Gov. Mitt Romney Acceptance Speech at the 2012 Republican National Convention– Complete Video

Gov. Mitt Romney Acceptance Speech at the 2012 Republican National Convention

Here is complete video of Gov. Mitt Romney delivering his acceptance speech at the 2012 Republican National Convention tonight. Romney shared his own personal story and then called Americans to join him in turning the nation’s economy around and restoring America to her founding principles. Romney made the pledge that while Barack Obama promises the sky – things like “slowing the rise of the oceans” and causing the “planet to heal” – he will be devoted to “helping you and your family.”

This was a great speech by Mitt Romney!

Paul Ryans Speech Last night at RNC Convention ( complete video)

Here is complete video of GOP Vice-Presidential Nominee Paul Ryan tonight accepting the VP Nomination and taking the fight directly to Barack Obama. Ryan explained how Obama has failed miserably as President, and challenged Americans to take control of their country by replacing Obama with the leadership of Mitt Romney. Ryan called Obama out repeatedly, and made it clear Romney and Ryan will not back down from the real issues facing the nation.

Wild Thing's comment........

In case anyone missed his speech and might be interested to hear what he had to say.

He did great. There were several zingers at Obama that were excellent.

This has been the best presidential election since when Reagan was elected. The whole thing has been really well done and so many great speeches. For those like me that realize how important this election it is very exciting.

Charles Krauthammer Weighs In on Chris Christie and Ann Romney Speeches

Fox News contributor Charles Krauthammer gave Ann Romney’s speech at the RNC positive reviews and pointed out an implicit contrast to President Obama. He said, “I think the second part of it where she spoke in praise of her husband was utterly heartfelt and extremely effective.”

Krauthammer referred Mrs. Romney’s line when she said, “Mitt doesn’t like to talk about how he has helped others because he sees it as a privilege, not a political talking point. And we’re no different than the millions of Americans who quietly help their neighbors, their churches and their communities. They don’t do it so that others will think more of them. They do it because there is no greater joy.”

He assessed, “She’s basically saying there are two kinds of being genuine. There’s the political genuine where you appear to be caring and all that when you give your speeches and when you do handouts from the public treasury […] And then there’s real generosity that I’ve seen, she says, in my life. And that’s what he’s got and the beauty of it is he won’t talk about it because he has a sense that you don’t exploit it.”

Wild Thing's comment..........

Obama Will Hold Muslim Jumah at DNC – But Won’t Let Catholic Cardinal Lead Prayer

Robert Spencer wrote this about the DNC Jumah:

But the most disturbing aspect of the entire “Jumah at the DNC” is not the obvious victimhood-mongering of its agenda, but the people involved. The Democrats are playing host to an unsavory gang of Islamic supremacists with numerous ties to jihad groups. Even this is not surprising, but it should be a matter of concern to any Americans who are more aware of the jihad threat than the average politically correct Democrat pol.

But, as Atlas Shrugs pointed out, the Obama Campaign denied Catholic Cardinal request to lead prayer at the convention.

President Obama turned down a chance to have Timothy Cardinal Dolan deliver a prayer at the Democratic National Convention after Dolan told Democrats he would be “grateful” to deliver a blessing in Charlotte.

Dolan — considered the top Catholic official in the nation, as head of the Archdiocese of New York and president of the Conference of Catholic Bishops — tipped off Democrats a few weeks ago that he had agreed to deliver the prime-time benediction at the Republican convention in Tampa next week, Dolan’s spokesman Joseph Zwilling told The Post.

Wild Thing's comment...........

Kick him out with this election. Anyone that thinks not voting for president in this election no matter what the reason will be as much to blame if Obama gets elected again as the left are for voting for him. IMO

There are still some idiots out there that think they are so pure they will not vote for anyone that has not being their own personal candidate......they are wrong. get over it. I am not expecting everyone to be excited about the GOP candidate but at least for him or Obama will win.

"My Name is America" by Todd Allen Herendeen ~ video

Written by Kurt Orning, "My Name Is America" is a powerful patriotic anthem that speaks to the hearts of Americans. "If the Statue of Liberty Could speak, what would she say?" She has seen dreamers and friends come and go in the harbor, she has watched ships sail away with our military to protect and defend, yet she sees them come back not quite as full as when they left and she has much she could say. The song says" We are challenged by tyrants who envy our power." These tyrants come in many different forms of evil and our power comes from God our creator.

Neil Armstrong American NASA Astronaut Passes Away at 82

GODSPEED NEIL ARMSTRONG, from the NASA/CLEAR LAKE BAY AREA OF HOUSTON

Neil Alden Armstrong (August 5, 1930 – August 25, 2012) was an American NASA astronaut, test pilot,
aerospace engineer, university professor, United States Naval Aviator, and the first person to set foot
upon the Moon.

Former U.S. astronaut, Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon, has died at the age of 82, U.S.
media reported on Saturday.

Armstrong underwent a heart-bypass surgery earlier this month, just two days after his birthday
on August 5, to relieve blocked coronary arteries.

As commander of the Apollo 11 mission, Armstrong became the first human to set foot on the
moon on July 20, 1969. As he stepped on the moon’s dusty surface, Armstrong said:
“That’s one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind.”

The Apollo 11 moon mission turned out to be Armstrong’s last space flight. The following year
he was appointed to a desk job, being named NASA’s deputy associate administrator for
aeronautics in the office of advanced research and technology.

.

Wild Thing's comment..........

He will be missed! I am so grateful I got to live in a time that this country once respected the
goals of NASA and men like Neil Armstrong..... a world before Obama.

2016 Obama’s America Is Expected To Be Number One Film This Weekend

016 Obama’s America went into wider release around America today and is opening right now in first place at the domestic box office .

That’s quite a feat since the Rocky Mountain Pictures political documentary is still playing in only 1,090 North American theaters – or about 1/3 as many theaters as big-budget actioner The Expendables 2 (3,355 theaters).

But these political documentaries like faith-based films are frontloaded. The Stallone picture from Millenium/Lionsgate is still expected to end the weekend #1 and should top the box office tonight. And, based on matinee trends, 2016 Obama’s America looks to gross $1.2M-$1.7M Friday for a $3.7M-$5.0M weekend.

ICE Agents File Suit Against Napolitano

Napolitano Sued Over Illegals Policy.

FOX News

Ten immigration agents file lawsuit against Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, saying the department is forcing them to 'violate federal law' — and ignore their duties — by telling them not to deport some illegal immigrants.

The suit was filed Thursday in Texas federal court by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials. It challenges recent directives allowing some illegal immigrants -- particularly non-felons and those who came to the U.S. as children -- to stay and, in some cases, get work permits.

