic firearms safety course; this is not a current requirement.

Requires all applicants for gun licenses and FID cards to sign a waiver of mental health records for review to be destroyed after decision.

Imposes 25% sales tax on ammunition, firearms, shotguns, and rifles; dedicates funds towards firearms licensing, police training, mental health services, and victim’s services.

Brings Massachusetts into compliance with the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS).

Limits gun buyers to one firearm purchase per month.

LIAR Obama Promised to ‘Cut the Deficit in Half’ By the End of His First Term

Obama Promised to ‘Cut the Deficit in Half’ By the End of His First Term

- ”I refuse to leave our children a debt they cannot repay”
-”We cannot continue to spend as we please”

Obama 2009:

President Obama will announce Monday that he plans to cut the nation’s projected annual deficit in half by the end of his first term, a senior administration official said Saturday.

The plan will make explicit what Obama officials have been suggesting for months: Contrary to his campaign promise, Obama will allow the Bush tax cuts on the wealthiest Americans expire as scheduled at the end of 2010 instead of seeking their repeal sooner. Officials determined that seeking to raise the taxes earlier during a recession was a bad idea, advisers said.

Obama, who will speak Monday to a Fiscal Responsibility Summit at the White House, also will outline steps he is taking to eliminate what his staff calls “accounting gimmicks” used by previous administrations.

“This budget actually is going to assume that there will be a hurricane, tornado, earthquake, flood or manmade disaster in the United States in fiscal year 2010, and each year going forward 10 years,” the official said. “The Bush budget never assumed that.”

Under White House projections, this year’s inherited budget deficit of $1.3 trillion will be cut to $533 billion by fiscal year 2013, the end of the first term.

“So we’ll cut it at least in half,” the official said.

Bill Clinton Warns that “Many Democratic Lawmakers will be Defeated if they Choose to Stand” with Obama for Gun Control

At a gathering of top Democratic donors, former President Bill Clinton issued a warning today that President Obama’s Gun Control push could very well cost some Democrats in Congress their jobs in 2014 – if they choose to vote with Obama:

Bill Clinton warned a group of top Democratic donors at a private Saturday meeting not to underestimate the passions that gun control stirs among many Americans.

“Do not patronize the passionate supporters of your opponents by looking down your nose at them,” Clinton said.

“A lot of these people live in a world very different from the world lived in by the people proposing these things,” Clinton said. “I know because I come from this world. . . .

And Clinton said that passing the 1994 federal assault weapons ban “devastated” more than a dozen Democratic lawmakers in the 1994 midterms — and cost then-Speaker of the House Tom Foley (D-Wash.) his job and his seat in Congress. . . .

Clinton closed his remarks with a warning to big Democratic donors that ultimately many Democratic lawmakers will be defeated if they choose to stand with the president. “Do not be self-congratulatory about how brave you for being for this” gun control push, he said. “The only brave people are the people who are going to lose their jobs if they vote with you.”

Danny Glover: Second Amendment was Created to Prevent Slave Revolts and Indian Uprisings

Danny Glover told Texas A&M students Thursday that the Second Amendment was created to prevent slave revolts and Indian uprisings.

The Constitution’s Second Amendment was created to bolster slavery and capture land from Native Americans, award winning actor Danny Glover told a group of students at a Texas A&M sponsored event on Thursday.

“I don’t know if you know the genesis of the right to bear arms,” he said. “The Second Amendment comes from the right to protect themselves from slave revolts, and from uprisings by Native Americans.”

“A revolt from people who were stolen from their land or revolt from people whose land was stolen from, that’s what the genesis of the second amendment is,” he continued.

Glover, best known for roles in the “Lethal Weapon” franchise and “Angels in the Outfield,” was addressing students at an event being held in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Director of Texas A&M’s Memorial Student Center, Luke Altendorf, told Campus Reform on Friday that the university was unaware of Glover’ talking points prior to his speech.

Chicago Alderman Wants GPS Tracking Devices On All Guns

Chicago Alderman Wants GPS Tracking Devices On All Guns…

Chicago CBS

A South Side alderman is asking for City Council hearings on an unorthodox gun control measure that would allow for GPS tracking of firearms.

WBBM Newsradio Political Editor Craig Dellimore reports Ald. Willie Cochran (20th), a former police officer, has suggested that global positioning system chips be embedded in new guns, and retrofitted on existing firearms, so they could be located if they go missing.

“Just like if your car gets stolen, OnStar can tell you where your car is. If your gun gets stolen, and you report it, we should be able to find that gun,” he said.

Cochran has introduced a resolution asking the Committee on Public Safety to hold hearings to receive testimony on the matter. A Massachusetts state senator from Boston has been pushing a similar measure in that state.

Cochran acknowledged it might be expensive to install GPS chips on current and future firearms, but not as expensive as the cost of gun violence to society.

“Let’s measure what it costs in hospital costs, lost wages, deaths,” he said.

More Left Agenda Pushing....Obama And Biden To Tour The Country To Rally Support For Gun Crackdown - Guess Obama Hates To be with Michelle

Obama And Biden To Tour The Country To Rally Support For Gun Crackdown

Politico

Vice President Biden said he and President Obama will tour the country making the case for gun control laws – the centerpiece of which is a requirement that all gun buyers submit to a federal background check.

Biden, speaking to the U.S. Conference of Mayors, devoted the heart of his remarks to pushing the background check requirement twinned with pleas that state and federal governments share their information on prospective gun purchasers.

Obama has already begun recruiting supporters on the gun issue through both his campaign apparatus — which e-mailed supporters Thursday asking them to “stand with the president to reduce gun violence,” and the official Web site, but Biden’s remarks at the Capitol Hilton mark the first declaration that the White House plans to barnstorm to build support for its gun proposals.

“We’re going to take this fight to the halls of Congress, Biden said. “We’re going to take it beyond that. We’re going to take it to the American people. We’re going to go around the country making our case and we’re going to let the voices, the voices of the American people be heard.”

Obama Gun Plan to Cost $500 Million

Obama Gun Plan to Cost $500 Million

Braced for a fight, President Barack Obama on Wednesday unveiled the most sweeping proposals for curbing gun violence in two decades, pressing a reluctant Congress to pass universal background checks and bans on military-style assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines like the ones used in the Newtown, Conn., school shooting.

A month after that horrific massacre, Obama also used his presidential powers to enact 23 measures that don't require the backing of lawmakers. The president's executive actions include ordering federal agencies to make more data available for background checks, appointing a director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and directing the Centers for Disease Control to research gun violence.

But the president, speaking at White House ceremony, focused his attention on the divided Congress, saying only lawmakers could enact the most effective measures for preventing more mass shootings.

"To make a real and lasting difference, Congress must act," Obama said. "And Congress must act soon."

The president vowed to use "whatever weight this office holds" to press lawmakers into action on his $500 million plan. He is also calling for improvements in school safety, including putting 1,000 police officers in schools and bolstering mental health care by training more health professionals to deal with young people who may be at risk.

Even supportive lawmakers say the president's gun control proposals — most of which are opposed by the powerful National Rifle Association — face long odds on Capitol Hill.

House Speaker John Boehner's office was non-committal to the president's package of proposed legislation, but signaled no urgency to act. "House committees of jurisdiction will review these recommendations," Boehner spokesman Michael Steel said. "And if the Senate passes a bill, we will also take a look at that."

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy said ahead of Obama's presentation that he didn't know whether an assault weapons ban could pass the Senate, but said there are some measures that can, such as improved background checks.

"There are some who say nothing will pass. I disagree with that," Leahy, D-Vt., told students at Georgetown University Law Center. "What I'm interested in is what we can get."

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., called Obama's package "thoughtful recommendations" and said the Senate would consider legislation addressing gun violence early this year.

"The tragedy at Sandy Hook was just the latest sad reminder that we are not doing enough to protect our citizens - especially our children - from gun violence and a culture of violence, and all options should be on the table moving forward," he said.

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus dismissed Obama's measures as "an executive power grab."

"He paid lip service to our fundamental constitutional rights," Priebus said of the president, "but took actions that disregard the Second Amendment and the legislative process."

Acknowledging the tough fight ahead, Obama said there will be pundits, politicians and special interest groups that will seek to "gin up fear" that the White House wants to take away the right to own a gun.

"Behind the scenes, they'll do everything they can to block any commonsense reform and make sure nothing changes whatsoever," he said. "The only way we will be able to change is if their audience, their constituents, their membership says this time must be different, that this time we must do something to protect our communities and our kids."

The president was flanked by children who wrote him letters about gun violence in the weeks following the Newtown shooting. Families of those killed in the massacre, as well as survivors of the shooting, were also in the audience, along with law enforcement officers and congressional lawmakers.

"This is our first task as a society, keeping our children safe," Obama said. "This is how we will be judged."

Seeking to expand the impetus for addressing gun violence beyond the Newtown shooting, the president said more than 900 Americans have been killed by guns in the month since the elementary school massacre.

"Every day we wait, the number will keep growing," he said.

The White House has signaled that Obama could launch a campaign to boost public support for his proposals. Nearly six in 10 Americans want stricter gun laws in the aftermath of the Newtown shooting, with majorities favoring a nationwide ban on military-style, rapid-fire weapons and limits on gun violence depicted in video games, movies and TV shows, according to a new Associated Press-GfK poll.

A lopsided 84 percent of adults would like to see the establishment of a federal standard for background checks for people buying guns at gun shows, the poll showed.

The president based his proposals on recommendations from an administration-wide task force led by Vice President Joe Biden. His plan marks the most comprehensive effort to address gun violence since Congress passed the 1994 ban on high-grade, military-style assault weapons. The ban expired in 2004, and Obama wants lawmakers to renew and expand it.

Other measures Obama wants Congress to take up include limiting high-capacity ammunition magazines and requiring background checks for all gun buyers in an attempt to close the so-called "gun-show loophole" that allows people to buy guns at trade shows and over the Internet without submitting to background checks.

Obama also intends to seek confirmation for B. Todd Jones, who has served as acting director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives since 2011.

The president's plan does little to address violent images in video games, movies and entertainment, beyond asking the CDC to study their impact on gun crimes. Some pro-gun lawmakers who are open to addressing stricter arms legislation have insisted they would do so only in tandem with recommendations for addressing violence in entertainment.

The president's long list of executive orders also include:

— Ordering tougher penalties for people who lie on background checks and requiring federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background check system.

