CIA Director John Brennan: We HAVEN"T Reduced ISIS Terror Reach and Capability, It Remains 'Formidable adversary'

CIA Director John Brennan: We HAVEN"T Reduced ISIS Terror Reach and Capability, It Remains 'Formidable adversary'

Brennan: ISIS building network to strike enemies, ISIS adapting to coalition strategy, ISIS recruiting lone-wolf terrorists to carry out attacks, cultivating a propaganda machine into a global network

CIA director John Brennan acknowledged Thursday that U.S.-led efforts against ISIS have not reduced its “terrorism capability and global reach,” saying it remained a “formidable adversary.”

“Unfortunately, despite all our progress against ISIL on the battlefield and in the financial realm, our efforts have not reduced the group’s terrorism capability and global reach,” he said before the Senate Intelligence Committee. “The resources needed for terrorism are very modest, and the group would have to suffer even heavier losses on territory, manpower and money for its terrorism capacity to decline significantly

“In sum, ISIL remains a formidable adversary, but the United States and our global partners have succeeded in putting the group on the defensive, forcing it to devote more time and energy to try to hold territory and to protect its vital infrastructure inside of Syria and Iraq,” he said. “And though this will be a long and difficult fight, there is broad agreement in the international community on the seriousness of the threat and on the need to meet it collectively and decisively.”

Wild Thing's comment...............

This is shocking because this man is going against what his boss the vile pos Obama has been pushing and telling his lies about that ISIS is not progressing. Good for John this time I will applaud him so finally telling the truth.

So all of this is the opposite of what Obama is saying.

Possible “Human Trafficking” Case Under Investigation At Saudi Diplomatic Compound In Virginia

Possible “Human Trafficking” Case Under Investigation At Saudi Diplomatic Compound In Virginia

NBC News

A case of “possible human trafficking” at a Saudi diplomatic compound in Virginia is under investigation, Homeland Security confirmed to News4.

Agents from U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement/Homeland Security Investigations and Fairfax County police were called to a home in the 6000 block of Orris Street in McLean overnight and, in the words of a source familiar with the investigation, “rescued” two women. One woman reportedly tried to flee by squeezing through a gap in the front gate as it was closing.

It’s not clear if the women, who sources say are from the Philippines, called investigators to the home themselves or if someone else did.

“Homeland Security Investigations DC did encounter two potential victims of trafficking and the investigation is ongoing,” a D.C.-based spokesman for ICE/Homeland Security investigations told News4.

The investigation is in its very early stages and complicated by the possibility some of those involved may have diplomatic immunity.

The compound featuring three security gates, a guard shack and security staff on foot patrol is owned by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, according to Fairfax County real estate records. A man outside the gates who said he works for the embassy told News4 the homeowner was at the embassy Wednesday, and vehicles driven in and out of the gates had diplomatic license plates.

Wild Thing's comment..................

They should kick these protected Saudi's out of our country.

Obama's DHS Purchases 2,700 Light-Armored Tanks to Go With Their 1.6 Billion Bullet Stockpile

DHS released a video on their newly purchased MRAPs.

The MRAP featured in this video is was in Albuquerque, New Mexico for Law Enforcement Day which was held at a local area Target Store. This MRAP is stationed in El Paso, Texas at The Homeland Security Investigations Office. MRAP is a Mine Resistant Armor Protected Vehicle.

Obama's DHS Purchases 2,700 Light-Armored Tanks to Go With Their 1.6 Billion Bullet Stockpile

According to one estimate, since last year the Department of Homeland Security has stockpiled more than 1.6 billion bullets, mainly .40 caliber and 9mm.
DHS also purchased 2,700 Mine Resistant Armor Protected Vehicles (MRAP).

he Department of Homeland Security (through the U.S. Army Forces Command) recently retrofitted 2,717 of these ‘Mine Resistant Protected’ vehicles for service on the streets of the United States.

Although I’ve seen and read several online blurbs about this vehicle of late, I decided to dig slightly deeper and discover more about the vehicle itself.

The new DHS sanctioned ‘Street Sweeper’ (my own slang due to the gun ports) is built by Navistar Defense (NavistarDefense.com), a division within the Navistar organization. Under the Navistar umbrella are several other companies including International Trucks, IC Bus (they make school buses), Monaco RV (recreational vehicles), WorkHorse (they make chassis), MaxxForce (diesel engines), and Navistar Financial (the money arm of the company).

Wild Thing's comment..................

Obama and his DHS sure have been busy.

Wild Thing's comment......

Something I will always remember that contradicts the two video's above from the new regime.

Back when G.W. Bush was president and right after 9-11 happened. A cautious warning was put out, it was shown and discussed on TV, on the radio and in newspapers. The American people were told to avoid small groups of middle eastern men in public places, and the list went on. Also if one saw suspicious activity from the small group of middle eastern men to report it.

Now with the Muslim in the WH they have done all they can to try and stop the media and the population from referring to terrorists as Muslim and also the videos above are a good example of how the brain washing is done.

This is not about whites being innocent or all guilty or even close. But these videos are stupid and just so obvious propaganda to get Muslims to look innocent.

95 Year Old Woman Forced to Remove Adult Diaper During TSA Patdown

95 year old Woman Forced to Remove Adult Diaper During TSA Patdown

The Transportation Security Administration stood by its security officers Sunday after a Florida woman complained that her cancer-stricken, 95-year-old mother was patted down and forced to remove her adult diaper while going through security.

CNN

The 95-year-old woman was flying to Michigan from Florida to be with family during final stages of her battle with leukemia. The daughter says her mother was stopped at a TSA checkpoint for 45 minutes. During the pat-down, TSA agents "felt something suspicious" inside the adult diaper and "could not complete the security check without the Depends off." Here's another video report of PC insanity courtesy of the TSA

The TSA released a statement Sunday defending its agents' actions at the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport.

"While every person and item must be screened before entering the secure boarding area, TSA works with passengers to resolve security alarms in a respectful and sensitive manner," the federal agency said. "We have reviewed the circumstances involving this screening and determined that our officers acted professionally and according to proper procedure."

Jean Weber told CNN's Fredricka Whitfield on Sunday that the security officers may have been procedurally correct, but she still does not believe they were justified, especially given her mother's frail condition.

Wild Thing's comment.......

This TSA situation is totally out of control. It’s become a pretext to institute an intrusive search procedures agenda on American citizens rather than to protect Americans from terrorists.

And now these bums have a union!

9/11 Responders To Be Warned They Will Be Screened By FBI's Terrorism Watch List

9/11 Responders To Be Warned They Will Be Screened By FBI's Terrorism Watch List

WASHINGTON

A provision in the new 9/11 health bill may be adding insult to injury for people who fell sick after their service in the aftermath of the 2001 Al Qaeda attacks, The Huffington Post has learned.

The tens of thousands of cops, firefighters, construction workers and others who survived the worst terrorist assault in U.S. history and risked their lives in its wake will soon be informed that their names must be run through the FBI’s terrorism watch list, according to a letter obtained by HuffPost.

Any of the responders who are not compared to the database of suspected terrorists would be barred from getting treatment for the numerous, worsening ailments that the James Zadroga 9/11 Health And Compensation Law was passed to address.

It’s a requirement that was tacked onto the law during the bitter debates over it last year.

The letter from Dr. John Howard, director of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, informs medical providers and administrators that they should begin letting patients know before the new program kicks in this July.

“This is absurd,” said Glen Kline, a former NYPD emergency services officer. “It’s silly. It’s stupid. It’s asinine.”

“It’s comical at best, and I think it’s an insult to everyone who worked on The Pile and is sick and suffering from 9/11,” said John Feal, a former construction worker who lost half a foot at Ground Zero and runs the advocacy group Fealgood Foundation.

The provision was added in an amendment by Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Fla.) during the heated debate over the bill in the House Energy and Commerce Committee last May.

Sept. 11 responders in the committee room at the time mostly shook their heads at the move, which Democrats accepted on a voice vote after battling to bar other amendments on abortion and immigration that might have killed the bill.

But suddenly the point is no longer just a strategic concession to get a law passed.

As doctors and administrators begin acting on the federal instructions, participants in the 9/11 treatment and monitoring programs will soon be told that their names, places of birth, addresses, government ID numbers and other personal data will be provided to the FBI to ensure they are not terrorists.

Howard's instructions include a sample letter to responders designed to minimize alarm.

“Although neither we nor [the Centers for Disease Control]/NIOSH anticipate the name of any individual in the current Programs will be on the list, CDC/NIOSH is expressly required by law to implement this particular requirement of the Act,” it says.

“Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to working with you and ensuring that you continue to receive uninterrupted services under the new WTC Health Program,” it concludes.

Feal, who counts hundreds of first responders in his foundation's membership, predicted the letters would not go over well.

“When cops and firefighters get this at home, they’re going to hit the roof,” he said.

Kline, who sits on the Fealgood Foundation’s board, said he personally wasn’t offended, but couldn’t think of a good reason for cops and firefighters to be screened by the FBI in order to keep getting treatment.

“I mean, who are we even talking about -- the undocumented workers who cleaned the office buildings?” wondered Kline Thursday. “We know who all the cops, firefighters and construction workers were. They’re all documented.

“Is the idea that a terrorist stayed to help clean up? And then stayed all these years to try and get benefits?” he asked. “In all the things I’ve seen out of Washington, this probably takes the cake.”

Some are more understanding.

“Do we want terrorists getting money? No,” said Anthony Flammia, a former NYPD Highway Patrol officer and Sept. 11 responder. “How do you know if there were any terrorists there? Were they there as observers, watching? Probably.”

But he noted that his perspective likely would not be shared, especially if people whose names are similar to actual terror suspects get flagged, as happens with air travelers.

“I’ve got nothing to hide, so it’s no big deal for me, but there’s got to be safeguards in place to protect the people who are innocent,” Flammia said. “It’s going to be controversial,” he added. “It’s probably going to create an uproar, but I think it will dissipate. I hope they're ready to answer people's questions.”

Congressman Stearns said in a statement that his intent was to answer exactly the questions raised by Flammia.

“This amendment was adopted in the full Energy and Commerce Committee without opposition and it merely requires that the names of those receiving health benefits be cross-checked with the terrorist watch list to ensure that no terrorists get these benefits,” Stearns said.

“These benefits are not just for our first responders; nearly anyone who was in the vicinity or worked on a cleanup crew afterward is eligible,” he noted.

The prohibition is included in two parts of the bill. One specifically covers responders, while the other deals with all survivors, including office workers, bystanders and residents.

Feal acknowledged that the terrorist screening has to be done because it is the law, and that the letters have to go out.

But he holds Stearns responsible, as well as several other Republicans who were hostile to the 9/11 bill, and tried to tack all manner of amendments onto it.

“I think Congressman Stearns is stabbing at pettiness. He’s a buffoon,” Feal said. “We get sicker and die, and they’re going to disseminate a letter wondering whether we’re terrorists or not. ... I think everybody needs to start showing a little more compassion.”

Wild Thing's comment...........

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano Explains the New Terror Threat ( Alert ) Warning System ~ Well Sort Of Nah She Is Mess!!!

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano Explains the New Terror Threat Warning System

New System Replaces Color Coded Terror Alerts

Politico 44

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano unveiled a new terrorism alert system on Wednesday, which will eliminate the Bush-era color-coded chart that had been criticized as ineffective.

The new National Terrorism Advisory System, which will go into effect on April 26, aims to provide details of potential threats, like locations, types of transportation or infrastructure affected, actions taken in response, and recommendations on how the public should respond. It will categorize alerts in one of two ways: "elevated threat" or "imminent threat."

"We face a consistent and evolving threat -- part of it is international and part of it now is homegrown - and we have to deal with both," Napolitano said on MSNBC Wednesday morning. "We want people to be safe and want people to help participate in our own safety by being better informed and better prepared. That's part of the reason have moved beyond the color-code system now."
The department plans to use social media to alert people about potential threats, and the warnings will tend to be specific to a region, Napolitano said.

"That old analogy about connecting the dots ... that's not the problem anymore," she said. "The problem is that we have so many dots coming in -- what's the pattern, what's the trend and what are the tactics that we need to anticipate?"

The new system will gather information from many sectors of the intelligence community, including the FBI and the CIA, Napolitano said. "They will be helping digest the data and making recommendations to me about whether we have something specific enough, credible enough, imminent enough that we need to put out an alert," she said.

Announcing the change in New York, Napolitano cited a "significant day as we continue to build and strengthen our homeland security architecture." She also thanked the city's transit agency for creating the "See Something, Say Something" campaign, which she said brought attention to having ordinary people be "aware of their own surroundings."

Border Officer Reveals Weapon of Mass Destruction Was Found in the US

Questions Raised Over Weapons Of Mass Effect In San Diego Nukes found at Port part 1

.

Nukes found at Port of San Diego? Part 2

.

Nukes found at Port of San Diego? Part 3

'A weapon of mass destruction was found in the U.S.': Shock confession of Customs officer

San Diego’s assistant port director told a television channel in the city that a ‘weapon of mass effect’ has been found by ‘partner agencies’ in the U.S.

A port official has admitted that a ‘weapon of mass effect’ has been found by ‘partner agencies’ in the U.S., raising major questions over a possible government cover-up.

The disturbing revelation came in an interview with San Diego’s assistant port director screened by a television channel in the city.

The Customs and Border Protection Department tried to dampen speculation over his remarks, but doubts remained over whether he had inadvertently revealed a dirty bomb plot to attack the U.S. mainland.

Concern over a secret WMD bust came after U.S. cables made public by the Wikileaks whistleblower website revealed terror groups were plotting a ‘nuclear 911.’

In the interview screened by San Diego’s 10News, Al Hallor, assistant San Diego port director, said ‘weapons of mass effect’ had been found, although he did not specify exactly where or what they were.

Reporter Mitch Blacher asked Mr Hallor: ‘Do you ever find things that are dangerous like a chemical agent or a weaponised device?’

‘At the airport, seaport, at our port of entry we have not this past fiscal year, but our partner agencies have found those things,’ the customs official replied.

So, specifically, you're looking for the dirty bomb? You're looking for the nuclear device?’ asked Mr Blacher.

‘Correct. Weapons of mass effect,’ said Mr Hallor.

‘You ever found one?’ asked Mr Blacher.

‘Not at this location,’ Mr Hallor said.

‘But they have found them?’ asked Mr Blacher.

‘Yes,’ said Mr Hallor.

‘You never found one in San Diego though?’ Mr Blacher asked.

‘I would say at the port of San Diego we have not,’ Mr Hallor said.

‘Have you found one in San Diego?’ Mr Blacher asked.

The interview was then interrupted and cut short by a public relations official before Mr Hallor was able to answer the question.

San Diego's Customs and Border Protection agency was unavailable for comment today.

Earlier, Mr Hallor told Mr Blacher: ‘Potentially every city in America is a target. Given the waterways and the access to the Navy fleet here, I’d say, absolutely, San Diego is a target.

He was explaining how the port checks cargo ships arriving at the port. He suggested the customs ‘partner agencies’ may have found the 'weapons of mass effect.'

Former Secret Service agent and airline security director Glen Winn told 10News Mr Hallor’s comments appeared to be credible.

‘This person was, I believe, knowledgeable, has a very important position with the port and the government and as such has that knowledge,’ he said.

‘You posed some very serious questions as to security gaps and discoveries that perhaps have taken place in this area.

'I want to know how many and where did you find them so if I'm in that area, driving around and I see something that is out of place, I make a phone call,’ he added.

But 10News said a spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security told them Mr Hallor was 'just nervous' in the interview and 'mis-spoke'.

The spokesman denied officials said weapons of mass destruction had never been found in the U.S.- but would not answer questions about dirty bombs or chemical weapons.

After the interview, the Customs and Border Protection department in San Diego issued a statement denying it had dealt with any nuclear-related smuggling attempts.

‘CBP has not specifically had any incidents with nuclear devices or nuclear materials at our ports of entry,’ it said.

‘CBP is an all-threats agency. The purpose of many security measures is to prevent threats from ever materializing by being prepared for them.

'And, we must be prepared to stop threats in whatever form they do materialise at the border, whether it’s an individual or cargo arriving by land, air, or sea.

'Regardless of what the contraband or threat is, we’re being smart, evaluating, and focusing in on anything or anyone that is potentially high-risk.’

No WMDs have ever been smuggled into the US, or, a least, none have been disclosed.

There were reports more than six years ago that al Qaeda was planning to try and sneak a bomb through a secret tunnel into Arizona from northern Mexico, although it was never substantiated. Just last year, a 2,200 ft cross-border drugs tunnel was discovered in San Diego, complete with lighting and ventilation.

