Bush Hits a Grand Slam

Our President has chosen Federal Judge Samuel Alito as his next Supreme Court nominee. Alito is often called "Scalito" because of his judicial similarity to Justice Scalia. I am proud of President Bush, he has indeed gotten the message and will no longer alow the minority Democrats to dictate who his nominees will be.

Now let the fight begin and I am ready for it. I am sick up to ^ with the Dems behaving like they are the Majority and treating us like we are renting the country from them. I am thrilled with this choice!

Harry Reid is crying this Halloween night he won't get any candy either! Here is what he had to say......

"I am disappointed in this choice for several reasons. First, unlike previous nominations, this one was not the product of consultation with Senate Democrats. Last Friday, Senator Leahy and I wrote to President Bush urging him to work with us to find a consensus nominee. The President has rejected that approach."

Kennedy has not chimmed in yet but he may have to eat his words ......heh heh..........

SEN. TED KENNEDY (D-MA): “You Have Obviously Had A Very Distinguished Record, And I Certainly Commend You For Long Service In The Public Interest. I Think It Is A Very Commendable Career And I Am Sure You Will Have A Successful One As A Judge.” (Sen. Ted Kennedy, Committee On The Judiciary, U.S. Senate, Hearing, 4/5/90)

Howard Dean is well, I have not seen what he said yet. I will post it later when I see it.

Let's look back in time to what some of the DemoRats have said about Alito:

SEN. FRANK LAUTENBERG (D-NJ): “I Believe Mr. Alito Has The Experience And The Skills To Be The Kind Of Judge The Public Deserves – One Who Is Impartial, Thoughtful, And Fair. I Urge The Senate To Confirm His Nomination.” (Sen. Frank Lautenberg, Congressional Record, 4/27/90, p. S5281)

FORMER SEN. BILL BRADLEY (D-NJ): “[T]he Confirmation Of Sam Alito As U.S. Attorney For New Jersey Is Testimony To The Commitment He Has Shown And The Success Of His Efforts As A Law Enforcement Official. I Am Confident That He Will Continue To Do All He Can To Uphold The Laws Of This Nation With The Kind Of Determination And Vigor That Has Been His Trademark In The Past.” (Sen. Bill Bradley, Congressional Record, 12/8/87, p. S17427)

BWHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Judge Alito’s first confirmation - in April of 1990. He was confirmed by unanimous consent - reported favorably from the Democrat-controlled Judiciary Committee by none other than Joe Biden.

Nineteen currently serving Senate Democrats were part of that unanimous consent.

Christopher Dodd
Joseph Lieberman
Joseph Biden
Daniel Inouye
Tom Harkin
Paul Sarbanes
Barbara Mikulski
Edward Kennedy
John Kerry
Carl Levin
Max Baucus
Harry Reid
Frank Lautenberg
Jeff Bingaman
Kent Conrad
Patrick Leahy
Robert Byrd
Jay Rockefeller
Herbert Kohl

Check out other webblogs that are posting about this too. Beth at My Vast Right Wing Conspiracy even has fireworks. Tah dah!
STOP The ACLU, and Don Surber, a very nice photo of Samuel Alito's family over at Wizbang's

By All Means... Let's Help Them Get To Paradise

What is next Disneyland for Terrorists? Good grief now we hear that the so called "martyrs", you know the death seekers and destroyers aka suicide bombers might be called "Paradise Operations".

How about a response to the lefties that used this last week for their acts of the most vile, sick, unbeliveable, disgusting behavior to our troops, their families and loved ones. The lefties want us to pull out of Iraq, they want us to fail, they pray that we fail. But they can put their opinion where the sun does not shine. And go back to living under a rock some place....bye wouldn't want to be ya!

Instead let's see what the Media does not want us to know. What they just can't stand to share and they know about it but to them it would show how great our Military is and how awesome are troops are in all they have accompolished!

This is why are troops are there and should stay there until the job is complete. Click Here to see Video

.

And this is what our troops have to say to the lefties, the anti-Americans!

.

.

"For all the free people that still protest.
You're welcome.
We protect you and you are protected by the best.
Your voice is strong and loud,
but who will fight for you? No one standing in your crowd.
We are your fathers, brothers, and sons,
wearing the boots and carrying guns.
We are the ones that leave all we own,
to make sure your future is carved in stone.
We are the ones who fight and die,
We might not be able to save the world,
Well, at least we try.
We walked the paths to where we are at
and we want no choice other than that.
So when you rally your group to complain,
take a look in the back of your brain.
In order for that flag you love to fly
wars must be fought and young men must die.
We came here to fight for the ones we hold dear.
If that's not respected, we would rather stay here.
So please stop yelling, put down your signs,
and pray for those behind enemy lines.
And then when the conflict is over and all is well,
be thankful that we chose to go through hell."

Theodore's World A Little of This and a Little of That

Here at Theodore's World aka PC Free Zone Gazette. There are sometimes things that a photo speaks for itself, or there may be something that is not important enough to do an entire post about. Like spending more then a few words on the likes of breeder Sheehan and her vileness. And then of course I love posting photos of our awesome troops.( big smile of pride on my face) I am so very proud of them.

U.S.Navy

Iraqi and Afghanistan Navy

Breeder (no Mother as far as I am concerned)Cindy Sheehan

The face of the Democratic anti-war movement. She was the face of the Democratic base. At the National Press Club. She spoke to a nearly empty room. There were only a couple of foreign journalists there. Zilch attendance. Nobody cared that Cindy Sheehan was speaking. ha ha ho ho heh heh......Your 15 minutes of fame are up Cindy!

They hate America and Israel
They want us dead, but not right now they are busy praying......
A few years ago I got this from my friend Linda at Something....And Half of Something and I saved it. heh heh

"A World Without Zionism".... I think NOT!

Addressing a meeting titled, "A World Without Zionism", Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad provided with a look into his demented mind, the way Hitler did in Mein Kampf.

He declared "The world arrogant powers founded the Zionist regime at the heart of the Muslim world as a base for their own expansionist intentions."

He added that a world with out the United States and Israel is a possibility.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stood by his call for Israel to be 'wiped off the map', as thousands of Iranians marched through Tehran on Friday chanting 'death to Israel' and 'death to America'. My words are the exact words of the Iranian people," said the hardline President.

Iran 'lets al-Qaeda roam free'

From correspondents in Berlin
October 27, 2005
IRAN is permitting around 25 high-ranking al-Qaeda members to roam free in the country's capital, including three sons of Osama bin Laden, a German monthly magazine reports.

Citing information from unnamed Western intelligence sources, the magazine Cicero said in a preview of an article appearing in its November edition that the individuals in question are from Egypt, Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia and Europe. They are living in houses belonging to Iran's Revolutionary Guards, the report said.

"This is not incarceration or house arrest," a Western intelligence agent was quoted as saying. "They can move around as they please."

The three sons of Osama bin Laden in Iran are Saeed, Mohammad and Othman, Cicero reported. Another person enjoying the support of the Revolutionary Guards is al-Qaeda spokesman Abu Ghaib, the report said.

Iran first said late last year that it had arrested and would try a number of foreigners suspected of having links to al-Qaeda, a loose network of military groups that Washington blames for the attacks of September 11, 2001 and bomb attacks in Spain, Indonesia, Egypt and elsewhere.

The report in Cicero also accused the Revolutionary Guards' secret service of offering logistical support and military training to senior al-Qaeda leaders.
Iran has repeatedly denied any link to or support of al-Qaeda.
Britain and the United States suspect Iran of supporting insurgents in Iraq, a charge Tehran has vehemently denied.

Wild Thing comment....

Islam and most of the Arabs have made it clear that they want the world at any cost beginning with Israel, then America and the rest of the free world. When the Muslims live in any free world, they demand their own way of life, schools, courts, say it and then the rest of the governments bow down to their demands. The Muslims are not interested in peace, They want to convert the rest of the world to Islam period. Open your eyes wide and see what is happening around you and do not be fooled.

It is a mistake to view the antagonists in the Middle East as the Palestinians against the Israelis. The fact is that it is the Palestinians and their allies against the United States and Israel. As Abbas went off to meet President Bush, official Palestinian radio was denouncing the United States because it had placed Saddam Hussein on trial.

Our leaders, and all the American people need to equate Palestinian terrorists with bin Laden and the Taliban. If we don’t then our war on terrorism is hypocrisy and will never be successful. He cannot fight one terrorist and coddle another and expect that we will believe he is sincere. Israel's enemies are OUR enemies here in the United States.

I have news for you, you cowardly, sniveling, moon god worshiping hostage taker and torturer. The real God is in charge. And you are not even a speed bump to Him. Enjoy Hell--you earned it.

American Fighting Men and Women

Click the Photo above to hear a song
This is my answer to the Cindy Sheehans, Michael Moore's, MoveOn.Org etc.and others here at my Traitors To America page at my web site, of this world, all the lefties that hate America, that abuse the freedoms we have by the things they say and do that go beyond the pale!
The American Fighting man
James L. Wattenbarger

I fought the British red coats; Served Washington with pride. I Marched with Grant, and yes, with Lee. I fell at Custer's side. I made the charge up San Juan hill. I "held" at the Alamo. A threat to peace-- The first world war, And I was called to go.

I shed my blood throughout War II, on sand and jungle tree; They pulled me from the flaming wrecks; They buried me at sea. At Korea's thirty eighth parallel I soldiered amid the sham. I left my loved ones, took up arms, And died in Vietnam.

On every conceivable battlefield, Desert sand to jungle marsh, I suffer the agonies, the mortal wounds, In conditions most brutal and harsh. I've viewed the bombed out cities And grieved for all that's lost; I ponder, in my saddest hour. . What could warrant such human cost?

The answer, of course, is freedom!

Freedom defines the job I do. I volunteer, I'm called, I serve, On freedom's maintenance crew. Yes, career or citizen soldier, I serve the higher plan, Of honor, God, and country--
I'm the American fighting man!

This is my most favorite quote.....

"Freedom!
No Word Was Ever Spoken
That Held Out Greater Hope,
Demanded Greater Sacrifice,
Needed More To Be Nurtured,
Blessed More The Giver,
Cursed More Its Destroyer,
Or Came Closer To Being God's Will On Earth.
And I Think That's Worth Fighting For."
General Omar Bradley

Wild Thing's Comment ....Regarding the terrorists:
KILL them ALL, do NOT take any as prisoners!
If I could have it my way we would NOT take ANY prisoners!
No, not one!
My vote would be to take that money we use to feed, put a roof over their sick heads, clothes on the ugly backs of the terrorists and give it to our troops and their families instead!
Let the Anti-American lefties feed them since they want to help them so much like Code Pink donating money to the insurgents.
And their celebrating the deaths of those in our Military.
The terrorists do not deserve to LIVE not even for one tiny second!
They worship death so I say let's help them obtain what they worship so desperately!
A dead terrorist is unable to do any more damage.
And don't give me that crap about how we would make them "martyrs"!
I would rather have them DEAD under any circumstances!
And there is NO way they would be true martyrs!

The out of control, UN-American, PRO Saddam, Pro death to Americans and death to our troops peaceniks, ACLU and all the various groups that lie in wait to use the death of one of our own to make their sick attempt at saying see we are loosing the war we need to leave, get out etc. when we (our fine Military) are WINNING and people are voting and improvements are being made in Iraq by our Military!
You guessed it, I dearly wish they would go away, go live in a country that is more suited to their socialist /Communist low life standards.
Teachers letting kids out of school to protest the war in Iraq.
Teachers doing this with kids to get them to protest.
Unbelievable! Little Johnny can't read, but by golly he can be used by his socialist minded teacher to promote her agenda against America!

Thousands upon thousands of men and women have served my country and thousands have died to give me my freedom. Each and every one of them Americans! And when it comes to a war called Vietnam, those who served from my land did the right thing. They fought to keep communism from spreading. Spreading one day to our very shores.
Yes it is here now and has seats in both Houses in government, and I hate that. BUT those men and women that went and fought in Vietnam did it with such honor and duty to country. I will love them with all that is in me. Just as I respect and love their patriotism the troops today, fighting terrorist in Iraq.

I want this war to be done quickly. But I also do not want it to be a war that is not finished, a war undone with lives of our men and women brought back knowing it was not run by the military but by politicians and peaceniks and polls. I don't want the lives we have already lost at Kandahar, Kuwait, Iraq yes and other places to be on a wall and our goals in this war not accomplished.

We are at War!
It is TIME TO SHOW OUR TRUE PATRIOTISM!
I am sick and tired of those gutless, pansy-*ssed liberals who refuse to pick up a rifle and step up to the plate to defend our nation. And the men and women that choose to NOT show support for our troops!
I am sick to my gut with the media whose constant diet of military bashing has hurt us so painfully in the past.
Our young men and women deserve something our Viet Nam veterans NEVER HAD.....and that is HOME SUPPORT!
As for me, personally, if I see just a hint of the gutless jerks I referred to above I can ONLY see them in one light - that being an enemy of my country now.
And you can take that to the bank!
It's TIME to show our true character as a nation.
One nation...under God...fighting for the right stuff.
And it is our military who are going to pay the bill.
And for me I Support our Troops with all my Heart and Soul!

Know Thy Enemy

Note that most of their service providers are American companies, despite the fact that the PIJ is a designated terrorist group.

Al Qaida makes extensive use of the internet to plan and execute operations, train and indoctrinate new generations of terrorists, and generally to overcome what limits the occupation of Afghanistan by US and Coalition forces imposes on them. The Internet is another front, another theater of operations.