— Ending limits that make it more difficult for the government to research gun violence, such as gathering data on guns that fall into criminal hands.

— Requiring federal law enforcement to trace guns recovered in criminal investigations.

— Giving schools flexibility to use federal grant money to improve school safety, such as by hiring school resource officers.

— Giving communities grants to institute programs to keep guns away from people who shouldn't have them.

Texas Gov. Perry: The Piling on by Political Left to Use Massacre of Children to Advance Political Agenda Disgusts Me

Barack Obama used children in his presentation today to push his pre-existing political agenda to crack down on gun owners.

Governor Rick Perry let the Democrats have it today after Barack Obama’s press conference on guns.
“It disgusts me, personally.”
Texas Governor Rick Perry released this statement today on President Obama’s executive actions on guns.

“The Vice President’s committee was appointed in response to the tragedy at Newtown, but very few of his recommendations have anything to do with what happened there.

“Guns require a finger to pull the trigger. The sad young man who did that in Newtown was clearly haunted by demons and no gun law could have saved the children in Sandy Hook Elementary from his terror.

“There is evil prowling in the world – it shows up in our movies, video games and online fascinations, and finds its way into vulnerable hearts and minds. As a free people, let us choose what kind of people we will be. Laws, the only redoubt of secularism, will not suffice. Let us all return to our places of worship and pray for help. Above all, let us pray for our children.

“In fact, the piling on by the political left, and their cohorts in the media, to use the massacre of little children to advance a pre-existing political agenda that would not have saved those children, disgusts me, personally. The second amendment to the Constitution is a basic right of free people and cannot be nor will it be abridged by the executive power of this or any other president.”

DHS to 'Expand and Formalize Coordination' on Gun Control Efforts

Weekly Standard

Janet Napolitano, head of the Department of Homeland Security, released a statement Wednesday saying she is "proud to support" the Obama administration's efforts to "combat gun violence in our country." Here's more from Napolitano's statement:

In the aftermath of the tragic Newtown shooting, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), together with the Department of Justice (DOJ), and the FBI have worked to identify measures that could be taken to reduce the risk of mass casualty shootings. In the coming days, DHS will expand and formalize coordination of ongoing efforts intended to prevent future mass casualty shootings, improve preparedness, and to strengthen security and resilience in schools and other potential targets. DHS will work with partners at all levels of government, to address five critical areas intended to reduce the risk of mass casualty shootings in the United States: Prevention, Protection, Response, Education, and Research/Evaluation. DHS will also work with law enforcement to refresh, expand and prioritize the implementation of nationwide public awareness efforts such as the “If You See Something, Say Something™” campaign. This is a critical issue that requires immediate attention and I look forward to supporting the President and this Administration as we move ahead.

Today Tyrant and Dictator Obama to announce most expansive gun-control agenda in generations

Obama to announce most expansive gun-control agenda in generations

Obama on Wednesday will formally announce the most aggressive and expansive national gun-control agenda in generations as he presses Congress to mandate background checks for all firearms buyers and prohibit assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition clips.

The announcement will set off a fierce confrontation with Congress over an issue that has riven American society for decades. Obama’s far-reaching firearms agenda has at best tepid support from his party leaders and puts him at loggerheads with Democratic centrists.

Obama will begin this effort Wednesday in the presence of children who wrote him letters after last month’s mass shooting at a grade school in Newtown, Conn., and who have been invited to Washington to attend the rollout.

In addition to background checks and restrictions on military-style guns and ammunition magazines, Obama is expected to propose mental health and school safety initiatives such as more federal funding for police officers in schools, according to lawmakers and interest group leaders whom White House officials briefed on the plans.

Bruce Reed, Vice President Biden’s chief of staff, told liberal activists late Tuesday that Obama’s package would also include a federal gun trafficking measure to stop straw-man purchases and crack down on trafficking rings after a number of mayors raised the issue, said a person familiar with the plan.

Obama also is expected to present up to 19 executive actions that his administration will take, the lawmakers and advocates said. These steps include enhanced federal scientific research on gun violence and a modernized federal database system to track guns, criminals and the mentally ill.

I wish there would be some democrats that would lead an impeachment of Obama. The thing is if a Republican does it, it will go nowhere fast. They will be called racist etc. and it has nothing to do with race.

PETA Wants Obama To Include Hunting Ban In His Anti-Gun Measures

Washington Examiner

Wondering if the administration is “against senseless violence and slaughter, or it isn’t,” People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is making an 11th hour pitch to President Obama to include a hunting ban in his gun control measures to be unveiled Wednesday.

“Americans’ views are evolving on many issues, from same-sex marriage to gun control, and the time is right to reconsider the dangerous message that the practice of killing animals for fun is acceptable and should even be protected,” Tracy Reiman, PETA’s executive vice president said in a letter to Obama.

The animal rights group is angered that Vice President Biden has been calling hunting “responsible” gun ownership.

Obama Campaign (socialists )Staffers Left Unemployed And Without Health Insurance, Not Invited To Inaugural Festivities

Obama Campaign Staffers Left Unemployed And Without Health Insurance, Not Invited To Inaugural Festivities

Buzz Feed

In a sour footnote to President Barack Obama’s sweeping electoral victory last November, many of his campaign staffers have been shut out of the inaugural festivities, more than a dozen of them complained to BuzzFeed Monday.

“We worked our butts off, and I’m going to watch it on TV instead of being there,” said one former staffer. “It’s a huge bummer.”

Former staffers — who spoke to BuzzFeed on the condition of anonymity to preserve their relationships, and possible jobs, in Obama’s second term — say they have grown frustrated by what they see as inadequate communication from the Presidential Inaugural Committee, the group responsible for the inaugural balls, and in particular by its restrictions on access to the official events.

“I didn’t hear anything from PIC until a little more than a week ago,” said another staffer. “They knew this was happening. Instead of giving us details [of what we could attend] on November 7th, we found out so late that it would cost me $2,000 to go to Washington for a weekend as opposed to $1,000 or less if I booked two months ago.” [...]

Claims that they were snubbed have consumed the conversation on the Obama campaign alumni LinkedIn group, said the first staffer.

Obama staffers were paid substantially less than Romney staffers in similar jobs in 2012, and many took pay cuts of $30,000-range from prior jobs, former staffers say. The final payday for staffers was the Friday after the election, as opposed to weeks later for the Republican campaign; health insurance was cut off in November as well.

Many remain unemployed.

Dictator TYRANT Obama Readies 19 Executive Actions on Gun Controls

Obama Readies 19 Executive Actions on Gun Controls

The White House has identified 19 executive actions for President Barack Obama to move unilaterally on gun control, Vice President Joe Biden told a group of House Democrats on Monday, the administration’s first definitive statements about its response to last month’s mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Later this week, Obama will formally announce his proposals to reduce gun violence, which are expected to include renewal of the assault weapons ban, universal background checks and prohibition of high-capacity magazine clips. But Biden, who has been leading Obama’s task force on the response, spent two hours briefing a small group of sympathetic House Democrats on the road ahead in the latest White House outreach to invested groups.

The focus on executive orders is the result of the White House and other Democrats acknowledging the political difficulty of enacting any new gun legislation, a topic Biden did not address in Monday’s meeting.

The executive actions could include giving the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention authority to conduct national research on guns, more aggressive enforcement of existing gun laws and pushing for wider sharing of existing gun databases among federal and state agencies, members of Congress in the meeting said.

Charles Krauthammer: Obama Presser Comments Essentially 'Libel'

Krauthammer: Obama Presser Comments Essentially 'Libel'

KRAUTHAMMER: The tone of this address was quite remarkable. He talked about Republicans being suspicious of Social Security and Medicare by the oldest saw that you could hear.

And then he added -- and suspicious of the government's role in making sure that impoverished children get food. Now that's a little bit over the top. That's essentially libel. And then he said 'Oh yes, I love hanging out at a Congressional picnics with these people who want to starve America's children.' Interesting invitation. And then he did this thing, he went over and over on the debt ceiling. He must have gone through the same idea 15 times, and saying this is about honoring our obligations, paying the bills we have already incurred.

But what he said seven years ago as a Senator was that raising the debt ceiling is how 'we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our government's reckless fiscal policies.' The point of raising the debt ceiling is to allow to us to continue to borrow, that's the essence of what it's about. He talked about the debt ceiling a dozen times. Not once did he use the word 'borrow.' And what it means is we are going to continue to borrow for every dollar the government spends, only 60 cents of it come from our taxes. The rest, 40%, is borrowed money. And the reason that the Republicans are objecting, is to say we have to start to reduce the 40 cents. And he's pretending as if, if you even think about that, you are destroying the credit of the United States of America.

Levin Blasts 'Imperial President' Obama: 'He's Arrogant as Hell!'

"I’m not into imperial presidents who act imperial and speak imperial and Obama forgets there’s a Constitution. Yeah he keeps telling us he won reelection. Congratulations. But guess what, the Constitution wasn’t up for election. It’s not up for a plebiscite or a referendum. He has to comply with it too. He was sent back to Washington but he’s got a strict list of rules that he has to follow as president.

"So when he gets up there and he starts saying ‘if Congress doesn’t do this, I’m gonna do this unilaterally’, it violates separation of powers a lot of the times. And this is a man who’s been pushing the edge of the envelope as far as I’m concerned whether it’s the appointment clause, whether it’s his unilateral action on immigration, whether it’s his trashing the commerce clause and the tax clauses on Obamacare. Now they’re talking about executive orders on the 2nd amendment, they’ve issued regulations on the first amendment attacking religious liberty – this notion that he might be able to lift the debt ceiling unilaterally under the 14th amendment – what the hell is this? He was elected president, congratulations. This guy makes Richard Nixon look like a man who followed the law all the time.

"I think we have an imperial president. He sounds imperial, he’s arrogant as hell. And so I’m furious about this and I’m gonna tell you why.

"We are a magnificent country. We don’t need to be turned upside down, we don’t need to run from crisis to crisis to crisis. He’s bankrupting this country.

"He says we’ve had a discussion about the debt. When did we have a discussion about the debt? We’ve had a debate about taxes. The man’s never around to have a discussion about anything. So yes, he causes me to be furious when I watch him and listen to him!"

Texas GOP Rep. Steve Stockman Warns President Obama He will “File Articles of Impeachment” if He Uses Executive Orders to Force Gun Control

The Daily Caller

Texas GOP Rep. Steve Stockman warned President Obama today that if he seeks to force new gun control on the American people with Executive Orders, he would file articles of Impeachment against him in the U.S. House of Representatives:

Texas Republican Rep. Steve Stockman threatened Monday afternoon that he would file articles of impeachment against President Barack Obama if he institutes gun control measures with an executive order.