One reason for covering up a known attempt would be to prevent public panic. Just three days ago, acting Inspector General of the Department of Justice, Cynthia Schnedar, criticised U.S. efforts to prepare for a potential WMD attack as 'uncoordinated and fragmented'.

While the FBI had made adequate precautions for dealing with a WMD fallout, other branches of the DOJ were not sufficiently ready.

With the exception of the FBI, other departments had no training, did not participate in drills and had not selected an individual to take charge over WMD response operations, she said.

'In addition, while the department had designated the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives as the lead agency to coordinate the use of federal law enforcement resources to maintain public safety and security if local and state resources are overwhelmed during a WMD incident, ATF had not adequately prepared for this role,' she added.

A year ago, the Commission on the Prevention of Weapons of Mass Destruction Proliferation and Terrorism said the U.S. government should be doing more to prevent the nuclear threat.

Work to improve the nation's response to biological attacks and efforts to reform intelligence gathering and other aspects of homeland security all received an 'F' on the report.

The Groper Union Wins a Big One ~ TSA Shuts Door On Private Airport Screening Program

TSA shuts door on private airport screening program

CNN

A program that allows airports to replace government screeners with private screeners is being brought to a standstill, just a month after the Transportation Security Administration said it was "neutral" on the program.

TSA chief John Pistole said Friday he has decided not to expand the program beyond the current 16 airports, saying he does not see any advantage to it.

Though little known, the Screening Partnership Program allowed airports to replace government screeners with private contractors who wear TSA-like uniforms, meet TSA standards and work under TSA oversight. Among the airports that have "opted out" of government screening are San Francisco and Kansas City.

The push to "opt out" gained attention in December amid the fury over the TSA's enhanced pat downs, which some travelers called intrusive.

Rep. John Mica, a Republican from Florida, wrote a letter encouraging airports to privatize their airport screeners, saying they would be more responsive to the public.

At that time, the TSA said it neither endorsed nor opposed private screening.

"If airports chose this route, we are going to work with them to do it," a TSA spokesman said in late December.

But on Friday, the TSA denied an application by Springfield-Branson Airport in Missouri to privatize its checkpoint workforce, and in a statement, Pistole indicated other applications likewise will be denied.

"I examined the contractor screening program and decided not to expand the program beyond the current 16 airports as I do not see any clear or substantial advantage to do so at this time," Pistole said.

He said airports that currently use contractor screening will continue to be allowed to.

Pistole said he has been reviewing TSA policies with the goal of helping the agency "evolve into a more agile, high-performance organization."

Told of the change Friday night, Mica said he intends to launch an investigation and review the matter.

"It's unimaginable that TSA would suspend the most successfully performing passenger screening program we've had over the last decade," Mica said Friday night. "The agency should concentrate on cutting some of the more than 3,700 administrative personnel in Washington who concocted this decision, and reduce the army of TSA employees that has ballooned to more than 62,000."

"Nearly every positive security innovation since the beginning of TSA has come from the contractor screening program," Mica said.

A union for TSA (Transportation Security Administration) employees said it supported the decision to halt the program.

"The nation is secure in the sense that the safety of our skies will not be left in the hands of the lowest-bidder contractor, as it was before 9/11," said John Gage, president of the American Federation of Government Employees. "We applaud Administrator Pistole for recognizing the value in a cohesive federalized screening system and work force."

Advocates of private screeners say it is easier to discipline and replace under-performing private screeners than government ones.

But Congress members have differed over the effectiveness of private screeners.

Mica said tests show that private screeners perform "statistically significantly better" than government screeners in tests of airport checkpoints. But the Government Accountability Office says it "did not notice any difference" during covert checkpoint testing in 2007. Both groups failed to find concealed bomb components, the GAO said.

Check out this press release from the government union thugs celebrating this great victory for them ~ Wild Thing

TSA Union Applauds Ending of Airport Privatization Program

USNewswire/ --The American Federation of Government Employees today praised Transportation Security Administration Administrator John Pistole for putting a stop to the privatization of this country's airport screening function, also known as the Screening Partnership Program (SPP).

"The nation is secure in the sense that the safety of our skies will not be left in the hands of the lowest-bidder contractor, as it was before 9/11" AFGE National President John Gage said. "We applaud Administrator Pistole for recognizing the value in a cohesive federalized screening system and workforce."

Airports have had the option of opting out of the federal screener system since TSA was created, but in those nine years only a handful out of 450 have chosen to do so. Today, Pistole issued a memo to the TSA workforce stating "to preserve TSA as an effective, federal counterterrorism security network, SPP will not be expanded beyond the current 16 airports, unless a clear and substantial advantage to do so emerges in the future."

AFGE is the nation's largest federal employee union and the only union to represent TSOs since the agency's inception. With more than 12,000 dues-paying members in 38 AFGE TSA Locals across the country, AFGE is the union of choice for TSOs across the country.

Wild Thing's comment......

I guess the fox does not want any help guarding the hen house.

The headline for the article might as well read, " Government Employee Shuts Door on Plan that Would Reduce the Number of UNION” employees"

TSA chief John Pistole said Friday he has decided not to expand the program beyond the current 16 airports, saying he does not see any advantage to it.

Who made him king?

The first thing a government agency does when threatened by the private sector is to put an end to the private sector.

IMO the main goal of the TSA is to support the democrat party with funds and warm bodies. All that airport stuff is a distant second in importance.

Pilot Who Angered TSA With YouTube Video Goes Public

Pilot who angered TSA with YouTube video goes public

Chris Liu, the pilot who angered Janet Napolitano last week by revealing potential loopholes in airport security, went public on Monday. The 50 year-old pilot told CNN that TSA sent an anti-terrorism task force to his home after he posted his video on YouTube.

The pilot who posted a cell phone video on YouTube revealing potential loopholes in airport security identified himself Monday and said he is “pretty shocked” by the national uproar he has caused.

Chris Liu, a 50-year-old Colfax resident and 27-year veteran pilot, said in an interview with a Sacramento television station that he never imagined his “little video” of what he felt were lax procedures at San Francisco International Airport would get much attention.

The video, posted Nov. 30, has since been pulled from YouTube, and Liu has been stripped of his role in a federal anti-terrorism program that allowed him to carry a handgun while flying. His story has been covered by media across the country – including local outlets, CNN and Fox News.

“I never even thought about being an activist,” Liu told News 10 Monday night, “but it’s kind of turning into that direction.”

A website Liu set up to chronicle his story indicates a man on a mission.

“The Patriot Pilot: An American Hero,” describes what Liu views as a contrast between security measures faced by travelers and airline employees and those faced by ground crews. He also expresses his frustration with the Transportation Security Administration’s response to his security complaint.

TSA officials arrived at Liu's Colfax house earlier this month and confiscated his weapon. Placer County sheriff's deputies, who accompanied the TSA, suspended his permit to carry a concealed weapon.

TSA authorities have defended the action, saying that pilots who participate in the program "must be able to maintain sensitive security information."

Werno said that Liu has since flown several flights, but remains under investigation by the TSA.

Liu's gripe with airport security measures focuses on ground crews who he said need only swipe a badge to access the tarmac and parked planes.

Neither the ground workers nor their belongings are inspected, Liu argues.

Airline Pilot Punished for Exposing TSA in YouTube Video

An airline pilot is being disciplined by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for posting video on YouTube pointing out what he believes are serious flaws in airport security.

"The TSA message was, 'You've angered us by telling the truth.'"

10 News

SACRAMENTO, CA - An airline pilot is being disciplined by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for posting video on YouTube pointing out what he believes are serious flaws in airport security.

The 50-year-old pilot, who lives outside Sacramento, asked that neither he nor his airline be identified. He has worked for the airline for more than a decade and was deputized by the TSA to carry a gun in the cockpit.

He is also a helicopter test pilot in the Army Reserve and flew missions for the United Nations in Macedonia.

Three days after he posted a series of six video clips recorded with a cell phone camera at San Francisco International Airport, four federal air marshals and two sheriff's deputies arrived at his house to confiscate his federally-issued firearm. The pilot recorded that event as well and provided all the video to News10.

At the same time as the federal marshals took the pilot's gun, a deputy sheriff asked him to surrender his state-issued permit to carry a concealed weapon.

TSA GOON SCANNING MEDAL OF HONOR WINNER!

.

Janet Napolitano has set up a "Trusted Traveler Plan," that will allow "low-risk" Mexican citizens to travel into the United States without going through Customs and Border Protection.

.

Trusted Traveler Program Sparks Fears That Mexican Drug Cartels Could Bypass U.S. Airport Security

FOX News

Mexican citizens will soon be eligible to apply for a "trusted traveler" status that will allow them to bypass some elements of airport security when they fly into the United States — a U.S. government-approved program that critics say could be exploited by violent drug cartels.

Under the program, Mexicans who have undergone background checks and are deemed low security risks will be able to fly into major U.S. cities and breeze through customs without being questioned by U.S. Customs agents.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and her Mexican counterparts announced their intent to roll out the program two weeks ago, trumpeting it as evidence of increased information sharing and law enforcement collaboration between the countries.

The program is designed to weed out low-risk passengers and enable authorities to zero in on those who may be more likely to pose a threat.

But critics say Mexico's drug cartels will quickly learn how to exploit loopholes in the plan, and they point to the recent arrests of two pre-vetted "trusted travelers" caught trying to smuggle marijuana and other contraband into the U.S. through a Texas border checkpoint.

Sheriff Larry Dever of Cochise County, Ariz., says drug cartels could recruit Mexicans with clean backgrounds to attain trusted traveler status, and then use them to smuggle drugs and other contraband into the U.S.

“We know even on this side of the border that drug cartels recruit people to apply for jobs with Customs and Border Protection, Immigration — they keep them clean so they pass background checks,” he said.

Wild Thing's comment.........

They are constantly looking for ways to weaken U.S. security!!! Neither Mexican drug cartel or muslims are her enemy. But Veterans and patriotic Americans sure as hell are. Homeland continues making America safe for illegal aliens, including Islamic terrorists, who have been sneaking over the border along with the rest of the illegal hordes.

This is a horrible story which illustrates more astounding incompetence and I wonder if Al Qaeda is having a good laugh...or moving operatives into Mexico? Please, PLEASE America, fire this awful administration in 2012. Our lives depend upon it.

Homeland Security and Walmart Public Service Announcement

Press Office U.S. Department of Homeland Security Dec. 6, 2010

‘IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING’

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano today announced the expansion of the Department’s national “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign to hundreds of Walmart stores across the country—launching a new partnership between DHS and Walmart to help the American public play an active role in ensuring the safety and security of our nation.

“Homeland security starts with hometown security, and each of us plays a critical role in keeping our country and communities safe,” said Secretary Napolitano. “I applaud Walmart for joining the ‘If You See Something, Say Something’ campaign. This partnership will help millions of shoppers across the nation identify and report indicators of terrorism, crime and other threats to law enforcement authorities.”

The “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign—originally implemented by New York City’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority and funded, in part, by $13 million from DHS’ Transit Security Grant Program—is a simple and effective program to engage the public and key frontline employees to identify and report indicators of terrorism, crime and other threats to the proper transportation and law enforcement authorities.

More than 230 Walmart stores nationwide launched the “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign today, with a total of 588 Walmart stores in 27 states joining in the coming weeks. A short video message, available here, will play at select checkout locations to remind shoppers to contact local law enforcement to report suspicious activity.

Over the past five months, DHS has worked with its federal, state, local and private sector partners, as well as the Department of Justice, to expand the “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign and Nationwide SAR Initiative to communities throughout the country—including the recent state-wide expansions of the “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign across Minnesota and New Jersey.

Partners include the Mall of America, the American Hotel & Lodging Association, Amtrak, the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, sports and general aviation industries, and state and local fusion centers across the country.

In the coming months, the Department will continue to expand the “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign nationally with public education materials and outreach tools designed to help America’s businesses, communities and citizens remain vigilant and play an active role in keeping the county safe.

Wild Thing's comment......

If I see a guy who is playing as in impostor POTUS does that mean I need to report him? Since he doesn’t have the authentic birth certificate that makes him very, very suspicious. Janet will you do anything about this?????

I don’t have a problem with urging folks not to be shy about reporting suspicious behavior. It is just that coming from Janet and this administration........Conditioning the American People to rat on their Neighbors under the guise of ‘security’ — how Soviet of the administration. Remember how Obama had people sending emails when they saw people posting things against him???

A-hem, if I see something, where do I go to report what I see. Do I go to the secret undercover agent conducting a cleanup in isle 3???

Also considering what is going on at our southern border, I am very impressed (not) with how Obama and Janet are zeroing in on the real problems of national security.

Who knows too there may be real threats we do not know about and Janet wants us to do her job for her. We could keep her busy if we live where a lot of illegals shop at Walmart. Keep the phone lines busy reporting everyone we think might be an illegal. heh heh.....insert evil grin.

Report: Homeland Security Compiling TSA Enemies List

The Department of Homeland Security is gathering names and information about anti-Transportation Security Administration activists, members of the media, and other supposed troublemakers for investigation and possible tracking, according to an internal DHS memo cited by security expert and Northeast Intelligence Network Director Douglas Hagmann.

Hagmann’s report, first published last week on the NIN website and in Canada Free Press, is causing widespread condemnation and ridicule of the U.S. regime across the internet. According to the article, Hagmann was contacted by a source within the DHS following publication of a previous article on TSA abuses entitled “Gate Rape of America.”

The secret memo was written “in response to the growing public backlash against enhanced TSA security screening procedures and the agents conducting the screening process,” explained the DHS document’s introductory paragraph. It was issued in the form of an “administrative directive” after high-level meetings between American “security” bosses like Janet Napolitano and TSA overlord John Pistole. And Obama apparently approved.

The memo reportedly labels opponents of the TSA’s heavy-handed groping, naked-body scanners, and other procedures as “domestic extremists.”

Federal bureaucrats are actually instructed to identify and electronically report individuals falling under the “extremist” classification — including “any person, group or alternative media source” opposed to the TSA’s Fourth Amendment violations — to the Homeland Environment Threat Analysis Division, the “Extremism and Radicalization” branch of the Office of Intelligence & Analysis section of the DHS. The dragnet also includes anyone who “supports and/or elicits support” for people causing “disruptions.”

“It would appear that the Department of Homeland Security is not only prepared to enforce the enhanced security procedures at airports, but is involved in gathering intelligence about those who don’t. They’re making a list and most certainly will be checking it twice,” wrote Hagmann in the article, entitled "DHS & TSA: Making a list, checking it twice."

“Meanwhile, legitimate threats to our air travel security (and they DO exist) seem [to be] taking a back seat to the larger threat of the multitude of non-criminal American citizens who object to having their Constitutional rights violated,” he added. “As I have written before, it has nothing to do with security and everything to do with control.”

One concern expressed repeatedly is the notion that the TSA, not content to trample on just the Fourth Amendment rights of Americans, is now moving to stifle the right to free speech as well. “The First Amendment is in more serious jeopardy than one might have previously imagined,” noted author Edward Cline, a contributing editor to Family Security Matters.

“Do not cave in to the TSA’s 'conditioning' to make your silence a measure of normalcy,” Cline concluded. “The government’s intention is to inure Americans to living in a state of obedient and submissive servitude.”

Wild Thing's comment.........

Well it seems we are no longer free to move about our country.

They are not looking for “terrorists”. They are conditioning the sheep and showing the slaves who the master is.

DHS & TSA: Making A List, Checking It Twice

DHS & TSA: Making a list, checking it twice

Canada Free Press

By Doug Hagmann

Following the publication of my article titled “Gate Rape of America,” I was contacted by a source within the DHS who is troubled by the terminology and content of an internal memo reportedly issued yesterday at the hand of DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano. Indeed, both the terminology and content contained in the document are troubling. The dissemination of the document itself is restricted by virtue of its classification, which prohibits any manner of public release. While the document cannot be posted or published, the more salient points are revealed here.

The memo, which actually takes the form of an administrative directive, appears to be the product of undated but recent high level meetings between Napolitano, John Pistole, head of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA),and one or more of Obama’s national security advisors. This document officially addresses those who are opposed to, or engaged in the disruption of the implementation of the enhanced airport screening procedures as “domestic extremists.”

The introductory paragraph of the multi-page document states that it is issued “in response to the growing public backlash against enhanced TSA security screening procedures and the agents conducting the screening process.

” Implicit within the same section is that the recently enhanced security screening procedures implemented at U.S. airports, and the measures to be taken in response to the negative public backlash as detailed [in this directive], have the full support of the President.