"Being sneaky is hard work, and if aggressive measures cause jihadis to work harder and be more sneaky, the end result is more opportunities for them to slip up and for us to catch them when they do."-Aaron Weisburd (Global Jihad, the Internet and Opportunities for Counter-Terror Operations)

A Thank You to My Blog Mom

Hot off the Press at PC Free Zone Gazette at Theodore's World....Yep right here at my little Blog

Something I would like to share.
My Blog began Sept.of this year.
I want to thank my Blog Mom.

This is a picture of Linda....my Blog Mom

A year ago I got up my nerve to have a web site. My Blog Mom helped me step by step how to do a web site. She is an excellent teacher. Many times she would say do you understand and I would say a yes but my voice said I think so, hmmmm not completely. haha She knew by my voice on the phone I didn't 'get it' completely. Her patience was amazing and I finally did catch on and just as she said it would be second nature to me once I understood what to do. As I was doing the my web site she said to me that one day I would want to have a Blog. I said on noooo way. haha But once again she was right and a year to the day almost I said " OK I want to have a Blog."

I want to make this post as a tribute to her. Her name is Linda and she has the Blog " Something...and Half of Something"

Linda is one of my Heroes for many reasons. She is true to herself, she is real and her word means something. I am honored to call her my friend and we have become sort of adopted sisters over the years.
A person can count themselves rich beyond belief to know and have for a friend like Linda.

Thank you Blog Mom for being my inspiration and friend.

Dangerous Left Tops Itself Once Again

I am bringing this back up to the top.
I had posted it on Monday the 24th. But it is sooo important.

To my husband ( Retired Navy Vet), and to all the other men in my family that have served in various branches of the Military, to the Veterans of every war Americans fought in and to the troops serving now. I am so sorry about these people, Gold Star Mothers for Peace, I am sorry they exist!

Gold Star Mothers for Peace (breeders most definitely NOT mothers) are going to be holding parties across America to celebrate when the 2,000th soldier dies in the line of duty in Iraq. Oh they are organized all of them, and they are coming out from under rocks. Groups like American Friends Service Committee (hosted by the Gold Star Mothers for Peace), we all know that is Cindy Sheehan’s gig, others too …….just look at this……

"Soon we’ll be reaching another horrific milestone in the war in Iraq – the death of the 2,000th U.S. service member. AFSC, Military Families Speak Out, Gold Star Families for Peace, and Iraq Veterans Against the War are calling for people across the U.S. to stand up and say that the needless killing of U.S. troops and Iraqis must stop and that the resources funding this war are needed for other things."

These are the people whose sick minds hold up signs like this....

They are all prepared to hold events, parties you name it for the moment the 2000th soldier is killed in the line of duty in Iraq.

They are on the side of the insurgents, the side of the PLO, the side of the Taliban and anyone that can kill one of our soldiers. They are not against violence, they create violence, their hate and anger run deep, it is part of their DNA to hate America, to Hate our Military. They are the ones that are PRO death in their wanting abortions that murder innocent babies. And yet they are against the death penalty when someone has been proven to be a killer of innocent people. Their cheering on the deaths of our troops, they are cheering for every IED, for every suicide bomber, for every attack on our troops that might lead to the death of one of our soldiers. (Army,Navy, Air Force and Marines, National Guard, etc.) as long as they are killed in this war.

These people, these sick and twisted people live off the freedom we have and don’t give a damn you gave it to us. You and I know, we know that our freedom came at a very high price. It was paid for with the blood, and sacrifice of thousands of our Military in wars fought over the years. In Vietnam the wonderful Nam Veterans fought Communism. Our Veterans took a thousand towns and villages, snow fields and empty stretches of ocean, the jungles hot and deep, and fought the fight for FREEDOM, and turned them into sacred places with their courage in the face of unimaginable horror.

These sickos wants us to leave Iraq, to run away from the insurgents so the insurgents can show up later on our shores, in our cities and towns and kill not only us but these idiot sickos as well. They are soooo stupid they don’t even realize or perhaps they don’t care that the terrorists want them dead!

Long ago President Reagan felt we would have problems with Islam and it’s followers………

"I don't think you can overstate the importance that the rise of Islamic fundamentalism will have to the rest of the world in the century ahead-especially if, as seems possible, its most fanatical elements get their hands on nuclear and chemical weapons and the means to deliver them against their enemies." --Ronald Reagan

Right now there are 281 events planned in 47 States and more to join in probably. These sick groups are going to be asking Congress to stop funding this war. And what these people are doing is treasonous. ALL of them, every breath
they take in free air is because of our troops, our Veterans that paid the price for their being able to do what they are and these vile, treasonous, communists should be kicked out of our country.

The First Amendment is one thing...but these people are among the worst examples of humanity...what they are doing is beyond my imagination. Pure scum is all they are.

They camped out right where the soldiers have to wait to pick up public transportation. They're camped out by (and timed to coincide with) the buses bringing the freshly wounded from Andrews Airforce Base. The first thing the wounded see is not the safety of a military medical base - but "you got maimed for a lie". Forcing wounded soldiers to walk a gauntlet of hostile peaceniks when they're just trying to get treatment.

You already know that Code Pink donated a check for $600 K plus to the insurgents in Iraq. That is old news but it still makes me urious!

They don't give two hoots in hell about our troops or even the war - all they care about is getting their smarmy pink mugs on television.  Everything they supposedly stand for is a lie. There is not one single ounce of compassion in their empty hearts - it's all publicity and politics - period.

How often have we said of the hostile reception Vietnam vets got upon returning home: "Never Again. We will never allow our war vets to experience the demeaning treatment and hatred the left heaped upon them during Vietnam." This was going to be the generation of vets that felt appreciated, admired, and honored.

God help us as a Nation. lease pray for our troops! I invite you to visit my Troops Today page at my web site.

We are winning this war. I hate that men and women have lost their precious lives in this war. But there has never been peace without war.  America is a perfect example of this. And for myself, for my loved ones (family and friends) we will always be deeply grateful for those that gave us our freedom, and for the freedom our Military has fought for so others can taste freedom too.

Beth at My Vast Right Wing Conspiracy has an excellent write up about this too.

And also check it out at Blackfive too.

Update on Wilma

All is well here in Sarasota. Tons of tree branches down and neighbor had tiles from his roof come off. We walked the property and another neighbors fence is a mess.

Thank God we all are ok. Now I wait to hear back from other friends that are without power to get in touch with us.

As Israel Goes So Goes The World

There are two items in this post I would like to share with you

Item Number one........

A Quran In The White House

As we all know President Bush had a dinner celebrating Ramadan. At this dinner he proudly proclaimed...."For the first time in our nation's history, we have added a Koran in the White House Library."

Diane West that wrote the article said this and I agree.....

"the Koran is indisputably the favorite book to twist for the extremist agendas for Osama bin Laden, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the killers of Daniel Pearl, Hamas bus bombers, London Underground bombers, and anyone who has ever hidden an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) on an Iraqi road to kill or maim an American soldier -- none of which is the best recommendation for White House honors."

.

Natan Sharnasky,Chairman, One Jerusalem tells of his visit last May and how he had an opportunity to meet General John Abizaid, Commander of the U.S. Central Command, which is repsonsible for Iraq, Afghanistan, and several other hotspots in the war against America's enemies.
General John Abizaid described the enemy we are fighting as people who are committed to re-establishing the sixth century Muslim Caliphate. They started this process under the Taliban in Afghanistan. In practice, this Koran based system, gathered tens of thousands of people into stadiums to witness the executions of innocent people who were accused of acting contrary to the Koran.

Wild Thing Comment.......
Intellectually I suppose Bush has some reason (?) for doing this. But emotionally and when looking at ONLY the FACTS this can only make matters worse. To give in to Islam at all in any way, only encourages the terrorists to gain more and more control. No matter how many of us there are and no matter how passionate we feel about NOT giving in to the terrorists, it does not have the same impact as the leader of the most powerful country in the world, the good ole USA, the Red/White and Blue United States of America taking a strong and firm stand against Islam, against their vile Quran and agaisnt the demands of the Abbas's , the Osama's and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's of the world. The Quran is the center of their (the terrorists) violent campaign.

I voted for President Bush, I have been a Republican all my life and will continue to be. I have never regretted voting for President Bush. But no one is perfect and this IMO was a big mistake on our President's part when he could have stood strong against the axis of evil and their how to book.

Item Number Two.......

.

I received an email today from NewsMax about signing a Petition.

"Dear NewsMax Readers:

Please find below an urgent message from Natan Sharansky, Chairman of One Jerusalem.

Jerusalem's fate is in trouble and Natan needs your help to keep it one, united city. Please read his important information below and take a moment to sign his special petition."

This is very important and I agree with the Petition so I am passing it along.

'Today Gaza, tomorrow Jerusalem' - this slogan has been adopted by the President and Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority as well as terrorist organizations everywhere.

Make no mistake about it - Jerusalem is in the sights of the terrorists who are waging war against the United States, Israel, and peace-loving people worldwide.

I am writing you today to ask your help to save Jerusalem - and make sure it remains the capital of Israel. More Here

Natan also spoke out against the Disengagement that so many of us, Christians (like myself) and especially the thousands upon thousands of Jews that worked so hard to try and stop the disengagement.

“A tragic mistake that will exacerbate the conflict
with the Palestinians, increase terrorism and dim
the prospects of a genuine peace.”
Natan Sharansky
Former Minister of Diaspora Affairs-May 2005

Wild Thing Comment.......
Israelis made their desert bloom. They built the only industrialized economy in the entire Middle East. They built the only liberal democracy in the Middle East. I am a fierce supporter of Israel’s survival and have no sympathy for the Palestinian side in the conflict in the Middle East.

Terrorists see concessions as a victory and proof that their violence works, as the Oslo process and the withdrawal from south Lebanon have shown. That’s why everyone accepts that you don’t negotiate with terrorists. It is therefore only logical to conclude that further concessions will result in more terror when future demands are not met, as the PA leadership continues to proclaim.

Pissed Off

The reasons almost 2,000 American personel were murdered are:

1. Our power has made the European countries jealous and bitter. When they saw Saddam was out of power, they knew that they were trumped. Observing that we spared the Republican Guard who were the "Picadors" that were killing our soldiers, the Euros stood back and let us "get ours".

2. When we won the Iraqi war and we did! They realized that all their corrupt dealings with Saddam would come out so they played "hands off".

3. The Democrats meanwhile, are like the Officer who kept egging on the criminalization of Captain Quig until the Mutiny on the Caine was done. But when the court marshall occured he was no where to be found. He would NOT take responsibility!

4. If we weren't so soft in War (where we could easily wipe out ALL the Militants) because we don't want to be looked at as "bad" people. Iraqi would be free and thriving today. It is like going after Cancer only on the surface.

We have been too nice to our socialist Europeans! We saved them in WW11 and they hated us for that. Because it exposed how worthless they are. In the future we should learn from our mistakes and be PROUD of our power! And use it to its fullest extent without feeling guilty!

We Have GOT To Stop Playing Defense In This War!

Font in BOLD is my opinion throughout article

Washington Post
Karzai Condemns Alleged Body Desecration

By AMIR SHAH
The Associated Press
Friday, October 21, 2005; 8:28 AM

KABUL, Afghanistan -- President Hamid Karzai on Friday condemned the alleged desecration of the bodies of two dead Taliban fighters by U.S. troops, but he said mistakes happen in war and Afghans shouldn't let it mar their impression of the United States. Condemned???? did he condemn the attacks on the USS Cole, 9-11-Beriut and other attacks by Muslims on the US?

His apparent attempt to reduce Afghans' anger over the incident came amid warnings by Islamic clerics of a possible violent anti-American backlash.
Where was the Afghans anger at those that committed war on 9-11 and all the other attacks on Americans throughout the world!

"Sometimes things happen in these sort of operations, during war. Soldiers make mistakes," he told reporters in Kabul. "We are very grateful for the international community's assistance. ... Their soldiers have shed their blood in our country."

But he added, "We in Afghanistan in accordance with our religion ... are very unhappy and condemn the burning of the two Taliban dead bodies. I hope such incidents will not occur again."

Karzai on Thursday ordered an inquiry into television video that purportedly shows U.S. soldiers burning the bodies of the two dead Taliban fighters to taunt other militants. The U.S. military also launched an investigation.

The U.S. military declared the alleged abuse "repugnant" and vowed to investigate, while the State Department directed U.S. embassies to say such actions don't reflect American values.

Australia's SBS television network broadcast the video purportedly showing soldiers burning the bodies of two suspected Taliban fighters in hills outside Gonbaz village in the southern Shah Wali Kot district _ an area plagued by Taliban activity and considered by the local security forces as too dangerous to venture into unless accompanied by U.S. troops.

Viewers of the video saw a group of about five troops in light-colored military fatigues, which did not have any distinguishing marks, standing near to a bonfire in which two bodies were laid side by side. The flames obscured the view of the bodies, making it impossible to tell if the remains were of Taliban fighters.

The network said the video was taken by a freelance journalist, Stephen Dupont. Dupont, who told The Associated Press that he was embedded with the Army's 173rd Airborne Brigade, said the burnings happened Oct.1st.

Cremating bodies is banned under Islam, and one Muslim leader in Afghanistan compared the video to photographs of U.S. troops abusing prisoners at Iraq's Abu Ghraib prison.

"Abu Ghraib ruined the reputation of the Americans in Iraq and to me this is even worse," Faiz Mohammed told The Associated Press from northern Kunduz province. "This is against Islam. Afghans will be shocked by this news. It is so humiliating. There will be very, very dangerous consequences from this."
Threats? Threats ?? HEY! Show me where this Faiz Mohammed made threats to the Taliban after 9-11 !

A cleric in Kabul, Said Mohammed Omar, said, "The burnings of these bodies is an offense against Muslims everywhere. Bodies are only burned in hell."