Stockman warned that such executive orders would be “unconstitutional” and “infringe on our constitutionally-protected right to keep and bear arms.”

“I will seek to thwart this action by any means necessary, including but not limited to eliminating funding for implementation, defunding the White House, and even filing articles of impeachment,” Stockman said in a statement.

The freshman congressman, who served one term in Congress in the mid-1990s, further labeled the possibility “an existential threat to this nation” because, he said, the purpose of the Second Amendment is to allow the people to protect themselves from tyranny.

“Any proposal to abuse executive power and infringe upon gun rights must be repelled with the stiffest legislative force possible,” he added. “Under no circumstances whatsoever may the government take any action that disarms any peaceable person — much less without due process through an executive declaration without a vote of Congress or a ruling of a court.”

He concluded by claiming that an executive order would be not just “not just an attack on the Constitution,” but also an “attack on Americans.”

“If the president is allowed to suspend constitutional rights on his own personal whims, our free republic has effectively ceased to exist,” he said.

Contractors Bolt Amid Defense Cuts

Contractors Bolt Amid Defense Cuts......
Looming defense cuts had uneasy contractors leaving industry long before budget crisis

FOX News

As Defense Secretary Panetta announces Pentagon will take steps to freeze hiring and delay contracts if Congress fails to reach deal to avert massive budget cuts, contractors look to more stable industries.

he announcement that the Pentagon would scale back defense contracting amid massive budget cuts was unsettling but expected news for some contractors who have already left the industry amid the uncertainty that has loomed over them for nearly 18 months.

Retired Gen. Lawrence Ferrell, president of National Defense Industry Association, said after the announcement Thursday that some contract companies are already moving into more stable industries and that the uncertainty is having a withering effect on those who remain because they cannot take out loans and layoffs are taking the place of hires.

“They’re losing good people whom they likely won’t get back,” he told FoxNews.com. “And with them goes the cutting-edge expertise.”

Ferrell's comments followed Defense Secretary Leon Panetta saying the Pentagon will begin taking steps to freeze civilian hiring, delay some contract awards and curtail some maintenance to prepare for the drastic budget cuts, should Congress fail to reach a deal when members return later this month to Capitol Hill.

The automatic cuts are known as sequester – a law that took effect in summer 2011 after Congress failed to find a more measured way to cut federal spending. The White House and Congress tried unsuccessfully after the November elections to reach a deal, but instead agreed to a two-month extension.

Ferrell said Panetta was simply trying to “take preventive action” and position himself for the worse.

“Again, the real question is what will be the impact of the delays,” he said.

Panetta said the fiscal uncertainty also poses a “serious threat to national security."

The Pentagon is facing a spending reduction of nearly $500 billion over a decade, should Congress fail to reach a deal. And an additional $110 billion in automatic spending cuts to military and domestic programs will take effect in early March if no agreement is reached.

At the same time, Congress has not passed the 2013 defense department budget proposed last year by the Pentagon, instead approving spending equal to the fiscal 2012 levels.

As a result, the Pentagon will likely have to find an almost immediate $40 billion in savings should Congress fails to pass a new budget or avoid the automatic cuts.

“We know that even if sequestration doesn’t happen, defense will have to cut billions," Farrell said.

He and his group are not alone in their bleak assessment.

Last month, leaders of similar groups made similar predictions at a symposium at the National Press Club in Washington.

Dawne S. Hickton, president and CEO of RTI International Metals Inc., said the automatic spending cuts would curtail progress on programs that have been years in the making.

"What we’re manufacturing in our plants today is going in a military program two or three years down the road," she said, according to The Washington Times.

Ferrell said his concerns extend beyond the defense industry and sequester to include the entire economy and the country, should Washington continue to fail to reach more long-term solutions.

“We might not have a defense department or a defense budget,” he said. “We have to fix this.”

Teacher Forced To Remove Reagan Quotes From Classroom

Teacher Forced To Remove Reagan Quotes From Classroom

FOX News

A New York public school teacher who advised a school Bible Study club has filed a civil rights lawsuit against her school district after she was forced to remove all religious content from her classroom — including a quote from former President Ronald Reagan.

Joelle Silver, a veteran teacher in the Cheektowaga Central School District in western New York, said she received a “counseling letter” signed by her superintendent that ordered her to remove all religious-themed items from her classroom or else she could be fired.

The eight-page letter informed the teacher that “your rights to free speech and expression are not as broad as if your were simply a private citizen.”

Among the items that had to be removed were a poster with an inspirational Bible verse superimposed over an American flag and inspirational messages she had written on sticky notes kept on her desk, according to court documents obtained by Fox News.

The school district also ordered her to remove a quote from former President Ronald Reagan which read in part — “If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a Nation gone under.”

Obama To Proceed With Arming Muslim Brotherhood-Ruled Egypt With F-16s And M1A1 Abrams Tanks Despite GOP Opposition

Egypt Independent

Egypt’s negotiations with the US to acquire F-16 aircraft and M1A1 Abrams tanks are proceeding smoothly, a senior Egyptian military source has said.

The source added that the negotiations are proceeding regardless of statements made by political opponents of US President Barack Obama, in what may have been an oblique reference to calls by US Congressman Vern Buchanan for the suspension of this deal over what he described as the “dictatorship of President Mohamed Morsy.”

He also said that news about fresh military assistance or deals always sparks controversies, which tend to subside when the deals are concluded. He alleged that those Congressmen or officials who oppose supplies of advanced weaponry to the Egyptian army belong to the pro-Israel camp.

He added that demands made by some Congressmen to stop weapon deals with Egypt are motivated by electoral interests, adding, however, that the US administration does not take into account the opinions of voters when it makes assistance deals because such deals are connected to higher strategic interests.

Colin Powell: The GOP Has ‘a Dark Vein of Intolerance’

While continuing to identify as a Republican, former Secretary of State Colin Powell on Sunday criticized the GOP for a series of racist attacks against President Barack Obama.

“There’s also a dark vein of intolerance in some parts of the party,” Powell said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “What do I mean by that? What I mean by that is they still sort of look down on minorities.”

Powell, who endorsed Obama, pointed to a number of statements that were directed at Obama as evidence that there is still racism within the party.

“When I see a former governor say that the president is ‘shuckin’ and jivin’.’ That’s a racial-era slave term,” Powell said, referring to former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin using the term to describe Obama’s response to the attacks in Libya.

Powell also pointed to former New Hampshire Gov. John Sununu, who was an aggressive surrogate for Mitt Romney, for calling Obama “lazy” after the first debate during the campaign.

“He didn’t say he was slow, he was tired, he didn’t do well; he said he was ‘lazy,’” Powell said “Now, it may not mean anything to most Americans, but to those of us who are African Americans, the second word is “shiftless,” and then there’s a third word that goes along with it.”

Powell also eschewed the “birther movement.”

“The whole birther movement: Why do senior Republican leaders tolerate this kind of discussion within the party?” Powell asked. “I think the party has to take a look at itself.”

“You could say that the economic climate that has allowed (Texas) to grow and create jobs, he’d dearly love to be able to stand up and say, ‘We did this in New York.’ But he can’t.”

Perry also said Cuomo, “if he were truthful” would admit that he’d want to be a Texan.

2,053 troops have died in Afghanistan since October 2001, 1,484 under Obama

Barack Obama said U.S. and coalition forces in Afghanistan will adopt a “support role” starting in the spring of 2013, to allow Afghan police and soldiers to take full responsibility of the country’s security, a nation where 2,053 American soldiers have died since the war started on Oct. 7, 2001.

Seventy-two percent of those casualties occurred during Obama’s first term.

“And today we agreed, as Afghan forces take the lead and as President Karzai announces the final phase of the transition, coalition forces will move to a support role this spring,” Obama said Friday at the White House, alongside Afghan President Hamid Karzai.

“Our troops will continue to fight alongside Afghans when needed but let me say it as plainly as I can: Starting this spriObama added that there will still be a U.S. presence in Afghanistan beyond 2014, but the mission of U.S. and coalition troops will begin to shift by the spring of this year.

Last year, 296 U.S. soldiers of all military branches gave their lives in Afghanistan, bringing the total number of fallen soldiers in Afghanistan to 2,053, according to CNSNews.com’s war casualties database. (That is the total as of Jan. 11, 2013, when this story was posted. So far, the Department of Defense has reported no new casualties in 2013.)

For the total 2,053 fallen troops in Afghanistan since the United States began military operations in October 2001, 1,484 have died during the Obama administration, meaning approximately 72 percent of U.S. casualties in Afghanistan have occurred during President Obama’s first term.

More Idiot Teachers....Teachers Of Occupy Oakland Calling For Abolition of Capitalism

Teachers Of Occupy Oakland Calling For Abolition of Capitalism

Townhall

At least the teachers of Occupy Oakland are finally being honest about their political agenda.

They’re openly calling for an all-out abolition of capitalism.

The Occupy Oakland Education Committee – comprised of public school teachers from the Oakland, California school district – has renamed its publication “ClassRoom Struggle” and its platform TEACH, which stands for “Transform Education, Abolish Capitalism and Heal.”

Finally the radical teachers have acknowledged what we’ve been saying all along: they want to end capitalism and replace it with a socialist economy, quite possibly enforced by a totalitarian form of government.

And what, precisely, is their strategy? They tell us that goal number one is to abolish “capitalist schools.”

“What we are calling to abolish is not education but rather capitalism,” the group wrote in a statement. “We see the struggle to abolish capitalist schools as one place where we can begin to chip away at capitalism’s grasp on our society. Capitalist tendencies run deep into the structure and politics of schools.

Operated the proper way, these schools have a great deal of potential for left-wing causes, according to the Oakland group.

“While public schools have served a role in developing white supremacist, capitalist and imperialist ideology and social structure (for example through segregated schools, tracked programs, mandated pledge of allegiance, etc.), they have also been key sites of struggle and served as assets for movements of working class students of color and other youth struggles,” the group wrote.

Wild Thing's comment....................

There are some good teachers, but in general it sure seems most are only pushing the Obama agenda and the distorted facts from the left.

North Texas soon will be home to a one-of-a-kind gun range Luxurious Frisco gun club

Luxurious Frisco gun club

WFAA Dallas Fort Worth

As the nation looks to crack down on guns, many Texans are embracing their rights.