The suit, obtained by Fox News, says the agents are being forced to "violate federal law." It says the new directive "unconstitutionally usurps and encroaches upon the legislative powers of Congress." ICE Director John Morton is also named as a defendant.

Kris Kobach, lead attorney on the case, equated the move to give thousands of illegal immigrants a reprieve to the failed Fast and Furious gun-walking operation.

"In both instances, the Obama administration ordered federal law enforcement agents to break the law, to ignore the laws that they're supposed to enforce, and, in the case of the ICE agents, to actually break federal laws that say you're supposed to deport certain people," he said. "And in each case, the Obama administration seems to be doing so for political reasons."

Kobach, the Kansas secretary of state, is also an adviser to Mitt Romney and a co-author of the Arizona illegal immigration law.

DHS spokesman Matt Chandler, reacting to the suit, stressed that the current policy allows the department to focus on serious offenders -- he said ICE removed a record 216,000 criminal aliens in fiscal 2011.

"DHS uses prosecutorial discretion to assist in focusing vigorously on the removal of individuals who are convicted criminals, repeat immigration law violators, and recent border crossers," he said. "This policy is a temporary measure; Congress must still act to provide a permanent solution to fix the broken immigration system."

Napolitano defended the new rules during testimony last month before the House Judiciary Committee.

"These policies promote the efficient use of our resources ensuring that we do not divert them away from the removal of convicted criminals by pursuing the removal of young people who came to this country as children and who have called no other country home," she said.

The Supreme Court has recognized the ability of the federal government to use what's known as "prosecutorial discretion" in the enforcement of immigration law. In the recent case over the Arizona immigration law, the court defended the government's ability to make "some discretionary decisions."

In the suit, the agents are asking a federal judge to block the directives in question, saying they amount to an end-run around Congress and violate the separation of powers between the Legislative and Executive branches.

Republican lawmakers released a flurry of statements Thursday backing up the suit and challenging the administration policy.

"The Obama administration's amnesty program not only rewards lawbreakers, it also forces ICE agents to violate federal law. ICE agents should enforce our immigration laws and apprehend illegal immigrants. But the Obama administration makes it impossible for ICE agents to do their jobs," House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith, R-Texas, said in a statement.

Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., has also raised concern about the possibility of ICE agents being compelled to release illegal immigrants with misdemeanor records.

"It is a sad day when our nation's law enforcement officers are left with no recourse but to file suit against the administration and its political appointees," he said in a statement

Wild Thing's comment............

It is disgusting how Obama and his administration have done things. Unforgivable.

Mitt Romney Unveils Plan to make the United States Energy Independent - Video

Mitt Romney Unveils Plan to make the United States Energy Independent by 2020

1. Make the process to get permits to drill on Federal lands easier by giving the states the power to make those decisions.

2. Open up offshore drilling

3. Establish an Energy Partnership with Canada and Mexico – including building the Keystone Pipeline.

4. Get an accurate inventory of just how much energy resources we have in America.

5. Stop using regulations to prevent the production of energy in America.

.

Romney Would Give Reins to States on Drilling on Federal Lands

New York Times

By proposing to end a century of federal control over oil and gas drilling and coal mining on government lands, Mitt Romney is making a bid for anti-Washington voters in key Western states while dangling the promise of a big reward to major campaign supporters from the energy industry.

Mr. Romney's plan, which would turn over decision-making on drilling and mining to the states, echoes the "Drill, baby, drill" strategy that another Republican presidential candidate, John McCain, used to great effect in the 2008 campaign.

The federal government owns vast portions of states like New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, Colorado and Alaska. Under President Obama, officials in Washington have played a bigger role in drilling and mining decisions on federal lands in the states, and such involvement rankles many residents and energy executives, who prefer the usually lighter touch of local officials.

With gasoline prices again approaching $4 a gallon, Mr. Romney, the presumptive Republican nominee, is also trying to merge energy and economic policy in a way that will make voters see increased energy production as a pocketbook issue. He said that his overall energy plan, which includes speedy approval of the Keystone XL oil pipeline from Canada and new drilling off the coast of Virginia and the Carolinas, would help the country achieve energy independence and create three million drilling and manufacturing jobs.

"I'm going to change the regulatory and permitting process," Mr. Romney said Thursday at a rally in Hobbs, N.M., in the giant Permian Basin oil fields, where companies are eager to begin drilling on millions of acres of federal lands. "Sometimes I have the impression that the whole regulatory attitude of the administration is trying to stop oil and gas and coal - that they don't want those sources, that instead they want to get those things so expensive and so rare that wind and solar become highly cost-effective and efficient."

Giving states control over the energy resources on millions of acres of federal lands would be a radical shift from decades of policies under both Democratic and Republican presidents, dating all the way to Theodore Roosevelt, who first set aside vast tracts of territory to preserve wildlife. Since then, the federal government has tried to balance exploitation of mineral resources with other uses like recreation and environmental protection.

"This step would be a change in national policy direction going back at least 50 years, giving control over national assets to localities," said Michael E. Webber, associate director of the Center for International Energy and Environmental Policy at the University of Texas at Austin. "Local decision makers could inhibit production that could be against the national interest or could encourage production that could pollute waters or air in another state."

Mr. Romney said that states like North Dakota and Colorado grant drilling permits on state-owned lands in days or weeks, compared with the nearly a year that it takes the federal government to grant approval. "They found a way to do a job in a more efficient way," he said. "On federal lands, the permitting process to actually drill and get oil or gas is extraordinarily slow."

The Romney campaign acknowledged that such a significant policy change would require the approval of Congress. Getting such legislation passed, even if Republicans controlled the House and the Senate, would be very difficult, given certain opposition by Democrats and perhaps even some Republicans.

But even if it never passes, the proposal is liable to generate enthusiasm among voters who favor smaller government, especially in Western swing states like Nevada, which is about 80 percent federal land.

"We love it," said Ally Isom, a deputy chief of staff to Gov. Gary R. Herbert of Utah, a Republican. "We understand better than Washington how to better manage our lands. We actually live here."

An individual close to the Romney campaign said that Mr. Romney's staff drafted the proposal in consultation with industry executives, including Harold Hamm, an Oklahoma billionaire who is the chairman of the campaign's energy advisory committee and chief executive of Continental Resources, an oil and gas driller.

Just this week, the oil and gas industry gave nearly $10 million toward the Romney election effort in two fund-raisers.

The Romney aide, who said she was not authorized to speak on the record about the plan, said that any consultation with industry officials was simply to tap their expertise and did not mean the proposal was being shaped to serve their interests.