Video of the alleged act has not been broadcast yet in Afghanistan and though the local media has reported on it, many people were still not aware of it. There have been no demonstrations such as the anti-American protests in May that turned violent and killed 15 people over a report _ later retracted _ that U.S. soldiers at the Guantanamo Bay detention facility desecrated Islam's holy book, the Quran.

Wild Thing's Comments continued in bold....
This is regarding the trashing of the vile Quran....
-Not one of these illegal enemy combatant detainee's
who came from Afghanistan had a Qur'an in his
possession when captured
-A brand new Qur'an in the specific, native language
of each individual was provided to each "enemy combatant".

-Each illegal enemy combatant detained at Guantanamo is
given three nutritious halal meals (culturally-appropriate and
in accordance with Islamic dietary law) per day. The meals
include all optional condiments.

-Each illegal enemy combatant detainee receives Muslim feast
meals at special times in accordance with Muslim feasts and holy
periods during the year.

-Each illegal enemy combatant detainee has unrestricted access
to Muslim Imams and religious instruction

-Each illegal enemy combatant detainee has a Quibla, a large
green and white sign in his cell which points toward Mecca.

-Each illegal enemy combatant detainee hears Islamic loudspeaker
calls to prayer five times daily.

-Each illegal enemy combatant detainee received a brand new
Muslim prayer cap.

-Each illegal enemy combatant detainee received a brand new
prayer rug

-Each illegal enemy combatant detainee received brand new
Islamic prayer beads. Each illegal enemy combatant detainee
received Islamic holy oil.

-Each illegal enemy combatant had ALL of this done and paid
for him at US taxpayer expense and this is far, far in excess of
requirements delineated by Geneva Convention Cat. III protocols
on the treatment of Prisoners of War. Why is none of this
information coming forth from the mainstream media?
On June 1, 2005 – Seventeen people were killed today when a suicide
bomber reportedly linked to al Qaeda and the Taliban blew himself
up in the Abdul Rub Akhundzadar Mosque in Kandahar province.

And this is a darn good reason to burn dead bodies…..

Stench Prompted U.S. Troops to Burn Corpses

Lt. Nelson took the decision that could jeopardize his service career. "We decided to burn the bodies," one soldier recounts, "because they were bloated and they stank."

Now look you terrorists!
You waaaaa and Boo Hoo about your freakin Quran and then you yourselves show no respect for it.
What do you do? You go and blow up your mosques where ...
hello......there are Qurans in there....YOUR place of worship and
you could care less about it. No condemnations when THAT happened!
NO outrage at all when one of your own does something against respecting your Quran, your mosques, your so called Religion of Peace.
Give me a break!

Movie Coming Out "Humanizing" Suicide Bombers

Coming to U.S. Film Fests: Movie "Humanizing" Palestinian Suicide Bombers

Posted by Tim Graham on October 22, 2005 - 10:18

And we thought PBS films were bad. David’s Medienkritik reports the German government has subsidized a sympathetic film about Palestinian suicide bombers."Paradise Now" tells the story of two Palestinian men, Said and Khaled, who are selected as the latest suicide bombers, and debate which way is best to defeat Israeli occupiers. This is supposed to help us by "humanizing" the assassins. Oh, but lucky us! It’s coming to America, to the film festival circuit. It’s been picked up by Warner Independent Pictures. And it's won an Amnesty International award.

The filmmaker, Hany Abu-Assad, told a German website he wouldn’t condemn suicide bombers: "The suicide attacks are a consequence of oppression, which first has to stop...I am against killing people, and I want that to stop. But I do not condemn the suicide attackers. For me, it is a very human reaction to an extreme situation." In their marketing materials, Warner Independent is trying to make "clear that the film is one that carries a message of peace," says spokeswoman LauaKim. "We are working with many organizations to help get the word out that the film is one to begin a dialogue, to ask questions."

Wild Thing's Comment....

When I read about this today it made me sick. What a bunch of bunk! As my best friend says " it feels like my head will explode". That is exactly how I feel. Such outrage and anger, this is the last thing the world needs is to feel compassion for suicide bombers. Good grief!

Let Our Troops Know We Are Here For Them

.

Christmas will be here soon and Soldiers Angels founder Patti Bader, is requesting help. I read about this over at Mudville Gazette.Soldiers Angels is a non-profit organization. As you can see on the right side of my Blog I have a logo and link to her site.

I'm not sure I could ever give the full picture - but let's just say that this is one organization that meets every need of our military members and their families:
From airplane tickets to hotel bills
clothing and furniture to diapers
holiday presents and cards
letters and carepackages
moral support and round the clock sit-by-your-side in the hospital until your family gets here support
blankets
thermals and socks to providing armored blankets for army vehicles
babysitting
food for military families with employment struggles
computers for the wounded.

That's not even the half of it! This is a powerful organization dedicated to meeting needs - no BS to get in the way.

She also has a "cool stuff designed by Patti" and you know how we girls love to shop, just give us an excuse. Well this time we can shop till we drop and at the same time show our pride in supporting our troops.

What else can you do to help Soldiers' Angels and Valour-IT?

* Donate to Both if that is possible

* In the work place, how about telling your co-workers about it. I know where I work there are several people that truly support our troops and want to help.

* Donate while also giving to your favorite Charity.
Check out Buy for Charity, which gives a percentage of your online purchases to your favorite charity. You must register at Buy for Charity just once, selecting Soldiers' Angels under the category "miscellaneous" or entering "angels" in the search box. Then when you purchase online from over 350 affiliated companies (like The Gap, Dell Computers, Overstock.com, and many military equipment sites), a portion of your purchase price is donated to Soldiers' Angels!

* I listen to a lot of Talk Radio while at work and on the way home. What about calling into one of the shows and telling them about Sodliers Angels.

Driving around I see a lot of stickers on vehicles of supporting our troops. I have them on mine too. That is great, but this is even more action taken then a sticker on a car.

This gets things done, it is walking the walk and talking the talk.

And a Merry Christmas to all and to all a safe night!

The Interview with Stephen Dupont (embedded journalist)

Jason has transcribed the interview with the embedded journalist, Steven Dupont.

"Stephen says that he does believe that the Airborne unit was burning the corpses of the two Taliban soldiers for hygenic purposes. We can get into rotting corpses later, but for our purposes here, lets keep it simple. The Airborne troops were ordered by their officers in the field to burn the corpses because they had been in the elements for 24 hours and were beginning to smell. Stephen recognizes that this was the intent of the Airborne troops, and it WAS NOT the intent of the Airborne troops to desecrate the bodies. As we’ll see a little later, the corpses were NOT placed deliberately facing West (toward Mecca) and that the corpses were merely burned for hygenic purposes.

We also see that the PsyOps group, in the opinion of Stephen Dupont, who was also on the scene for the later psychological operation, did INTEND to use statements designed to imply that the burning of the bodies was to desecreate them, to humiliate the Taliban soldiers taking refuge in the village. The PsyOps troops are not playing patty-cake here and Dupont realized this. Dupont admits that the PsyOps groups understood that their role was to inflict MENTAL STRESS on the holed up Taliban fighters with the INTENT to provoke them into coming out and fighting the Airborne troops guarding the perimeter. Dupont recognizes that PsyOps is a weapon of war."

For the complete Update please visit Jason......"So what's really going on. . . (The Interview with Stephen Dupont)"

Wild Thing comment....
This is not the end I am sure, but IMO it never should have been a "situation" to deal with. Our troops are busting their butts in Afghanistan, Iraq and all over the world. They deserve better then to have to answer for every breath they take, every shot that is fired and every bomb that goes off. We are winning this war, I believe that. Sure it is not going to be over in a few years, and we will loose precious lives. But if we keep letting the media, the lefties run this war from their desks, and from the street corners around the world......the terrorists will win. Those that make something out of nothing, they are aiding the enemy.....bet on it! Funny thing though.....the Terrorists want those aiding them just as dead as they want you and I that support our troops. That should tell us all how stupid the lefties are.
Thanks again Jason for the work you are doing on this.

Get The Agenda Seekers OUT of This War NOW!

The headlines scream out.....
U.S. Troops Burned Taliban Bodies

"Under the Geneva Conventions, soldiers must ensure that the "dead are honorably interred, if possible according to the rites of the religion to which they belonged."

Furthermore, the rules state that bodies should not be cremated, "except for imperative reasons of hygiene or for motives based on the religion of the deceased."

If you read the article you will see where it says...."The soldiers who burned the bodies said they did so for hygiene reasons." The Taliban soldiers had been dead for over 24 hours and were begining to become a concern.

And who the heck is Stephen Dupont?

His portfolio or shall we say what it REALLY is.....his AGENDA.... shows us: Children of the Wall in Palestine - boxers in Cuba - Inside Jihad - The Lions Last Roar in Afghanistan.

Please read what Jason Coleman and Dan Riehl have to say. Jason and Dan did an awesome job of research on this.

Wild Thing comment....
I remember when our soldiers were burned in a destroyed vehicle. Then dragged through the streets, dismembered, disemboweled and strung up on a bridge as trophes. And you can read this too from 2004, where they frenzied crowds dragged the burned, mutilated bodies of four American contractors through the streets of a town west of Baghdad on Wednesday and strung two of them up from a bridge after rebels ambushed their SUVs.
Well??? How soon people forget these horrors! And there was NO media outrage at this, but you can bet there will be about our soldiers buring dead bodies of Taliban. Sheesh!

And how many innocent people were burned to death on Sept.11,2001 because of Osama and the Taliban.

As for me I have had it with these agenda seekers and their attempts at attacking our troops. Have we lost our minds to political correctness? We're fighting a war. Why would we care what Islamic scum think about desecration of DEAD Taliban, when they behead LIVE people? I guess the video of Muslims sawing the head off a live American civilian wasn't worse? I have had about e-freakin'-nuff! Get the reporters off the front line. We don't have to see every single thing that occurs in theatre. Enough. The enemy can burn and behead and dangle and dismember and there's no outcry. Keep the press away and let our troops fight this war like they know how! It is a fact that the Taliban, when they ran Afghanistan, massacred Afghans and skinned their victims .... alive.

I for one, am very sick and tired of hearing 'we are better, we don't do that, we are above that'.

So, go ahead and try to impress the world that WE are 'above that' and see where we end up. I can tell you where we end up. A woman's panties placed on the head of a killer is more horrible than a beheading and is grounds for years in prison!!!!!! How insane is that? Our military are ham-strung, no beheading allowed. We are being sooooo 'above' the killers that we will all be dead when they say we are so above the terrorists.

Tell Me I am Dreaming This (a Nightmare but of course)

Good Grief look at this!

Spanish Judge Issues Warrants for Three U.S. Soldiers

MADRID, Spain — A judge has issued an international arrest warrant for three U.S. soldiers whose tank fired on a Baghdad hotel during the Iraq war, killing a Spanish journalist and a Ukrainian cameraman, a court official said Wednesday.

Judge Santiago Pedraz (search) issued the warrant for Sgt. Shawn Gibson, Capt. Philip Wolford and Lt. Col. Philip de Camp, all from the U.S. 3rd Infantry, which is based in Fort Stewart, Ga.

Jose Couso, who worked for the Spanish television network Telecinco, died April 8, 2003, after a U.S. army tank crew fired a shell on Hotel Palestine (search) in Baghdad where many journalists were staying to cover the war.

Reuters cameraman Taras Protsyuk, a Ukrainian, also was killed.

Pedraz had sent two requests to the United States — in April 2004 and June 2005 — to have statements taken from the suspects or to obtain permission for a Spanish delegation to quiz them. Both went unanswered.

He said he issued the arrest order because of a lack of judicial cooperation from the United States regarding the case.

The warrant "is the only effective measure to ensure the presence of the suspects in the case being handled by Spanish justice, given the lack of judicial cooperation by U.S. authorities," the judge said in the warrant. Continue reading....

Now wait just a War Time minute! Look we are at War this is not a tea party. Places get bombed and anyone that goes there to do stories, photo journalists etc. they know the risk and if they don't they better learn fast.

The Pentagon had no immediate information and said it was looking into it.

U.S. officials have insisted that the soldiers believed they were being shot at when they opened fire.

Following the Palestine incident, then-Secretary of State Colin Powell (search) said a review of the incident found that the use of force was justified.

In late 2003, the National Court (search), acting on a request from Couso's family, agreed to consider filing criminal charges against three members of the tank crew.

Fort Stewart spokeswoman Jennifer Scales said the three no longer are assigned to Fort Stewart or the 3rd Infantry Division.

De Camp, who is now an adjunct mathematics professor at the College of William & Mary (search) in Williamsburg, Va., said three investigations into the incident — two military investigations and one by the Committee to Protect Journalists — had exonerated all three men.

"We had no clue there were journalists over at that hotel," he said. "We would not have shot at them."

The retired officer also said his men were constantly taking risks by letting people get close to their convoy so that they could verify whether they were enemy combatants.

When asked if he would turn himself in, de Camp said, "I don't know, I've got to get some legal advice."

Pilar Hermoso, an attorney for Couso's family, welcomed the decision, although she recognized that it would be difficult to get the soldiers extradited to Spain, the state news agency Efe reported.

Small protests over the killing have been staged outside the U.S. Embassy in Madrid nearly every month since Couso's death.

Under Spanish law, a crime committed against a Spaniard abroad can be prosecuted here if it is not investigated in the country where it is committed.

U.S. Wants Abbas to Urge Non-Violence

WASHINGTON - The Bush administration is asking Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas to require candidates in next January’s election to renounce violence as a means of easing tensions with Israel, a senior U.S. official said Wednesday.

and this.....