North Texas soon will be home to a one-of-a-kind gun range. The Frisco Gun Club is being built on El Dorado Parkway near the Dallas North Tollway. It’s designed for the affluent.

Darren Beck lives in Frisco. When he wants to take some target practice with his rifle, he drives to the closest range, about 16 miles away, in East Plano. Beck is one of the first people to sign up for the club.

"There's no reason a shooting range has to be dark and dingy," Beck said. "Why can't it be nice and airy?"

In artist renderings, the outside of the facility looks more like a country club than a shooting range. Indoors, it will have a 40 lane gun range, a retail store, on-site gunsmiths, a cafe, and training room for concealed handgun classes.

"We just think if you want to appeal to an affluent audience or affluent demographic, like Frisco, people would like to come into a place that's just nice," said Christian Putnam, the club’s Chief Executive Officer.

VIP club members, who pay a premium price, will have a private dining area with an outdoor patio, fireplace, and even more amenities.

"It's more like going to Neiman Marcus than going to a no-frills gun store," Putnam said.

The Frisco Gun Club isn't the first business to pull the trigger into luxury shooting ranges with the latest technology, including state-of-the-art ventilation. It follows the Athena Gun Club in Houston, the Scottsdale Gun Club in Arizona, and the Colonial Shooting Academy in Richmond, Virginia.

So far, there's been no public opposition to the $9 million club. One of the largest anti-gun organizations in the country, the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, said they're okay with the concept.

"If people want to enjoy shooting in a nice, safe place, God bless them," said Coalition spokesman Tad Everett. "But, if they're stockpiling assault weapons in their home, that's another issue."

But with recent deadly mass shootings in Colorado and Connecticut, the gun control debate is once again in the public psyche. However shooting enthusiasts, like Darren Beck, doubt it will impact the Frisco project.

"To me, the gun range can only make it better," Beck said. "Any time you can get gun owners out there practicing and learning and experiencing what happens with their guns, that's only going to lead to more safety."

Gun enthusiast Ron Weber agrees.

"Words on a page are not going to stop a predator or somebody with a mental defect," Weber said. "All it does is prevent law-abiding citizens the opportunity to defend themselves."

Gun club executives say they would rather leave the gun control debate to the National Rifle Association. They say this project is all about luxury and entertainment.

Wild Thing's comment.....................

Good and I hope more and more gun clubs open and more and more guns are sold and ammo and Obama can go jump in a shallow lake.

The Internal Revenue Service warned employers in a new regulatory proposal not to come up with clever schemes to avoid Obamacare’s employer health insurance mandate.

The IRS said it would soon issue “anti-abuse rules” to discourage employers from taking advantage of any regulatory loopholes.

“The Treasury Department and the IRS are aware of various structures being considered under which employers might use temporary staffing agencies (or other staffing agencies)… to evade application of section 4980H [the employer insurance mandate],” the IRS said in a proposed regulatory announcement issued December 28.

The IRS said it would issue a so-called “anti-abuse rule” in an attempt to prevent employers from using temp agencies to circumvent the mandate, essentially writing into law that even though an employer hires temporary workers and therefore is not technically under the mandate’s jurisdiction, the IRS would fine them anyway for not providing health insurance.

“It is anticipated that the final regulations will contain an anti-abuse rule,” the agency said. “Under that anticipated rule, if an individual performs services as an employee of an employer, and also performs the same or similar services for that employer in the individual’s purported employment at a temporary staffing agency or other staffing agency of which the employer is a client, then all the hours of service are attributed to the employer for purposes of applying section 4980H.”

In other words, if an employer hires someone part-time, then uses an employment agency to bring the same person on for a second part-time shift, the IRS will still hold the employer liable under the ObamaCare mandate.

Similarly, IRS said that if an employer hires the same person for two part-time stints by using two different employment agencies, it will hold either the employer or one of the employment agencies liable for the mandate’s penalties.

The issue stems from the employer health insurance mandate in Obamacare, which requires employers with 50 or more full-time employees to provide government-approved, affordable health insurance to at least 95 percent of their employees (and dependents).

If any of those employees receives government health insurance subsidies, the IRS will fine the employer up to $2,000 per employee, according to a formula outlined by the IRS.

The warning is part of proposed regulations from the IRS outlining how employers must determine whether they meet the 50 full-time-employee threshold and whether the insurance they offer meets government standards.

The IRS said that a full-time employee is one who works an average of 30 hours per week or 130 hours per month, roughly 6 hours of paid service per weekday.

The IRS also said that in order for an employer’s health insurance plan to pass muster with the government, it must be available to 95 percent of employees and cost no more than 9.5 percent of an employee’s wages.

The agency specified that employers could still fall under the mandate if they employ enough part-time workers to equal 50 full-time workers. For example, if an employer has 40 full-time workers and 20 part-time workers, that employer would be considered by the government to have 50 full-time workers and would be subject to the mandate because the 20 part-time workers average to 10 full-time workers – meeting the 50 full-time-worker threshold.

Dictator Bloomberg to Restrict Pain Pills at Hospitals

BLOOMBERG TO RESTRICT PAIN PILLS AT HOSPITALS!

Source

Yesterday, Mayor Michael Bloomberg and city officials unveiled a new initiative to limit supplies of prescription painkillers in the city’s emergency rooms as a way to combat what they described as a growing addiction problem in the region. Some critics, as documented by The New York Times, however, felt the move would unnecessarily hurt poor and uninsured patients who use emergency rooms as their primary care doctor. Needless to say, Mr. Bloomberg was not swayed by this line of argument.

“The city hospitals we control, so … we’re going to do it and we’re urging all of the other hospitals to do it, voluntary guidelines. Somebody said, oh, somebody wrote, ‘Oh then maybe there won’t be enough painkillers for the poor who use the emergency rooms as their primary care doctor,’” the mayor said on his weekly radio show with John Gambling. “Number one, there’s no evidence of that. Number two, supposing it is really true, so you didn’t get enough painkillers and you did have to suffer a little bit. The other side of the coin is people are dying and there’s nothing perfect … There’s nothing that you can possibly do where somebody isn’t going to suffer, and it’s always the same group [claiming], ‘Everybody is heartless.’ Come on, this is a very big problem.”

In the same interview, Mr. Bloomberg stressed the initiative’s simple rationale is to prevent extra pills from piling up in the cabinets of New Yorkers who no longer need them, where they can pose a health risk if they’re abused.

“We talk about drugs, heroin and crack and marijuana, this is one of the big outbursts–and it’s a lot worse around the country than it is here. It’s kids and adults getting painkillers and using them for entertainment purposes, or whatever field of purposes, as opposed to what they are designed for,” he explained. “If you break a leg, you’re going to be in pain, nothing wrong with getting something that reduces the pain. But if you get 20 days worth of pills and you only need them three days, there’s 17 days sitting there. Invariably some of the kids are going to find them, or you’re going to take them and get you addicted.”

Mr. Bloomberg also argued the number of pain pills currently being prescribed had even contributed to an uptick in violent crimes outside of pharmacies from robbers looking to steal the drugs.

“You see there’s a lot more hold-ups of pharmacies, people getting held up as they walk out of pharmacies,” he explained. “What are they all about? They’re not trying to steal your shaving cream or toothpaste at the point of a gun. They want these drugs.”

Wild Thing's comment.....................

Frankly it does not matter what his reason is, this is all about being a control freak on his part. Bloomberg continues to be the dictator he is and there is nothing anyone can do about it other then vote him out. That won't happen since most of NY is liberal. Very sad for the minority of good people that live in the cesspool.

Reid To Obama: Screw Congress, Raise Debt Ceiling Yourself

FOX News

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and other top Democrats are putting new pressure on the White House to circumvent Congress to boost the nation’s debt ceiling if no bipartisan agreement can be reached.

In a strongly worded letter to President Barack Obama obtained by POLITICO, Reid and his leadership team argue that failing to raise the $16.4 trillion debt ceiling would threaten the full faith and credit of the United States. Reid and Sens. Dick Durbin, Chuck Schumer and Patty Murray asserted that Obama “must make clear that you will never allow our nation’s economy and reputation to be held hostage.”

“In the event that Republicans make good on their threat by failing to act, or by moving unilaterally to pass a debt limit extension only as part of an unbalanced or unreasonable legislation, we believe you must be willing to take any lawful steps to ensure that America does not break its promises and trigger a global economic crisis — without congressional approval, if necessary,” the Friday letter to Obama says.

LMAO....Gun parts store registers SenatorFeinstein.com, uses it to promote gun rights

Gun parts store registers SenatorFeinstein.com, uses it to promote gun rights

The Daily Caller

California Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein — a staunch supporter of gun control — may soon regret not registering her own domain name, since senatorfeinstein.com will now be run by a firearm parts and accessories store that will use the site to promote gun rights.

“COMING SOON! Senator Feinstein’s Biggest Fan Page,” reads the title of the new pro-gun site, senatorfeinstein.com. “Someone didnt [sic] register their own name… This should be fun. Thats right Dianne your biggest fan site is going to be run by AresArmor.com…”

The domain name was created by California resident Dimitrios Karras on Jan. 4, 2013, according to GoDaddy.com. Karros is the CEO of the gun parts and accessories store Ares Armor, which will now run the site.

“It’s funny,” Karras told the Daily Caller News Foundation, adding that his company was not very good at political correctness. “This is going to be an entertaining thing.”

Karras said that he was frustrated when he saw how Feinstein and other members of Congress managed the commenters that criticize them on their Facebook pages, and that he wanted to have platform where people could say whatever they wanted.

“[Feinstein's] got a big mouth on her, she thinks she’s pretty much the queen of the state. She almost thinks she’s the queen of the country,” he said.

“What we’re most likely going to do with this is, literally leave it open-ended,” Karras told TheDC News Foundation. “We’re going to put up a few posts and everything like that, but we’re not going to be moderating any of the comments. So it’s one of those things where people are going to be able say whatever the heck they want.”

“My thing is I may not agree with what people have to say, but I’m going to defend to the death their right to say it,” he said.

However, senatorfeinstein.com is not the only domain name Karras registered, telling TheDC that the next domain name to be released will be for California Sen. Barbara Boxer.

“She’s not the only one that we registered,” Karras said. “She’s just the first one that we’ve released.”

Feinstein — the author of the Assault Weapons Ban bill that expired in 2004 — has promised to introduce updated gun control legislation early this year, according to a statement.