Mr. Romney's proposal drew immediate praise from the industry, which has complained that gas production on public lands has slowed under President Obama, even while it has surged on private lands.

"Empowering states, rather than imposing a one-size-fits-all federal government approach, is the right way to increase American energy," said Kathleen Sgamma, a vice president at Western Energy Alliance, a group of oil and gas producers.

But environmentalists and former Interior Department officials called the proposal an irresponsible break from traditional federal protection of wildlife.

"It is a preposterously bad idea - we are talking about federal trust lands that belong to the whole nation," said Bobby McEnaney, a senior aide at the Natural Resources Defense Council, an environmental group.

Federico Peña, secretary of energy in the Clinton administration and now a co-chairman of Mr. Obama's re-election campaign, said Mr. Romney's plan would cause more problems for the oil and gas industry. "I cannot imagine a world in where there are 50 different kinds of rules and regulations for industry," Mr. Peña said. "To see Balkanization of rules and regulation I think would drive the industry crazy."

The federal government owns about 28 percent of the 2.27 billion acres of land in the United States. But as of March 2012, only about 37 million acres were under lease for oil and gas operations, of which about 16.3 million acres have active oil and gas production or exploration, according to the Interior Department.

Under Mr. Romney's proposal, the federal government would still be able to set national standards for air and water pollution, which equally apply to drilling on federal and private lands, an aide said. But states would be authorized to conduct their own environmental reviews and issue drilling permits as quickly as they would like, as long as the drilling was not in protected wildlife areas or national parks.

Elected officials in states like Utah have called for federal officials to transfer or sell federal lands to the states, echoing the Sagebrush Rebellion of the 1970s, when politicians and landowners in the West advocated a similar move.

The George W. Bush administration allowed individual drilling permits to be issued without a detailed environmental review, resulting in a surge of oil and gas production.

But never before has the federal government offered simply to cede control over how federal land is developed to state officials, said John Leshy, a professor at the University of California Hastings College of the Law and an Interior Department lawyer in the Clinton administration.

"It is pretty revolutionary to say we are going to keep title but turn it over to the states," he said. "It is a Sagebrush Rebellion with a twist."

.

Wild Thing's comment...................

I love this, I have waited so long to hear this from a Republican nominee. I pray he become President.

Romney Would Give Reins to States on Drilling on Federal Lands...Rick Perry would approve of this big time and so do I.

Obama Used Half a Million in Stimulus Cash to Run Pro-Obama Ads on MSNBC

Washington Times

The Obama regime blew half a million dollars in stimulus cash to run pro-Obama ads on MSNBC.
The ads were meant to promote and recruit young liberals for green jobs.

he Labor Department paid out hundreds of thousands of dollars in federal stimulus funds to a public relations firm to run more than 100 commercials touting the Obama administration’s “green training” job efforts on two MSNBC cable shows, records show.

The commercials ran on MSNBC on shows hosted by Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann in 2009, but the contract didn’t report any jobs created, according to records reviewed recently by The Washington Times.

Spending reports under the federal Recovery Act show $495,000 paid to McNeely Pigott & Fox Public Relations LLC, which the Labor Department hired to raise awareness “among employers and influencers about the [Job Corps] program’s existing and new training initiatives in high growth and environmentally friendly career areas” as well as spreading the word to prospective Job Corps enrollees.

Obama Takes On Navy SEALS: 'I Don't Take These Folks Too Seriously' ~ How Horrible and He is Their CIC

Obama Takes On Navy SEALS: 'I Don't Take These Folks Too Seriously'

FOX news

By BYRON TAU

President Obama said Monday that he isn't too worried about two groups of military veterans running campaign ads against him.

Last week, two groups — Special Operations Speaks and Special Operations OPSEC Education Fund - formed to criticize Obama on national security policy, the Osama bin Laden raid and intelligence leaks.

“I don’t take these folks too seriously. One of their members is a birther who denies I was born here, despite evidence to the contrary," Obama told The Virginian-Pilot.

"You’ve got another who was a tea party candidate in a recent election."

"This kind of stuff springs up before election time," Obama said.

Wild Thing's comment.......

This POS Obama does not deserve to be in office of any kind and he certainly does not deserve to be the President or CIC.

Krauthammer on Akin: “He’s Gotta Leave, He’s Toxic” (Video)

Yesterday, Senate candidate Rep. Todd Akin went on a local public affairs show in St. Louis with, at most, 12 convalescent viewers and gave birth to the mother of all campaign gaffes in 2012. Responding to a question about rape exceptions to abortion, something asked of every GOP candidate since Roe v Wade, Akin said something about how in "legitimate rapes" pregnancies are very rare.

This is deadly goddamned serious business. This is the country we're talking about.

Sen. Claire McCaskill is the most vulnerable Democrat on the ballot this November. If you or I suddenly appeared on the ballot against her, we would be up 10 points in the polls. The GOP is often called the "stupid party", but they aren't that stupid. As you read this calls are being made across Missouri, smoothing Akin's exit and deciding on a replacement candidate.

After Akin withdraws the decision to name a replacement falls to the 71 members of the state GOP central committee. [See update] Speculation is currently focused on two candidates Akin defeated in the recent GOP primary; businessman Jim Brunner and former State Treasurer Sarah Steelman.

Hannity Calls For Akin to Withdraw From Senate Race

American Spectator

In an exclusive to The American Spectator, Sean Hannity has now called for Missouri GOP Senate candidate Todd Akin to withdraw from the Missouri Senate race.

Earlier this afternoon Hannity interviewed Akin, politely prodding Akin about the problems the Senate candidate will surely face over the next 79 days in the wake of his controversial rape remarks.

Now, interview over, Hannity has told TAS that he does indeed believe Akin should withdraw from the race.

This is big news.

The tide is quickly rising, and, to borrow from LBJ and his problem with Walter Cronkite on Vietnam, if Mr. Akin has lost Sean Hannity he’s losing conservatives.

Missouri is a key state — both for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan, and for GOP control of the Senate.

Akin’s controversy is a reminder that with 79 days to go there is a belief in conservative circles that there is no margin for error — not to mention a self-inflicted wound of this type.

.

Wild Thing's comment............

This Akin jerk is a real piece of work. I have no idea how he got as far as he has. If you google him there are tons of sickening and idiotic things he has said in the past that are either all time stupid or shocking.

One of the things he has said is that student loans cause cancer. He was not joking and repeated it.

I agree, he needs to go and right away.

Todd Akin Told Not to Come to RNC Convention

Toxic Todd Akin Told Not to Come to RNC Convention

Within 24 hours Rep. Todd Akin (R-MO) has become so toxic to Republicans that his funding was cut off and he was told not to attend the RNC Convention by the GOP leader Reince Priebus.