In other words, Obama not only endorses the enhanced security screening, but the measures outlined in this directive to be taken in response to public objections.

The terminology contained within the reported memo is indeed troubling. It labels any person who “interferes” with TSA airport security screening procedure protocol and operations by actively objecting to the established screening process, “including but not limited to the anticipated national opt-out day” as a “domestic extremist.”

The label is then broadened to include “any person, group or alternative media source” that actively objects to, causes others to object to, supports and/or elicits support for anyone who engages in such travel disruptions at U.S. airports in response to the enhanced security procedures.

For individuals who engaged in such activity at screening points, it instructs TSA operations to obtain the identities of those individuals and other applicable information and submit the same electronically to the Homeland Environment Threat Analysis Division, the Extremism and Radicalization branch of the Office of Intelligence & Analysis (IA) division of the Department of Homeland Security.

For “any person, group or domestic alternative media source” that actively objects to, causes others to object to, supports and/or elicits support for anyone who engages in such travel “disruptions” at U.S. airports (as defined above) in response to the enhanced security procedures, the [applicable DHS administrative branch] is instructed to identify and collect information about the persons or entities, and submit such information in the manner outlined [within this directive].

It would appear that the Department of Homeland Security is not only prepared to enforce the enhanced security procedures at airports, but is involved in gathering intelligence about those who don’t. They’re making a list and most certainly will be checking it twice. Meanwhile, legitimate threats to our air travel security (and they DO exist) seem to be taking a back seat to the larger threat of the multitude of non-criminal American citizens who object to having their Constitutional rights violated.

As I have written before, it has nothing to do with security and everything to do with control.

.

Wild Thing's comment........

Rush has said this, Bobby Jindal has said it and all of you at Theodore's World have said this is about control, and I agree. I believe this is all in response to the election. The American people have risen up and now the dissent needs to be quelled..er “patted down”

They know that they’re governing against the will of the people. The world sees this as well. Obama is without a mandate, and he knows it. Therefore, he’s without excuse.

This man is an enemy to the United States, and should be tried for treason, and locked up for the rest of his life. He had better be prepared to absolutely crush us.

So the word “Terrorist” to Obama and Janet N. and the rest of them must be the new word for what is actually Constitutional Patriot. Why are terrorists not and anti-gropers terrorists? They are hoping we break first and provoke them. I suspect Obama will break first; he’s weak unlike America!

It’s pure evil. Slavery of a whole country holding freedom hostage. They steal our money with their never ending taxes, take our homes, make us stand naked before thier unholy ways on their route to a one world utopia , but they can never take our spirit. They can never chain our God. Wake up call to Obama, it’s all unraveling, he must move fast now.

Barack Hussein Obama is the enemy of the United States of America. He never was my President & never will be. He's an illegal puppet for a bigger group of plotters!

I really don’t think this man understands how much he is loathed. Well, on second thought, maybe he does, and could care less.

The important thing is, we the people care; and we’re taking notes. Day-by-day, more and more Americans see this guy as the “True enemy” of this great country.

It is our solemn duty, as citizens of these United States, to draw a line in the sand. Since we cannot now, nor ever, forsake the sacrifices of our forefathers. Men and women who shed their blood that we might all be free. To abandon their sacrifice, would be unforgivable.

Next Step For Body Scanners Could Be Trains, Boats, Metro

Next step for body scanners could be trains, boats, metro

The Hill

The next step in tightened security could be on U.S. public transportation, trains and boats.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano says terrorists will continue to look for U.S. vulnerabilities, making tighter security standards necessary.

“[Terrorists] are going to continue to probe the system and try to find a way through,” Napolitano said in an interview that aired Monday night on "Charlie Rose."

“I think the tighter we get on aviation, we have to also be thinking now about going on to mass transit or to trains or maritime. So, what do we need to be doing to strengthen our protections there?”

Napolitano’s comments, made a day before one of the nation’s busiest travel days, come in the wake of a public outcry over newly implemented airport screening measures that have been criticized for being too invasive.

The secretary has defended the new screening methods, which include advanced imaging systems and pat-downs, as necessary to stopping terrorists. During the interview with Rose, Napolitano said her agency is now looking into ways to make other popular means of travel safer for passengers and commuters.

Napolitano isn’t the only one who’s suggested that advanced scanning machines could be used in places beyond airports.

Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.), chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, introduced legislation this past September that would authorize testing of body scanners at some federal buildings.

Napolitano’s comments were in response to the question: “What will they [terrorists] be thinking in the future?” She gave no details about how soon the public could see changes in security or about what additional safety measures the DHS was entertaining.

Lawmakers from both parties have received hundreds of complaints about the new methods — some have likened the pat-downs to groping — and have called on Pistole to address the privacy concerns of their constituents, who were not informed about changes ahead of time.

Many lawmakers say the public should have been informed before the pat-downs and body-imaging techniques were put into practice. As a result, any move to implement new security screening measures for rail or water passengers is likely to be met with tough levels of scrutiny from lawmakers.

Pistole, who spent 26 years with the FBI, told reporters Monday that he rejected the advice of media aides who advised him to publicize the revised security measures before they took effect. Terrorist groups have been known to study the TSA’s screening methods in an attempt to circumvent them, he said.

Napolitano said she hoped the U.S. could get to a place in the future where Americans would not have to be as guarded against terrorist attacks as they are and that she was actively promoting research into the psychology of how a terrorist becomes radicalized.

“The long-term [question] is, how do we get out of this having to have an ever-increasing security apparatus because of terrorists and a terrorist attack?” she said. “I think having a better understanding of what causes someone to become a terrorist will be helpful."

DHS and intelligence officials are not as far along in understanding that process as they would like, Napolitano said, adding that until that goal is reached, steps need to be put in place to ensure the public’s safety.

“We don’t know much,” she said. “If you were to try and devise a template about what connects this terrorist to this terrorist and how they were raised and what schools they went to and their socioeconomic status, or this or that, it’s all over the map.

“I think there’s some important work that’s being done on that but … the Secretary of Homeland Security cannot wait for that.”

Janet....ISLAM you freaking idiot. It has nothing to do with what schools they went to, how they were raised, who came from a loving home or a bad one. OMG .........OMG can you believe this totally insane thinking she has.

I don't care about the psychology of how a terrorist becomes radicalized. I'm only curious about the physiology of how a terrorist becomes dead.

Janet Reno.... and Janet Napolitano. Where do Democrats find these women? Do they have a recruiting office in Hell? In WWII Germany they would have been matrons at women’s concentration camps.

Obama's TSA NOT Allowed To Profile!

TSA Chief: We won’t adopt Israel’s security standards because we don’t profile

WASHINGTON, Nov. 21 (UPI)

The chief of the U.S. Transportation Security Administration John Pistole said Sunday airport screening procedures will not be changed despite public outcry.

In this interview with Candy Crowley, TSA Chief John Pistole said it is obligatory that Americans have to suffer through the embarrasment and invasiveness of pat-downs in the airports.

While he admits that these procedures are uncomfortable, he said the government must do this for our own good.

And in a rare time of honesty, when asked why not adopt Israel’s great security procedures, he replied that they don’t profile.

Isn’t that the problem? All of us have to suffer through these ridiculous procedures, so we don’t offend a certain group.

John Pistole said, "We know that we face a determined enemy who has been adept at devising and concealing explosive devices."
He said he was "very attuned" to objections to full-body scams and patdowns, but, "No, we're not changing the policies, because of that, because of the risks that have been identified because of the current threat in the stream."

"Very few people actually receive the patdown," Pistole said. "In spite of all the public furor about this, very few people do."

In a moment of honesty, TSA Chief Pistole admitted today that Israel has effective security techniques but that we can’t use those techniques here in the US because “we don’t profile.”

Transcript:

CROWLEY: What’s over the line? What’s over the line?

All those things were fine. You saw a woman whose breasts were being felt. You saw a man whose — you know, had another man’s hand in his crotch. What’s over the line?

PISTOLE: I think that’s for the — the public to help inform that discussion. Clearly, if we are to detect terrorists, who have again proven innovative and creative in their design and implementation of bombs that are going to blow up airplanes and kill people, then we have to do something that prevents that. So it really comes down to the question…

CROWLEY: But the public didn’t have any choice in this. And there is outcry, and they don’t really know — I know that you’ve driven everybody to the TSA website and said, look here. But because you don’t want to reveal to terrorists what’s going to be checked, there’s no way for anybody to look at that website and know where they’re going to be touched and where it’s not allowed to be touched. And so what you seem to be saying is, you can be touched anywhere…

PISTOLE: Well, I think the Israeli model, which a number of people have talked about, uses intelligence in a different way, profiling. And then if in terms of a pat-down, if they suspect you of something, you receive a very thorough pat-down there. That is top-notch security. The question is, do we profile here in the U.S.? No, we don’t. So how then do we use intelligence that informs the decisions and judgments. And given what we saw from last night in terms of this new Web publication that describes in detail how the cargo bombs were done, how the design concealed, and how they are using technology to disguise and defeat the screening mechanisms we have in place, look, it’s a difficult question, Candy.

TSA Chief Pistole admitted that the Israel security procedures are “top-notch” but the US won’t use these techniques because America does not profile.

Rep. John Mica, R-Fla., a longtime TSA critic who will be chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee in the new Congress, said, "I don't think the rollout was good and the application is even worse. This does need to be refined. But he's saying it's the only tool and I believe that's wrong."

He said a study had found that the private screeners can perform "statistically significantly better" than the TSA.

.

Interesting.........an HOUR later....... Pistole’s statement to POLITICO modified his vow a few hour earlier on CNN’s “State of the Union” that the procedures were "not going to change.

Airport Security TSA - 500 feet of security line in Chicago November 16, 2010

TSA chief: Screening may evolve

Politico

Heeding a sudden furor, John Pistole, administrator of the Transportation Security Administration, said in a Sunday afternoon statement to POLITICO that airport screening procedures “will be adapted as conditions warrant,” in an effort to make them “as minimally invasive as possible, while still providing the security that the American people want and deserve.”

TSA's new flexibility comes as the government gears up for a flood of travel over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Administration officials say any changes are more likely to be in the implementation of the security procedures than in the security measures themselves.

Pistole’s statement to POLITICO modified his vow a few hours earlier on CNN’s “State of the Union” that the procedures were "not going to change."

GOP's Mica: Ditch TSA, Hire Private Contractors

CBS

A powerful Florida congressman and longtime critic of the Transportation Security Administration is pushing for airports to ditch TSA agents and hire private contractors to handle the security screening of air passengers.

Federal law allows airports to opt for screeners from the private sector instead of the TSA. (San Francisco International Airport already does.)

As criticism grows of the government's new full-body imaging scanners and the alternative "enhanced" pat-downs, some airports are considering ditching TSA agents altogether.

This month, Republican Rep. John Mica of Florida wrote letters to 100 of the nation's busiest airports asking that they request private security guards instead.

"I think we could use half the personnel and streamline the system," Mica said Wednesday, calling the TSA a bloated bureaucracy.

Private contractors are not a cure-all for passengers aggrieved about taking off their shoes for security checks, passing through full-body scanners or getting hand-frisked. For example, contractors must follow all TSA-mandated security procedures, including hand pat-downs when necessary.

Still, the top executive at the Orlando-area's second-largest airport, Orlando Sanford International Airport, said he plans to begin the process of switching to private screeners in January as long as a few remaining concerns can be met. The airport is within Mica's district, and the congressman wrote his letter after hearing about its experiences.

CEO Larry Dale said members of the board that runs Sanford were impressed after watching private screeners at airports in Rochester, N.Y., and Jackson Hole, Wyo. He said TSA agents could do better at customer service.

Wild Thing's comment........

Not allowed to profile but all this other stuff is OK.

As far as his back peddling is a great alternative to “All steam ahead" , I don’t see that anything has changed, just his tone.

The problem here is political correctness and Pistole even admitted to it. If you listen in to his answer about why America is not adopting Israel’s top-notch security searches, Pistole replied, we don’t profile in America. Well isn’t this the problem here? All Americans have to endure this nonsense because the government is so embarrassed and tied up in knots over offending a particular group of people.

I heard on the radio that Doctors are now warning pregnant women not to go through the scanners. I looked it up in Google and found this. It appears that the dosage of radiation received on the skin could be dangerously high.

UCSF letter to Holdren concerning health risks of full body scanner TSA screenings 4-6-2010

I wish that there was profiling of the people who are most likely to be a threat.

And, I wish that there were secret criteria used to evaulate people. For example, I’ve heard that buying a one way ticket, paying cash for a ticket, buying a ticket at the last minute, are all red flags. There may be other red flags too.

If we do go to profiling based on ethnicity/country of origin, etc. the terrorists will adapt. They might recruit more native born Americans. But, whatever the case, there should be some secrets in our arsenal so the bad guys don’t know what’s coming.

When the liberals decided to punish Bush and publicize the details of waterboarding and other techniques, it gave the terrorists valuable information about what we do, and, what the limits of our interrogations were. The fact that they didn’t know what was coming was very valuable to us in those situations. And it could be very valuable with airport screenings too.

I hope that there are some secret evaluations going on now in airports. Secrecy and unpredictability can be valuable allies in any security measures.

Anyone thinking this is crazy talk please educate yourself and research the rise of the Third Reich this is how it started. Hitler started a fire at the Parliament building and blamed the communists in order to gain popularity, once he was victorious he started marginalizing his enemies. Remember Obama referring to us as enemies to the illegal alien crowd?

Then Hitler took away guns, he started removing civil liberties, he sicked his gestapo on Jews, communists, gypsies, basically anyone who he had marginalized (just like Obama marginalizing conservatives as enemies).

Jews were forced to wear golden stars to identify themselves as Jews, the media was completely in bed with Hitler and bashed Jews (just as the media is supporting Obama's TSA Nazism).

Then Jews were arrested, sent to concentration camps and killed.

Those who don't know their history are condemned to repeat it!!!

TSA Confiscates Nail Clippers From Soldiers Returning From Afghanistan

Big Government.com

A friend of mine sent me this about his TSA experience. He, unlike most of us, was coming back into the country from Afghanistan on a military charter

As the Chalk Leader for my flight home from Afghanistan, I witnessed the following:

When we were on our way back from Afghanistan, we flew out of Baghram Air Field. We went through customs at BAF, full body scanners (no groping), had all of our bags searched, the whole nine yards.

Our first stop was Shannon, Ireland to refuel. After that, we had to stop at Indianapolis, Indiana to drop off about 100 folks from the Indiana National Guard. That’s where the stupid started.

First, everyone was forced to get off the plane–even though the plane wasn’t refueling again. All 330 people got off that plane, rather than let the 100 people from the ING get off. We were filed from the plane to a holding area. No vending machines, no means of escape. Only a male/female latrine.

It’s probably important to mention that we were ALL carrying weapons. Everyone was carrying an M4 Carbine (rifle) and some, like me, were also carrying an M9 pistol. Oh, and our gunners had M-240B machine guns. Of course, the weapons weren’t loaded. And we had been cleared of all ammo well before we even got to customs at Baghram, then AGAIN at customs.

The TSA personnel at the airport seriously considered making us unload all of the baggage from the SECURE cargo hold to have it reinspected. Keep in mind, this cargo had been unpacked, inspected piece by piece by U.S. Customs officials, resealed and had bomb-sniffing dogs give it a one-hour run through. After two hours of sitting in this holding area, the TSA decided not to reinspect our Cargo–just to inspect us again: Soldiers on the way home from war, who had already been inspected, reinspected and kept in a SECURE holding area for 2 hours. Ok, whatever. So we lined up to go through security AGAIN.

This is probably another good time to remind you all that all of us were carrying actual assault rifles, and some of us were also carrying pistols.

So we’re in line, going through one at a time. One of our Soldiers had his Gerber multi-tool. TSA confiscated it. Kind of ridiculous, but it gets better. A few minutes later, a guy empties his pockets and has a pair of nail clippers. Nail clippers. TSA informs the Soldier that they’re going to confiscate his nail clippers. The conversation went something like this:

TSA Guy: You can’t take those on the plane.

Soldier: What? I’ve had them since we left country.

TSA Guy: You’re not suppose to have them.

Soldier: Why?

TSA Guy: They can be used as a weapon.

Soldier: [touches butt stock of the rifle] But this actually is a weapon. And I’m allowed to take it on.

TSA Guy: Yeah but you can’t use it to take over the plane. You don’t have bullets.

Soldier: And I can take over the plane with nail clippers?

TSA Guy: [awkward silence]

Me: Dude, just give him your damn nail clippers so we can get the f**k out of here. I’ll buy you a new set.