Would I do this? No way. Not that it is illegal it isn't, but I would fight back in other ways. BUT I have to say I do love that someone did what this article says.

When a person has a domain name like the one for this blog, I have to make sure I do not let it run out, it costs money and if it ran out and I did not notice it fast enough I could be without it easily. Not fun at all if one is a blogger, but I doubt Feinstein will be upset about it except for what her domain name is being used for. hahahahahaha

Wyoming Tells Washington Gun Grabbers To Back The Hell Off

Wyoming Tells Washington Gun Grabbers To Back The Hell Off

Wyoming lawmakers propose bill to nullify new federal gun laws

Beltway Examiner

Wyoming lawmakers have proposed a new bill that, if passed, would nullify any federal restrictions on guns, threatening to jail federal agents attempting to confiscate guns, ammunition magazines or ammunition.

The bill – HB0104 – states that “any federal law which attempts to ban a semi-automatic firearm or to limit the size of a magazine of a firearm or other limitation on firearms in this state shall be unenforceable in Wyoming.”

The bill is sponsored by eight Wyoming state representatives ad two state senators. If passed, the bill would declare any federal gun regulation created on or after January 1, 2013 to be unenforceable within the state.

In addition, the bill states would charge federal officials attempting to enforce a federal gun law within the state with a felony – “subject to imprisonment for not more less than one (1) year and one (1) day or more than five (5) years, a fine of not more than two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) five thousand dollars ($5,000.00), or both.”

The bill also allows the Attorney General of Wyoming to defend a state citizen from any prosecution by the United States Government.

One of the bill’s co-sponsors, Wyoming State Senator Larry Hicks, told The Washington Examiner that this type of legislation sends a message to the federal government in Washington D.C.

“It says that your one size fits all solution doesn’t comport to what a vast majority of the state believes,” Hicks explained in an interview.

Citing the Tenth and the Second Amendments, Hicks asserted that the legislation was Constitutional, adding that he fully expected it to pass in the Wyoming state legislature. Hicks said that his Wyoming constituents were upset about the looming threat of gun control coming from Washington, particularly since Vice President Biden signaled yesterday that President Obama was willing to issue an executive order to tackle the gun issue.

“They are very, very upset that we’re going to see some level of federal takeover of our weapons and abuse of our rights given to us by the Second Amendment,” Hicks stated. “Also that the federal government will bypass our legislative officials and confiscate our weapons through executive order. This gives citizens of the Western United States a great deal of concern.”

Rep. Kendell Kroeker, the lawmaker that spearheaded the bill, explained that he hoped that the federal government would recognize their constitutional rights based on the Tenth and Second Amendments.

"I think that its necessary when the federal government violates our rights in the Constitution we have to act," he explained.

The proposed legislation has recieved a overwhelmingly positive response from their constituents, according to the bill's sponsors, even from citizens of other states.

Kroeker said that since he introduced the bill he has received up to 50 emails from constituents thanking him for standing up for their rights.

“Most of the feedback that I have received is very encouraging," explained State Rep. Mark Baker, a fellow co-sponsor. "Many citizens from other states have contacted me stating that they are envious of our state’s initiative."

Kroeker said that he currently owns several handguns, rifles, shotguns and an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle - the model targeted by gun control proponents.

"People in Washington tend to overreact," Kroeker said. "They try to place blame on gun owners punishing in the innocent to pay for the crimes of the guilty."

Hicks explained that the model of the bill was taken from a bill passed in the State of Montana in 2009 adding that it wasn’t much different from what he’d seen other states do.

“I don’t think this is controversial in Wyoming at all,” he added. “I fully expect this bill to pass.”

I sure hope all the States fight back if Obama does something about guns.

Joe Biden Task Force Eyeing 'Universal' Background Checks, Ammo Limits

Biden Task Force Eyeing 'Universal' Background Checks, Ammo Limits

FOX news

The National Rifle Association emerged from a meeting Thursday with Vice President Biden and accused his gun violence task force of leading an "attack" on the Second Amendment -- just hours after Biden gave a glimpse into the gun-control recommendations expected to hit the president's desk in a matter of days.

The vice president said earlier that "an emerging set of recommendations" focuses on launching "universal" background checks, restricting high-capacity magazines and allowing federal agencies to do more research on gun violence.

He revealed where the task force was headed a day after drawing outrage from Republican lawmakers by saying the administration might use "executive orders" to implement some policies. He said he plans to have the recommendations, which are not yet final, to President Obama by Tuesday.

But the NRA, after sitting down with Biden and other firearms groups Thursday afternoon, blasted the effort as primarily focused on restricting gun rights.

"We were disappointed with how little this meeting had to do with keeping our children safe and how much it had to do with an agenda to attack the Second Amendment," the group said in a written statement. "While claiming that no policy proposals would be 'prejudged,' this Task Force spent most of its time on proposed restrictions on lawful firearms owners -- honest, taxpaying, hardworking Americans.

"It is unfortunate that this administration continues to insist on pushing failed solutions to our nation's most pressing problems. We will not allow law-abiding gun owners to be blamed for the acts of criminals and madmen."

Aside from the NRA, Biden also met Thursday with sports groups like the Outdoor Industry Association and firearms groups like the National Association of Arms Shows. Attorney General Eric Holder and other Obama Cabinet secretaries were meeting as well with Walmart and several other sports retailers.

Biden said the list of possible recommendations so far includes a call for "universal background checks." He said this would include not just closing the so-called gun show loophole but imposing background checks for all transactions, including private sales.

He also said, "I've never heard quite as much about the need to do something about high-capacity magazines as I've heard spontaneously from every group that we've met with so far."

Biden planned to round out the day with a meeting Thursday evening with entertainment industry representatives. On Friday, he plans to meet representatives from the video game industry.

Still, much of the discussion, and proposals from Democratic members of Congress, continue to center around gun control.

Biden drew complaints from Republican lawmakers when he suggested Wednesday, while meeting with gun control groups, that the administration might go around Congress to implement some provisions.

"There are executive orders, executive action that can be taken," Biden said. He also said separate legislative action would be "required."

"Vice President Biden would do well to read the 2nd Amendment and revisit the meaning of the phrase 'shall not be infringed,'" Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., said in a statement. "Bypassing Congress to implement radical policies is never acceptable."

The White House and the NRA have found little common ground as the two groups craft separate responses to the tragedy.

The NRA, after staying silent for several days after the Connecticut school massacre, eventually called for a national school security plan to install armed officers at every school in the country. The White House, though, has suggested that plan would not be effective.

But the NRA and other firearms group say the same about proposed restrictions on certain weapons types, noting that assault weapons are not often used in the commission of violent crimes -- handguns are more common.

The Washington Post reported over the weekend that Obama was considering measures beyond reinstating a ban on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. According to the paper, the task force was considering measures like universal background checks for gun buyers, a national gun database, strengthening mental health checks and tougher penalties for people carrying guns near schools or giving them to minors.

Gun-advocacy groups, including Arizona for Gun Safety, the Brady Campaign, the Campaign to Keep Guns off Campus and Mayors Against Illegal Guns, attended a meeting with Biden Wednesday.

Dan Gross, president of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, after the meeting affirmed that administration officials "talked about ... their willingness to use executive action where that's appropriate."

American Express Co said it would cut about 5,400 jobs, mainly in its travel division, and would take about $600 million in after-tax charges in the fourth quarter, which will halve its net income for the period.

The company said some of the cuts would be offset by new hiring but expects to reduce its workforce 4 to 6 percent by the end of 2013. It currently employs 63,500 people.

We talked to the company that owns the Guthrie restaurant today, and it confirmed the cuts. Now, employees there aren't allowed to work more than 28 hours a week.

Obamacare Amendment Forbids Gun and Ammo Registration

Obamacare Amendment Forbids Gun and Ammo Registration

Big Government

Good news -- it has become known that hidden deep within the massive 2800-page bill called Obamacare there is a Senate Amendment protecting the right to keep and bear arms.

It seems that in their haste to cram socialized medicine down the throats of the American people, then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Barack Obama overlooked Senate amendment 3276, Sec. 2716, part c.

According to reports, that amendment says the government cannot use doctors to collect "any information relating to the lawful ownership or possession of a firearm or ammunition."

CNN is calling it "a gift to the nation's powerful gun lobby."

And according to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), that's exactly right. He says he added the provision in order to keep the NRA from getting involved in the legislative fight over Obamacare, which was so ubiquitous in 2010.

To you democrats that read this, Obama hates you, hates America, hates our Constitution, and his legacy will be one of hate. He continues to be the most hated president our country ever had and the worst president.

If Obama messes with our gun rights, then it would only be fair if every single Secret Service agent is pulled away from protecting not only all politicians but also Obama. Let him fend for himself and protect himself in the same way we would all have to do. The same for anyone that has bitched about guns, that uses protection services such as celebrities, businessmen/women etc. They can hire guards but the guards should not be allowed guns either. The guards or protection service can go and learn self defense in other forms and good luck jerks to one and all.

Level the field big time so to speak.

NYC Socialist Cesspool: 81% Voted For Barack Obama, Highest Percentage In 114 Years

Obama’s 81% New York City Support is Best in 114 Years

Bloomberg

Barack Obama’s support from New York City in the 2012 election was the highest recorded for a candidate in more than 100 years, according to a final tally of votes.

Obama beat Republican challenger Mitt Romney by 81 percent to 18 percent in the nation’s largest city, according to a certified vote count released Dec. 31 by the state board of elections. Some New York ballots were counted late in part because of complications caused by Hurricane Sandy.

Obama’s share of the vote is the best showing by a presidential nominee in New York since its five boroughs were consolidated in 1898, according to data compiled by Bloomberg from the state elections board and the 2005 books “America at the Polls” and “The Encyclopedia of New York State.”

The results underscore New York’s decades-long status as a Democratic bastion where most residents are racial and ethnic minorities. Of the city’s 8.2 million residents, 29 percent are Hispanic, 23 percent are non-Hispanic black and 13 percent are non-Hispanic Asian, according to 2011 estimates from the Census Bureau.

“Demographic shifts are permanently changing the political landscape,” said Bruce Berg, a political scientist at Fordham University in New York. Census data show New York “is a more minority city than it already was,” he said in a telephone interview.

National Cathedral in Washington Will Begin Holding Weddings For Same-Sex Couples

National Cathedral in Washington Will Begin Holding Weddings For Same-Sex Couples.