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus appeared on CNN’s Out Front on Monday evening and spoke to Erin Burnett about the controversial statements made by Rep. Todd Akins, Missouri Republican, regarding rape. He called for Mr. Akin, who is running for Senate against Democrat Claire McCaskill, to “step aside and let someone else run for that office.” Chairman Priebus also said that he “prefer that Todd Akin do the right thing for our party and our candidates” and “not come” to the upcoming RNC Convention in Tampa.

Wild Thing's comment.............

I agree, we do not need this Akin jerk messing with our convention. It is way too important. He will be a distraction and he for sure IS toxic.

400 Independent Economists, 5 Nobel Laureates Support Romney’s Plan

400 Independent Economists, 5 Nobel Laureates Support Romney’s Plan

FOX News

Over 400 independent economists signed a statement at the website Economists for Romney in support of what they call the Republican presidential candidate's "bold economic plan for America."

Five Nobel laureates (Gary Becker, Robert Lucas, Robert Mundell, Edward Prescott, and Myron Scholes) signed the statement which, in part, reads, “We enthusiastically endorse Governor Mitt Romney’s economic plan to create jobs and restore economic growth while returning America to its tradition of economic freedom.”

The economists also denounced Obama's economic ideas, claiming they led to an "an anemic economic recovery and high unemployment." They further assert, "his future plans are to double down on the failed policies, which will only prolong slow growth and high unemployment."

The economists write that Romney's plan is based on sound principles: "more contained and less intrusive federal government, a greater reliance on the private sector, a broad expansion of opportunity without government favors for special interests, and respect for the rule of law including the decision-making authority of states and localities."

These economists note that Romney would:

Reduce marginal tax rates on business and wage incomes and broaden the tax base to increase investment, jobs, and living standards.

End the exploding federal debt by controlling the growth of spending so federal spending does not exceed 20 percent of the economy.

Restructure regulation to end “too big to fail,” improve credit availability to entrepreneurs and small businesses, and increase regulatory accountability, and ensure that all regulations pass rigorous benefit-cost tests.

Improve our Social Security and Medicare programs by reducing their growth to sustainable levels, ensuring their viability over the long term, and protecting those in or near retirement.

Reform our healthcare system to harness market forces and thereby reduce costs and increase quality, empowering patients and doctors, rather than the federal bureaucracy.

Promote energy policies that increase domestic production, enlarge the use of all western hemisphere resources, encourage the use of new technologies, end wasteful subsidies, and rely more on market forces and less on government planners.

In "stark contrast," Obama, according to the economists, "has failed to advance policies that promote economic and job growth, focusing instead on increasing the size and scope of the federal government, which increases the debt, requires large tax increases, and burdens business with many new financial and health care regulations."

The economists note that Obama has:

Relied on short-term “stimulus” programs, which provided little sustainable lift to the economy, and enacted and proposed significant tax increases for all Americans.

Offered no plan to reduce federal spending and stop the growth of the debt-to-GDP ratio.

Failed to propose Social Security reform and offered a Medicare proposal that relies on a panel of bureaucrats to set prices, quantities, and qualities of healthcare services.

Favored a large expansion of economic regulation across many sectors, with little regard for proper cost-benefit analysis and with a disturbing degree of favoritism toward special interests.

Enacted health care legislation that centralizes health care decisions and increases the power of the federal bureaucracy to impose one-size-fits-all solutions on patients and doctors, and creates greater incentives for waste.

Favored expansion of one-size-fits-all federal rulemaking, with an erosion of the ability of state and local governments to make decisions appropriate for their particular circumstances.

"In sum, Governor Romney’s economic plan is far superior for creating economic growth and jobs than the actions and interventions President Obama has taken or plans to take in the future," the economists write. "This November, voters will make a fundamental choice between differing visions of America’s economic future."

.

Wild Thing's comment..........

In 2008 Americans voted for an image. They voted for an empty slogan. They voted for a skin color. They even voted against a man (G.W. Bush) who wasn't running for office.
This year they need to vote for prosperity. They need to vote for ideas that work. They need to vote to protect their children's future. They need to vote to end runaway taxation, regulation and spending. The need to vote for freedom.

The Movie ...'2016: Obama's America' Jumps Nearly 300 Percent at Box Office

'2016: Obama's America' Jumps Nearly 300 Percent at Box Office

The new documentary "2016: Obama's America" doesn't have fancy stars or a massive budget. It simply tries to deconstruct why President Barack Obama governs the way he does.

And it's striking a chord with the public, apparently.

"2016: Obama's America: came in number 13 at the box office over the weekend, representing a bump of 293 percent from the previous week. The film's per-screen average for Friday through Sunday soared to $7,391, the fifth highest average of any film over the weekend.

Those figures might have received a bump with a little unexpected publicity this week.

Just a few days ago, "2016" star Dinesh D'Souza wrote an op-ed explaining how he gave $1,000 to George Obama, the president's impoverished brother, in order to help pay for medical care for one of the man's sons. The mainstream press mostly ignored the event - it does reflect badly on the president, after all - so new media led the way once more.

Even people who hadn't heard of "2016" before suddenly had a fair idea what the documentary entails thanks to D'Souza's generosity.

Wild Thing's comment..........

I have been hearing from a lot of people that saw the film and I am so glad Nick and I got to see it too. I wish the Obama voters would care enough about America to see it.

About 2016: Obama’s America

2016 Obama's America takes audiences on a gripping visual journey into the heart of the world’s most powerful office to reveal the struggle of whether one man's past will redefine America over the next four years. The film examines the question, "If Obama wins a second term, where will we be in 2016?"

Across the globe and in America, people in 2008 hungered for a leader who would unite and lift us from economic turmoil and war. True to America’s ideals, they invested their hope in a new kind of president, Barack Obama. What they didn't know is that Obama is a man with a past, and in powerful ways that past defines him--who he is, how he thinks, and where he intends to take America and the world.

Immersed in exotic locales across four continents, best selling author Dinesh D’Souza races against time to find answers to Obama’s past and reveal where America will be in 2016. During this journey he discovers how Hope and Change became radically misunderstood, and identifies new flashpoints for hot wars in mankind’s greatest struggle. The journey moves quickly over the arc of the old colonial empires, into America’s empire of liberty, and we see the unfolding realignment of nations and the shape of the global future.

Emotionally engaging, 2016 Obama’s America will make you confounded and cheer as you discover the mysteries and answers to your greatest aspirations and worst fears.

Obama's Campaign Attacks Navy SEALs

Politically speaking, Navy SEALs aren't the safest targets to rail against in a presidential race, but the Obama campaign isn't hesitating to take down a group of former SEALs who've criticized the president's national security decisions.