Soldier: [hands nail clippers to TSA guy, makes it through security]

This might be a good time to remind everyone that approximately 233 people re-boarded that plane with assault rifles, pistols, and machine guns–but nothing that could have been used as a weapon.

To Janet Napilitano, our military returning and vets are the real enemy and terrorists. it’s not supposed to make sense, just control. Rush Limbaugh talked about it too.....Rush: Obama groping flyers to punish them for voting GOP - ‘This is all about control...."Republicans enjoyed a tidal wave of success earlier this month, taking control of the U.S. House of Representatives, winning six U.S. Senate seats and seven governorships. That doesn't include a record 680 seats going to Republicans in state legislatures, and 19 legislatures switching from Democrat to GOP control. Limbaugh says it's because of that political tsunami that Americans are now being subject to radiation scanning that turns flyers into nude avatars, and those who refuse the scan become subjects of patdown searches that involve touching the genitals of men, women and children.

"The American people are the ones who are guilty. The American people are the suspects. The American people are the ones who need to be controlled. Now this is not gonna be contained at airports, folks. Obama and the Department of Homeland Security are promising to start searching subways and buses and trains and people on them.
"And these are the same people trying to force everybody into public transportation. These are liberals. None of this is accidental. None of this is for the betterment of anybody but them. This is all about control and illustrating power to control. That's what this. And when they say, 'If you don't like being patted down, don't fly,' remember that's your government talking to you."

Limbaugh called Americans' backlash against the heightened measures "a miniature revolt," and said, "There's a simple way to stop this stuff. It's called profiling. We're not doing what's simple here. The solutions are simple, they're just hard for some people to stomach."

These Heroes should have been shown respect and they should have been honored.

OBAMA is in charge of the TSA, this is OBAMA’s mess!

This part did have me laughing though at how stupid the TSA are. Gotta love this conversation.

TSA Guy: You can’t take those on the plane (nail clippers).

TSA Pat -Down Leaves Bladder Cancer Survivor Humiliated and Covered In Urine

Thomas Sawyer, 61, said he was left "humiliated" and covered in urine after undergoing a TSA pat-down.

TSA pat-down leaves traveler covered in urine

'I was absolutely humiliated,' said bladder cancer survivor

MSNBC Travel News

A retired special education teacher on his way to a wedding in Orlando, Fla., said he was left humiliated, crying and covered with his own urine after an enhanced pat-down by TSA officers recently at Detroit Metropolitan Airport.

“I was absolutely humiliated, I couldn’t even speak,” said Thomas D. “Tom” Sawyer, 61, of Lansing, Mich.

Sawyer is a bladder cancer survivor who now wears a urostomy bag, which collects his urine from a stoma, or opening in his stomach. “I have to wear special clothes and in order to mount the bag I have to seal a wafer to my stomach and then attach the bag. If the seal is broken, urine can leak all over my body and clothes.”

On Nov. 7, Sawyer said he went through the security scanner at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. “Evidently the scanner picked up on my urostomy bag, because I was chosen for a pat-down procedure.”

Due to his medical condition, Sawyer asked to be screened in private. “One officer looked at another, rolled his eyes and said that they really didn’t have any place to take me,” said Sawyer. “After I said again that I’d like privacy, they took me to an office.”

Sawyer wears pants two sizes too large in order to accommodate the medical equipment he wears. He’d taken off his belt to go through the scanner and once in the office with security personnel, his pants fell down around his ankles. “I had to ask twice if it was OK to pull up my shorts,” said Sawyer, “And every time I tried to tell them about my medical condition, they said they didn’t need to know about that.”

…“One agent watched as the other used his flat hand to go slowly down my chest. I tried to warn him that he would hit the bag and break the seal on my bag, but he ignored me. Sure enough, the seal was broken and urine started dribbling down my shirt and my leg and into my pants.”

The security officer finished the pat-down, tested the gloves for any trace of explosives and then, Sawyer said, “He told me I could go. They never apologized. They never offered to help. They acted like they hadn’t seen what happened. But I know they saw it because I had a wet mark.”

Humiliated, upset and wet, Sawyer said he had to walk through the airport soaked in urine, board his plane and wait until after takeoff before he could clean up.

Wild Thing's comment......

Another horrible example of ordinary people being humiliated in public by TSA thugs. My heart goes out to this man. God bless this man. Prayers that he soon has better days.

Also these TSA guys are clueless of medical equipment and devices. People wear catheters, colostomy bags, etc. and the TSA evidently haven’t briefed their employees about them.

There’s lots of people with pacemakers, medicine pumps, colostomy bags, urostomy bags, suprapubic catheters, etc. They’re going to spend all their time on the people with medical devices and have no time for “real” terrorists.

$11,000 Fine, Arrest Possible For Some Who Refuse Airport Scans and Pat Downs

TSA’s New Theme Song, “See Me, Feel Me”

.

Sun Sentinel

If you don’t want to pass through an airport scanner that allows security agents to see an image of your naked body or to undergo the alternative, a thorough manual search, you may have to find another way to travel this holiday season.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is warning that any would-be commercial airline passenger who enters an airport checkpoint and then refuses to undergo the method of inspection designated by TSA will not be allowed to fly and also will not be permitted to simply leave the airport.

That person will have to remain on the premises to be questioned by the TSA and possibly by local law enforcement.

Anyone refusing faces fines up to $11,000 and possible arrest.

“Once a person submits to the screening process, they can not just decide to leave that process,” says Sari Koshetz, regional TSA spokesperson, based in Miami.

Koshetz said such passengers would be questioned “until it is determined that they don’t pose a threat” to the public.

But Barbera said that if a person is judged to be a possible threat, deputies are legally permitted to detain and search that individual. "The deputies will do it at the airport just as they would do it anywhere else," she said.

Once cleared by the TSA and deputies, the people will be allowed to leave, she said.

Meanwhile, the American Civil Liberties Union was urging Americans to petition the Department of Homeland Security, which oversees the TSA, to change the new policies.

"All of us have a right to travel without such crude invasions of our privacy," the ACLU said in a statement. "Tell DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano to put in place security measures that respect passengers' privacy rights. You shouldn't have to check your rights when you check your luggage."

The ACLU outlined ways for citizens to respond to TSA demands at checkpoints and also provided a form letter for filing complaints.

But the TSA stuck to its guns. Testifying before Congress Wednesday, TSA Administrator John S. Pistole said inspectors at the nation's airports would enforce the new policies despite complaints that the search methods are too invasive.

"We have to ensure that each person getting on every flight is secure," Pistole said.

In March, the TSA introduced AIT scanners -- also known as "nude body" or "whole body' scanners -- and now uses them in more than 60 airports.

TSA Searching Little Boy

This is what is written in the video description.

Lets get the facts straight first. Before the video started the boy went through a metal detector and didn’t set it off but was selected for a pat down. The boy was shy so the TSA couldn’t complete the full pat on the young boy. The father tried several times to just hold the boys arms out for the TSA agent but i guess it didn’t end up being enough for the guy. I was about 30 ft away so i couldn’t hear their conversation if there was any. The enraged father pulled his son shirt off and gave it to the TSA agent to search, thats when this video begins.

Disgusting and shameful for them to do this. My God, he was a little kid !

The poor person with bladder cancer, the woman with a breast prosthesis......now THIS?

But they won't allow people to profile and they allow this????

This has nothing to do with terrorism. It is all about conditioning us for government intrusion. Obama said that he lost the election because the people were not accustomed to government intrusion. He is ensuring that we become accustomed to it.

Cancer Surviving Flight Attendant Forced To Remove Prosthetic Breast During Pat-Down

Cancer surviving flight attendant forced to remove prosthetic breast during pat-down

wbtv.com

CHARLOTTE, NC

A Charlotte-area flight attendant and cancer survivor contacted WBTV after she says she was forced to show her prosthetic breast during a pat-down.

Cathy Bossi lives in south Charlotte and has been a flight attendant for the past 32 years, working the past 28 for U.S. Airways.

In early August Bossie was walking through security when she says she was asked to go through the new full body-scanners at Concourse "D" at Charlotte Douglas International.

She reluctantly agreed. As a 3-year breast cancer survivor she says she didn't want the added radiation through her body. But, Bossi says she did agree.

"The T.S.A. Agent told me to put my I.D. on my back," she said. "When I got out of there she said because my I.D. was on my back, I had to go to a personal screening area."

She says two female Charlotte T.S.A. agents took her to a private room and began what she calls an aggressive pat down. She says they stopped when they got around to feeling her right breast… the one where she'd had surgery.

"She put her full hand on my breast and said, 'What is this?'. And I said, 'It's my prosthesis because I've had breast cancer.' And she said, 'Well, you'll need to show me that'."

Cathy was asked to show her prosthetic breast, removing it from her bra.

"I did not take the name of the person at the time because it was just so horrific of an experience, I couldn't believe someone had done that to me. I'm a flight attendant. I was just trying to get to work."

Since then, Cathy has contacted the Legislative Affairs Team, a group through the flight attendant union. She says she wants to see a crackdown on these personal pat downs.

"There are blowers and there are dogs out there that can sniff out bombs," she says. "There's no reason to have somebody's hands touching your body parts."

A T.S.A. representative says agents aren't supposed to remove any prosthetics, but are allowed to ask to see and touch any passenger's prosthetic.

T.S.A. says it will review this matter.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano is Considering Giving Exemptions to Muslim Women at Airports

.

A former assistant TSA administrator admits that airport security checkpoints violate the 4th amendment

TSA agents are now putting their hands down people’s pants.

Prison Planet

The TSA’s invasive new screening measures include officers literally putting their hands down people’s pants if they are wearing baggy clothing in a shocking new elevation of groping procedures that have stoked a nationwide revolt against privacy-busting airport security measures.

TSA goons in San Diego recently, another victim of Big Sis was told by TSA officials that it was now policy to go even further when dealing with people wearing loose pants or shorts.

Going through airport security this past weekend, radio host Owen JJ Stone, known as “OhDoctah,” related how he was told that the rules had been changed and was offered a private screening. When he asked what the procedure entailed, the TSA agent responded, “I have to go in your waistband, I have to put my hand down your pants,” after which he did precisely that.

Stone chose to conduct the search in public in the fear that the TSA worker would be even more aggressive in a private room.

“If you’re wearing sweat pants or baggy clothing, I was wearing sweat pants they’re not baggy, they’re sweat pants,” said Stone, adding that the agent pulled out his waistband before patting his backside and his crotch.

'If you touch my junk, I'll have you arrested'

'If you touch my junk, I'll have you arrested'

wnd

"I don't understand how a sexual assault can be made a condition of my flying," said 31-year-old John Tyner to a pair of Transportation Security Administration officials insisting on giving him a "groin check" before boarding his plane.

Tyner was scheduled to fly this weekend out of San Diego International Airport when he was pulled from the security line at the metal detectors and told he would be either subjected to one of the TSA's full-body scanners – which reveal a virtually nude image of passengers – or a full-body "pat-down," including an inspection of his inner thigh.

Discomforted by the invasive procedures and the thought of a security officer touching his genitals, Tyner made a joke that has since made him an instant Internet folk hero:

"If you touch my junk, I'm gonna have you arrested."

Tyner's words have since resonated in dozens of online comments and thousands of views on YouTube, for the comment – and the controversial discussion that followed – was recorded by Tyner's cell phone.

Though the phone was with his belongings, and thus only caught audio of his confrontation with TSA officials, the camera's footage is posted on a blog Tyner created detailing the incident and viewable below, with his "touch my junk" comment and ensuing confrontation beginning at roughly the 3:45 mark:

For Tyner, however, his troubles had only begun when he threatened to have the TSA officer arrested.

A female supervisor was called over to handle "issue," and she promptly explained to Tyner that he had two choices: submit to the groin check or be escorted back out of the airport.

"I don't understand how a sexual assault can be made a condition of my flying," Tyner objected.

"This is not considered a sexual assault," the supervisor said.

Tyner replied, "It would be if you weren't the government."

According to Tyner's account, he was eventually confronted by more senior TSA administrators and one San Diego police officer before being escorted back out of the security area to the ticket counter. To his amazement, American Airlines then refunded the price of his non-refundable ticket.

Before he could leave the airport, however, Tyner says a TSA employee insisted that if he left the airport, he would be subject to a civil suit and a $10,000 fine.

Nonetheless, Tyner left and then made his story public.

His blog repeats the refrain, "I would not be groped."

Tyner also told his story to the San Diego Union-Tribune:

"People generally are angry about what is going on," said Tyner, "but they don't know how to assert their rights. ... There is a general feeling that TSA is ineffective, out of control, over-reaching."

Though Tyner insists he's not trying to start a "movement," he nonetheless told the newspaper, "It's time to stop treating passengers like criminals and start treating them as assets."

Earlier this week WND reported as dozens of other airline passengers shared their real-life horror stories of close encounters of the TSA kind, including a 70-year-old whose fudge "contraband" was discovered, a Los Angeles passenger who was "groped" four times and a man who was the target of a TSA screaming fit when he chose to opt-out of the "porno scan."

Just a day earlier, WND reported on the growing movement by activists and citizens to push back against Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano's plans for "enhanced" screening at airport checkpoints.

How the Israelis do airport security

In the wake of the failed Christmas Day bombing of Northwest Flight 253, authorities are ramping up air passenger screening, particularly for those flying from 14 nations that the U.S. describes as "state sponsors of terrorism or other countries of interest."

Hundreds more full body scanning machines are on order for U.S. airports. But some airline security experts say the real answer to greater security is to follow the approach used by Israel's airline, El Al.

Isaac Yeffet, the former head of security for El Al and now an aviation security consultant in New York, said El Al has prevented terrorism in the air by making sure every passenger is interviewed by a well-trained agent before check-in.

"Stop relying only on technology," Yeffet told CNN. "Technology can help the qualified, well-trained human being but cannot replace him."

Yeffet spoke to CNN Friday.

CNN: What do you think we've learned about airport security from the failed bombing in Detroit?

Isaac Yeffet: We learned one thing. We do not have a good security system to be able to prevent tragedies in this country.

After Lockerbie, everyone thought, now we've learned the lesson of how to be proactive instead of being reactive. Unfortunately, September 11 came and we know the result. Thousands of people lost their lives. Security totally failed, not at one airport, at three different airports around the country.

In 2002, we had Richard Reid, the shoe bomber. This man gave the security people all the suspicious signs that any passenger could show. The man got a British passport in Belgium, not in England. Number Two: he flew to Paris, he bought a one-way ticket from Paris to Florida. He paid cash. He came to the airport with no luggage. What else do I need to know that this passenger is suspicious?

What did we learn from this? Just to tell the passenger from now on, you take off your shoes when you come to the airport? This I call a patch on top of a patch.

Now we face the story with [Umar Farouk] AbdulMutallab. We had all the information that we could dream the security people could get. He was on the list of people connected to al Qaeda. I don't need more to understand that when he comes, I am not looking for more evidence. He is suspicious; I have to take care of him.

and other sources:

Yahoo

American Spectator

Israel, which prides itself on airport and airplane security, showed off robots and procedures to keep passengers safe. One method has been condemned in other countries — profiling.

Before approaching the ticket counter, passengers are thoroughly questioned by "selectors" who look for travelers who match a suspicious profile.

"In the U.S., profiling is a bad word," Liss said, but he defended the practice, saying it is done by "intelligent, motivated" university students who served in Israel's military and can identify passengers who could pose a potential risk.

Liss said that heightened screening of passengers and carry-on luggage in international airports has pushed terror organizations to look for other vulnerable areas to attack at airports. He said many of the world's airports do not properly secure their perimeters.

"We need to protect our back door as well," said Liss, offering a look at an advanced technique the Israelis are working on.

The visitors, including experts from the U.S. and Europe, watched as security officers staged a live simulation, stopping three armed "terrorists" who broke through a rear gate.

Then they observed an unmanned vehicle patrolling the airport perimeter by remote control — a technology soon to be introduced at the Israeli airport.

Routine security procedures start far away from the terminal.

Before even entering the airport, all cars are stopped for a security check by armed guards. Cameras scan license plates to match them with a database of suspicious vehicles. Security officials said it's one of the many security filters passengers pass before boarding flights, some of them unknown to the passengers and many others still kept secret.

The Israeli airport's spokesman's unit said the main terminal is equipped with 700 closed-circuit cameras and is fortified against explosions. The large glass wall at the front and even the trash cans inside are bombproof, they said.

Israeli strategy is built on multiple face-to-face contacts between passengers and airport personnel.