The Bishop has decided to allow weddings because same-sex marriage is legal in D.C.

CNN

When laws went into effect in three states for same-sex couples to marry, many were quick to line up at their city halls to exchange vows. Now they may do so in one of the nation’s most prominent churches — the Washington National Cathedral.

Most Americans know the house of God, also called the Cathedral Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, as a place where sacred rites are carried out on behalf of the nation. It has been host to the funerals of numerous presidents and of inaugural prayer services for four presidents, including Barack Obama.

But it is also an active house of worship in the Episcopalian Church, said the Cathedral’s dean, Gary Hall. The denomination has developed a blessing rite that mirrors current wedding ceremonies for heterosexual couples and allows each bishop to decide to allow same-sex marriages in their churches or not.

Bishop Mariann Budde decided to allow the rite, since same-sex marriage is legal in the District of Columbia and now in neighboring Maryland as well, Hall said.

It was Budde’s decision that led Hall to create the same-sex rite.

He sees it as “another historic step toward greater equality.”

The states of Washington, Maine and Maryland all legalized same-sex marriages in referendums during the 2012 general election. It was already legal in the nation's capital.

In March, the Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in two appeals cases related to same-sex marriage -- California's Proposition 8, which bans same-sex marriage and the federal Defense of Marriage Act, which denies federal benefits to same-sex couples.

The American Episcopal Church is intimately connected with the Church of England, which last week approved the advancement of male priests in same-sex committed relationships to the position of bishop. But those relationships must be celibate.

City halls in Baltimore; Portland, Maine; and Seattle erupted in celebration as the first same-sex couples tied the knot in December and January. Seattle's ceremony included 133 couples, who walked outside and down rain-slickened steps afterward, where they were greeted by cheers, confetti and a brass band celebrating the first day same-sex couples could marry in Washington.

To wed at the National Cathedral, one member of the couple must be baptized into the Church, and both must commit to a Christian marriage of "lifelong faithfulness, love, forbearance and mutual comfort."

More bringing down of our country. I am so glad I am not a member of this idiot church.

NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo Close To Announcing Sweeping New Gun Control Laws

Close To Announcing Sweeping New Gun Control Laws

Governor Working On Deal That Would Go After Assault Weapons, Magazines

CBS New York

YONKERS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — A deal to give New York one of the toughest gun control laws in the nation is being negotiated by Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who, sources said Tuesday, is hoping to announce the plan Wednesday during his State of the State speech in Albany.

Cuomo hopes to jump-start the 2013 legislative session with a big deal that could dramatically alter gun control laws across the state.

Highly placed sources told CBS 2’s Marcia Kramer that Cuomo is negotiating with Assembly and Senate leaders for a package of gun control laws that would be a dramatic response to the gun violence besetting the nation, including the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.

“It’s a very divisive topic,” Cuomo said on Wednesday. “There’s a lot of energy on both sides. Some people are vehemently against’ some people think we’re out of our minds for not passing it.”

Sources told Kramer the governor and lawmakers are negotiating furiously in the hope that Cuomo can announce a deal during his speech Wednesday.

Sources said the package is expected to include:

* New restrictions on assault weapons

* Stiffer penalties for using a gun to commit a crime

* New limits on the number of bullets in a gun magazine

“Gun control is highly political, politically contentious situation. It is polarizing,” Cuomo said.

In Westchester County, where Mamaroneck’s Hommocks Middle School was under lockdown last week amid reports a gunman tried to enter the school, the need for gun control is on the minds of many.

“There’s just too many incidents that are happening that you think could be avoided if there were stronger regulations about it,” one mother from Larchmont said, adding when asked if her children’s safety is her motivation, “Absolutely, I mean you can’t even send them to school now. Now my kids have police in front of their school. I mean you wonder how far it’s going to go.”

“I think it’s necessary with everything that’s happening,” Mamaroneck resident Gail Nubile added. “With the recent things that have been going on it does make you think that things to be happening, so you have to be extra cautious.”

Cuomo’s move comes as Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s Mayors Against Gun Violence released a new commercial to push for federal action. It features Roxanna Green, the mother of Christina Taylor-Green, who was killed two years ago Tuesday in the Tucson, Ariz., massacre.

“How many more children must die before Washington does something to end our gun violence problem?” Roxanna Green says during the ad.

It would be quite a coup for Cuomo, a potential 2016 presidential candidate, to show progress on gun control while Washington dithers.

Late Tuesday night a Cuomo spokesman said the sides still had not reached an agreement, but sources told CBS 2′s Kramer there is talk of keeping the Legislature in session for the rest of the week to make sure a deal gets done.

He has abandoned the policy from his first inauguration to accept donations up to only $50,000 from individuals, announcing last month that he would take unlimited contributions from individuals and corporations.

Obama Voters Shocked, Outraged Over New Tax Increases

Obama Voters Shocked, Outraged Over New Tax Increases

Washington Times

Sometimes, watching a Democrat learn something is wonderful, like seeing the family dog finally sit and stay at your command.

With President Obama back in office and his life-saving “fiscal cliff” bill jammed through Congress, the new year has brought a surprising turn of events for his sycophantic supporters.

“What happened that my Social Security withholding’s in my paycheck just went up?” a poster wrote on the liberal site DemocraticUnderground.com. “My paycheck just went down by an amount that I don’t feel comfortable with. I guarantee this decrease is gonna’ hurt me more than the increase in income taxes will hurt those making over 400 grand. What happened?”

Shocker. Democrats who supported the president’s re-election just had NO idea that his steadfast pledge to raise taxes meant that he was really going to raise taxes. They thought he planned to just hit those filthy “1 percenters,” you know, the ones who earned fortunes through their inventiveness and hard work. They thought the free ride would continue forever.

So this week, as taxes went up for millions of Americans — which Republicans predicted throughout the campaign would happen — it was fun to watch the agoggery of the left.

They asked for it to happen, the idiots and I hope they are miserable! Their vote effects all of America and they are too selfish to realize it.

Krauthammer Nails Pelosi Motto: "I Have Not Begun to Tax and Spend"

We have Pelosi, with apologies to John Paul Jones, which she and the president said last week is “We have not begun to tax and to spend.” And that they’ve been open about this. She said we got you on rates. That’s round one. Round two is we’re going to squeeze the money out of your by eliminating deductions and loopholes. Look, it seems to me with the Boehner interview that the Republican leadership is finally understand what some of us have been arguing now for four years. Barack Obama has zero interest in cutting spending.

General McChrystal: ‘Unfortunate Deficit of Trust Between the Military and the White House’ [Video]

General McChrystal: ‘Unfortunate Deficit of Trust Between the Military and the White House’

McChrystal writes in his memoir, “My Share of the Task,” there was an “unfortunate deficit of trust” between the military and a White House wary of being dragged into a Vietnam-like quagmire.

“This must be a really big deal, not having trust between the commander in the field and the commander in chief,” said Martin.

“It’s a challenge. While I think the relationships were positive and I think the relationships were professional, they had not yet grown into the kind of trust that allows you to make extraordinarily difficult decisions, often under time pressures.”

Then Rolling Stone published “The Runaway General,” depicting McChrystal and his closest aides trash-talking their civilian leaders.

“I was awakened about, I think it was two in the morning,” McChrystal said, “and I was told there was a problem, that the Rolling Stone article was about to come out and it was bad. . . . I was completely surprised.”

McChrystal and his wife Annie had been celebrating their 33rd anniversary while on a trip to Paris to brief French officials on Afghanistan. They had invited the Rolling Stone reporter, Michael Hastings, to join them for late night drinks with McChrystal’s staff.

Annie recalled, “That evening when Stan and I were getting ready for bed, I said to him, ‘Wow, I am so glad the reporter saw that evening and got to see what I saw, was just this amazing group of men who have been serving together for so many years and in this fight for so many years, and that kind of connection that they all had to each other.”

But the anonymous quotes attributed to McChrystal’s staff were devastating, including one about a meeting with President Obama: “The boss was pretty disappointed.”

“My whole life, I’d expected that I could get killed in war,” McChrystal said. “In my wildest dreams I never once thought I could be accused of anything approaching disloyalty or disrespect” (via CBS News)

Paving the Way for an Obama Third Term? Democrat Rep. Introduces Bill to Repeal the 22nd Amendment Limiting Presidents to Two Terms

The Daily Caller

Democratic New York Rep. Jose Serrano reintroduced a bill in Congress Friday to repeal the 22nd Amendment, which places term limits on the U.S. presidency.

The bill, which has been referred to committee, would allow Barack President Obama to become the first president since Franklin Roosevelt to seek a third term in office.

H.J. Res. 15 proposes “an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the twenty-second article of amendment, thereby removing the limitation on the number of terms an individual may serve as President.” .

Obama To Push Gun Control With Crony Capitalist Tactics Used To Pass Obamacare

Obama To Push Gun Control With Crony Capitalist Tactics Used To Pass Obamacare

Beltway Confidential

Obama plans to ally himself with big business once again by using crony capitalist tactics to pass gun control just as he used them to pass Obamacare. In this case, Obama reportedly plans to make sure that the new gun control law benefits big businesses that sell weapons.

“[T]he White House is developing strategies to work around the National Rifle Association that one source said could include rallying support from Wal-Mart and other gun retailers for measures that would benefit their businesses,” The Washington Post reports.

“Wal-Mart and other major gun retailers may have an incentive to support closing a loophole that allows people to bypass background checks if they purchase firearms at gun shows or through other types of private sales,” the Post explained, citing a source who works with the Obama administration on gun issues.

Obama used the same tactic when passing his health care law, when Jim Messina (the White House deputy chief of staff, at the time, who went on to manage the 2012 presidential campaign) negotiated with the drug industry to get them to pay for pro-Obamacare television ads.

Democrats Petition White House To Label Catholic Church A “Hate Group”

Democrats Petition White House To Label Catholic Church A “Hate Group”

White House petitioned to label Catholic Church a 'hate group'

An online petition asking the White House to designate the Catholic Church as a “hate group” for its views on marriage is drawing criticism for generating unjust animosity.

The petition reveals an “underlying agenda,” which is not simply to prevent violent crimes, but to “stigmatize any disapproval of homosexuality at all and essentially to silence us,” said Peter Sprigg, senior fellow for policy studies at the Family Research Council in Washington, D.C.

He explained to CNA on Jan. 3 that applying the “hate group” label to organizations that are morally opposed to redefining marriage is simply “name-calling designed to cut us out of the public debate.”