On Thursday morning, campaign officials waged a full court press against the Special Operations OPSEC Education Fund, a group of former U.S. Special Forces and intelligence officials accusing President Obama of leaking vital national security secrets and taking too much credit for the killing of Osama bin Laden. When the group launched its anti-Obama media campaign Wednesday, consisting of TV ads and a 22-minute film, it wasn't clear if Obama officials would avoid a potentially messy confrontation or refute the military veterans publicly. But now the campaign has made clear it views the attacks in the same light as the 2004 John Kerry "Swift Boat" attack ads, which, however misleading, were painfully effective.

"The Republicans are resorting to 'Swift Boat' tactics because when it comes to foreign policy and national security, Mitt Romney has offered nothing but reckless rhetoric," Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt told Reuters' Mark Hosenball last night. Taking a direct shot at the leaders of OPSEC, an Obama campaign official lambasted the group's accusations about national security leaks this morning. “No one in this group is in a position to speak with any authority on these issues and on what impact these leaks might have," said the official, speaking on background, "and it’s clear they’ve resorted to making things up for purely political reasons.”

Iowa deli co-owner caters for Obama visit, but his T-shirt tells another story

Washington Post

Ross Murty likes business, but he doesn’t like President Obama.

And so the co-owner of the Village Corner Deli here agreed to cater Obama’s visit Wednesday — but not before donning a t-shirt blaring the message: “Government didn’t build my business. I did.”

…“No one from the government was there when we were sweating it, when we were building this business,” Murty said. Before him was a bank of chafing dishes filled with smoked beef brisket, pulled pork, vegetable parmesan bake and cheesy hash brown casserole provided to the White House press corps covering the president’s three-day swing across Iowa this week.

Murty, 45, a registered Republican, didn’t really have a choice with the catering job. His partner, Bret Dalton (a registered Democrat), accepted the work on Saturday while Murty was away in Chicago watching a Cubs game.

“One of Obama’s lead people came into the deli Saturday morning,” Dalton said. “I didn’t even know it was for Obama until that night.”

When he found out, though, Dalton had some fun. He called up Murty, who was driving back from Chicago, and asked: “Guess who’s coming to town this week?”

“He was a little stunned,” Dalton recalled. But the two take their political disagreements in stride, and the conversation was all in good fun, both said.

“I would never say no to anybody for any reason,” Murty said. “My partner and I have different views in politics, but business is business.”

The Obama campaign had no comment on Murty's T-shirt.

Wild Thing's comment..............

I love how the co-owner of the business had his Romney shirt on. Fantastic!!

Former CIA Agents Accuse Obama of Bragging About Bin Laden Raid

Former CIA Agents Accuse Obama of Bragging About Bin Laden Raid

Group launches campaign accusing Obama of taking credit for bin Laden raid

FOX News

A group of former military and intelligence operatives launched an aggressive campaign against President Obama Wednesday, accusing the president of claiming undue credit for the Usama bin Laden raid and suggesting his administration is behind politically motivated security leaks.

The group, called Special Operations OPSEC Education Fund Inc., unveiled a 22-minute video on its website, and pledged to go on air with a TV ad sometime in September.

In the video, an array of retired CIA agents and other intelligence personnel suggest the administration has been leaking security details for political gain, and specifically criticize the president over his public handling of the bin Laden raid.

"Mr. President, you did not kill Usama bin Laden. America did," Navy SEAL Ben Smith said in the video. "The work that the American military has done killed Usama bin Laden. You did not."

The web video showed clips of Obama's press conference in early May on the Pakistan raid, highlighting his comments about directing the mission. The video left out the rest of the remarks in which Obama thanked the "countless intelligence and counterterrorism professionals" involved.

So far in the presidential campaign, Vice President Biden has most frequently made the bin Laden raid a theme in political speeches.

On Wednesday, he repeated the quip that he's proposed a campaign bumper sticker: "Usama bin Laden is dead and General Motors is alive."

The Obama campaign, though, dismissed the video out Wednesday as akin to the "Swift Boat" ads rolled out against Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry in 2004.

"The Republicans are resorting to Swift Boat tactics because when it comes to foreign policy and national security, Mitt Romney has offered nothing but reckless rhetoric," Obama spokesman Ben LaBolt said. "His two major foreign policy speeches never even mentioned Al Qaeda once, and he hasn't outlined a plan for America's relations with a single region of the world. In 2008, the President said he'd end the war in Iraq in a responsible way and refocus on taking out Al Qaeda's leaders, and few would question that he's kept his word."

The group, while reportedly claiming to be nonpartisan, is led by a former Navy SEAL who once ran for Congress as a Republican.

The group seems to be most focused on the controversy over security leaks. Those leaks are currently under investigation by Justice Department attorneys.

The narrator in the video says former military and intelligence operatives who understand the importance of operational security "have had enough."

"Their mission -- stop the politicians from politically capitalizing on U.S. national security operations and secrets," the narrator says, as a picture of Obama flashes on screen.

Obama has condemned the leaks. He said in June that the issue is "a source of consistent frustration" for his and prior administrations.

.

Wild Thing's comment................

This video shows that one of our greatest national security threat comes from WITHIN!!! Barak Hussein Obama values only his OWN political survival over the lives of the military service men and women. He had no respect for the military before he became President when active in Chicago socialist activities and it is playing out shockingly so through these leaks.

God Bless The Seals And Everyone Fighting On Behalf Of This Country Despite The Piece Of Garbage In The White House.

U.S. Special Forces Group Rips Obama For Bragging He Killed Bin Laden, Intel Leaks

U.S. Special Forces Group Rips Obama For Bragging He Killed Bin Laden, Intel Leaks

Reuters

A group of former U.S. intelligence and Special Forces operatives is set to launch a media campaign, including TV ads, that scolds President Barack Obama for taking credit for the killing of Osama bin Laden and argues that high-level leaks are endangering American lives.

Leaders of the group, the Special Operations OPSEC Education Fund Inc, say it is nonpartisan and unconnected to any political party or presidential campaign. It is registered as a so-called social welfare group, which means its primary purpose is to further the common good and its political activities should be secondary.

In the past, military exploits have been turned against presidential candidates by outside groups, most famously the Swift Boat ads in 2004 that questioned Democratic nominee John Kerry’s Vietnam War service.

The OPSEC group says it is not political and aims to save American lives. Its first public salvo is a 22-minute film that includes criticism of Obama and his administration. The film, to be released on Wednesday, was seen in advance by Reuters.