A mile or so away, on the road leading to the terminals you encounter a structure that resembles a classic American highway toll plaza. It's actually a checkpoint. A young soldier approaches your vehicle, bends close to the window, peers in, and asks a few questions, innocuous things like "How're you doing? Where are you going today?" The substance of the answers (i.e. "I'm going to Casablanca") is far less important than what psychologists call your "affect" -- your demeanor, whether your gaze is steady or if it ping-pongs around, whether you are sweating heavily, whether your clothes seem appropriate to the surroundings or just subtly...well...off.

The second screening occurs while you wait on line to check your baggage. You are then approached by a uniformed young person (they are usually Israeli reservists) and "chatted with" again, the same sort of "where are you going?" stuff

The Israelis would be crazy to rely solely on passenger twitchiness, so all kinds of other elements get thrown into the mix.

In 1986 the simple question, "Did you pack your bags yourself?" ended up saving hundreds of lives.

When Richard Reid climbed aboard a trans-Atlantic flight with a British passport issued in Belgium, no luggage, a one-way ticket and a bomb in his shoe, we made everybody take off their shoes. Now that Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab has gotten past security with no luggage, a one-way ticket and a bomb in his underpants, we're going to check everybody's underpants with body scanners. But no scanner ever invented can look into another person's mind. Only when we start talking to passengers will be able to get into their heads. And that is where the real danger lies.

.

Wild Thing's comment........

Before he could leave the airport, however, Tyner says a TSA employee insisted that if he left the airport, he would be subject to a civil suit and a $10,000 fine.

I had did not know about this rule or law whatever it is. I guess it means once you start the sceening process, you are their prisoner and you can't leave. So let's say you consent to go through the scanner and it doesn't show a good enough image, they may send you to be patted down and you can't refuse. You can't change you mind and leave the area.

I wish our country would drop the BS about not wanting to profile a person. I mean we all do it every day just walking around. Did that person smile, is she or he having a good day. How nice that person is dressed, or what a cute outfit etc. All kinds of ways we profile even lightly but for safety it should be allowed for sure. Especially since Muslims can be exempt from the scanners in our country.

Mystery Shrouds Closure of 73,000 Blogs

Mystery Shrouds Closure of 73,000 Blogs

CBS News

Web host service shuts down a blogging platform and said authorities forced its hand. But the RIAA, MPAA and Homeland Security's antipiracy unit hasn't heard of the site. Who's responsible?

Blogetery.com, a little known WordPress platform used by more than 70,000 blogs, was shut down by its Web hosting company over a week ago and nobody seems willing to say why or who is responsible.

BurstNet, the Web hosting company, informed Blogetery's operator that service was terminated at the request of some law enforcement agency but wouldn't say which one. As for the reason, BurstNet hasn't made that clear either. In an e-mail to Blogetery's operator, BurstNet managers did say, however, that they had little choice but to terminate service.

"Please note that this was not a typical case in which suspension and notification would be the norm," BurstNet wrote to Blogetery's operator. "This was a critical matter brought to our attention by law enforcement officials. We had to immediately remove the server."

BurstNet executives were not immediately available for comment on Sunday afternoon.

Those BurstNet never indicated Blogetery's problems were caused by copyright violations, TorrentFreak, a blog that covers Web file-sharing issues and broke the story, wrote that the U.S. government may be involved as part of stepped-up antipiracy operations.

Nearly three weeks ago, a group of federal law enforcement agencies, including the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), a unit of the Department of Homeland Security--seized assets and Web sites belonging to people authorities say operated illegal file-sharing sites. President Barack Obama has said his administration is going to get tough on piracy and counterfeiting.

But on Sunday, a spokeswoman for ICE said "while ICE's Internet piracy enforcement efforts are still very much ongoing, we were not involved with the action."

A spokesman for the Recording Industry Association of America said Sunday that the trade group for the four top record labels had nothing to do with Blogetery's shut down. A spokesman for the Motion Picture Association of America said he had never heard of Blogetery.

That the MPAA and RIAA may not be involved makes sense. Typically, they try to make big news out of any enforcement efforts. They want them to act as deterrents.

And Blogetery's operator said in the e-mail exchange with BurstNet, that he always adhered to copyright law. Whenever anyone on his platform was accused of posting links to unauthorized movie or music files, he removed the material "within 24 hours."

What we still don't know is whether some state's enforcement agency or other branch of the federal government pressured BurstNet to cut off Blogotery. We still don't know for sure whether the reason for the shut down was due to copyright violations.

U.S. Authorities Shut Down Wordpress Host With 73000 Blogs

from Conservative Allience

Essentially a server host company named 'WordPress' that hosted seventy-three-thousand blogs, was commandeered and made to sever connections as regards the service connections to those blogs- and all data was taken by the fed, in several cases...if not all- and made unrecoverable.

Think about the implications of this for a moment.

This is reported to have happened over an as yet proved or officially presented charge of copyright infringement by some users on that network who were alleged to have been posting video and music for sharing on separate sites within that server block.

Here, I do have a suspicion that the offending sites may well have been plants, intended to give cause to the fed and not the actual targets of the shut-downs themselves. I reckon time will prove this suspicion accurate, or inaccurate.

But I do have the thought and it is worth considering...because a second story will be tied to this one and the reason for my observation will become clear.

Typically, in the case of any site owner or member(s) violations there is a warning notice sent to the server host and a subsequent cease and desist order is sent by the server host to offending sites. From there, specific 'offending' members and policies are addressed. This time, 'round...copyright czar 'Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator Victoria Espinel' took direct action and shut down these Word Press blogs. Note that this is a first and that under the expanding authority of the czars, due process does not exist in any areas of their dictatorship.

They answer to no one.

This move is part of what I had said was coming and if it is not challenged and defeated in court, then entire networks can be knocked off line on a whim with all data lost to server hosts and to users because of a 'charge' filed by the czar.

Court action in this case is unlikely, I think, because I truly do not see any Internet User Coalition up and running.
(I would very much like to be proven wrong)

In my view an intended net closure by the czar is precisely what this Internet news story is revealing.
It is unlikely that you will see much of this story in the mainstream news rooms, but it is on Drudge today.

Now, for your review and consideration, the second story..........

State Department warns employees about new website highlighting Top Secret facilities

Foreign Policy.com

The State Department is bracing for a potentially explosive new feature on the Washington Post website that would publish the names and locations of agencies and firms conducting Top Secret work on behalf of the U.S. government, according to the copy of an email obtained by The Cable.

The Diplomatic Security Bureau at State sent out a notice Thursday to all department employees warning them to protect classified information and reject inquiries from the press when the new web feature goes live.

"The Washington Post plans to publish a website listing all agencies and contractors believed to conduct Top Secret work on behalf of the U.S. Government," the notice reads. "The website provides a graphic representation pinpointing the location of firms conducting Top Secret work, describing the type of work they perform, and identifying many facilities where such work is done."

According to the notice, the Post used only open-source information to compile its site. However, if some of that open-source information turns out to have been classified, its publication by the Post doesn't change that classification, the State Department emphasized.

"All Department personnel should remain aware of their responsibility to protect classified and other sensitive information, such as the Department's relationships with contract firms, other U.S. Government agencies, and foreign governments," the notice says.

State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley confirmed the authenticity of the e-mail and said it went out to all State Department employees in the Washington, DC area, 14,574 people.

The Washington Post declined requests for comment.

Here's the full notice:

Office of Origin: DS/EX

Announcement Number: 2010_07_059

Date of Announcement: July 15, 2010

Notification of Major Media Outlet Story On Monday July 19, the Washington Post plans to publish a website listing all agencies and contractors believed to conduct Top Secret work on behalf of the U.S. Government. The website provides a graphic representation pinpointing the location of firms conducting Top Secret work, describing the type of work they perform, and identifying many facilities where such work is done.

Although the Washington Post acquired the information from open sources, all Department personnel should remain aware of their responsibility to protect classified and other sensitive information, such as the Department's relationships with contract firms, other U.S. Government agencies, and foreign governments. Employees are reminded that they must neither confirm nor deny information contained in this, or any, media publication, and that the publication of this website and supporting articles does not constitute a change to the level of classification of any information duly classified in accordance with Executive Order 13526.

In the unlikely event you are contacted for comment, please forward any request for information to the Bureau of Public Affairs, Press Relations Office at (202) 647-2492.

UPDATE: The Atlantic's Marc Ambinder publishes a related memo by Art House, the communications director of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, which appears to be just as worried as the State Department about the Post's reporting. Excerpt:

"It might be helpful as you prepare for publication to draw up a list of accomplishments and examples of success to offer in response to inquiries to balance the coverage and add points that deserve to be mentioned. In media discussions, we will seek to garner support for the Intelligence Community and its members by offering examples of agile, integrated activity that has enhanced performance. We will want to minimize damage caused by unauthorized disclosure of sensitive and classified information. "

It also describes ODNI's expections for the Washington Post series:

Themes

While we can't predict specific content, we anticipate the following themes:
The intelligence enterprise has undergone exponential growth and has become unmanageable with overlapping authorities and a heavily outsourced contractor workforce.
The IC and the DoD have wasted significant time and resources, especially in the areas of counterterrorism and counterintelligence.
The intelligence enterprise has taken its eyes off its post-9/11 mission and is spending its energy on competitive and redundant programs.

Format

The Washington Post may run a series of three articles, the first being an overview, the second focused on the large number of contractors supporting the intelligence enterprise, and the third looking at a specific community (the Fort Meade/BWI Airport area) that has expanded in part due to Intelligence Community growth.
The Washington Post is expected to work with Public Broadcasting Service's Frontline program to add a television component to this work, and will also present an interactive web site demonstrating growth of the intelligence enterprise and inviting comment and dialogue. The Post advises that "links" between individual contractors and specific agencies have been deleted, although the Post will still cite contractors and their locations.

UPDATE #2: An administration official responds to The Cable to comment on the Post series, which the administration is portraying as less than meets the eye.

"A lot of this is explainable. You want some redundancy in the Intelligence Community and you're going to have some waste. These are things we've been aware of and in some instances we agree are troubling. However, it's something we've been working on for a year and a half. It's something we've been on top of," the official said.

"There was a need for urgent expansion after 9/11 and there was a need for an expansion of contractors to fill analyst positions. There will be examples of money being wasted in the series that seem egregious and we are just as offended as the readers by those examples."

Wild Thing's comment.......

Concerning stuff to say the least.

So, why not just enforce the existing laws about copyrighting, etc? Why shut down a site? I don't recall the Federal government ever closing down a newspaper, or taking a book off the shelf that contained such material. We have Freedom of Speech, for Heaven's sake!!! If someone wants to violate existing laws, they are free to do so, and free to be prosecuted. I swear, soon we will all be wearing armbands with Obama’s symbol on them in order to prove allegiance to this dictator.

What this all shows is there is no way to stop them from taking down a blog or a forum if they want to.

Air Force Prepares for Homeland Defense and a Important Video From Mark Levin

Air Force Prepares for Homeland Defense

American Thinker

For the first time ever, the Air Force is preparing to fight an enemy on American soil. From the US Air Force:

Three units representing each component of the Air Force made history here May 16 through 23 when they successfully completed the first homeland defense operational readiness inspection.

The ORI, held at the Gulfport Combat Readiness Training Center here, was administered by the Air Mobility Command Inspector General on a trial basis, but it may help pave the way for future inspections, officials said.
"For the very first time, the U.S. Air Force has validated a unit's wartime capability to defend the homeland by fighting an enemy right here on U.S. soil," said Col. Greg Nelson, the commander of the Kentucky Air National Guard's 123rd Airlift Wing, which served as the lead organization for the ORI. (emphasis added)

As the report states, this is the first time in history the Air Force has conducted an operational readiness inspection (ORI) of this magnitude.

What "enemy" could they be preparing to fight against on U.S. soil?

Units make history with Air Force's first homeland defense ORI

U.S. Air Force

by Maj. Dale Greer

123rd Airlift Wing Public Affairs Officer

GULFPORT, MISS.

AFNS

"That represents a major shift in the way Air Force (leaders evaluate) unit readiness, because it puts the focus in our own backyard, rather than a simulated overseas location where these evaluations are usually staged," he said.

The inspection was a total force effort, with the 123rd Airlift Wing representing the Air National Guard; the 317th Airlift Group from Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, providing active-duty forces; and the 70th Aerial Port Squadron from Homestead Air Reserve Base, Fla., contributing Air Force Reserve members and equipment.

As with traditional ORIs, this one tested the ability of each unit to mobilize Airmen and equipment, fly to a remote site, operate in a hostile environment, defend against enemy attacks, and redeploy back home, all while AMC inspectors evaluated every phase of the operation.

Unlike traditional ORIs, in this one the participants were tasked with supporting civil authorities while fighting an unconventional foe in the United States. In the past, ORIs have typically required units to deploy to simulated overseas bases and defend against conventional military forces.

"I'm pleased to say that all three units passed this new test with flying colors," Colonel Nelson said. "We are ready to perform our mission of theater airlift anytime, anywhere, whether it be in support of our allies abroad or here at home in defense of the United States of America."

The ORI scenario that played out in Mississippi required more than 300 Kentucky Air Guard members to establish operations in concert with about 175 Airmen from the Texas and Florida units, forming the notional 104th Air Expeditionary Wing.

All three organizations worked seamlessly to launch theater airlift and medical evacuation sorties across the Gulf Coast region, supporting U.S. Northern Command missions and civil authorities, while foiling multiple attacks by well-organized terrorists.

The inspection posed an unusually challenging environment because of extreme weather conditions and several eleventh-hour changes caused by the non-availability of infrastructure, Colonel Nelson said.

"We didn't flinch. We didn't whine. We didn't push back to any challenge, from changes in taskings, to changes in locations, to changes in facilities at the last minute," he said. "(With temperatures hovering near 100 degrees), it also was the hottest ORI the team chief had even seen. But we maintained a great attitude, we operated safely, and we performed our mission with a level of excellence that makes me proud.
"Even more significant, this inspection marked the first time that any Air Force unit has been wartime validated in support of the security and defense of the United States of America. That's huge," Colonel Nelson said.

Col. Dan Dagher, the 317th Airlift Group commander, agreed.

"The 317th (AG), 123rd (AW) and 70th (APS) are ready -- and now tested -- to meet the challenge, reduce human suffering and save lives," he said. "If an attack on the homeland happens, we will be the first responders. Americans can sleep better knowing that the 317th (AG), 123rd (AW) and 70th (APS) can provide defense support to civil authorities in the United States, and that the very survival of thousands of ... Americans rests on our now-tested ability to immediately respond and perform mass-casualty medical evacuations after a chemical attack."

Colonel Nelson said the idea for a homeland defense/homeland security ORI originated at the Kentucky Air Guard, whose leaders asked AMC to consider using the alternate approach because it better reflects the realities of a post-9/11 world in which homeland defense has taken center stage.

"Almost everything that an airlift wing would do in support of a real-world homeland security/homeland defense mission, whether it be response to a terrorist attack on U.S. soil or humanitarian aid following a hurricane, would be in support of a lead civilian agency at the federal, state or local level," Colonel Nelson said. "As a result, the overall command and control aspects are completely different from those of an overseas operation.
"So we took our plan to the IG and said, 'You need to evaluate us on this,'" Colonel Nelson said. "They thought our approach had a lot of merit, and agreed to implement it on a trial basis. A lot of changes were required to make this approach work, but the IG developed new scenarios to test the interoperability of Department of Defense, federal, state and local agencies in defense of the homeland. As a result, our ORI provided a unique opportunity to validate how we provide tactical airlift during an emergency in the United States."

Militia Accused of Plotting to Kill Cops

A law enforcement official walks out of an armored vehicle tank in a staging area in Hillsdale County, Mich. during a search for a fugitive who is part of a Christian militia group Monday March 29, 2010. Nine members of a Christian militia group that claimed to be preparing to fight the Antichrist were charged Monday with plotting to kill a police officer and then slaughter scores more by bombing the funeral, all in hopes of touching off an uprising against the government. DETROIT (AP) - Nine alleged members of a Christian militia group that was girding for battle with the Antichrist were charged Monday with plotting to kill a police officer and slaughter scores more by bombing the funeral - all in hopes of touching off an uprising against the U.S. government.

Seven men and one woman believed to be part of the Michigan-based Hutaree were arrested over the weekend in raids in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio, and another was still being sought. Authorities blocked off a rural area Monday evening about 30 miles from the site of Saturday's raid near Adrian but wouldn't say who they were searching for or whether the search was related to the weekend raids.

FBI agents moved quickly against the group because its members were planning an attack sometime in April, prosecutors said. Authorities seized guns in the raids but would not say whether they found any explosives.

The arrests have dealt "a severe blow to a dangerous organization that today stands accused of conspiring to levy war against the United States," Attorney General Eric Holder said.