The Bush administration has urged Abbas to dismantle Hamas and other groups considered to be terrorist organizations. While the Palestinian leader has denounced violence, he has not tried to keep the groups from fielding candidates for the legislature.

Well my cyber friends let us not forget what ole terrorist Abbas said......... " The little Jihad has ended and now the big Jihad is beginning." - quote from Terrorist / Prime Minister Mohammad Abbas

OH and let's not forget this one either...............
In a recent July 8th broadcast, Abbas-controlled PA TV calls to "annihilate the infidels [common reference to US and Western countries]… God, count them and kill them to the last one, and don't leave even one."

Wild Thing's Comment....
Israel's longtime enemy, and its enemy today, is of the very same terror that was launched on us on Sept.11,2001.... but, if less confounding, more routine and more tolerated. It is the world's acceptance of the routineization of this killing of Jews that has so
affronted Israel, its allies, and others like myself . Abbas will never keep his word, he is incapable of doing so. He is after all one of them, one of the terrorists! It is time to show that Jewish blood is NOT cheap and those who shed it will pay a tremendous price !
President Bush can ask Abbas to do many things, but will Abbas do as asked? Or will there be more demands on Israel? I pray we stand along side Israel always and let Abbas know very clearly where we stand.

NYT Wants Touchie Feelie Trial for Saddam

Saddam was a brutal dictator, a head-of-state who waged war on his neighbors and his own people. He ruled over his people with an iron fist, using torture and murder. From 1979 until 2003, Saddam Hussein ruled Iraq. Saddam supported terrorism in Israel, paying the families of Palestinian suicide bombers. He provided safe haven for Abu Abbas and other international terrorists.

And now he is finally going to be on trial for his many crimes!

But wait.......something is wrong with this picture! But of course it is the lefties, one that I will mention now is the New York Times! They are concerned, wringing their hands at the water fountain, having sleepless nights, moaning and groaning in the hallways and why?....They are concencerned that Saddam will not get a fair trial.

On Wednesday, 22 months after he was dragged from his hiding place in an underground bunker, Saddam Hussein will appear in an Iraqi court to answer for the brutalities he inflicted on his fellow Iraqis. But what should be a moment of triumph for his victims is instead stirring concern about the fairness and competence of the court itself.

Read on my friends of truth and those like me that are fed up with PC!

...Western human rights groups and legal experts have warned that the former dictator is unlikely to get a fair trial, and that the probable outcome, a death sentence, will be what the tribunal's harshest critics have described as "victor's justice."
.

Hello-o-o-o-ooooo! He has had enough justice just being able to be alive as long as he has in his jail cell. Give me a break! True Justice for Saddam will be to put an end to his life!

.

Soldiers at a United States camp in Baghdad
passed by busts of Saddam Hussein Monday. The former
dictator will appear in court Wednesday.

Baseball and Football Tonight

Three cheers for my Denver Brocnos! They won Denver 28 to N.E. 20. So I am a happy camper!

I am a Cubs fan so I don't have anyone I am cheering for in particular for the World Series.............BUT.......... tonight
La Rossa was thrown out of the game and also Jim Edmonds. Now here is the thing OK??!! These games are very important, they determine who goes to the World Series. Sooooooo shouldn't the umpires be a little more patient with the players and managers in this kind of situation? The homeplate umpire is a jerk! He had no patience at all and boom! wack! LaRossa was thrown out first.

I know the rules, honest, but tempers are hotter in these playoffs, the games mean more then ever and, well...these are just my thoughts on what happened tonight.

Anyway, St.Louis lost and IMO all that throwing people out does is effect the mindset of the team.

So the best thing for sports today was Bronco's WON tonight!

God Bless America Signs Offend The Ever So Sensitive Atheists
An atheist group is complaining about two signs posted outside a city hall in New York state that declare “God Bless America.”

But the signs hung by a Long Island official outside the town hall of Babylon, N.Y., are perfectly legal, according to a group specializing in constitutional law that has volunteered to defend them.

“The phrase ‘God bless America’ does not violate the Constitution,” said Gary McCaleb, senior counsel for the Alliance Defense Fund.

From Russia With Love to Iran- Is That A Missile In Their Pocket?

Russia NOT making the world a safer place from Terrorists!

Russians help Iran with missile threat to Europe
By Con Coughlin
(Filed: 16/10/2005)

Former members of the Russian military have been secretly helping Iran to acquire technology needed to produce missiles capable of striking European capitals.

The Russians are acting as go-betweens with North Korea as part of a multi-million pound deal they negotiated between Teheran and Pyongyang in 2003. It has enabled Teheran to receive regular clandestine shipments of top secret missile technology, believed to be channelled through Russia.

Western intelligence officials believe that the technology will enable Iran to complete development of a missile with a range of 2,200 miles, capable of hitting much of Europe. It is designed to carry a 1.2-ton payload, sufficient for a basic nuclear device.

The revelation raises the stakes in the confrontation between Iran's Islamic regime and the West - led by the United States and European countries including Britain.

Condoleezza Rice, the US secretary of state, clashed with Russian officials over Iran's Nuclear Programmeduring a visit to Moscow yesterday, saying that Teheran must fulfil its obligations under the Nuclear Proliferation Treaty.

She was later expected to urge President Vladimir Putin to back a referral of Iran to the United Nations Security Council.

A senior American official said Iran's programme was "sophisticated and getting larger and more accurate. They have had very much in mind the payload needed to carry a nuclear weapon.

"I think Putin knows what the Iranians are doing."

Iran is believed to be hiding its weapons development behind its nuclear power programme, for which it receives Russian support, and has refused to suspend uranium enrichment or to allow full UN inspections.

John Bolton, the US ambassador to the UN, told BBC2's Newsnight that Iran was "determined to get nuclear weapons deliverable on ballistic missiles it can then use to intimidate not only its own region but possibly to supply to terrorists".

Iran's longest-range missile is the Shahab 3, which, with an 800-mile range, could hit Israel. The North Korean deal will allow the Iranian missile to reach targets far into Europe - including Rome, Berlin, and much of France.

North Korea has developed a missile, the Taepo Dong 2, that could reach America's west coast, based on the submarine-launched Soviet SSN6. Modifications allow it to be fired from a land-based transporter and this technology is being smuggled to Teheran with Russian help.

Russians have provided production facilities, diagrams and operating instruction so the missile can be built in Iran. Liquid propellant has been shipped to Iran. Russian specialists have also been sent to Iran to help development of its Shahab 5 missile project, which the Iranians hope to have operational by the end of the decade.

Iraqis Vote on New Constitution Early Estimates Show Turnout Was Strong Even Among Sunnis

Security Good as Millions of Iraqis Cast Constitution Ballots
By Petty Officer 3rd Class John R. Guardiano,USN
American Forces Press Service

WASHINGTON, Oct. 15, 2005 – With Iraqi election officials and Iraqi security forces leading the way, millions of Iraqis streamed to the polls today to vote on their country's constitution. Officials reported that scattered incidents of violence early on in the voting that were quickly squelched by Iraqi security forces.

Coalition forces are supporting the Iraqis with perimeter checkpoints and crowd control. Officials in Iraq said security has been tight and involves a three-stage inspection system that kicks in before voters arrive at the polling sites.

No one with bags, cell phones or packages may enter the polling areas, they said. "From my vantage point, the Iraqi security forces have a good plan to protect the Iraqi people on referendum day," said Army Lt. Col. Steven Merkel, commander of 1st Battalion, 9th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team. He said the officials have worked on the plan for weeks. Iraqi Police and Public Order Brigade forces began training for possible election-day crises or terrorist attacks long ago, Merkel said. Iraqi and coalition forces worked through a variety of potential scenarios, with the intent of deterring attacks and minimizing disruptions.

The election really began a few days ago, when, throughout Iraq, election officials moved polling materials from warehouses to polling centers. "This operation is 100 percent Iraqi," said Army Sgt. 1st Class Mark Lewandowski, whose Task Force Baghdad civil affairs team helped monitor election preparations. "We don't touch the ballots, we don't move the ballots; and we don't secure them. "

Polling sites reported relatively little violence in at least the first five hours of voting. Proactive security operations by Iraqi and coalition forces apparently have helped to avert much potential terrorist activity, officials said.

For example, Iraqi Army troops discovered an arms cache and detained three suspects on Oct. 14 near Khalidiyah. Troops from the 1st Battalion, 3rd Brigade, 1st Iraqi Intervention Force were conducting a sweep when the cache was found. The Iraqi soldiers searched the area and collared three military-aged males responsible for the cache. The cache contained three mortar rounds and an assortment of C4 explosive, 7. 62 mm ammunition, a detonation cord, and blasting caps, officials said.

The suspects are being detained by authorities for further questioning. No injuries or damages were reported. Moreover, Iraqi army and police units in the Baghdad area reported at least four separate and scattered small-arms fire incidents and one rocket attack on Oct. 14. Yet, no injuries or property damage resulted from any of these attacks, officials said.

Similarly, Iraqi police arrived on the scene of a terrorist attack in west Baghdad at 7:30 a. m. today after receiving reports of an improvised explosive device attack.

One Iraqi policeman was wounded in the attack. At roughly 9:15 a. m. today. , Iraqi Army Soldiers reported that a rocket was detonated near two polling sites in north-central Baghdad, but without inflicting any casualties or damage. Iraqi army soldiers and police quickly responded to these incidents in order to protect voters. Coalition forces stayed in the background and performed perimeter security operations. Coalition forces are being wary.

Task Force Baghdad Soldiers detained 11 suspected terrorists at a checkpoint in Yusufiyah early this afternoon. The suspected terrorists were found to possess three 125-millimeter projectiles inside their blue van, officials said.

Election officials said voter turnout was high throughout Iraq. "It almost seems like a holiday" here in Baghdad, said Army Capt. Norm Stevenson, 3rd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team. "There are kids playing soccer in the streets and families out and about walking around. " In fact, due to high voter turnout, two of the polling sites in Abu Ghraib temporarily ran out of ballots. Capt. Marc E. Perlini, the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment public affairs officer, said local election official coordinated for additional ballots and voting resumed shortly.

A similar "problem" was encountered in the Ninewa Province, in northwestern Iraq, where tens of thousands of Iraqis lined up to vote. Two hours after polls opened, Independent Electoral Commission officials at one of the polling stations reported that they were running out of ballots.

Iraqi police coordinated a rush re-supply of ballots and the voting continued uninterrupted. Officials attribute the high voter turnout in Ninewa to the excellent security provided by more than 3,000 Iraqi soldiers and police. "The people of Tal Afar are very happy to have this opportunity to vote and hope that, after today's elections, all of Iraq is unified together as one voice," said Tal Afar Mayor Najem. "Yesterday, I said to all of the people, 'Go to the polls and refuse terrorism,'" Najem said. "The terrorists made their voice with the car bombing; but the people of Tall Afar answered back by going to the polls. " The people, he added, "showed that they were not afraid to stand up to the terrorists by voting. I am very proud of the people. "

The mayor also expressed his in pride in the Iraqi Security Forces for "their professionalism and service throughout the election day. " The Ninewa Province and cities of Tal Afar, Sinjar, Bi'aj and Rabiyah were hotbeds of terrorist activity and thus the object of recent operations by coalition forces. The province issafer, they said and that's why the number of polling stations available for the entire province increased from 17 in January to 58 today.

Tal Afar had Iraq's second lowest voter turnout in January - second only to Fallujah. But today, the citizens of Tal Afar came out en masse to vote, with their purple fingers raised, officials said. The purple ink stain indicates that a citizen has voted and is designed to prevent duplicative voting.

In fact, a crowd of voters in Tal Afar gathered to celebrate their day of democracy. They chanted, "Say no to terrorism!" officials said. One woman was asked whether she was afraid that terrorists might spot her ink-stained finger. "I don't care about the terrorists; this is what I believe in!" she said.

Carlton Sherwood and VVLF have counter-sued John Kerry

Carlton Sherwood (a decorated USMC Sniper and the man behind “Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal) AND the VVLF have counter-sued John Kerry!

I received this email and want to share it with you.

John O'Neill
Houston, Texas
October 4, 2005

Dear Friend,

Last year, when my fellow Swift Boat veterans and I spoke out about John Kerry, you rallied to our side. We will never forget your faith in our cause and your belief in our honesty. It made all the difference. Together we made history.

Like most of you, I believed our mission was over. We could all move on with our lives, return to our families and homes secure in the knowledge we had done the right thing for America, and for our children's future.

Regrettably, that has not been the case for a distinguished group of Vietnam combat veterans who stood shoulder-to-shoulder with us during last year's campaign. Their situation has become so critical that I felt compelled to break our long silence to inform you of this urgent matter.

The Vietnam Veterans Legacy Foundation, an organization founded by some of the same POWs and their wives who joined with us to form Swift Boat Veterans and POWs for Truth, has become the target of vicious legal assaults - multiple lawsuits designed to silence the voices of the POWs.

The VVLF is being sued to punish the organization for the content of the POW documentary Stolen Honor, which contrasts their own accounts of their service in Vietnam and suffering in North Vietnamese prison camps with the claims of the antiwar movement.

They desperately need our help and I am asking, once more, for your support. I urge you to give what you can to assist these truly noble men and women.

It is no accident that this campaign to coerce and silence some of America's most heroic figures from the Vietnam War has intensified just as the shrill voices of the extreme Left's anti-military, blame-America-first propagandists are once again on the rise. Even Jane Fonda has resurfaced.