“Mr. President, you did not kill Osama bin Laden, America did. The work that the American military has done killed Osama bin Laden. You did not,” Ben Smith, identified as a Navy SEAL, says in the film.

“As a citizen, it is my civic duty to tell the president to stop leaking information to the enemy,” Smith continues. “It will get Americans killed.”

An Obama campaign official said: “No one in this group is in a position to speak with any authority on these issues and on what impact these leaks might have, and it’s clear they’ve resorted to making things up for purely political reasons.”

Rush Limbaugh: " I don’t remember a vice presidential pick that has so energized a campaign as this choice of Paul Ryan"

RUSH:

I actually wasn’t surprised by this. Folks, I gotta tell you something. I’ve been trying to think, honestly, objectively think the whole weekend. And I’m gonna ask you. Maybe I’m forgetting something. I don’t recall a vice presidential pick which has so energized the party. I don’t remember a vice presidential pick that has so energized a campaign as this choice of Paul Ryan.

These crowds, these standing-room-only crowds, the enthusiasm at these rallies, something about this, just a gut feeling I have. I don’t want to attach too much to it because it was gonna happen anyway, a vice presidential pick, but I’ve been thinking about this all weekend long. I go back and forth, the positives, the negatives, the strict political science analysis of it. Then you compare that with just the gut feel, and you come away with… at least I have come away with the following conclusion. This is it. This election, we’ve said it before and others have said it, but this is ball game.

I mean that sincerely. But my dad [had] a lot of wisdom. Every time someone tell you, say, 'Look, let me tell you what's important to me, what I value.' My dad would go, 'No, no. Don't tell me what you value. Show me your budget, and I will tell you what you value.'"

Charles Krauthammer on the Romney/Ryan Team

Krauthammer: ‘Change Is Now On The Side Of The Republicans’

Saturday morning, political analyst Charles Krauthammer offered insight on Mitt Romney’s selection of Rep. Paul Ryan as his vice presidential running mate. He said two major things have changed with the addition of Ryan to the political campaign picture.

First is Ryan’s youth. But second, is the shifting grounds and changing of the debate dynamic brought forth by Ryan’s presence.

Krauthammer cited Ryan’s invocation of faith in his remarks on the USS Wisconsin Saturday when he said ‘our rights are from nature and God.’ By doing this, Krauthammer said a Romney / Ryan ticket is running on what is essentially the argument: “no” to the status quo.

After running in 2008 on a platform of ‘hope and change,’ Krauthammer says Obama’s failure to deliver on campaign promises leaves an opening for Romney and Ryan. “You had your shot at charisma and hope and change,” Krauthammer said. “It’s not hope and change [...] it’s a rather dismal, declining America.”

“Change is now on the side of the Republicans.”

Leading Democrat Calls Obama's Super PAC Cancer Ad “Disgusting,” Calls On Burton To Apologize

ABC news

Lanny Davis, a former top adviser to President Bill Clinton, today issued a scathing rebuke to a controversial new Democratic super PAC ad that ties Mitt Romney to a woman’s death from cancer.”

I’m pretty sad for our country that we have presidential candidates engaging in sophomoric — and that’s a compliment — sophomoric name calling,” Davis said in an interview on WMAL radio in Washington.

Davis says both Romney and Obama, and their supporters, have sponsored ads “that make us all want to take a shower.” But when it comes to the cancer ad, he said the pro-Obama super PAC Priorities USA Action has gone too far.

“Bill Burton needs to go back to ethics school,” Davis said of the group’s senior strategist, who is a former Obama White House spokesman. “He knows perfectly well that the ad is misleading and disgusting and he needs to apologize for it.”

Small Business Owner Threatens To Sue Obama Over Campaign Ad

The owner of a specialty deli at Findlay Market wants her store’s name removed from an ad President Obama used to explain his record on small business.

Ten seconds into the ad “Always,” an employee is shown from behind, pushing up the security door of Krause’s while Obama talks about owners sacrificing to make their businesses run. The owner of the store, Debra Krause-McDonnell, said she did not give permission for her business to be shown and that some customers have told her they’ll no longer shop there. She says she’s “contemplating legal action.”

Obama's Hate For Success of American Citizens Getting Worse

'

Obama warns ‘Romney Hood’ will take from poor, give to rich

Yahoo news

Barack Obama told cheering supporters at a fundraiser in Connecticut on Monday that Mitt Romney’s tax plan would raise taxes on middle-class Americans to pay for a tax cut benefiting the very rich: “It’s like Robin Hood in reverse. It’s Romney Hood.” His remarks drew laughter and applause.

Obama pointed to a recent study of Romney’s approach by the independent Tax Policy Center that speculated that, to pay for his proposed tax cut on the wealthiest Americans, the former Massachusetts governor would have to end popular measures like the mortgage and child deductions and the Earned Income Tax Credit — which chiefly benefit middle-class and poor Americans.

“He’d ask the middle class to pay more in taxes so that he could give another $250,000 tax cut to people making more than three million dollars a year,” Obama said.

"They have tried to sell us this trickle-down, tax-cut fairy dust before. And guess what? It does not work. It didn't work then, it won't work now," the president said. "It's not a plan to create jobs, it's not a plan to reduce our deficit, and it is not a plan to move our economy forward."

Obama's reference to the legendary mythical noble-turned-outlaw was part of an aggressive effort to counter the Republican's attacks on the president's greatest vulnerability — the ailing economy, still sputtering three and a half years after he took office.

"We do not need — I do not need — a tax cut," the president said.

Success!!! NASA's 'Curiosity' Rover Lands on Mars...

The car-size, one-ton rover Curiosity touched down on Mars at 1:31 a.m. EDT Monday.

NASA's most high-tech Mars rover on Sunday zeroed in on the red planet where it will attempt a tricky celestial gymnastics routine during a "seven minutes of terror" plummet through the atmosphere.

The Curiosity rover was poised to hit the top of the Martian atmosphere at 13,000 mph. If all goes according to script, it will be slowly lowered by cables inside a massive crater in the final few seconds.

NASA was ready for the "Super Bowl of planetary exploration," said Doug McCuistion, head of the Mars exploration program at NASA headquarters.

"We score and win or we don't score and we don't win," said McCuistion.

If all goes well, mission control at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory should hear a signal at 10:31 p.m. Pacific. The space agency warned that confirmation could take longer if an orbiting spacecraft that's supposed to listen for Curiosity during the descent is not in the right place.

Curiosity's trajectory was so accurate that engineers decided to wave off a last chance to tweak its position before atmosphere entry.