Authorities said the arrests underscored the dangers of homegrown right-wing extremism of the sort seen in the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing that killed 168 people.

In an indictment unsealed Monday, prosecutors said the group began military-style training in the Michigan woods in 2008, learning how to shoot guns and make and set off bombs.

David Brian Stone, 44, of Clayton, Mich., and one of his sons were identified as the ringleaders of the group. Stone, who was known as "Captain Hutaree," organized the group in paramilitary fashion and members were assigned secret names, prosecutors said. Ranks ranged from "radoks" to "gunners," according to the group's Web site.

Stone's ex-wife, Donna Stone, told The Associated Press that Stone pulled her son into the movement. Another of Stone's sons also was charged.

"It started out as a Christian thing," Donna Stone said. "You go to church. You pray. You take care of your family. I think David started to take it a little too far."

Prosecutors said Stone had identified certain law enforcement officers near his home as potential targets. He and other members discussed setting off bombs at a police funeral, using a fake 911 call to lure an officer to his death, killing an officer after a traffic stop, or attacking the family of an officer, according to the indictment.

After such attacks, the group allegedly planned to retreat to "rally points" protected by trip-wired explosives for a violent standoff with the law.

"It is believed by the Hutaree that this engagement would then serve as a catalyst for a more widespread uprising against the government," the indictment said.

The charges against the eight include seditious conspiracy - plotting to levy war against the U.S. - possessing a firearm during a crime of violence, teaching the use of explosives, and attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction - homemade bombs. The defendants were jailed, awaiting bail hearings Wednesday.

Hutaree says on its Web site its name means "Christian warrior" and describes the word as part of a secret language that few are privileged to know. The group quotes several Bible passages and declares: "We believe that one day, as prophecy says, there will be an Anti-Christ. ... Jesus wanted us to be ready to defend ourselves using the sword and stay alive using equipment."

The nature of the organization's alleged grudge against law enforcement and the government was unclear. The Web site does not list any specific grievances.

The site features a picture of 17 men in camouflage, all holding large guns, and includes videos of armed men running through the woods. Each wears a shoulder patch that bears a cross and two red spears.

David Cid, executive director of the Oklahoma City-based Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism, said there has been a resurgence in the past year or two of "domestic militancy" similar to what was seen before the Oklahoma City bombing.

"It's issues like eminent domain and immigration, and apparently national health care in some quarters," said Cid, a former FBI counterterrorism agent. "It's increasing these people's ire and their discomfort with their own government."

The wife of one of the defendants described Hutaree as a small group of patriotic, Christian buddies who were just doing survival training.

"It consisted of a dad and two of his sons and I think just a couple other close friends of theirs," said Kelly Sickles, who husband, Kristopher, was among those charged. "It was supposed to be a Christian group. Christ-like, right, so why would you think that's something wrong with that, right?"

Sickles said she came home Saturday night to find her house in Sandusky, Ohio, in disarray. Agents seized the guns her husband collected as a hobby and searched for bomb-making materials, she said, but added: "He doesn't even know how to make a bomb. We had no bomb material here."

She said she couldn't believe her 27-year-old husband could be involved in anything violent.

"It was just survival skills," she said. "That's what they were learning. And it's just patriotism. It's in our Constitution."

One of the defendants expressed anti-tax views during his Monday court hearing.

Thomas W. Piatek, a truck driver from Whiting, Ind., told a federal judge he could not afford an attorney because he was "getting raped on property taxes."

The mother of another defendant, 33-year-old Jacob Ward, told police in Huron, Ohio, last summer that family members took away his two guns - an AK-47 rifle and a semiautomatic pistol - because she thought he needed mental health treatment.

Ward told police that he needed to protect himself from members of a crime family that was keeping him from his girlfried, according to Huron police records obtained by the AP. He also said he was going to meet with the CIA.

Seven of the defendants in court in Michigan asked to be represented by public defenders. The eighth had a public defender appointed in Indiana.

Wild Thing's comment........

I have no idea what exactly was going on here. It is weird that this is happening right after Obamacare was voted on and passed. That is what makes me suscious about this whole thing.

However, if these guys were really plotting to kill cops, then I hope they get the chair.

I do have a question though, what about the radical islamic terrorist camps are allowed to freely train through out the US for jihad against the American people. ( ????)

Homeland Security, FBI Raids In 3 States And 7 Arrested

Mar. 28: Michigan State Police guard a home in Clayton after the FBI raided the home of a suspected militia leader

The Obama FBI conducted weekend raids on militia groups in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.

The FBI says agents have conducted weekend raids in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio, and at least three people have been arrested.

Federal warrants are sealed, but FBI spokeswoman Sandra Berchtold said Sunday there has been “law enforcement activity” in southwest Michigan. She wouldn’t say whether they were tied to the raids in the other states.

FBI spokesman Scott Wilson in Cleveland says agents arrested two people Saturday in Ohio. A third arrest was made in Illinois on Sunday, a day after raids in Indiana.

Michael Lackomar, spokesman for the Southeast Michigan Volunteer Militia, says a member of his group was called by members of a religious militia Saturday who claimed their property was being raided. Lackomar says the SMVM member declined to help and is cooperating with the FBI.

Gun Charges After FBI Raids in 3 States

FOX News

The FBI conducted weekend raids in three states and arrested at least three people, and a militia leader in Michigan said the target of at least one raid was a Christian militia group.

ADRIAN, Michigan -- The FBI said Sunday that agents conducted weekend raids in three states and arrested at least three people, and a militia leader in Michigan said the target of at least one raid was a Christian militia group.

The raids took place in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio, the FBI said. Federal warrants were sealed, but a federal law enforcement official speaking on condition of anonymity said some of those arrested face gun charges and officials are pursuing other suspects. Some of the suspects were expected in court Monday.

FBI spokeswoman Sandra Berchtold confirmed the FBI had been working in two southeast Michigan counties near the Ohio state line. FBI spokesman Scott Wilson in Ohio said agents arrested two people Saturday after raids in two Ohio towns.

A third arrest made in northeast Illinois on Sunday stemmed from a raid Saturday just over the border in northwest Indiana, both part of an ongoing investigation led by the FBI in Michigan, according to a statement from agents in Illinois.

It wasn't clear what prompted the raids, but Michael Lackomar, a spokesman for the Southeast Michigan Volunteer Militia, said one of his team leaders got a frantic phone call Saturday evening from members of Hutaree, a Christian militia group. They said their property in southwest Michigan was being raided by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, according to Lackomar.

They said they were under attack by the ATF and wanted a place to hide," Lackomar said. "My team leader said, 'no thanks."'

The team leader was cooperating with the FBI, Lackomar said. He said SMVM wasn't affiliated with Hutaree, but a handful of Hutaree members twice attended monthly training sessions with his group that focus on survival training and shooting practice.

On its Web site, Hutaree quotes several Bible passages and states: "We believe that one day, as prophecy says, there will be an Anti-Christ. ... Jesus wanted us to be ready to defend ourselves using the sword and stay alive using equipment."

An e-mail sent to the group by The Associated Press wasn't returned Sunday, and phone numbers for the group's leadership were not immediately available. Berchtold, the FBI spokeswoman in Michigan, wouldn't say whether the raids were connected to Hutaree.

Law enforcement swarmed a rural, wooded property Saturday evening near Adrian, about 70 miles southwest of Detroit, neighbors said. Two ramshackle trailers sat side-by-side on the property, the door to one slightly ajar late Sunday as if it had been forced open.

Phyllis Brugger, who has lived in the area for more than 30 years, said some people who lived there were known as having ties to militia. They would shoot guns and often wore camouflage, according to Brugger and her daughter, Heidi Wood.

"Everybody knew they were militia," Brugger said. "You don't mess with them."

About a month ago, 50 vehicles showed up on the property, and the women said neighbors assumed something bad was going on.

George Ponce, 18, who works at a pizzeria next door to a home raided in Hammond, Indiana, said he and a few co-workers stepped outside for a break Saturday night and saw a swarm of law enforcement.

"I heard a yell, 'Get back inside!' and saw a squad member pointing a rifle at us," Ponce said. "They told us the bomb squad was going in, sweeping the house looking for bombs."

He said another agent was in the bushes near the house, and law enforcement vehicles were "all over." He estimated that agents took more than two dozen guns from the house.

Another employee, Ron Jakubczak, said the man who lived in the house often wore Army fatigues and would "play-fight" with his purebred German Shepherds. People at the pizzeria were surprised to find a military transport vehicle once parked in the man's yard, he said.

In Ohio, one of the raids occurred at a well-kept trailer park in Sandusky, a small city on Lake Erie between Toledo and Cleveland. Neighbors said the man taken into custody lived in a trailer on a cul-de-sac with his wife and two young children.

A young man who answered the door at the trailer Sunday said no one from the family wanted to talk. A neighbor said he saw authorities with rifles run past his window and toward the trailer Saturday night.

"They took over the block like it was the Army. I thought we were being invaded," said Michael Morin, who lives two lots away.

Park manager Terry Mills said authorities blocked off the street for about an hour Saturday night.

"Needless to say, this has everyone talking," said Mills, 62. "We have a lot of retirees here who don't want all this commotion."

FBI agents in Ohio also made an arrest Saturday night, said Wilson, the FBI spokesman. He said no further information would be released until after they appeared in court Monday.

There is also this from the Detroit paper:

.Seven arrested in FBI raids linked to Christian militia group

Jennifer Chambers / The Detroit News

At least seven people, including some from Michigan, have been arrested in raids by a FBI-led Joint Terrorism Task Force in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana as part of an investigation into an Adrian-based Christian militia group, a person familiar with the matter said.

The suspects are expected to make an initial appearance in U.S. District Court in Detroit on Monday.

On Sunday, a source close to the investigation in Washington, D.C. confirmed that FBI agents were conducting activities in Washtenaw and Lenawee counties over the weekend in connection to Hutaree, a Christian militia group. Detroit FBI Special Agent Sandra Berchtold told The Detroit News the federal warrants in the case are under court seal and declined further comment.

Sources have said the FBI was in the second day of raids around the southeastern Michigan city of Adrian that are connected to a militia group, known as the Hutaree, an Adrian-based group whose members describe themselves as Christian soldiers preparing for the arrival and battle with the anti-Christ.

WXYZ-TV reports that helicopters were spotted in the sky for much of Saturday night, and agents set up checkpoints throughout the area. Witnesses told the station that it was like a small army had descended on the area. The Department of Homeland Security and the Joint Terrorism Task Force are also involved in the raids.

Mike Lackomar, of Michiganmilitia.com, said both The Southeast Michigan Volunteer Militia and the Michiganmilitia.com were not a part of the raid.

Lackomar said he heard from other militia members that the FBI targeted the Hutaree after its members made threats of violence against Islamic organizations.

"Last night and into today the FBI conducted a raid against homes belonging to the Hutaree. They are a religious cult. They are not part of our militia community," he said.

Lackomar said he was told there were five arrests Saturday and another five early Sunday. The FBI declined to comment.

One of the Hutaree members called a Michigan militia leader for assistance Saturday after federal agents had already began their raid, Lackomar said, but the militia member -- who is of Islamic decent and had heard about the threats -- declined to offer help. That Michigan militia leader is now working with federal officials to provide information on the Hutaree member for the investigation, Lackomar said Sunday.

"They are more of survivalist group and in an emergency they withdraw and stand their ground. They are actively training to be alongside Jesus," he said.

Sources from the Michigan militia community said one of the FBI raids took place Saturday during a wake for a Hutaree member who had died of natural causes. A Hutaree leader was arrested during the wake while at the same time agents were conducting raids at other locations.

The Associated Press is reporting that FBI spokesman Scott Wilson in Cleveland said agents arrested two people Saturday in northwest Ohio. A third arrest was made in Illinois on Sunday, a day after raids in northwest Indiana.

Dawud Walid, executive director of the Council on Islamic-American Relations of Michigan, made an announcement Sunday during the group's 10th anniversary banquet about receiving a call from a network journalist about the alleged threat against Muslims.

"Don't allow this news to scare you away from practicing your faith," said Walid.

Audible gaps were heard throughout the banquet hall when the news was announced. Walid said he will call local authorities about more information on the allegations. He urged local Muslims to recommitt themselves to their faith in light of the accusations.

Wild Thing's comment........

So looking at the maps, Huron and Sandusky are close to Detroit and are probably related to the Michigan arrests. The Hammond, Indiana location is near Chicago, but a distance from Detroit. I wonder if the attack was planned for Michigan, but the control center was in Hammond/Chicago.

DHS Officers Lost Guns In Restrooms, Bowling Alleys, Cars

DHS officers lost guns in restrooms, bowling alleys, cars

USA Today

In the first such accounting, Homeland Security officers lost nearly 200 weapons in bowling alleys, restrooms, unlocked cars and other unsecure areas from fall 2005 through 2008, USA TODAY's Thomas Frank reports. At least 15 guns ended up in the hands of gang members, criminals, drug users and teenagers.

The report, by Inspector General Richard Skinner, said most weapons were never found. They included hand guns, shotguns and military rifles.

He documented 289 missing firearms, though some were lost after Hurricane Katrina and others were stolen from safes.

DHS has disciplined some offenders and beefed up training.

CNN writes that 179 guns -- 74% of the total -- were lost "because officers did not properly secure them," the report said.

DHS had nearly 190,000 weapons in its inventory as of last summer, the report said. Most are assigned to Customs and Border Protection and ICE officers.

Though the number of lost guns is a tiny fraction, any lost weapon "is a very serious matter," said Hubert Williams, president of the Police Foundation, a think tank on law enforcement issues. "It reflects the competence of the officer."

HERE is the FULL Report in a PDF file

As the winter Olympics begin, the Department of Homeland Security has disclosed that it will be monitoring the comments and posts on websites and social media like Twitter for information on possible terror threats.

Among the sites listed in a privacy impact statement filed Friday afternoon by DHS are the Drudge Report, the Huffington Post, Twitter, Google and this web site, the Blotter.

The National Operations Center of DHS will watch the web for information, according to the statement, to "provide situational awareness" in the event of natural disaster, an "act of terrorism, or other manmade disaster."

"The Olympics are a potential target for such events," said the statement. The statement did not list all web sites and social media that the NOC will monitor, but provided 31 examples, many of them, like the Blotter, sites that cover breaking news, security, or terror.

DHS officials say they will not be monitoring the web sites extensively, but would use the sites as a reference and open source tool in the event of an incident or emergency. DHS officials also used the monitoring of social media sites in the aftermath of the Haiti earthquake to aid rescue efforts.

~snipet ~

One website that is not included on the DHS approved sites for monitoring is Facebook, since Facebook would require officials to log in.

While Canada is leading the security effort for the games with an estimated price tag of almost $1 billion, US law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, Customs Border Protection (CBP), Coast Guard, and DHS, will be assisting with security efforts due to Vancouver's proximity to the U.S.-Canada border.

We are so lucky to have Janet heading up our security. NOT!

Obama and his Administration DESPERATELY trying to convince Americans it is REALLY, REALLY on top of the terrorist threat thing.

Interesting isn’t it that after removing the word “terrorist” from “government speak” it is now back and prominent?

Pathetic bastards would be laughable if they weren’t so dangerous.

CIA Tells Congress al-Qaeda to Attack in Three to Six Months

CIA boss Leon Panetta told Congress today that homegrown extremists working for al-Qaeda will strike America in three to six months. The recruits will be clean and have no traces to the phantom terrorist organization, according to Panetta and other intelligence officials.

America’s top intelligence official told lawmakers on Tuesday that he was “highly certain” that Al Qaeda or one of its affiliates would attempt a large-scale attack on American soil within the next six months.

The assessment by Dennis C. Blair, the director of national intelligence, was much starker than his view last year, when he emphasized the considerable progress in the campaign to debilitate Al Qaeda and said that the global economic meltdown, rather than the prospect of a major terrorist attack, was the “primary near-term security concern of the United States.”

Citing a recent wave of terrorist plots, including the failed Dec. 25 attempt to blow up an airliner as it approached Detroit, Mr. Blair and other intelligence officials told a Senate panel that Al Qaeda had adjusted its tactics to more effectively strike American targets domestically and abroad.

“The biggest threat is not so much that we face an attack like 9/11,” said Leon E. Panetta, the C.I.A. director. “It is that Al Qaeda is adapting its methods in ways that oftentimes make it difficult to detect.”

Well just make sure they're read their Miranda rights ok?

And this anti-American bunch of ghouls just announces this blithely. Over and over Obama is sending invitations to our enemies to come attack us. He even seems to be opening the door wide open for it. Obama must be shivering with anticipation!