You might ask why the VVLF has been targeted in this legal assault - why attack men who endured years of unspeakable torture and suffering in defense of America? The answer lies in the question. These are among the most credible, living eyewitnesses to the trail of deceit and betrayal. All are highly decorated and each bears the scars and permanent physical disabilities of his long years in captivity. One is the recipient of our nation's highest award for valor, the Medal of Honor. They paid for the right to voice their opinions with years of indescribable pain, hardship and torment. Their individual histories of perseverance under the direst of circumstances, and their fidelity to the principles of honor instilled in each American serving in uniform belie the despicable slanders laid at the feet of our military.

The POWs' very existence and their willingness to go public threaten the foundation of the Left's propaganda, a lifetime of lies that accuse the U.S. military of being no better than the "armies of Genghis Khan." It remains the Left's most potent weapon as they continue to undermine the efforts of our Armed Forces and provide aid and comfort to America's enemies.

The war for America's conscience and soul rages on in the media, on the streets and quietly behind courtroom doors. In the vanguard of that battle, as they were some 40 years ago, are the POWs; some of America's greatest heroes; men and their wives, fathers and mothers, many of them grandparents, who have already paid a heavy price for their loyalty and devotion to America and, sadly, find they must do so again today.

They deserve our respect, admiration and gratitude, but most of all our support, even as they try to protect and preserve the honor and reputations of an entire generation of American troops vilified by the extreme Left.

Won't you stand up once more to defend our troops and veterans? Please give what you can to help the Vietnam Veterans Legacy Foundation continue the still-unfinished task of setting the record straight about the Vietnam War and Vietnam vets.

This is every bit as important as our effort last year. If you'd like to stay informed about the VVLF's ongoing work, please sign up for updates here.

Thank you again and God bless you and America.

Sincerely,
John O'Neill

Former Vietnam POWs Sue John Kerry

PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Sen. John Kerry and a top DNC campaign official have been sued for conspiracy and defamation in Federal District Court in Philadelphia by the Vietnam Veterans Legacy Foundation (VVLF), which is led by a group of former Vietnam combat veterans, including several POWs, and the wife of a POW. The legal action comes just weeks after the group of highly decorated veterans, which includes a Medal of Honor recipient, was itself sued twice by Kerry campaign supporters who were once his fellow antiwar activists.

All the lawsuits stem from last year's Presidential elections and Stolen Honor, a documentary released last September that examined the impact of Kerry's 1971 anti-war activities on hundreds of American POWs still being held in the notorious Hanoi Hilton prison camp.

The Kerry campaign mounted a major effort to prevent Stolen Honor from being aired last October after the Sinclair Broadcasting Company announced plans to show the film on its 62 stations nationally. Sinclair was sued, boycotted and harshly condemned by Kerry campaign officials who publicly threatened to have the TV cable company's FCC license revoked if Kerry was elected. That was followed by protests from 18 U.S. Democrat Senators who called for FCC and FEC investigations of Sinclair. Amid the furor, the documentary's producer, Carlton Sherwood, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and thrice wounded Vietnam veteran, was sued for libel by a Kerry advisor and member of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War, an organization Kerry represented as national spokesman in the 1970's. That case is scheduled for a jury trial next year in Philadelphia's Court of Common Pleas.

Sinclair eventually withdrew its planned broadcast of the film and, under pressure from Kerry campaign supporters, theater showings were canceled.

The federal lawsuit, filed this week by Sherwood and the POWs, charge Kerry and DNC campaign coordinator Anthony Podesta of conspiring to discredit the documentary and defaming the film's producer for the purpose of preventing Stolen Honor from being broadcast or seen in theaters.

Stolen Honor focused on Kerry's 1971 testimony before the U.S. Senate's Foreign Relations Committee when he accused U.S. combat troops of committing atrocities and war crimes on a "day to day basis with the full awareness of officers at all levels of command." The film examined, through interviews with 17 POWs and three POWs wives, the consequences of those allegations on some 350 American POWs still held in North Vietnamese Communist prison camps.

Some of the POWs interviewed for the documentary charged Kerry with "treason" and "perjury," while others said his 1971 Senate testimony placed their lives in jeopardy, protracted the Vietnam War and extended their confinement for years. All the POWs accused Kerry and his followers of fabricating "war crimes" and providing aid and comfort to the enemy in time of war.

In recent weeks, the libel suit against Sherwood has been extended to name the VVLF and Newsmax as defendants. Another Kerry supporter and VVAW member has sued documentary producer Sherwood a second time for libel, also naming the VVLF and the Internet news company Newsmax as defendants.

Those libel suits were filed by Kenneth Campbell and Jon Bjornson, both long-time antiwar activists and members of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW), who allege that Sherwood, the VVLF and Newsmax defamed them in the documentary when it questioned the credibility of those, including Sen. Kerry, who claimed to have participated in, or, been witnesses to "war crimes" they allege were committed routinely throughout the Vietnam War. Although neither man is identified in Stolen Honor, both claim they appear in 35 year-old pictures and film clips used in the film and allege their reputations were harmed as a result. Campbell was a volunteer and an advisor to the Kerry campaign last year. Bjornson also supported Kerry.

Documentation for these suits is available at VVLF.org.

All the POWs and the wife of a POW who hold leadership positions in the VVLF also appeared in Stolen Honor. The VVLF's chairman is Col. Bud Day, a POW Medal of Honor recipient and the Air Force's most highly decorated veteran.

"It's time the American people learned the truth about Vietnam and Vietnam veterans," Col. Day said, "not just the sorry portrait they've seen in the movies or read about from politically motivated propagandists. We served with honor."

The Vietnam Veterans Legacy Foundation (VVLF.org) is a 501(c)(3) public service corporation whose mission is to educate and inform the public about the Vietnam War, its events, its history, and the courageous men and women who sacrificed to serve their country in Vietnam.

Vietnam Vets/Former POWs Respond to Slurs From Sen. Kerry's Staff

PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- The following is being issued by the Vietnam Veterans Legacy Foundation:

"I am irritated to be called a liar by the spokesman for someone who spent less time in Vietnam than I spent being tortured. I would like to know what was false when I said that I was interrogated in 1971, told about the 'Winter Soldier Hearings,' told that someone had recruited my mother to be associated with these people, and told that John Kerry organized it. Was Boris (my interrogator) lying about Winter Soldier? Did these hearings not take place? Was John Kerry not involved? And while the Kerry people are tossing around frivolous lawsuits claiming defamation, isn't it defamatory to say that someone is lying if you can't prove it?"

-- The Hon. James Warner, VVLF Board member and former US Marine Corps Captain held captive in Vietnam for over 5 years

"Who is this pipsqueak press boy Wade to question the honor, statements or credibility of veterans who took real fire and POWs who took real torture? How dare he! How dare Kerry allow his taxpayer-funded office to malign decorated veterans and call them liars. Of course, this is nothing new for Kerry -- his public life stems from vilifying vets."

-- Mary Jane McManus, VVLF Board member and wife of former POW Lt. Col Kevin McManus

"John Kerry, through his spokesman, David Wade, has brazenly labeled a group of POWs who dared to speak out with the truth about his testimony to the US Senate and his crusade to brand American combatants as war criminals. I read the statement that referred to us as 'serial liars' and claimed that the truth doesn't matter to us. On the contrary, this is all about the truth, and it seems the only chance we have of letting the American people know the truth about the Vietnam War and the honorable men who fought it is in a Federal court of law.

Vietnam Vets Versus Kerry by Michael P. Tremoglie 07 October 2005

This may be the first time in American history that a presidential candidate was sued for actions taken by him and his campaign during an election. It may also be the first time that an antiwar activist was sued, if only tangentially, for allegations made about American military personnel.

Democrats did indeed respond vehemently to Stolen Honor. Sinclair, according to a contemporaneous Newsweek report, canceled their broadcast after being intimidated by Democrats. For example, a Democrat New York State Comptroller sent a letter to Sinclair criticizing the broadcast. The Comptroller was the sole trustee for the NY State Common Retirement Fund, which owned 250,000 shares of Sinclair stock..

The Baederwood Theater received phone calls threatening boycotts if it showed the movie. Ominous phone calls were responsible for a suburban Philadelphia conference center canceling another presentation scheduled after Baederwood.

Although the Kerry campaign denied any involvement with these efforts, an October 15, 2004 email from Podesta to Kerry activists called Carlton Sherwood a, "disgraced former journalist, right-wing propagandist and apologist for cult-leader Sun Myung Moon." Podesta urged Kerry workers to "…. take action …against this garbage…. let the theater know that, as a member of the community, you object to …this film …they should not allow Stolen Honor to be shown on their screen."

If this lawsuit accomplishes nothing else, it will be that the heroes of Vietnam are finally condemning the lies told about them during the war. If nothing else results from this, it will be that those who served their country meritoriously, despite great controversy, despite the adversity, those who truly deserve to be called the Greatest Generation, are once again serving their country by telling the truth about Vietnam.

A former police officer, Michael Tremoglie's work has appeared in the Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Daily News, Human Events, FrontPage Magazine, and the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review

Colonel David Hunt Backs Up Louis Freeh's Book

Last Sunday on “60 Minutes” Louis Freeh was interviewed. I already posted about Freeh’s book coming out on another post here on my Blog ( further down the page)

Khobar Towers, Freeh was informed the by the Saudi ambassador the only means he could get at the prisoners was to have Clinton request the Saudi crown prince to let the FBI to meet with them, but at that time, Clinton didn't help Freeh and the FBI. So Freeh went to Clinton's predecessor, the elder Bush for help.

The reason why Clinton stepped in was to get money for his Presidential Library.

'60 Minutes' Mike Wallace failed to press Freeh on suspicious, weakly sourced Clinton accusations

Also, on Bill O'Reilly's show on Fox news, I saw the interview with Lannie Davis.

Lanny Davis is one of Clinton's attack dogs who smears anybody who gets in the way.

Davis' attempt to cover Slick Wilie's behind, but didn't do a good job of it. And Davis didn't answer O'Reilly's questions, as well as stating Freeh is a Republican. Insinuating because of his party affiliation is the reason he went after Clinton.

O'Reilly asked Davis why didn't Clinton fire Freeh since was not doing a good job. Davis didn't answer the question.

Davis stated Freeh wasn't credible. What makes Davis oh so believable?

Last but not least, If the statements in Freeh's book are not true, why did Clinton call on Sandy Bergerto refute Freeh's book, and why are Clinton's cronies and the left doing overtime in spinning their webs to defend Slick Willie?

Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Robert "Buzz" Patterson authored the book "Dereliction of Duty," a book about Clinton, why wasn't he attacked and smeared?

Last but not least, here are some interesting quotes from Colonel David Hunt, who authored the book, "They Just Don't Get it."

What Hunt states in his book more or less backs up Freeh.

Quoting from the book.

Richard Clarke faults Bush for not doing anything to counter terrorism

Former White House coordinator for counter terrorism, Richard “It-Ain’t-My-Fault” Richard Clarke. He authored a book charging the Bush administration did nothing for its 232 days in office before 9/11–even though Clark himself worked on national security and terrorism issues in the Clinton White House for more than 2900 days, during which time he did next to nothing. When he testified before Congress, Clarke did the apology thing, but it came years too late. Paragraph 3, page 6 “They Just don’t Get it”

Taking credit for something they didn’t do

The Clinton Administration has pointed to two “victories” against terrorism to justify its policies: the discovery of the “Millennium Bomb” plot and the discovery of plots to blow up the Lincoln and the Holland tunnels. In the book Against all Enemies, Richard Clarke wrote that he and others coordinated a “massive”government effort to foil al Qaeda from blowing up Los Angeles International Airport on New Year’s Eve 1999, and he has reiterated these claims during any number of TV appearances. Yeah, right. What really happened is a stupid SOB named Ahmed Ressam filled his trunk with explosives in Canada and tried to drive through a customs checkpoint in Washington State. A well-trained and very competent border guard spotted the nervous, sweaty Ressam and hauled his ass over to the side to inspect him and his vehicle. She found the trunk full of nastiness. Paragraph 2, page 28 “They Just don’t Get it”

Clarke and others attempted to take credit for this find, which might have worked except that an alert press corps just asked a simple question of the brave and alert border guard: So is it true that you found this terrorist because of the massive effort on the part of the U.S. government, sending out notices, alerting you to the possibility that this deadly terrorist might cross the border?
Paragraph 3, page 28 “They Just don’t Get it”

“I don’t recall any specific threats,” answered Diana Dean. “I don’t recall anybody saying watch for terrorists.” Customs officials confirm that no alert had gone out to the field. Paragraph 4, page 28 “They Just don’t Get it”

Bottom line: we got lucky. Neither Clarke nor anyone else in D.C. had diddly to do with catching Ressam. It was blind luck–good for us, but it was blind luck just the same. Paragraph 5, page 28 “They Just don’t Get it”

Now, far as the Clinton Administration having anything to do with uncovering the plots to blow up the Lincoln and the Holland tunnels, uh, that would be a big no. The FBI and the NYPD got wind of this one through solid police work. Nice going, guys. I am very happy we caught them. But this had nothing to do with anything but great cops doing a great job. It was not the result of coordinated antiterrorists campaign. We were so desperate for a success, we could not even give credit where credit is due. Paragraph 1, page 29 “They Just don’t Get it”

You have to understand something: not only was the Clinton administration not doing anything, it was taking credit away from underpaid, overworked, competent, and brave public safety officers who could not put their hand up and say, “Bullshit.”
Paragraph 2, page 29 “They Just don’t Get it”