Initiated on Christmas Day, a petition on the White House website had collected 1,640 signatures by Jan. 3.

The petition – which is aiming for 25,000 signatures by Jan. 24 – argued that Pope Benedict XVI’s 2012 Christmas address to the College of Cardinals “demeaned and belittled homosexual people around the world.”

“Using hateful language and discriminatory remarks, the Pope painted a portrait in which gay people are second-class global citizens,” it charged.

Wild Thing's comment...................

One thing for sure, the actions of Obama show all of us he would agree with this petition.

Obama and His Team “Starting to Worry” About Low Turnout for Inauguration ~ LMAO

Obama team “Starting to Worry” About Low Turnout for Inauguration

The Daily Mail

Team Obama is starting to seriously worry about low turnout for the 2012 Inauguration.
Two weeks before the big day, plenty of hotel rooms still haven’t been booked.

Crowds may have flocked to the National Mall to see President Obama make history in 2009, but the team behind the president’s 2013 inauguration bash later this month are bracing themselves for a ton of empty seats.

The ceremony that Washington will stage in a few weeks won’t be the historic affair it was in 2009, when nearly 2 million people flocked to the Capitol o watch Obama take the oath of office.

This time, District of Columbia officials expect between 600,000 and 800,000 people for Obama’s public swearing-in on the steps of the Capitol on Monday, January 21.

Two weeks before the big day, plenty of hotel rooms still haven’t been booked. Four years ago, some hotels sold out months in advance.

There will be just two official inaugural balls this year, both at the Washington Convention Center, rather than 10 official balls at multiple locations around town.

The pair of celebrations are the lowest number since 1953, according to the New York Post.

A political insider told the paper: ‘Some on the presidential inaugural committee are starting to seriously worry.’

His inaugural committee has also scaled the celebration back to three days of festivities, instead of four.

The poor Obama voters can’t afford the trip this year.

Feinstein’s New Gun-Ban Bill Likely to be Introduced January 22

Feinstein’s New Gun-Ban Bill Likely to be Introduced January 22

The Daily Caller

Report: Democrat Sen. Diane Feinstein to Introduce Sweeping Gun Control Bill on January 22; Bill Greatly Expands Definition of “Assault Weapon”; Feinstein Herself said to be Personally Looking at “Pictures of Guns”

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.)–author of the federal “assault weapon” and “large” ammunition magazine ban of 1994-2004–has said for weeks that she will soon introduce an even more restrictive bill. Leaders in the U.S. Senate have stated that January 22 will be the first day on which new Senate legislation can be proposed, so that is the most likely date for the new, sweeping legislation to be introduced.

On Dec. 17th, Feinstein said, ”I have been working with my staff for over a year on this legislation” and “It will be carefully focused.” Indicating the depth of her research on the issue, she said on Dec. 21st that she had personally looked at pictures of guns in 1993, and again in 2012.

The article also gives a rundown on what Feinstein is likely to propose in the legislation. I think it is clear that the real intent of her “Assault Weapons Ban” is to destroy the 2nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution:

*Reduces, from two to one, the number of permitted external features on various firearms. The 1994 ban permitted various firearms to be manufactured only if they were assembled with no more than one feature listed in the law. Feinstein’s new bill would prohibit the manufacture of the same firearms with even one of the features.

*Adopts new lists of prohibited external features. For example, whereas the 1994 ban applied to a rifle or shotgun the “pistol grip” of which “protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon,” the new bill would drastically expand the definition to include any “grip . . . or any other characteristic that can function as a grip.” Also, the new bill adds “forward grip” to the list of prohibiting features for rifles, defining it as “a grip located forward of the trigger that functions as a pistol grip.” Read literally and in conjunction with the reduction from two features to one, the new language would apply to every detachable-magazine semi-automatic rifle. At a minimum, it would, for example, ban all models of the AR-15, even those developed for compliance with California’s highly restrictive ban.

*Carries hyperbole further than the 1994 ban. Feinstein’s 1994 ban listed “grenade launcher” as one of the prohibiting features for rifles. Her 2013 bill goes even further into the ridiculous, by also listing “rocket launcher.” Such devices are restricted under the National Firearms Act and, obviously, are not standard components of the firearms Feinstein wants to ban. Perhaps a subsequent Feinstein bill will add “nuclear bomb,” “particle beam weapon,” or something else equally far-fetched to the features list.

*Expands the definition of “assault weapon” by including:–Three very popular rifles: The M1 Carbine (introduced in 1941 and for many years sold by the federal government to individuals involved in marksmanship competition), a model of the Ruger Mini-14, and most or all models of the SKS.–Any “semiautomatic, centerfire, or rimfire rifle that has a fixed magazine with the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds,” except for tubular-magazine .22s.

–Any “semiautomatic, centerfire, or rimfire rifle that has an overall length of less than 30 inches,” any “semiautomatic handgun with a fixed magazine that has the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds,” and any semi-automatic handgun that has a threaded barrel.

*Requires owners of existing “assault weapons” to register them with the federal government under the National Firearms Act (NFA). The NFA imposes a $200 transfer tax per firearm, and requires an owner to submit photographs and fingerprints to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE), to inform the BATFE of the address where the firearm will be kept, and to obtain the BATFE’s permission to transport the firearm across state lines.

*Prohibits the transfer of “assault weapons.” Owners of other firearms, including those covered by the NFA, are permitted to sell them or pass them to heirs. However, under Feinstein’s new bill, “assault weapons” would remain with their current owners until their deaths, at which point they would be forfeited to the government.

*Prohibits the domestic manufacture and the importation of magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition. The 1994 ban allowed the importation of such magazines that were manufactured before the ban took effect. Whereas the 1994 ban protected gun owners from errant prosecution by making the government prove when a magazine was made, the new ban includes no such protection. The new ban also requires firearm dealers to certify the date of manufacture of any >10-round magazine sold, a virtually impossible task, given that virtually no magazines are stamped with their date of manufacture.

*Targets handguns in defiance of the Supreme Court. The Court ruled in District of Columbia v. Heller that the Second Amendment protects the right to have handguns for self-defense, in large part on the basis of the fact handguns are the type of firearm “overwhelmingly chosen by American society for that lawful purpose.” Semi-automatic pistols, which are the most popular handguns today, are designed to use detachable magazines, and the magazines “overwhelmingly chosen” by Americans for self-defense are those that hold more than 10 rounds. Additionally, Feinstein’s list of nearly 1,000 firearms exempted by name (see next paragraph) contains not a single handgun. Sen. Feinstein advocated banning handguns before being elected to the Senate, though she carried a handgun for her own personal protection.

*Contains a larger piece of window dressing than the 1994 ban. Whereas the 1994 ban included a list of approximately 600 rifles and shotguns exempted from the ban by name, the new bill’s list is increased to nearly 1,000 rifles and shotguns. But most of the guns on the list either wouldn’t be banned in the first place, or would already be exempted by other provisions. On the other hand, the list inevitably misses every model of rifle and shotgun that wasn’t being manufactured or imported in the years covered by the reference books Sen. Feinstein’s staff consulted. That means an unknown number of absolutely conventional semi-auto rifles and shotguns, many of them out of production for decades, would be banned under the draft bill.

Democrat Leading Gun Control Drive Says Don’t Call It Gun Control Because It Makes It Harder To Pass Legislation

CNN

The Californian picked to lead congressional Democrats’ efforts on gun control says the positions held by some gun rights advocates are unnecessarily divisive, and that government action should go beyond simply outlawing certain weapons.

“I think assault weapons are a pox on the home of every gun owner,” Rep. Mike Thompson said Saturday on CNN. “I think that’s the thing that’s going to cause the overwhelming majority of people in this country who aren’t gun owners to have negative feelings about those of us who are gun owners.” [...]

The phrase “gun control,” Thompson said, is not comprehensive enough for the discussion.

“A lot of times when you talk about gun control, you turn off more than half of your audience,” he said in the interview. Possible solutions can include “everything from the background checks to the assault magazines, the assault weapons, the mental health (system) capacities that we have, our culture of violence that seems to be so overwhelming right now.”

Planned Parenthood’s Annual Report Shows 91% Of The Pregnant Women They See Get An Abortion…

Life News

As LifeNews reported last week, a new annual report the Planned Parenthood abortion business released shows it helped fewer pregnant women with prenatal care and the number of pregnant women it referred for adoptions declined as well.

The report also breaks down the “services” Planned Parenthood offers in addition to abortions. Planned Parenthood has always come under fire from pro-life groups for doing hundreds of thousands of abortions by providing little in the way of help for pregnant woman wanting to keep their baby or considering adoption. The new report shows that hasn’t changed.

The new document the abortion organization posted shows Planned Parenthood did 329,445 abortions in 2010 while it provided prenatal care to only 31,098 women and referred only 841 women to adoption agencies.

People Making $30K Will Take A Bigger Hit On Their Pay Than Those Earning $500K Under Obama's New Fiscal Deal

Making $30K Will Take A Bigger Hit On Their Pay Than Those Earning $500K Under New Fiscal Deal…

Mail Online

Middle-class workers will take a bigger hit to their income proportionately than those earning between $200,000 and $500,000 under the new fiscal cliff deal, according to the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center.

Earners in the latter group will pay an average 1.3 percent more – or an additional $2,711 – in taxes this year, while workers making between $30,000 and $200,000 will see their paychecks shrink by as much as 1.7 percent – or up to $1,784 – the D.C.-based think tank reported.

Overall, nearly 80 percent of households will pay more money to the federal government as a result of the fiscal cliff deal.

‘The economy needs a stimulus, but under the agreement, taxes will go up in 2013 relative to 2012 – not only on high-income households, as widely discussed, but also on every working man and woman in the country, via the end of the payroll tax cut,’ said William G. Gale, co-director of the Tax Policy Center.

‘For most households, the payroll tax takes a far bigger bite than the income tax does, and the payroll tax cut therefore – as [the Congressional Budget Office] and others have shown – was a more effective stimulus than income tax cuts were, because the payroll tax cuts hit lower in the income distribution and hence were more likely to be spent,’ he added.

Illinois Cops Banned From Denny’s Till general manager Said It Was OK

Illinois Cops Banned From Denny’s

FOX News

An Illinois police chief has banned his officers from a Belleville Denny’s Restaurant after a manager told five on-duty detectives they had to leave because one of them had a firearm.