Obama definitely has got something up his sleeve, because he’s never cared about terrorism before. Maybe he is hoping it will help his poll numbers and get people not to think about the economy he is driving inot the ground.

Obama Appointee Erroll Southers Withdraws ~ Thank You Jim DeMint!!!!

I posted this awile back of how he totally was going to ignore Muslims ( terrorists) .

.

He was supposed to lead the Transportation Security Administration, but today, he’s withdrawn because “his nomination had become a lightning rod for those with a political agenda.”

He stated, “It is unfortunate that we are residing in such contentious political times, that exceptional, ‘apolitical’ candidates have to seriously consider their willingness to participate in public service.”

TSA nominee withdraws amid 'political agenda'

By JULIE PACE

The Washington Post

Wednesday, January 20, 2010; 1:52 PM

WASHINGTON

President Barack Obama's choice to lead the Transportation Security Administration withdrew his name Wednesday, a setback for an administration still trying to explain how a man could attempt to blow up a commercial airliner on Christmas Day.

Erroll Southers said he was pulling out because his nomination had become a lightning rod for those with a political agenda. Obama had tapped Southers, a top official with the Los Angeles Airport Police Department, to lead the TSA in September but his confirmation has been blocked by Republican Sen. Jim DeMint, who says he was worried that Southers would allow TSA employees to have collective bargaining rights.

In an interview with The Associated Press, Southers said the confirmation process made him question his willingness to participate in public service.

"I am not a politician. I'm a counterrrorism expert," Southers said Wednesday. "They took an apolitical person and politicized my career."
Southers said he couldn't give DeMint a definitive answer on the collective bargaining issue because it wasn't a yes or no question, and required access to information he wouldn't have had until he was confirmed.
DeMint said in a statement that answering simple, direct questions about security and integrity appeared to have been too much for Southers. He said he hoped Obama would select a new nominee quickly.
Questions have also been raised about a reprimand that Southers received for running background checks on his then-estranged wife's boyfriend two decades ago. Southers, a former FBI agent, wrote a letter to lawmakers earlier this month acknowledging that he had given inconsistent answers to Congress on that issue.

The White House said Wednesday that the Obama had accepted Southers' withdrawal with great sadness and continued to believe he would have made an excellent TSA administrator.

The withdrawal of Southers' nomination was another setback for the TSA at a time when the government is still trying to answer questions from Congress about how a man was able to carry out a bombing attempt on Christmas Day on a Northwest Airlines flight found from Amsterdam to Detroit.

Democrats had lined up behind Southers' nomination after the December incident, with Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., saying he would call for a full Senate vote on his confirmation this year.

The administration has been beset by problems with intelligence and security nominees. It took Obama eight months to nominate people to lead TSA and Customs and Border Protection - two key security agencies that play large roles in preventing another terrorist attack like the attempted Christmas bombing that shook the nation and the governmental establishment.

Obama's TSA Nominee Another Leftie NOT Not Going To Focus On Muslim Terrorists

Barack Obama's nominee to head the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) - Errol Southers - saying he worries about the danger posed by groups that are "Christian-Identity Oriented." He does not explain what he means by that.

Southers also mentions groups that are "anti-Government," "anti-abortionist," and with a "survivalist mentality."

Obama TSA Nominee Erroll Southers Calls Pro-Life Advocates Terrorists in Video

Washington, DC

LifeNews.com

Barack Obama's nominee to head the agency charged with keeping American travelers safe from terrorism thinks pro-life advocates are terrorists. A new video shows Transportation Security Administration nominee Erroll Southers including pro-life advocates in a list of terrorist groups.

The new video from 2008 shows Southers responding to a documentary-style interview question about terrorist organizations.

The documentary asked Southers, "Which home-grown terrorist groups pose the greatest danger to the U.S."

Southers explained, "Most of the domestic groups that we pay attention to here are white supremacist groups. They're anti-government, in most cases anti-abortion, they are usually survivalist type in nature, identity oriented."
"Those groups are groups that claim to be extremely anti-government and Christian identity oriented," he continues.

Sen. Jim DeMint, a South Carolina Republican, has put a hold on the nomination of Southers to head the TSA, and the new video is likely to expand opposition to his nomination.

The March 26, 2009 document features numerous definitions and the headline "antiabortion extremism," appears on page two of the eleven-page manual.

The Obama administration calls pro-life advocates violent and claims they employ racist overtones in engaging in criminal actions.
The definition reads: "A movement of groups or individuals who are virulently antiabortion and advocate violence against providers of abortion-related services, their employees, and their facilities. Some cite various racist and anti-Semitic beliefs to justify their criminal activities."

That followed a report the Department of Homeland Security sent out saying pro-life advocates were right-wing extremists.

In that document, the Department of Homeland Security warned law officials about a supposed rise in "rightwing extremist activity," saying the poor economy and presence of a black president could spark problems.
According to the Washington Times, a footnote attached to the nine-page report from the Homeland Security Office of Intelligence and Analysis say the activities of pro-life advocates is included in "rightwing extremism in the United States.”

What a bunch of BS out of this guys mouth.

Barack Obama and his administration of assorted perverts, freaks and ghouls! I applaud DeMint for trying hard and so far has been stopping the nomination.

Erroll Southers is Barack Obamas nominee to head the Transportation Safety Administration — the TSA, that organization that screens passengers getting on airplanes.

How is this relavant to the Fruita-daBoom bomber?!

I put quote marks around it and went to a search for it and “Christian Identity” is the name of a pretty famous racist group. It has as much to do with any real Christian church or faith as Fred Phelps and his nutballs.

I deplore this guy’s non focus on Muslim terrorists.

He never mentions any concern for groups or individuals that have a strong "Muslim-identity," even though virtually ever terror attack - or attempted terror attack - has been carried out by Islamic Jihadists.

And Obama thinks someone like Southers is going to make us safer.

The TSA: We're Here To Make Your Journey Miserable

We’re the Transportation Security Administration. We’re working hard to make sure you enjoy a safe flight. And while we cannot apprehend every terrorist, you can count on us to do what we’re trained to do whenever there’s a security breach–overreact to tiny threats.

Overreact to tiny threats; ignore the big ones. That’s what we do, and we do it better than anyone.

Janet Napolitano Told Reporters That She Was Most Surprised By Al-Qaeda’s Determination

.

Stephen Hayes on Napolitano: "It's As If She Hasn't Read a Newspaper in a Decade"

Janet Napolitano told reporters today that she was most surprised by Al-Qaeda’s determination.

Napolitano, Brennan briefing

Chicago Sun-Times ....for complete transcript.

Question: What was the most shocking, stunning thing that you found out of the review? And, Secretary, to you, as well.

MR. BRENNAN: Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula is an extension of al Qaeda core coming out of Pakistan. And, in my view, it is one of the most lethal and one of the most concerning of it. The fact that they had moved forward to try to execute this attack against the homeland I think demonstrated to us — and this is what the review sort of uncovered — that we had a strategic sense of sort of where they were going, but we didn’t know they had progressed to the point of actually launching individuals here. And we have taken that lesson, and so now we’re full on top of it.

SECRETARY NAPOLITANO: I think, following up on that, not just the determination of al Qaeda and al Qaeda Arabian Peninsula, but the tactic of using an individual to foment an attack, as opposed to a large conspiracy or a multi-person conspiracy such as we saw in 9/11, that is something that affects intelligence. It really emphasizes now the renewed importance on how different intelligence is integrated and analyzed, and threat streams are followed through. And, again, it will impact how we continue to

.

I heard this on Fox. Napolitano saying she was surprised by the determination of Al Qaeda. She has to be the most dangerously ignorant person ever to hold a Government position. Homeland Security......OMG.

DHS Video ~ The CELL ~ Portrays Average Americans As Terrorists

Recognizing the 8 Signs of Terrorism - The CELL

Also check out their website

http://www.thecell.org/

A new video produced in association with the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI and narrated by former Denver Broncos quarterback John Elway urges people to report suspicious activity that could constitute terrorism, behavior that includes buying gold, owning guns, using a watch or binoculars, donating to charity, and all manner of mundane things. Using a watch, a pair of binoculars, or donating to a charity are all potential Al-Qaeda behavior, the video implies.

Do you use e mail or the telephone to find out information about things? You’re probably a terrorist, according to the DHS, which classifies such behavior as “elicitation,” one of the eight signs of terror.

Do you occasionally monitor police radio, as thousands did during the recent G20 protests in Pittsburgh? You’re a terrorist.

Do you notice surveillance cameras or occasionally attempt to watch big brother back? You’re a terrorist

Wild Thing's comment.......

I love the way all the terrorists in the video are white guys. Remember when Bush was President a real President not a fake and one that did love our country and our military? He said to watch for small groups of men with the appearance of someone from the middle east. That was told to us several times, by Bush and his Homeland Security. Not like this video!

I watched it twice and I did not see anything mentioned about “muzzies”. Guess they couldn't find any swarthy looking middle eastern type actors to use in the video. If only those damn Norwegians hadn’t knocked down the twin towers. Bloody Vikings.

Elway is a conservative, I'm sure he thought he was doing a community service announcement. I feel pretty confident that Elway did not intend to imply that right wing people are terrorist. Elway was going to run in place of Pete Coors for the senate as a conservative.IMHO they are using everyday Americans as to not offend anyone. However they failed, I'm offended. being PC is no way to win a war!!!! I expected to see “No actual terrorists were harmed during the making of this film.”

Dictator Obama's DHS Want US Girl Scouts To Prepare for War, Pestilence

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano listens during the unveiling of a Girl Scout preparedness patch Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, in Laurel, Md

US Girl Scouts prepare for war, pestilence

WASHINGTON

AFP

The United States wants to enlist its 3.4 million Girl Scouts in the effort to combat hurricanes, pandemics, terror attacks and other disasters.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) launched a campaign Tuesday to entice the blue, brown and green-clad multitudes to be even more prepared, with the promise of a new patch if they pitch in.

The young scouts will be able to emblazon their sashes or vests with the patch if they undergo the training which readies them for an emergency.

"This new preparedness patch will increase citizen preparedness and enhance our country's readiness for disasters," said DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano in a statement.
"As a former Girl Scout, I know the 'Be Prepared' motto well, and I look forward to working with the Girl Scouts to spread the preparedness message to all of our nation's citizens."

The move is part of a month-long government effort to make Americans better able to cope with natural and man-made disasters.

Napolitano has urged individuals, families and businesses to stock fresh water and food, and prepare an emergency plan -- to be enacted in the event of a disaster.

The unveiling of the patch marks a partnership between the scouts and Citizen Corps, a community-based initiative under the DHS's Federal Emergency Management Agency, which coordinates national response to disasters.

Girl Scouts of the USA chief executive Kathy Cloninger said the tie up with Citizen Corps "provides an opportunity for our girls to lead the way in ensuring that their families and their communities are prepared for emergencies."

The patch will be available alongside existing Girls Are Great, Girl Scouts Against Smoking, Media Know-How and Read to Lead patches, and, of course, the Cookie Sale Activity Pin.

Girl Scouts sell an astonishing 200 million boxes of cookies each year on average, according to the organization, which was founded in 1912 and chartered by the US Congress in 1950.

It is not the first time the girl guides have been called into action in defense of the homeland.

During World War II, Girl Scouts "operated bicycle courier services, invested more than 48,000 hours in Farm Aid projects, collected fat and scrap metal, and grew Victory Gardens," according to Girl Scouts of the USA.

As the end of the second millennium neared and computers around the world were expected to be stricken with a debilitating bug, Girl Scouts were enlisted in some parts of the country to hand out advice about the threat poised by Y2K.

After the September 11, 2001 attacks scouts hosted remembrance ceremonies and wrote thank-you letters to rescuer workers.

Wild Thing's comment........

Can you imagine what some of the new girl scout cookies will be ?

suicide bomber mint....cat 5 fudge bars....earthquake peanut butter....etc.

Look for new badges for this new service to have the Obama “O” logo on them. I suspect this business with the Girl Scouts is part of the plan to get the civilian army started. Obama wants control of the children.

What happened with letting kids be kids. This isn't about writing thank you notes after the 9-11 attacks, or growing gardens during WW11. This is a whole different thing. WAR? Have them involved at all with things about the War imo especially for the very young groups of girls is wrong. Let them be little kids and doing the Girl Scouts like they used to do Pre Obama.

Heck I still love to color in coloring books it is relaxing. I even used to take them on locations for films and modeling jobs and it was fun to see how many of the other actors and stunt people would color with me. hahaa true. On the movie " Glory" half the cast came by the Hotel room we were assigned just to color for awhile.

Obama is building his army, his army of children and this is very concerning.

Obama Appoints 2 Devout Muslims to Homeland Security Posts

Obama and Janet Nappy Appoint Devout Muslim to Homeland Security Post

Arif Alikhan as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development

Source for announcement:

Homeland Security Press Room

"Today, I am proud to make two key personnel announcements for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS)—President Obama’s intent to nominate David Heyman as Assistant Secretary for Policy and my appointment of Arif Alikhan as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development. Arif comes from Los Angeles Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa’s office, where he served as Deputy Mayor for Homeland Security and Public Safety. As a key adviser to the Mayor, he has led the City’s efforts to develop homeland security, emergency management and law enforcement initiatives, including operational oversight of Los Angeles Police, Fire and Emergency Management departments." said Secretary Janet Napolitano

The Islamic loving Obama has appointed Arif Alikhan a devout Sunni Muslim to assistant secretary for the Office of Policy Department of Homeland Security. Mr. Alikhan was instrumental in taking down the LA Police Department's plan to monitor it's Muslim community.

Alikhan is affiliated with MPAC, the "Muslim Public Affairs Council".

"Founded in 1988, the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) describes itself as "a public service agency working for the civil rights of American Muslims, for the integration of Islam into American pluralism, and for a positive, constructive relationship between American Muslims and their representatives." The organization consists of eight chapters in California, and one each in Texas, Kansas, Nevada, and Iowa."
From its inception, MPAC presented itself as more inclusive, and more open to peaceful coexistence with Jews and Christians, than other Arab and Muslim groups, and sought to make Americans comfortable with Islam by showing how much the religion embraced core American values.

However, looking deeper into this group:

MPAC's Senior Advisor, Maher Hathout, who has close ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and espouses the radical brand of Islam known as Wahhabism, was invited to address the Democratic Convention in Los Angeles in 2000.
MPAC's centrist public image unraveled after the September 2000 launching of the Second Palestinian Intifada, when the Council severed its ties to the Jewish community and issued one-sided condemnations of Israel's response to the Arab violence.
This group actively opposed Bush's military incursions into Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as his "excesses" in the war on terror. In February 2003, MPAC joined the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the American Muslim Council, and the American Muslim Alliance in forming a coalition to repeal and amend the Patriot Act, which these organizations depicted as an assault on the civil liberties of Americans, particularly Muslims.

MPAC claims that Islam is a religion of peace and moderation, and contends that Muslim extremists are no more numerous or dangerous than fundamentalists in any other faith.

Holding Israel entirely responsible for the "pattern of violence" in the Middle East, MPAC asserts that Hezbollah "could be called a liberation movement." The Council likens Hezbollah members to American "freedom fighters hundreds of years ago whom the British regarded as terrorists."
In a 1999 position paper, MPAC justified Hezbollah's deadly 1983 bombing of the American Marine barracks in Lebanon as a "military operation" rather than a terrorist attack. 1983 Beirut barracks bombing, which killed 299 servicemen, including 220 U.S. Marines. As Maher Hathout puts it: "Hezbollah is fighting for freedom, an organized army, limiting its operations against military people, this is a legitimate target against occupation. … this is legitimate, this is an American value -- freedom and liberty."

Shora, who was born in Damascus, Syria

Kareem Shora Appointed by DHS Secretary Napolitano on Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC)

Washington, DC

June 5, 2009

www.adc.org

The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) is proud to announce that earlier today at a ceremony held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano swore-in ADC National Executive Director Kareem Shora as a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC).

Aaron Klein, wrote about this at wnd

Napolitano adds adviser with ties to terror backers

Swears in leader of Arab group that hailed jihadists as 'heroes'

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano swore in to her official advisory council the head of an Arab American organization whose officials have labeled deadly anti-U.S. jihadists as "heroes" and opposed referring to Hamas as a terrorist organization.

The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, or ADC, also has close ties to anti-Israel professor Rashid Khalidi, whose association with President Obama – first exposed by WND – stirred controversy during last year's presidential campaign.

The ADC takes an openly anti-Israel line.