Failed to get bin Laden

1996 CIA tracked bin Laden to a ranch in Afghanistan. It had in its sights. The agency only needed permission from the Clinton White house to pull the trigger. So what did the passive-aggressive Clinton administration do? It would not give the order. A government official from the United Arab Emirates was present at the camp with bin Laden, so we chickened out. The reason this order the other guy was hanging with bin Laden couldn’t have been good. Did we think they were forming a church group? Did we think they were planning to turn themselves in? No? Then we should have killed them both. We could have paid retribution for any real or perceived harm done to innocents. This was a camp out in the middle of nowhere. We could have turned it into a puddle. Bin Laden would have been dead, maybe, just maybe, 9/11 wouldn’t have happened. These guys let him go. The response should have been, “Nice job guys, now you’re fired!” But it wasn’t. It wasn’t because we don’t ever fire anybody from failures tied to terrorism, not even when almost three thousand Americans are killed. Hell, under Clinton, missing bin Laden probably meant a promotion. Paragraph 2, page 30 “They Just don’t Get it”

Mogadishu Disaster and SAPs

An infamous example of an SAP that became all too public came in 1993, during the Clinton administration. We had decided to go to the “dark side of the moon,” a place called Somalia, to help country in trouble. The place was being run by warlords who were stealing, raping, and otherwise hurting the population. The most powerful warlord was a guy named Mohamed Farah Aideed. We targeted him (Oh, and by the way, for those of you keeping score, Osama bin Laden and his al Qaeda murdering goons were associated with and helping these warlords, including Aideed.) Paragraph 3, page 82 “They Just don’t Get it”

Try to capture Aideed, we sent in the Joint Special Operations Command with Special Forces Operational Detachment Delta and Task Force 160—the Night Stalkers and the First Ranger Battalion. The major portion of the operation was an SAP. But when Delta Force and the Rangers went in, things went terrible wrong. Simply put, our leaders got arrogant and thought that we could do a daylight operation against guerrillas without an adequate back up plan; the Paragraph 4, page 82 “They Just don’t Get it” greatest military in the world blew it Delta Force and the Rangers got caught in a deadly gun battle with Aideed’s forces—a disaster that has been the focus of a best-selling book and a major motion picture, Black Hawk Down. These great soldiers paid the price despite heroic efforts; their bosses screwed this one up. We lost very brave men in a very public way. Paragraph 1, page 83 “They Just don’t Get it”

The political fallout from this humiliation changed the way the Clinton Administration approved SAPs for the next six years. Translation” The Clinton White House put the equivalent of permission slips in the system. Suddenly the government required an endless series of phone calls, e-mails, written orders, and other reporting procedures before any SAP (special access programs) could be approved. It was all designed to slow down—not speed up—the process. It was all designed to give the Clinton administration cover, the ability to say, “It’s not my fault.” Whatever the reasons, the result was that operations no longer had the ability or authority to do their jobs. Paragraph 2, page 83 “They Just don’t Get it”

This need to keep blame from being laid at the door of the White House infiltrated all things dealing with intelligence and the military. When I served in Bosnia in the mid-1990s as part of the NATO peacekeeping force, we were actually told that we were not allowed to go hunting war criminals. If they happened to come up to tone of our roadblocks, we could detain them, not kill them. That is, we could not kill on sight one of the men who had ordered the massacre of more than seven thousand men and boys in a town named Srebrenica. Nope, just detain them. That is much better. Oh yeah. Paragraph 3, page 83 “They Just don’t Get it”

Avoiding Direct Confrontation Attitude and Not Taking Responsibility

The Clinton administration’s “no-one-gets-hurt” mentality played a big role in getting us in the mess we’re in today, but something else has factored heavily into the problem: our national intelligence community was trying to fight terrorists in the way they had fought the Soviets during the Cold War. Paragraph 4, page 83 “They Just don’t Get it”

The runaway bureaucratic structure has not only prevented us from doing what needs to be done when it needs to be done, it has also created a lack of accountability. It is time to demand accountability of our leadership. We have watched commission after commission study what went wrong. We have officials from every walk of life saying, “It ain’t my fault,” or “It’s no one’s fault, it’s the system.” We even have former government officials stuffing secret documents down their pants! Paragraph 1, page 83 “They Just don’t Get it”

“It Ain’t My Fault”

This story is so farcical, so out there, so unbelievable that you are going to think it has to be a bedtime story. Brace yourself. Once upon a time there was former national security advisor to the president of the United States. The adviser’s name was Sandy “I-Ain’t-Going-to-No-Stinking Vietnam” Berger. The president was Bill “I-Did-Not-Have-Sex-with-That-Woman” Clinton. Mr. Berger’s job was to protect our nations’ secrets while he advised the president on the most sensitive matters in the world. During his tenure (he spent six years as either deputy national security adviser or national security adviser), he had to read our nation’s most classified papers—documents so sensitive that he wasn’t even allowed to removed them from his office. Paragraph 2, page 102 “They Just don’t Get it”

Mr. Berger even had to have special telephones that scrambled his conversations in his car, home, and office to protect America’s vital secrets. In fact, in this bedtime story it is fair to say that everything Berger did in his professional life was a secret. Now comes the really ludicrous part: Mr. Berger was caught stuffing classified documents in his pants and socks in the National Archives. Could this be true? Yup. You had to wonder, why would this very smart guy do something so stupid as to smuggle out sensitive documents he knew weren’t supposed to leave the secure room at the Archives? Maybe because the documents showed that he and his boss had done little or nothing to try to stop terrorism for eight years. Paragraph 1, page 103 “They Just don’t Get it”

But the truth is, even if Berger did try to cover up his own failures and the Clinton administration’s failures, it would have worked. The reason it would have worked is that we all know he and the Clinton administration screwed up. But they weren’t the only ones. There weren’t in office when 9/11 happened, of course. No one in Washington says it because everyone there is looking ahead to the next election, but our government screwed up. On September 11, 2001, nineteen Arab men killed more Americans than did the entire Japanese fleet at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. That’s a big screw-up. Video Teleconference: Service Members Speak with President Bush

How many times have we read, seen on TV news and heard on the radio the propaganda of the left Media machine! It never ends, the slant to destroy the truth, to cover up the good things our military does, the negative side of war and never the many good things our troops are doing. Well I am sick of it and furious!

Today the Commander-in-Chief, President Bush, spoke with service members located in Tikrit.

Tikrit, Iraq, via video teleconference from the White House complex in Washington, Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005

Here is the anti-war, Military haters, leftie Media news reported....
Bush Teleconference With Soldiers Staged

Here is one of the idiots statements with his propaganda and slant of course!......

Paul Rieckhoff, director of the New York-based Operation Truth, an advocacy group for U.S. veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan, denounced the event as a "carefully scripted publicity stunt."

And here is what really happened!

Statement from Pentagon Spokesman Lawrence Di Rita

U. S. forces are proud of their service in Iraq. The service members who spoke with the President from Tikrit today are proud of the opportunity to discuss their service with the Commander-in-Chief.

The event was technologically challenging and required organization and preparation. The soldiers were advised as to the issues they should expect to discuss, and decided among themselves who would speak to each issue as it may arise.

The service members were excited about the opportunity to speak with the President. No one intended to tell them what to think or how to express themselves; going through likely questions in advance was meant solely to help the troops feel at ease during an obviously unique experience.

All of us at the Department of Defense are proud of the chance to serve the troops who serve the country, and we appreciate any opportunity to help them tell their story. On behalf of these fine young men and women, we certainly regret any perception that they were told what to say. It is not the case.

I know I already posted about this but I saw some poems and wanted to share them with you.

.

OK first you need to know that I collect Teddybears. I have since I was a child, and of course Winnie Pooh and his friends are part of my collection. So when I heard that the NOT so fuzzy Muzzies (the freakin terrorist and their ilk) wanted Piglet banned and all books etc. having to do with pigs banned as well.... GRRRRRRRrrrrrr I was furious! "Charlottes Web" a great book about friendship and others.....sheesh!

Cartoon by Cox and Forkum

.

This is a poem by Gateway Pundit....I love it and it is good!

The Brits still manage to muster some political correctness bluster.

Even after
the tube blasts
from the not
so distant past.

You'll have to go to Cox & Forkum
to get the whole scoop
but lets just say that Piglet and other toy pigs
are in very deep poop!

Oh, D-D-Dear!

And this is another poem I saw at Eyes On The Ball News

Picture of pig On tissue box Who you going call? Porkbusters!

An infidel
Eat pork product
Who you going call?
Porkbusters!

I ain’t ‘fraid o’ no dhimm’
I ain’t ‘fraid o’ no dhimm’

At three o’clock
Only you are pray
Who you going call?
Porkbusters!

Unveiled woman
At your workplace
Who you going call?
Porkbusters!

I ain’t ‘fraid o’ no dhimm’
They’ll cave when it’s their turn
I ain’t ‘fraid o’ no dhimm’
Halal lal lal lal lal lal lal!

Coworker no give
Allah credit for all
Who you going call?
Porkbusters!

No bombmaking skills
Will your jihad stall
Unless you call
Porkbusters!

Be ready to believe us, oh no
All of you dimmi
Who live in sin, baby
Repent and call
Porkbusters!

Beheading make me feel good!

Who you going call?
Porkbusters!
I no hear you!
Who you going call?
Porkbusters!

Islam permits killing of “infidel’ civilians: Zarqawi tape

Zarqawi: Islam permits the killing of "infidel" civilians. CAIR: Islam forbids the killing of "innocent" civilians. See the difference? CAIR and other self-professed moderate Muslim organizations in the West have simply not addressed Zarqawi's argument, or formulated any argument that will deter Muslims from committing violence in the name of their religion.

From AFP, with thanks to all who sent this in:

DUBAI - Al Qaeda frontman in Iraq Abu Musab Al Zarqawi has said Islam permits the killing of “infidel” civilians, according to an audiotape broadcast on the Internet early Saturday.
“In Islam, making the difference is not based on civilians and military, but on the basis of Muslims and infidels,” said the voice attributed to the fugitive leader who has a 25-million-dollar price on his head.

“The Muslim’s blood cannot be spilled whatever his work or place, while spilling the blood of the infidel, whatever his work or place, is authorized if he is not trustworthy,” said the tape, whose veracity could not be determined.

Schools May Drop Religious Holidays

Rather than add a day off around Ramadan, days off around Easter and Yom Kippur may be eliminated.

By MELANIE AVE, Times Staff Writer
Published October 7, 2005

TAMPA - There may be no day off next school year for the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur. Also on the chopping block are vacation days for the Christian faith's Good Friday and the Monday after Easter.

After considering a request to recognize a Muslim school holiday, the Hillsborough County School Board next week will discuss ending student days off on all religious holidays, whether they be Christian, Jewish or Muslim.

The Entire Article Is Here

Hey Muslims!
Get this and get it good! When YOU start to be outraged at what YOUR so called religion has done to human beings in this world. When YOU apologize and leave your Islam death cult….and speak out, yell out to the world by apologizing and telling us…………………………..

Tell us you are sorry for the 1983 Bombing of Marine Barracks, Beirut…..Shiite suicide bombers exploded truck near U.S. military barracks at Beirut airport, killing 241 Marines. Minutes later a second bomb killed 58 French paratroopers in their barracks in West Beirut.

Tell us you are sorry for 9-11 when 3000 people were murdered in the name of Allah. We will never forget the sight of people jumping from two of the highest buildings in the world hoping against hope that if they moved their arms fast enough that they may fly and survive a certain death from burning.

Tell us you are sorry for blaming 9-11 on a Jewish or right wing conspiracy.

Tell us you are sorry for the murder of more than three hundred school children and adults in Russia.

Tell us you are sorry for the murder of train passengers in Spain.

Tell us you are sorry for all the victims of suicide bombings.

Tell us you are sorry for the beheadings, abductions, rapes, violent Jihad and all the atrocities committed by Muslims around the world.

Tell us you are sorry for a religious education that raised killers rather than train people to do good in the world.

Tell us you are sorry for not rising up against the dictators who have ruled the Muslim world for decades.

This actual list would be too HUGE to put it ALL here but I want an apology for every murder, every death, every bombing and then and ONLY then I might listen to you….I might give a

The Muslims with all their banning of this and that. Their whining and complaining about things that are offensive to them and the way people and governments give in to them only gives them credibility. Who the hell gives credibility to killers, murders and cults! They should fear us not the other way around.

We are at war with Islam and if the Muslim’s that say they are good Muslim’s were good people they would be so outraged at their religion of so called peace they would be incapable of continuing to stay in their cult.

Well their demands or requests about Muslims holidays back fired right in their faces. It will only stir the pot of more anger towards them.

Islam the Death Cult

List of Islamic Terror attacks since September 11,2001

“Islam is a revolutionary faith that comes to destroy any government made by man. Islam doesn’t look for a nation to be in better condition than another nation. Islam doesn’t care about the land or who own the land. The goal of Islam is to rule the entire world and submit all of mankind to the faith of Islam. Any nation or power in this world that tries to get in the way of that goal, Islam will fight and destroy.” -Mawlana Abul Ala Mawdudi, founder of Pakistan’s fundamentalist movement

.

There is nothing positive about the religion of Islam and it's purpose to get a bunch of boneheads to think that if they die for this clown (Muhammad) they will get 72 Virgins.

After 9-11, the US Army Airborne fulfilled the promise of "We will bring them (the terrorist assholes) to justice or we will bring justice to them." And if anyone knew how to make that delivery it was the US military!

Al Qaeda Offering Job Opportunities

DUBAI (Reuters) Article HERE- Al Qaeda has put job advertisements on the Internet asking for supporters to help put together its Web statements and video montages, an Arabic newspaper reported.

The London-based Asharq al-Awsat said on its Web site this week that al Qaeda had "vacant positions" for video production and editing statements, footage and international media coverage about militants in Iraq, the Palestinian territories, Chechnya, and other conflict zones where militants are active.