15 Military Groups Up in Arms in Opposing Obama's Ohio Voters Lawsuit (Video)

15 Military Groups Oppose Obama's Ohio Voters Lawsuit

Bloomberg

The National Guard Association of the United States and more than a dozen other fraternal military groups asked a U.S. judge for permission to intervene in and oppose a lawsuit filed by President Barack Obama’s campaign challenging the fairness of Ohio’s early voting rules.

The campaign sued Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Secretary of State Jon Husted on July 17, claiming the state’s two-tiered early voting process violates the U.S. Constitution’s guarantees of equal protection under the law.

State law allows families of armed forces members and civilians overseas to vote through the Monday before an election while early voting for all other Ohioans ends the preceding Friday. The campaign seeks a court order invalidating the statutes.

“Members of the U.S. Armed Forces risk their lives to keep this nation safe and defend the fundamental constitutional right to vote,” the military groups said in in their request to intervene in the case.

“The Obama campaign’s and Democratic National Committee’s argument that it is arbitrary and unconstitutional to afford special consideration, flexibility, and accommodations to military voters to make it easier for them to vote in person is not only offensive, but flatly wrong as a matter of law,” the groups said.

Wild Thing's comment................

Actor Clint Eastwood Endorses Mitt Romney for President: “We’ve Got to Just Spread the Word and Get the Whole Country Behind This”

Romney: “Can I get Clint Eastwood to come up here and say hi to everybody?”

Eastwood walked up and said something inaudible and Romney laughed.

Eastwood: “This is very nice to be here today, tonight, today. Let’s clear the smoke.

“I was doing a picture in early 2000s called Mystic River in his home state. At that time Gov. Romney was running for governor. I said, God this guy is too handsome to be governor but he does look like he could be president. As the years have gone by I’m beginning to think even more so that.”

“He’s going to restore a decent tax system that we need badly so that there is a fairness and people are not pitted against one another of whose paying taxes and who isn’t.”

“Also we don’t want anybody taking away the Olympic medals, tax wise, from the Olympic athletes. The government is talking about getting a couple of nickles.”

“It’s now more important than ever that we need Gov. Romney and I’m going to be voting for him as I know most of you will be … we’ve got to just spread the word and get the whole country behind this…”

Romney:... then took back the microphone: “He just made my day. What a guy.”

Mitt Romney, Military Groups Slam Obama Attempt to Block Giving U.S. Military Special Voting Privileges in Ohio

Mitt Romney responds to news President Barack Obama is attempting to block an Ohio law that gives members of the U.S. Military an extra three days for early-voting. The law attempts to assist members of the military overseas who often have difficulty in getting their absentee votes in on time.

Obama Sues to Restrict Military Votes From Counting

Obama Sues to Restrict Military Votes From Counting

Breitbart

On July 17th, the Obama for America Campaign, the Democratic National Committee and the Ohio Democratic Party filed suit in OH to strike down part of that state’s law governing voting by members of the military. Their suit said that part of the law is “arbitrary” with “no discernible rational basis.”

Currently, Ohio allows the public to vote early in-person up until the Friday before the election. Members of the military are given three extra days to do so. While the Democrats may see this as “arbitrary” and having “no discernible rational basis,” I think it is entirely reasonable given the demands on servicemen and women’s time and their obligations to their sworn duty.

The National Defense Committee reports:

Source

"For each of the last three years, the Department of Defense’s Federal Voting Assistance Program has reported to the President and the Congress that the number one reason for military voter disenfranchisement is inadequate time to successfully vote. "

I think it's unconscionable that we as a nation wouldn't make it as easy as possible for members of the military to vote. They arguably have more right to vote than the rest of us, since it is their service and sacrifice that ensures we have the right to vote in the first place.

If anyone proposes legislation to combat voter fraud, Democrats will loudly scream that the proposal could "disenfranchise" some voter, somewhere. We must ensure, they argue, that voting is easy and accessible to every single voter. Every voter, that is, except the men and women of our military.

Make no mistake, the Democrat lawsuit is intended to disenfranchise some unknown number of military voters. The judge should reject it with prejudice.

.

Wild Thing's comment...............

This human flesh Obama is killing me. Every single day he does and says things that make me so furious.

I don't remember any President ever having a lawsuit against States, our military or anything else. Obama is a first to do all these lawsuits.

With No Proof Harry Reid A Known LIAR..... Attacks Mitt Romney

Vile POS Harry Reid Accuses Romney Of Not Paying Taxes For 10 Years, This Time On Senate Floor...

REID: I would suggest that when we’re talking about trust, that we look no further than the person my friend the Speaker of the House wants to be president. He’s refused to release his tax returns, as we know. If a person coming before this body wanted to be a cabinet officer, he couldn’t be if he did the same refusal Mitt Romney does about tax returns. So the word’s out that he hasn’t paid any taxes for ten years. Let him prove that he has paid taxes, because he hasn’t. We already know from one partial tax return that he gave us, he has money hidden in Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, and a Swiss bank account. Not making that up, that’s in the partial year that he gave us. Mitt Romney makes more money in a single day than the average middle-class family makes in two years–or more.

.

Mitt Romney To Harry Reid On Tax Dodge: 'Put Up Or Shut Up'

“It’s time for Harry Reid to put up or shut up. Harry’s going to have to disclose who it is he spoke with because of course that’s totally and completely wrong. It’s untrue, dishonest and inaccurate. It’s wrong. So I’m looking forward to have Harry reveal his sources and we’ll probably find out it’s the White House. Look, the Obama campaign is going to do everything in its power to try and talk about anything besides the president’s record, home prices, median American incomes, gasoline prices, 23 million people underemployed or unemployed. They don’t want to talk about that.”

.

Limbaugh: Despicable Harry Reid Continues To Smear Mitt Romney

RUSH: Does he have no shame? We’re talking about a despicable human being here. Does Harry Reid have any shame? I think he drew the short straw on this. They probably assigned this to somebody, and Harry got the short straw. They sat around, “Somebody’s gonna take this public. Romney hasn’t paid his taxes. Harry, it’s your turn.” “Aw, I don’t — I don’t –” “Harry, it’s your turn, you gotta do it. Take one for the team.” And it’s entirely possible that Harry didn’t have to have this assigned, that he was just willing to do it on his own. It’s very typical. But that’s what this is about.

.

Wild Thing's comment..........

Mitt Romney makes more money in a single day than the average middle-class family makes in two years–or more.

THIS kind of statement of anyone screams of jealousy pure and simple. Harry Reid is the most disgusting piece of human flesh.

Pelosi: If You’re Making "Over $250,000, You Don’t Get The Pie Sweetened For You"...