“The Belleville Police Department is very disheartened by the lack of respect shown to on-duty sworn police officers, Capt. Don Sax said in a statement to Fox News. “Until further notice all on duty Belleville Police officers are banned from Denny’s Restaurant unless responding to an official call for service.”

The incident occurred on New Year’s Day when five detectives were eating at the restaurant. A manager approached their table and told one of the detectives that she had to take her weapon out to her car or leave the restaurant.

The detectives initially thought it was a joke, Sax said, noting that all of the officers had displayed their badges and several police radios were on the table.

“(The manager) stated that he had a complaint from another customer about the weapon and she had to take the weapon outside or leave,” he said.

The manager told the detectives that Denny’s only allows officers in uniform to carry weapons. The detectives said that wasn’t going to happen so they got up to leave.

Sax said the restaurant’s general manager eventually came over and said it was fine for the detectives to be in the restaurant.

“At this point the detectives were very embarrassed and felt the situation was entirely too awkward for them to remain and all left the restaurant,” Sax said.

A spokesperson for Denny’s told Fox News told Fox News the restaurant manager made a mistake. They do allow both uniformed and non-uniformed officers to carry weapons in the restaurant.

The spokesman said it was a case of miscommunication. They said the manager was trying to do the right thing after a diner had complained.

Denny’s said they regret any misunderstanding.

Obama Will Lie Under Oath Just as he did 4 Years Ago

Obama Will Lie Under Oath

FOX News

Looking back over the last four years, it is now obvious that the greatest symbolic moment of President Barack Obama's first term was the very first moment.

That is when Obama placed his left hand on Abraham Lincoln's Bible, raised his right hand, and followed the lead of Chief Justice John Roberts in attempting to recite the oath that all American presidents must take, swearing to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

Obama and Roberts mangled the oath, a poignant precursor of their subsequent exertions to mangle the Constitution itself.

The Constitution says: "Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation: -- 'I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.'"

After Roberts and Obama failed to recite these words correctly -- as more than a million watched from the National Mall -- Obama decided to take the oath a second time, on Jan. 21, 2009, in front of a few reporters in the White House Map Room.

"We believe that the oath of office was administered effectively and that the president was sworn in appropriately yesterday," White House Counsel Greg Craig said in an explanatory statement. "But the oath appears in the Constitution itself. And out of an abundance of caution, because there was one word out of sequence, Chief Justice Roberts administered the oath a second time."

But if Obama's second oath-taking was essentially a symbolic gesture, it lacked the most powerful element of his first oath-taking: This time he did not use a Bible.

Krauthammer: ‘President Obama Doesn’t Want to Leave a Legacy of a Man Who Balanced the Budget’

FOX News

Charles Krauthammer, responded to Bill O’Reilly’s Talking Points Memo. O’Reilly believes that in light of the fiscal cliff fallout, it is clear that President Obama doesn’t care about federal spending.

Krauthammer agreed, adding that there’s “not a shred of evidence President Obama has any interest in cutting spending.”

O’Reilly asked Krauthammer if he thinks President Obama is simply ignorant of macroeconomics. Krauthammer assessed, “No, I think he’s not ignorant but I think he has … this is a man who is so ideological, he is so committed since the days as a community organizer to undoing the injustices he sees in the country.”

“We have the empirical evidence, it’s in from Europe. This can’t go on, this will wreck the country,” Krauthammer warned. “Maybe [President Obama] thinks our economy is so strong. And right now interest rates are essentially zero, so he can spend his second term piling up the debt and deficit […] He doesn’t want to leave a legacy of a man who balanced the budget, he doesn’t care about that.”

Speaker Boehner Promises to Pass Sandy Bill Without Senate Pork So Chill Out Chris Christie!

Speaker Boehner promised Wednesday to pass emergency spending bill to help pay for damage caused by Hurricane Sandy. The House bill will not include the millions of dollars in pork that were included in the Senate bill.

Earlier in the day Governor Chris Christie lashed out at Boehner for not holding a vote on the pork-laden senate bill.

.

Wild Thing's comment....................

I honestly don't get it. It was explained why they did not include the Sandy bill with all the other things, because it was filled with pork. But Chris Christie had to make a huge deal about it in his own bully pulpit way.

Chris Christie is a total jerk. He should shut up. Boehner did the right thing, conservatives do not want more pork.
Christie is a disgusting slob.

Hidden in the Details… Fiscal Cliff Bill Will Raise Taxes on Those Making $100,000 a Year By $2,000

Hidden in the Details… Fiscal Cliff Bill Will Raise Taxes on Those Making $100,000 a Year By $2,000

During the 2008 campaign Barack Obama promised not to raise taxes on anyone making less than $250,000 a year.
He lied. Obamacare created seven new taxes on those making less than $250,000 a year.

And, then there’s this. The fiscal cliff bill that passed the US Senate and is likely to pass the US House will raise taxes on those making $100,000 a year by $2,000.

Wild Thing's comment..................

Obama and his people to America............... screw America as much as possible and laugh about it along the way.

Socialist Marxist Obama: U.S. House of Representatives Passes “Fiscal Cliff” Deal by Wide Margin, 257-167

Complete Victory for Obama: U.S. House of Representatives Passes “Fiscal Cliff” Deal by Wide Margin, 257-167

In a complete victory for President Obama, the House of Representatives tonight passed the “Fiscal Cliff” Deal, that raises taxes but does not cut spending, by an overwhelming vote of 257-167. The majority of Republicans voted against the deal, but enough crossed the aisle to vote with Democrats to put it over the top by a large margin. House Speaker John Boehner voted for the deal, along with GOP Rep. Paul Ryan. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor voted against it. It now moves to President Obama’s desk to be signed into law. The Congressional Budget Office estimates this deal will add another $4 Trillion to the National Debt over the next 10 years.

AWESOME! U.S. Marine Veteran’s Letter to Democratic Sen. Diane Feinstein “No Ma’am” on Forcible Gun Registration....

U.S. Marine Veteran’s Letter Goes Viral Telling Democratic Sen. Diane Feinstein “No Ma’am” on Forcible Gun Registration: “You ma’am have overstepped a line that is not your domain. . . I am not your servant. I am the person whom you serve. I am not your peasant. I am the flesh and blood of America . .”

CNN

CNN PRODUCER NOTE

joshdb50 was a Marine and was deployed to Afghanistan between the years of 2004 through 2005. Although he is no longer in the military he acknowledges that he owns gun. He says he does not believe the government needs to what guns he owns because he believes registration would lead to confiscation. He says the laws that are in place for gun control are plenty, and adding more laws will remove a means of defense for people. 'I own the guns I own because I acknowledge mankind's shortcomings instead of pretending like they don't exist. There are evil men in this world and there just may be a time when I need to do the unthinkable to protect me or my family,' he said. - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

A U.S. Marine Veteran, honorably discharged in 2012 after eight years of service to America, has written a response to Democratic Sen. Diane Feinstein’s plan to push additional Gun Control legislation that would force American Citizens to register their guns, and be photographed and fingerprinted. Joshua Boston submitted this letter, titled “No, Ma’am,” via CNN iReport, and it has now gone viral. In the letter, he says flatly:

Senator Dianne Feinstein,

I will not register my weapons should this bill be passed, as I do not believe it is the government's right to know what I own. Nor do I think it prudent to tell you what I own so that it may be taken from me by a group of people who enjoy armed protection yet decry me having the same a crime. You ma'am have overstepped a line that is not your domain. I am a Marine Corps Veteran of 8 years, and I will not have some woman who proclaims the evil of an inanimate object, yet carries one, tell me I may not have one.

I am not your subject. I am the man who keeps you free. I am not your servant. I am the person whom you serve. I am not your peasant. I am the flesh and blood of America.
I am the man who fought for my country. I am the man who learned. I am an American. You will not tell me that I must register my semi-automatic AR-15 because of the actions of some evil man.

I will not be disarmed to suit the fear that has been established by the media and your misinformation campaign against the American public.

We, the people, deserve better than you.

Respectfully Submitted,
Joshua Boston

CNBC’s Rick Santelli On Obama's “Pea”-Sized Effort at Tackling the Massive Debt Problem Facing America"

CNBC’s Rick Santelli Smashes Obama’s “Pea”-Sized Effort at Tackling the Massive Debt Problem Facing America; Warns Look Out for Your “Personal Liberty” when Leaders start Talking “Fairness” and “Balance” .

CNBC’s Rick Santelli today illustrating just how laughable the “Fiscal Cliff” Deal being done really is when compared to the problem facing America. Santelli took a “pea” and smashed it with a hammer, saying that “pea” compared to the size of the Empire State Building as the National Debt is what Obama’s tax increase deal actually does to the debt. Nothing. He further warned to watch out for your “personal liberty” when leaders start talking about “fairness” and “balance” to cover their intentions.

Wild Thing's comment..................

You know Obama really has a lot of nerve. He has served one term as president and not once has had a budget. Not once did anything about it.and this has all been on purpose as we know.

Pravda Praises Americans For Standing Up For Their Right To Bear Arms

Pravda Praises Americans For Standing Up For Their Right To Bear Arms…

Pravada. Russia

These days, there are few few things to admire about the socialist, bankrupt and culturally degenerating USA, but at least so far, one thing remains: the right to bare arms and use deadly force to defend one’s self and possessions.

The excuse that people will start shooting each other is also plain and silly. So it is our politicians saying that our society is full of incapable adolescents who can never be trusted? Then, please explain how we can trust them or the police, who themselves grew up and came from the same culture?

No it is about power and a total power over the people. There is a lot of desire to bad mouth the Tsar, particularly by the Communists, who claim he was a tyrant, and yet under him we were armed and under the progressives disarmed. Do not be fooled by a belief that progressives, leftists hate guns. Oh, no, they do not. What they hate is guns in the hands of those who are not marching in lock step of their ideology. They hate guns in the hands of those who think for themselves and do not obey without question. They hate guns in those whom they have slated for a barrel to the back of the ear.

So, do not fall for the false promises and do not extinguish the light that is left to allow humanity a measure of self respect.

Wild Thing's comment...................

Good for Pravda .

1995 Flashback of Dianne Feinstein Says Her Goal Is To Disarm All Americans

From 1995.......Dianne Feinstein Says Her Goal Is To Disarm All Americans…

Wild Thing's comment................

The left can pretend is it about the murder of children but in truth it is not, not in my opinion. It is all about the agenda of the far left. The only hope we can have are the democrats that do love to hunt and do own guns themselves for protection and will possibly fight this total gun control from people like Dianne Feinstein.