Al Qaeda supporters widely use the Internet to spread the group's statements through dozens of Islamist sites where anyone can post messages. Al Qaeda-linked groups also set up their own sites, which frequently have to move after being shut by Internet service providers.
Asharq al-Awsat said the advert did not specify salary amounts, but added: "Every Muslim knows his life is not his, since it belongs to this violated Islamic nation whose blood is being spilled. Nothing should take precedence over this."

.

Good grief, they want a salary AND 72 Virgins? Talk about greedy and they are not supposed to care about material things.

Please write a letter to the troops. It does make a difference for them to get letters from back home. Details how to do this can be found at SlagleRock's

Many of you may remember my original Letters To The Troops campaign.

Twice here at the Slaughterhouse I have hosted a drive to generate letters of support for the troops serving abroad.

The first letter project generated 328 letters of support by the deadline, and has generated more letters since then.

This last drive was an attempt to generate 500 or more letters of support for the troops for the holidays.

I am proud to say that the holiday letter project also exceeded its goal of 500. I received 50 letters hosted via the TrackBack to other great blogs. I received 130 letters in the comments of that post. I found more than 25 letters left on other blogs via TrackBack. I received another 251 letters directly in my email which I printed and forwarded. I also recieved 54 Christmas Cards from the classmates of a BlogFriends children. This post has also picked up a few more letters since the original deadline.

I have comrades in arms who have just recently deployed to such sunny locations as Iraq and others who have been in the sandbox for several months.

Bloggers, I urge each and every one of you to write your own letter to the troops overseas. Make it a general open letter to any Soldier, Sailor, Airman or Marine. Keep in mind that the people reading these letters will be both male and female of all ages, ethnic origins and religions. Once your letter is posted, please trackback to this post so that I may find and print your letter. Please direct your readers to this effort as well. Non-bloggers, please leave your open letter of support in the comment section of this post. While it is possible for you to email me your letters, I'd like to see them in the comments so that troops overseas can access and read them online.

I've decided to make this an ongoing effort. I have a button posted on the right side of my site for the "Letter Project". Other Bloggers such as Mamamontezz and Delftsman have also posted this button. Any blogger who is interested is welcome to copy the letter project button and put it up on your site.

Anytime you would like to say thank you to the troops in harms way this is one way to ensure your words are read, I have many military readers and all of my friends who are deployed get regular updates from my site.

Please forward the link to this post to as many people as you can, both Bloggers and non-bloggers.

Let's keep the letters coming year round.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far!

A Vietnam Vets Poem

I received this poem today from a Vietnam Vet and wanted to share it here. Thank you Don!

Hanoi Jane

Jane I see, in memory,
With antiaircraft gun,
A stricture in a picture.
Her movies I still shun.
To dissent is why she went.
I don't buy that at all.
For treason that's no reason.
Stand her against a wall.

Café Caters to U.S.Troops in Gulf Region

Army Specialist Joe Cornall buys a hot coffee at the Green Beans Cafe trailer, which is next to the Burger King and Subway sandwiches trailers, at Camp Udairi in the Kuwait desert.

“We had a vision, and we knew that this was the future for the Gulf. There are a lot of Americans overseas, and no one was going out there to serve them,” Jon said. “We have hot bar drinks like espresso, café mocha, cappuccino, hot chocolate and chai, which is an ancient Indian recipe of spices in a warm-milk base. Our cold bar drinks are frappes in chocolate and vanilla, as well as mocha. We have all the hot drinks on ice. We serve fresh-baked daily sweets: muffins, doughnuts and cookies.”

Jon said the idea behind his and his brother’s business was and is to serve only military troops in the Gulf region.

“The mission is to put cafes on U.S. military bases and to support operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. We were the only coffee company that wanted to go where no one else was willing to go. We wanted to provide a service that the troops needed,” he said.

The Green Beans Café now has 10 locations throughout the Gulf region. Jon said he and Jason plan to expand as the needs of the troops dictate.
“It’s a double reward. Definitely it’s rewarding when your company becomes profitable, but it’s also rewarding when you know you’re inspiring people. They come to us and say, ‘Thank God you guys are here,’” he said. “We go where the troops go, and if that means going into Baghdad, we are ready. That’s our job.”

Marines Participate In Martial Arts Training In Qatar

CAMP AS SAYLIYAH, Qatar – The wind is blowing hot and hard. The desert sand pollutes the air. It’s a starry night, but no one seems to notice.

Their eyes are hard and focused. Their camouflage pants are covered in sand, and their foreheads with small beads of sweat. Their concentration is hard to break. It is that of a warrior – that of a United States Marine working diligently to earn a “tan belt” in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program. Read more HERE

The Truth Shall Set You Freeh

Former FBI Director Louis Freeh has written a book detailing his career, including his eight years as head of the bureau during the Clinton administration - where he describes his frustration over the fact that Bill Clinton wouldn't take his warnings about the terrorist threat seriously.

Freeh's book - due out in October and titled "My FBI: Bringing Down the Mafia, Investigating Bill Clinton, and Waging War on Terror" - promises to be the first in-depth account by the nation's former top cop of his days presiding over FBI investigations into one Clinton scandal after another.

Freeh says the former president let down the American people and the families of victims of the Khobar Towers terror attack in Saudi Arabia. After promising to bring to justice those responsible for the bombing that killed 19 and injured hundreds, Freeh says Clinton refused to personally ask Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah to allow the FBI to question bombing suspects the kingdom had in custody – the only way the bureau could secure the interviews, according to Freeh. Freeh writes in the book, “Bill Clinton raised the subject only to tell the crown prince that he understood the Saudis’ reluctance to cooperate and then he hit Abdullah up for a contribution to the Clinton Presidential Library.” Says Freeh, “That’s a fact that I am reporting.”

A spokesman for ex-President Clinton attacked a new book by former FBI director Louis Freeh that's sharply critical of Clinton's handling of the war on terrorism, calling Freeh "a man who's desperate to clear his name." More at NewsMax

Here is a list of Louis Freeh’s campaign contributions

Short list of Clinton's Legacy of Crime

- The only president ever impeached on grounds of personal malfeasance
- Most number of convictions and guilty pleas by friends and associates*
- Most number of cabinet officials to come under criminal investigation
- Most number of witnesses to flee country or refuse to testify
- Most number of witnesses to die suddenly
- First president sued for sexual harassment.
- First president accused of rape.
- First first lady to come under criminal investigation
- Largest criminal plea agreement in an illegal campaign contribution case
- First president to establish a legal defense fund.
- First president to be held in contempt of court
- Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions
- Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions from abroad
- First president disbarred from the US Supreme Court and a state court

As for me I welcome the book, but have to wonder why it took Freeh so long to come out with it. Watch the miserable press do everything they can to discredit Freeh as well. I always thought that Louis Freeh was a terrible director of the FBI. What did he ever do about all those FBI files that Hillary had? The only reason the Clintons appointed him was because they thought he could be easily tricked or at least held at bay.

The Clinton's of course will go into their "deny, deflect and defame" mode over this book. I suggest that Freeh stay out of Marcy Park and small airplanes.

Unfortunately we're only going to be rid of the Clintons when God Himself personally drop-kicks them both through the portals of Hell.

Pelosi Statement on Ramadan- GRRRrrrrr

Washington, D.C. – House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement in recognition of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which begins today:

“As Muslims around the world recognize the holy month of Ramadan, we take this opportunity to celebrate the contributions of millions of Muslim Americans. They enrich our country while deepening America's respect for Muslims here at home and around the world. As they observe this sacred month, they honor Islam's teachings of self-discipline, compassion and commitment to family.

“As we celebrate Ramadan, we are reminded that we are a country of many faiths, and as such, we must continue to work to promote religious tolerance; our diversity as a nation is one of our greatest strengths.”

Free Piglet!

This is really bugging me so I have to do one more post about Piglet and what the Muslims are getting rid of.......

Along with Winnie the Pooh, some British schools have also removed or restricted the following "anti-Muslim" children's books...

The Three Little Pigs
Charlottes Web
Babe - The Sheep-pig
Cars and Trucks and Things That Go
Olivia Saves the Circus
Animal Farm

Muslim efforts to impose Islamic standards are not confined to the United Kingdom. Even in Orlando, Florida, a Christian employee of a business owned by a Muslim was fired for eating a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich.

Abu Mus’ab al Zarqawi

Mahmoud Abbas (a.k.a. Abu Mazen)

It is also mentioned at My Vast Right Wing Conspiracy go check it out.

A Big Shove It!....To The Pressures From Islam

Hmmmm.....Let's see, the Muslims don't like the little Pig with Winnie the Pooh. So they want anything to do with pigs banned....i.e. calendars, statues etc.

The benefits department at Dudley Council, West Midlands, instructed employees that all pig-related novelty items are henceforth banned from its offices, so as not to offend Muslim staff. This includes pig toys, porcelain figures, calendars, and even a tissue box featuring Winnie the Pooh and Piglet. There's no mention of piggybanks, but presumably those must go too. The edict came down after a Muslim complained.

Santa banned as well.....

"Some kindergartens and smaller shopping centres in Australia have banned Santa, deeming the festive philanthropist politically incorrect for religious reasons, potentially offensive to Muslims..."

Nativity scene......

"An Italian school’s substitution of a nativity play with Little Red Riding Hood so as not to offend Muslim children"

Ice Cream.....

"Burger King will be withdrawing and changing the logo for its ice cream cups because, if one looks very closely and has a good imagination, the logo appeared to some Muslims to look sort of like the word Allah in Arabic if it was viewed from just the right angle. Not wanting to offend, Burger King caved in to the constantly complaining and whining Muslims..."

Race fears spark St. George ban....

"Muslim or Arab prisoners could take umbrage if staff wore a red cross badge. It's also got associations with the far-right. Prison officers should be seen to be neutral. Doyle added that it was now time for England to find a new flag and a patron saint who is "not associated with our bloody past and one we can all identify with."

If the British give in it will add more fuel to discarding their own identity. Every time any of us give in to Muslims complaints like this, or any country caters to the whims of the Muslims, we give them more power to take control. Cair is an enabler of terrorists. We need to say NO to their demands and complaints, tuff s$%^ if they don't like something, close the mosques and emplode them (they use these Mosques in America to meet and plan terrorists acts), close down the Saudia Universities on our land ( they teach hate for America at these schools) and my list could go on and on.

This is Islam's plan for us, step by step and many of these things have already been in play...............

  1. Terminate America's freedom of speech by replacing it with statewide and nationwide hate-crime bills

  2. Wage a war of words using black leaders like Louis Farrakhan, Rev. Jesse Jackson and other visible religious personalities who promote Islam as the religion of African-Americans while insisting Christianity is for whites only. What they fail to tell African-Americans is that it was Arab Muslims who captured them and sold them as slaves.  In fact, the Arabic word for black and slave is the same "Abed".

  3. Engage the American public in dialogues, discussions, debates in colleges, universities, public libraries, radio, TV, churches and mosques on the virtues of Islam. Proclaim how it is historically another religion like Judaism and Christianity with the same monotheistic faith.

  4. Nominate Muslim sympathizers to political office to bring about favorable Legislation toward Islam and support potential sympathizers by block voting.

  5. Take control of as much of Hollywood, the press, TV, radio and the Internet as possible by buying the related corporations or a controlling stock.

  6. Yield to the fear of the imminent shut-off of the lifeblood of America – black gold. America ’s economy depends on oil and 41 percent of it comes from the Middle East.

  7. Yell "foul", out-of-context, personal interpretation, hate crime, Zionist, un-American, inaccurate interpretation of the Quran anytime Islam is criticized or the Quran is analyzed in the public arena.

  8. Encourage Muslims to penetrate the White House, specifically with Islamists who can articulate a marvelous and peaceful picture of Islam. Acquire government positions and get membership in local school boards. Train Muslims as medical doctors to dominate the medical field, research and pharmaceutical companies. (Ever notice how numerous Muslim doctors in America are, when their countries need them more desperately than America?) Take over the computer industry. Establish Middle Eastern restaurants throughout the U.S. to connect planners of Islamization in a discreet way.

  9. Accelerate Islamic demographic growth via:
    - Massive immigration (100,000 annually since 1961).
    - Use no birth control whatsoever – every baby of Muslim parents is automatically a Muslim and cannot choose another religion later.
    - Muslim men must marry American women and Islamize them (10,000 annually). Then divorce them and remarry every five years – since one can't legally marry four at one time. This is a legal solution in America
    - Convert angry, alienated black inmates and turn them into militants (so far 2,000 released inmates have joined al-Qaida worldwide). Only a few "sleeper cells" have been captured in Afghanistan and on American soil.

  10. Reading , writing, arithmetic and research through the American educational system, mosques and student centers (now 1,500 should be sprinkled with dislike of Jews, evangelical Christians and democracy. There are currently 300 exclusively Muslim schools in the U.S. which teach loyalty to the Quran, not the U.S. Constitution. In January of 2002, Saudi Arabia ’s Embassy in Washington mailed 4,500 packets of the Quran and videos promoting Islam to America 's high schools– free of charge. Saudi Arabia would not allow the U.S. to reciprocate.

  11. Provide very sizeable monetary Muslim grants to colleges and universities in America to establish "Centers for Islamic studies" with Muslim directors to promote Islam in higher-education institutions.

  12. Let the entire world know through propaganda, speeches, seminars, local and national media that terrorists have hijacked Islam, when in truth, Islam hijacked the terrorists.

  13. Appeal to the historically compassionate and sensitive Americans for sympathy and tolerance towards Muslims in America who are portrayed as mainly immigrants from oppressed countries.

  14. Nullify America 's sense of security by manipulating the intelligence community with misinformation. Periodically terrorize Americans with reports of impending attacks on bridges, tunnels, water supplies, airports, apartment buildings and malls.