Daily Caller

“The fact is we’ve been very clear. President Obama has said it in his campaign and since then and in this campaign as well. The Democrats want to be — have fairness in our tax code; that we want to go forward with giving — having the tax cuts for those making over $250,000, a couple making over $250,000, to have those tax cuts expire,” said Pelosi on Thursday at the Capitol.

“What that is is a tax cut for 100 percent of the American people. It’s just that over $250,000, you don’t get the pie sweetened for you. And with that, to say when we go down that path and inject some more certainty into our economy and our fiscal soundness, we then go to the table, put everything on the table and talk about tax fairness, tax simplification. You cannot do it dribs and drabs. You have to do it comprehensively.”

U.S. Olympians Have To Pay Taxes On Medals and Their Win ~ DISGUSTING!

Weekly Standard

Even by the standards of our government, the numbers are insane.

For instance: Americans who win bronze will pay a $2 tax on the medal itself. But the bronze comes with a modest prize—$10,000 as an honorarium for devoting your entire life to being the third best athlete on the planet in your chosen discipline. And the IRS will take $3,500 of that, thank you very much.

There are also prizes that accompany each medal: $25,000 for gold, $15,000 for silver, and $10,000 for bronze.

Silver medalists will owe $5,385. You win a gold? Timothy Geithner will be standing there with his hand out for $8,986.

So as of this writing, swimmer Missy Franklin—who's a high school student—is already on the hook for almost $14,000. By the time she's done in the pool, her tab could be much higher. (That is, unless she has to decline the prize money to placate the NCAA—the only organization in America whose nuttiness rivals the IRS.)

ATR notes that the real twist of the knife is that most other Olympians won't pay any taxes on their medals because America is one of only a handful of countries which taxes "worldwide" prize income earned overseas.

.

Wild Thing's comment..........

Not sure who came up with doing this, but I find it very offensive. Our country does not help these athelets like so many countries do and then to turn around and tax them on their medals .....sheesh.

Second Term Plans From Obama To Transform US Military Into Social Workers

Obama Transforming US Military Into Social Workers

WND

Progressive organizations behind White House policy have crafted specific, second-term plans for President Obama to transform the U.S. Armed Forces into a social work-style organization designed to combat “global warming,” fight global poverty, remedy “injustice,” bolster the United Nations and increase “peacekeeping” forces worldwide.

The groups, already instrumental in influencing Obama’s first-term defense agenda, call for massive, second-term slashes to the military budget. The savings are to be used to invest in “sustainable energy” and in fighting worldwide climate change.

The schemes, and many more, are documented in the soon-to-be-released book “Fool Me Twice: Obama’s Shocking Plans for the Next Four Years Exposed.”

The book, by New York Times bestselling authors Aaron Klein and Brenda J. Elliott, uncovers the template for Obama’s next four years – the actual, extensive plans created by Obama’s own top advisers and progressive strategists.

Who needs a standing army?

“Fool Me Twice” documents how the major leagues of progressive groups with deep ties to the Obama administration got together to produce a comprehensive, 96-page report with specific recommendations for how Obama should reform the U.S. military during his second term in office.

This detailed blueprint, titled “A Report of the Task Force on a Unified Security Budget for the United States” (or 2012 Unified Security Budget), lays out a future Obama “defense” agenda.

The Unified Security Budget is a joint product of the Center for American Progress (CAP) and the Institute for Policy Studies (IPS). Previous recommendations from the two groups’ yearly Unified Security Budgets have been adapted by the Obama administration.

he Center for American Progress, as “Fool Me Twice” relates, was behind some of Obama’s first term agenda. CAP is run by John Podesta, a former chief of staff to President Bill Clinton who was co-chairman of President Obama’s 2008 White House transition team.

Podesta and CAP have had heavy influence on the crafting of White House policy. CAP routinely releases policy reports that are reportedly used in the formulation of Obama administration policy.

A Time magazine article profiled the influence of Podesta’s Center for American Progress in the formation of the Obama administration, stating that “not since the Heritage Foundation helped guide Ronald Reagan’s transition in 1981 has a single outside group held so much sway.”

Coalition of Black Pastors Furious with Obama Over His Stand On Gay Marriage and Wanting To Ban Chick-Fil-A

Coalition of Black Pastors Furious with Obama Over His Stand On Gay Marriage and Wanting To Ban Chick-Fil-A

The President of the Coalition of African-American Pastors says supporters of traditional marriage are facing the same discrimination that blacks faced during the civil rights movement.

“Some people are saying because of the position that Chick-fil-A has taken - they don’t want them in their cities,” Rev. William Owens said at the National Press Club on Tuesday.

“It’s a disgrace. It’s the same thing that happened when I was marching for civil rights, when they didn’t want a black to come into their restaurant, they didn’t want us staying in their hotels. Now they’re saying, because we take a Christian position, they don’t want us in their cities."
Owens continued, “Well, we won’t take it. We will stand up and they will learn, they will learn that they can’t do that to any people, by destroying religion, by destroying the family, we will stand up.”

CAAP held the conference to announce it’s “Mandate for Marriage” campaign, a nationwide effort to urge black voters to refrain from supporting President Barack Obama unless he retracts his support for gay marriage.

The restaurant chain Chick-fil-A became a focal point in the gay marriage debate after company president Dan Cathy told the Baptist Press that the company was "guilty as charged" for backing "the biblical definition of a family.”

AT he National Press Club in Washington DC, a group of Black clergy spoke out in opposition to Obama's stance on same sex marriage. They are launching a nationwide campaign to raise awareness about the issue and are calling on Black Americans to withdraw their support from BHO ( Barack Hussein Obama) . Their mission is to save the family.

BHO had previously announced his support of gay marriage and the issue will part of the Democratic Platform come convention time.

Rev. William Owens, President and Founder of the Coalition of African-American Pastors was very vocal and harsh words for BHO. The pastors had requested a meeting with Obama and Holder to discuss the issue of gay marriage. Obama has not responded in any fashion. Obama has ignored the Black community and is taking them for granted because he [Obama] feels they are in his pocket.

He goes on to talk about all the issues facing the Black community including education, high crime in the black community and high unemployment in the Black community. Instead Obama and the Left has chosen a path that involves the Liberal Hollywood elite, Gay and Lesbians and Big Money Donors while ignoring the Black Community that helped Obama ride to victory in 2008.

He goes on to rip the President, criticizing him for bowing to Big Money. He is concerned about the destruction of family and religion. He is sharply critical of Blacks giving the President a free pass because he [Obama] is black.

He wants BHO to admit he made a mistake with regards to his support of gay marriage.

.

Wild Thing's comment...............

They are truly upset, and for Obama to ignore them is making them even more upset. These people have been used by Obama and actually if they wake up completely they have been used by the entire democrat party.