  15. Form riots and demonstrations in the prison system demanding Islamic Sharia as the way of life, not America 's justice system.

  16. Open numerous charities throughout the U.S., but use the funds to support Islamic terrorism with American dollars.

  17. Raise interest in Islam on America 's campuses by insisting freshman take at least one course on Islam.

  18. Unify the numerous Muslim lobbies in Washington, mosques, Islamic student centers, educational organizations, magazines and papers by Internet and an annual convention to coordinate plans, propagate the faith and engender news in the media.

  19. Send intimidating messages and messengers to the outspoken individuals who are critical of Islam and seek to eliminate them by hook or crook.

  20. Applaud Muslims as loyal citizens of the U.S. by spotlighting their voting record as the highest percentage of all minority and ethic groups in America.

Oriana Fallaci, an Italian journalist, who is one of the few journalists in the world who dares to attack Islam and the fact that Europe has surrendered to terror, wrote a passage in her book Apocalypse that is appropriate for the struggle against the Arab enemy, and for the struggle against Islam.

"Resignation leads to apathy. Apathy leads to inertia. Inertia leads to indifference. Indifference paralyzes the instinct for self-defense, that is, the instinct to fight back."

Charlie Daniels Wows Troops in Tribute

WASHINGTON, Oct. 5, 2005 – The devil may have gone down to Georgia, but the Charlie Daniels Band went to the Association of the U. S. Army convention here Oct. 4 to pay a musical tribute to the troops and thank them for their service.

Daniels, a rock-solid supporter of the U. S. military who's been entertaining troops around the world for some 35 years, dazzled a foot-stomping, hand-clapping crowd in a jam-packed ballroom at a reception hosted by U. S. Army Europe.

Army Gen. B. B. Bell, USAREUR and 7th Army commander, said he invited Daniels to the event after the legendary performer fiddled his way into the hearts of U. S. troops deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Those visits, as well as the Oct. 4 performance, were part of the "Stars for Stripes" program, which brings top entertainment to U. S. troops, particularly those serving in remote locations not typically visited by United Service Organizations tours.

"He went to the most difficult and dangerous places" in the U. S. Central Command area of operations and entertained deployed military members without accepting a penny for his services, Bell said of Daniels and his band during an interview with the American Forces Press Service.

"He gives of himself selflessly," Bell said. "He's got all the qualities of a great soldier. "

As a tribute to Bell, a Tennessee native, Daniels played a rousing rendition of "Rocky Top," then slowed the action down with a solemn delivery of "Amazing Grace," encouraging those in the crowd to sing along.

"You should consider Charlie one of us," Army Brig. Gen. Russell Frutiger, USAREUR's deputy chief of staff for personnel, told the group.

Frutiger called Daniels "a relentless morale booster" who not only goes into harm's way to serenade the troops, but also launched "Operation Heartstrings" in partnership with Stars for Stripes to put musical instruments, recorded music, and DVD and CD players into the hands of deployed troops.

During the concert, retired Army Gen. Gordon Sullivan, former Army chief of staff and now president of AUSA, presented Daniels an award honoring his years of service to the military. "Thank you for what you have given to the soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines . . . and the American people," Sullivan said.

Just as during Daniels' overseas tours, when he typically spent hours following his concerts signing autographs for every deployed servicemember who approached him, Daniels wrapped up his Oct. 4 performance meeting the troops, signing autographs and posing for photos.

Army Staff Sgt. Wendy Cooper from the 200th Theater Distribution Brigade, based in Kaiserslautern, Germany, was among those who stood in line for an opportunity to meet and get photographed with Daniels following the performance.

"He truly shows his support, and that means a lot," said Cooper, who stationed herself at the front of the group during the performance for a close-up view of Daniels and his band. "It's great to know that people support us. "

"He's absolutely awesome," agreed Army Capt. Elizabeth Barnaby, an occupational therapist assigned to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, in Germany. "I can't thank him enough for being that supportive. "

While signing autographs, Daniels told the American Forces Press Service he remembers the day Pearl Harbor was bombed in 1941 and has had a love affair with the military ever since.

"Everyone in uniform is a hero to me," he said. "I've felt that way since I was 5 years old, and nothing has ever changed. "

In closing his concert, Daniels expressed his ongoing support and hinted that the Charlie Daniels Band will continue to visit troops when they're deployed.

"Thank you for what you're doing around the world," he said. "And wherever you happen to be, don't be surprised if we show up. "

Supreme Court Judges

There is a contract between our government and the governed, the contract that is the US Constitution – the supreme law of the land. It is “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” and it is a heck of a lot more then a quote or a jingle for a politician to use. The Constitution is the principle, direction of moral conduct, order, a directive, it is the precept that is included in the Declaration of Independence that helped to inspire our Constitution. It is a phrase that epitomizes the principles employed in the construction of this contract between our government and the governed.

The Supreme Court IMO is made up of a selection of individuals that are to be protectors of our Constitution, the keepers of the flame so to speak. I want these people on the Supreme Court to hold the Constitution higher than politics. Our Founders created it for all the people of the United States not just for those that have the clout, the power, or the lobbyist to get their agenda heard. Politics should never enter in to the arena of our Constitution.

“We the People” should demand a level of excellence for our Constitution’s guards, keepers of the flame……the Constitutional sentinels. They should be individuals that will honor our Founding Fathers and their creation. I want them to be men and women who will weigh, with deep contemplation, all the far-reaching implications of their decisions without deference to pressure from special interests, no matter how noble the cause.

As to the recent pick that our President has chosen. I could care less how long he has known Harriet Miers....I have known some people for a long time (some even family members) that I would not allow them to feed my animals if I were out of town.

I could care less that she gave money to the piece of crap Al Gore. I adored Reagan and he used to be a freaking democrat and for me....President Reagan was the best President in my life time. I believe people can see the light, get a brain and change from being a Democrat to a Republican.

The fact the fact that Harry Reid thinks she is great IS a concern to me.....Hell it scare the s$%^ out of me. Reid is a waste of good air, I have no respect for him at all. (I cleaned that one up as to the words I chose to use because I can’t stand him)

Our nation’s future may very well depend on decisions made today by those we entrust with this duty. It cannot be taken lightly. It cannot be a decision made to avoid the stress of combat from the left, to avoid more controversy, to appease the other side (the Democrats).

I agree with this statement....

"This is a pick that was made from weakness. There was an opportunity here to show strength and confidence, and I don't think this is it. There are plenty of known quantities out there who would be superb for the court." - Rush Limbaugh

One of the things I will never understand is this….. we are in power and Bush has won twice and we are in the majority. We do not have to cow tow to the left, kiss up to them and yet time and time again I see this happening. It angers me beyond words. I watch the political talking heads on Sunday mornings and it is ONLY the Republicans that come on and say things like “My friend” so and so (a Republican saying to a Democrat) My Friend? You will NOT hear a Democrat say that…..I never have never heard it !!!!! That is major kissing up and it is NOT necessary.

I don’t like our country to show weakness, our Republican leadership to show weakness, it goes against everything I believe in about America. I want our military to be feared by our enemy and respected by those they fight for. That is why I despise the anti war commies that live in the freedom our military fight for them, but they do not respect our military. I want our country to be feared and respected for our strength as well as our fighting for freedom for others to have freedom in their countries like we enjoy.

If you show you are weak to others, in sports, in chess, in war, as a parent, as a boss, in decision making, if you show weakness to your opponents you give them the upper hand, you encourage them to continue to bully you, to attack you, to take you apart.

But if you stand by your convictions and stay strong, not giving in to be well liked, to avoid confrontation in matters of character, honor and choices you make in life…..many times the bullies soon disappear and give up, the enemy will know how strong you are and know they don’t have a chance. Oh the enemy will still hate you but so what. I would rather be hated by the enemy then be mediocre and wishie washie on things I believe in to try and appease anyone.

So as I said earlier, I want these choices for the Supreme Court to be held higher than politics. Most definitely not choices made to avoid confrontation between parties, or to appease those that show so little regard to our Constitution as the Democrats have done over the years. The Constitution is NOT about politics it is our very bone marrow of what we are about.

I want my President to stand tall in his beliefs, those beliefs that were the ones that caused me to vote for him in the first place. And NOT to cave in to the crowd of agitators and attackers from the left that are trying to wear him down little by little with their constant barrage of lies, innuendo’s and slander over the years. If Bush had stayed strong from day one and not given in to them over these two terms as he has periodically he would not feel the pressure he does now if this is a decision of appeasement.

If you talk the talk then by golly you damn well better walk it.If you get my vote on the premise you will be strong and not weak against those wanting to destroy our Constitution and our freedoms in this country….then you damn well better keep your word, stay strong and not let the anti- American crowd get to you no matter what. Bush was so strong about going after the terrorists, I felt so proud of him, I beamed with pride in our President and in our response to the attacks on us. I have always known President Bush is not, has not been and will never be a true Conservative. The borders etc. have shown me this, his kissing up to the left when I felt it was wrong and not necessary when we are in the majority on several issues.

Our nation’s future depends on decisions made today by those we entrust with this duty for the Supreme Court. This decision must be made from strength not weakness for someone that will put our Constitution first and foremost. If Meirs was so strong so right for this position, this country, those of us that are political junkies……well my bet is we would have heard of her before now and would already be impressed. As for me, I am NOT impressed and right now I am extremely disappointed and hell I am furious!

Video of our Brave Military! They ROCK!

"History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid" - General Dwight D. Eisenhower
"There is a rank due to the United States, among nations, which will be withheld, if not absolutely lost, by the reputation of weakness. If we desire to avoid insult, we must be able to repel it; if we desire to secure peace, one of the most powerful instruments of our rising prosperity, it must be known that we are at all times ready for war." --George Washington

Airman killed in Iraq 9/30/2005 - SAN ANTONIO (AFPN) -- An improvised explosive device killed a female Airman during a convoy mission supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Airman 1st Class Elizabeth Jacobson, 21, was providing convoy security Sept. 28 near Camp Bucca, Iraq, when the vehicle she was riding in was hit by an improvised explosive device.

The Riviera Beach, Fla., native was assigned to the 17th Security Forces Squadron at Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas. Airman Jacobson had been in the Air Force for two years and had been deployed to Iraq for more than three months.

She is the first female Airman killed in the line of duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

“She was an outstanding Airman who embraced life and took on all the challenges and responsibilities with extraordinary commitment to her country, her comrades and her family,” said Col. Scott Bethel, 17th Training Wing commander at Goodfellow.

“Her dedication to the U.S. Air Force and serving her country was evident in all aspects of who this young lady was,” he said.

“Team Goodfellow and the San Angelo community are deeply saddened by this tragic loss of one of our cherished family members,” Colonel Bethel said. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family during this difficult time. We ask that all Americans keep Airman Jacobson, her family and the men and women serving in the military, overseas and in the United States in their thoughts and prayers as they continue to keep America free.”

ONE MORE ROLL

We toast our hearty comrades who have fallen from the skies, and were gently caught by God's own hand to be with him on High.

To dwell among the soaring clouds they've known so well before. From victory roll to tail chase, at heaven's very door.

As we fly among them there, we're sure to head their plea. To take care my friend, watch your six, and do one more roll for me.

Welcome Home Howdy

Howdy is back home, and I would like to share with you a quote from him. He served 2 Tours in Iraq.

"Will I come back to Iraq? If needed to serve here again, I will keep coming as long as hate says we have not the stomach for this fight. Islamic fundamentalist terrorists cowards are just that. They cower and kill so long as they remain safe. They take their own life at the same time they steal the life of the innocent. There is no glory, honor nor respect in doing so. Without a fear in the world’s society that allows us to “tolerate” this religious hijacking, this same fear allows true believers in the Islamic faith to hide nor act in protest to the carnage brought by hate of all things not-Islamic. For that reason, I and others will continue to fight until a peace can be won, not hoped for. God Bless all those still in country."

There are photos of Howdy and his Crew at my Troops Today page at my Website.

Thank you Howdy for your service to our country.

No....No.....NO!

IRAN TO LAUNCH SPY SATELLITE

By the end of September a Russian Cosmos 3 missile will be launched from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome 800 km north of Moscow, carrying two Iranian satellites into orbit. Although the satellites are claimed to be for meteorological and experimental purposes, experts believe that one of them will possess surveillance capabilities allowing it to observe American and Israeli military facilities throughout the Middle East. More importantly, experts believe that the Iranian space program serves as a cover for developing more advanced long-range missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is a dangerous man. I would never trust him, nor believe any promises he makes to the USA....NO, not ever! To allow Iran to have two Iranian satellites.............is bad news and should be stopped if possible.

Wait Till the Facts Come In

I have lost count how many times I get furious with the reporting on TV and in the newspapers as the media does their typical negative reporting on the War in Iraq, Afghanistan and so many things. Selective reporting that I am so sick of and angry with, and the negative bent used to push their own agenda of the left.

If you feel as I do, then please go to Major K’s blog and read what he has written about this. He also has a great quote by General Sherman. MajorK is in the US Army and deployed to Iraq.

The Mayor Who Missed the Bus

Guess Who Missed the Bus?

It’s readily apparent to most of us
The New Orleans mayor missed the bus,
Ordering those with cars to evacuate,
But those without to sit and wait;
To wait for busses that never came,
Never left the lot to Hizzoner’s shame.
Now water swirls around their wheels
While Mr. Mayor squirms and squeals,
And points the finger everywhere,
At others who the blame should bear.
Mr. Mayor needs to show some class
Take his own advice, get off his ass;
Quit blaming others and get to work,
Stop being a finger pointing jerk;
Act like a man, not a whimpering wuss,
Who fell asleep on the job and missed his bus.