The ADC also leads the opposition to domestic anti-terrorism measures taken after the 9-11 attacks, such as watch lists, background check delays for visas and an initiative meant to more comprehensively screen visitors from select Mideast countries or specific individuals labeled as possible national security threats.

In 1994, during one of the main peaks of Hamas suicide bombings against Israeli civilians, then-ADC President Hamzi Moghrabi said, "I will not call [Hamas] a terrorist organization. I mean, I know many people in Hamas. They are very respectable. … I don't believe Hamas, as an organization, is a violent organization."

Discover the Networks notes that two years later, Moghrabi's successor, Hala Maksoud, defended the Hezbollah terrorist group.

"I find it shocking," Maksoud said, "that [one] would include Hezbollah in … [an] inventory of Middle East 'terrorist' groups."

In 2000, new ADC President Hussein Ibish characterized Hezbollah as "a disciplined and responsible liberation force."

When Israel released Hezbollah prisoners in early 2004, Imad Hamad, ADC's Midwest Regional Director, openly celebrated the freedom of "the heroes."

Besides its deadly terrorism against Israel, Hezbollah distinguishes itself as second only to al-Qaida among terror groups responsible for killing the most Americans. It's responsible for such deadly attacks as the 1983 Beirut barracks bombing, which killed 299 servicemen, including 220 U.S. Marines.

ADC linked to Khalidi

The ADC is linked to Columbia University's Khalidi, who spoke at several of the organization's events. At one speech, in June 2002, the New York Sun documented how Khalidi appeared to condone the killing of armed Israelis.

"Killing civilians is a war crime. It's a violation of international law. They are not soldiers. They're civilians, they're unarmed," Khalidi said in a recorded address. "The ones who are armed, the ones who are soldiers, the ones who are in occupation, that's different. That's resistance."

The ADC also has collaborated on numerous projects with the Arab American Action Network, or AAAN, an organization founded by Khalidi's wife Mona, and which WND first reported received start-up funds from a nonprofit, the Woods Fund, on which Obama served as a paid director.

The AAAN, headquartered in the heart of Chicago's Palestinian immigrant community, worked on projects supporting open boarders and education for illegal aliens. Speakers at AAAN dinners and events routinely have taken an anti-Israel line. The organization co-sponsored anti-Israel projects and exhibits.

Khalidi, an apologist for PLO terrorism, holds the position of Columbia's Edward Said professorship of Arab Studies. Said, a well-known far-leftist intellectual and apologist for Palestinian terrorism, served on an advisory counsel to the ADC.

ADC opposes anti-terrorism screening

According to the ADC charter, the organization seeks to "empower Arab Americans; defend the civil rights of all people of Arab heritage in the U.S.; promote civic participation; and encourage a balanced U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East."

The organization has actively lobbied against the Patriot Act and was reportedly instrumental in scaling back some of the restrictions of the National Security Entry-Exit Registration System program, or NSEERS. Shora was personally involved in those efforts.

The NSEERS required persons whose nationality identifies them as a possible security risk to submit to control processes governed by the Department of Justice. NSEERS also targeted specific individuals labeled as possible national security threats, at times making them undergo fingerprinting, photographing and registration.

Last week, Napolitano swore in Damascus-born Kareem Shora, the ADC's national executive director, to a position on the Homeland Security Advisory Council, an outside-the-department group of national security experts that advises the secretary. Shora is the first Arab rights advocate on the panel.

At the ceremony in Albequrque, Shora reportedly recounted how he watched with his immigrant father Obama's address last week to the Muslim world. Shora said his father cried when he heard Obama's message of reconciliation.

We will have enemies protecting our gates.

Meanwhile, in other news...Farmer Appoints Fox to Guard Chicken Coop.

Let me get this straight.....these two are ok but we right wingers are extremists and Veterans are on the DHS list.

Is this appointment to protect America, or to protect Muslims? Yes I know we already know the answer don't we. So, now the terrorists have a direct source to National Security Information. What a brilliant concept.

And of course CAIR is thrilled with these appontments. When CAIR is happy about the appointment, then we're in serious trouble. They are a part of the stealth jihad to take over America. It wasn't that long ago that the FBI removed CAIR from the list of groups they would work with because of suspicions of ties to extremism. No matter what attrocity happens, CAIR is always right out in front demanding that Muslims not be persecuted.

AG Eric Holder and Obama Pledge To Protect American Muslims

DOJ issues statement “to protect American Muslims;” silent on protecting Americans from jihadists

It’s a statement “to protect American Muslims.”

"Statement of Attorney General Eric Holder on Department of Justice’s Outreach and Enforcement Efforts to Protect American Muslims

Thursday, June 4, 2009
U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder released the following statement relating to President Obama’s historic speech today in Cairo, Egypt:
“The President’s pledge for a new beginning between the United States and the Muslim community takes root here in the Justice Department where we are committed to using criminal and civil rights laws to protect Muslim Americans. A top priority of this Justice Department is a return to robust civil rights enforcement and outreach in defending religious freedoms and other fundamental rights of all of our fellow citizens in the workplace, in the housing market, in our schools and in the voting booth.
“There are those who will continue to want to divide by fear - to pit our national security against our civil liberties - but that is a false choice. We have a solemn responsibility to protect our people while we also protect our principles.”

Meanwhile, this:

The FBI confirmed Wednesday it was investigating the possibility an Atlanta Jewish site was among other planned targets of a Muslim convert accused of killing a soldier outside a Conway, Ark., recruiting center this week.
Stephen Emmett, spokesman for the Atlanta FBI office, said the investigation into the shooting turned up evidence to suggest Abdulhakim Muhammad, 23, of Little Rock, had plans for a “Jewish entity” in Atlanta. The Associated Press reported memos from the investigation showed Little Rock, as well as New York, Philadelphia, Louisville, Ky., and Memphis, were also on his list.
Emmett declined to say what specific site in Atlanta might have been in Muhammad’s plans, but “precautions were taken [in Atlanta] because of the serious nature of the Little Rock” shooting.

And this:

“The man accused of fatally shooting a soldier outside a recruiting center begged for FBI agents to free him from a Yemeni jail where he was ‘radicalized’ by Islamic terrorists, his lawyer told The Associated Press on Thursday. Lawyer Jim Hensley described Abdulhakim Muhammad as an impressionable youth driven to public service in an impoverished Middle Eastern country. But teachings by ‘hardened’ terrorists in Yemen and experiences with Afghan child refugees who were missing limbs drove him to become someone his parents didn’t recognize, Hensley said.”

And one more very interesting post you should read: An investigation by Blue Collar Republican into the Mephis mosque and imam under which the Arkansas jihadi shooter Abdulhakim Muhammad studied/worshiped.

And this one very important: Blue Collar Republican blog

Wild Thing's comment.......

Amazing. The racist/marxist/islamists are in control. It is more important to them to protect the American Muslims then making a grand sweep of protecting ALL Americans first of all and forget about Holder and Obama wanting to protect the NON Muslim Americans from terrorist attacks. How much more obvious do they have to be.

"...the Justice Department where we are committed to using criminal and civil rights laws to protect Muslim Americans"

... just damn ...

It's so nice to hear how the Obama Administration has its priorities in the right place.....NOT!

It took 3 days before Obama could even make a statement about the terrorist attack in Little Rock, the murder of a military recruiter by a jihadist on US soil at the recruiting center. And not only that but as of this morning I still do not see the statement listed at the White House website. So it was just a throw away statement and instead there are many statements about the late term abortion jerk being killed.

I hate being negative but when it comes to Obama and his people it is negative, negative against our country. I will never forgive those who voted for Obama and who put this blight upon our country.

Obama Set to Create A Cybersecurity Czar With Broad Mandate

Obama Set to Create A Cybersecurity Czar With Broad Mandate

The Washington Post

Obama is expected to announce late this week that he will create a "cyber czar," a senior White House official who will have broad authority to develop strategy to protect the nation's government-run and private computer networks, according to people who have been briefed on the plan.

The adviser will have the most comprehensive mandate granted to such an official to date and will probably be a member of the National Security Council but will report to the national security adviser as well as the senior White House economic adviser, said the sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the deliberations are not final.

The announcement will coincide with the long-anticipated release of a 40-page report that evaluates the government's cybersecurity initiatives and policies. The report is intended to outline a "strategic vision" and the range of issues the new adviser must handle, but it will not delve into details, administration officials told reporters last month.

Cybersecurity "is vitally important, and the government needs to be coordinated on this," a White House official said Friday, speaking on the condition of anonymity. "The report give conclusions and next steps. It's trying to steer us in the right direction."

The document will not resolve the politically charged issue of what role the National Security Agency, the premier electronic surveillance agency, will have in protecting private-sector networks. The issue is a key concern in policy circles, and experts say it requires a full and open debate over legal authorities and the protection of citizens' e-mails and phone calls. The Bush administration's secrecy in handling its Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative, most of which was classified, hindered such a debate, privacy advocates have said.

Obama was briefed a week ago and signed off on the creation of the position, the sources said. But as of Friday, discussions were continuing as to what rank and title the adviser would have. The idea is to name someone who can "pick up the phone and contact the president directly, if need be," an administration official said, speaking on the condition of anonymity.
Obama pledged during his presidential campaign to elevate the issue of cybersecurity to a "top priority" and to appoint a national cybersecurity adviser "who will report directly to me."

Wild Thing's comment.........

Bush did wire taping to help keep our country safe, it was not abused, it was not to intimidate citizens that were obeying the law and were only discussing politics and supporting our troops. But with Obama since he finds anyone that disagree's with him and is NO fan of our troops or Veterans one has to wonder just how broad the mandate will be.

When Obama does make his announcement of who it will be it will be for real, spying on everything, all in the name of what? Man caused disasters? Or political enemies -— Yep, that’s it.

Yoohoo, brain dead liberals, where are you?

Hugo Chvez sits in our white house, and ignorant Americans put him there.

Keep Terrorists OUT Of America

House Republicans are committed to preventing the release or transfer of terrorists to American soil.

.

Center welcomes House GOP video illuminating folly of Obama approach to Gitmo

Center For Security Police

Washington, DC: Tonight, the Center for Security Policy applauded the release, by leaders of the House Republican Conference, of a video reminding every American of the dangers of the unlawful enemy combatants currently being securely detained at the Guantanamo Bay facility in Cuba.

"This video raises the central questions," Center President Frank Gaffney asked. "'What is President Obama's plan for detaining or releasing prisoners once Guantanamo is closed? And how does it make us safer?'"
"The President has made a terrible mistake in closing the finest, most secure and best-run detention and interrogation facility in the world-- with no clue as to what will be done with its prisoners in the next six or seven months."
"Worse still, a number of them are expected to be turned loose on the American people by releasing them into Alexandria, Virginia or some other unsuspecting-- and highly vulnerable-- community in this country."
"A proposal was announced this week to send 100 Yemeni detainees to Saudi Arabia to undergo a Saudi government 'rehabilitation program' for Jihadists. This is a preposterous idea; violent Jihad against "infidels" is a central obligation for those, like the Gitmo detainees, who adhere to the program authoritative Islam calls Shariah."
"Even if detainees are shipped to one or more federal penitentiaries, they will pose a grave danger. They can teach terrorist technique and ideology to others in prison communities already rife with Islamist proselytization. And their neighbors beyond the prison walls will become new soft targets for the detainees' friends."

The Center urges a public repudiation and congressional prohibition on any Obama administration plan to transfer Guantanamo detainees-- let alone, their release into the United States.

.

The Obama administration overruled objections by federal agencies and moved ahead with their plans to release Chinese Uighur terrorists into the United States.

White House Overrides FBI and DHS on Gitmo Release

Human Events

Moving quickly to release Chinese Uighur terrorists into the United States, Obama administration officials have -- for the second time -- overridden objections of federal agencies responsible for national security.

The first time the White House overrode the inter-agency panel it created from all the national security agencies to review all the cases of the Guantanamo Bay prisoners.

That panel found that the seventeen Uighurs -- members of the East Turkestan Islamic Movement captured at an al-Queda training camp in Pakistan -- were too dangerous to release in the United States.

Now -- according to a federal agency source who requested anonymity -- the White House has also overridden opposition to the release from both the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security.

.

These Gitmo terrorists will likely receive welfare after they are released.

Welfare for Freed Gitmo Detainees?

Weekly Standard

During his news conference, Blair also said the Obama administration is still wrestling with what to do with the remaining 240 detainees at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, which the president has ordered closed.

Some of the detainees, deemed non-threatening, may be released into the United States as free men, Blair confirmed.

That would happen when they can't be returned to their home countries, because the governments either won't take them or the U.S. fears they will be abused or tortured. That is the case with 17 Uighurs (WEE'-gurz), Chinese Muslim separatists who were cleared for release from the jail long ago. The U.S. can't find a country willing to take them, and it will not turn them over to China.

Blair said the former prisoners would have [to] get some sort of assistance to start their new lives in the United States.
“We can't put them out on the street,” he said.

.

Keep Terrorists Out of America

GOP
House Republicans introduced the Keep Terrorists Out of America Act, which aims to stop the transfer or release of terrorists held at the Guantanamo Bay prison into the United States. House Republican Leader John Boehner said this:

"This bill has a straightforward but vital purpose: to ensure that the terrorists held in the Guantanamo Bay prison are not imported into the United States. We are giving every Member of Congress an opportunity to stand with the American people by affirming their opposition to bringing these terrorists into our communities, and we hope they join us. Equally asimportant, this bill holds the Administration accountable if it acts unilaterally against the will of the American people.
“The world did not suddenly become safe in January 2009. There are still terrorists around the world who are committed to killing Americans and destroying our way of life. A number of those terrorists are being held at the prison in Guantanamo Bay right now. If the Administration is allowed to proceed, they won’t be there for long. In fact, they may be right here, in the United States. I have been urging the Administration to finally present to the American people its plan for what to do with the terrorists held at Guantanamo and for confronting and defeating the global terrorist threat. Right now, that plan does not exist, and the safety of our nation depends on it.

Keep it up Republicans this is excellent. The enemy within is in our Oval Office and he needs to know all blood shed by the terrorists will be on HIS hands! That of our troops and any American anywhere in the world that is attacked by terrorists.

Guess how DHS defines who is a terrorist now?

Guess how DHS defines who is a terrorist now?

2nd 'domestic extremism' report includes 'alternative media,' 'tax resisters' in lexicon

wnd

Two weeks before the U.S. Department of Homeland Security penned its controversial report warning against "right-wing extremists" in the United States, it generated a memo defining dozens of additional groups – animal rights activists, black separatists, tax protesters, even worshippers of the Norse god Odin – as potential "threats."

Though the "Domestic Extremism Lexicon" was reportedly rescinded almost immediately, Benjamin Sarlin of The Daily Beast recently obtained and published online a copy of the unclassified memo, dated March 26, 2009.

While many of the groups listed in the lexicon – such as Aryan prison gangs and neo-Nazis – may indeed be widely considered extremists, others will likely take offense at being described as a potential "threat."

For example, the memo defines the "tax resistance movement" – also referred to in the report as the tax protest movement or the tax freedom movement – as "groups or individuals who vehemently believe taxes violate their constitutional rights. Among their beliefs are that wages are not income, that paying income taxes is voluntary, and that the 16th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which allowed Congress to levy taxes on income, was not properly ratified."
The report, however, continues in its assessment of tax protesters, asserting that members "have been known to advocate or engage in criminal activity and plot acts of violence and terrorism in an attempt to advance their extremist goals."

Similarly, the lexicon concludes its definition of "black separatists" by asserting, "Such groups or individuals also may embrace radical religious beliefs. Members have been known to advocate or engage in criminal activity and plot acts of violence directed toward local law enforcement in an attempt to advance their extremist goals."

In his blog piece titled "Who You Calling an Extremist?" Sarlin writes, "Partisans leapt to decry the first DHS memo as part of a Democratic conspiracy to marginalize right wingers. But it became clear that DHS's broad descriptions of extremists were symptomatic of an ongoing agency problem that crossed ideological lines."
The lexicon states its purpose is to provide "definitions for key terms and phrases that often appear in DHS analysis that addresses the nature and scope of the threat that domestic, non-Islamic extremism poses to the United States."

Apparently, the DHS analyzes the "threat" level of Internet news websites like WorldNetDaily, for the lexicon defines "alternative media" as "a term used to describe various information sources that provide a forum for interpretations of events and issues that differ radically from those presented in mass media products and outlets."

The term "black power," widely used in a variety of contexts, also merits a definition in the lexicon: "A term used by black separatists to describe their pride in and the perceived superiority of the black race."

The DHS memo also includes precursors to the ill-fated "Right-wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment" report, which prompted outrage from legislators and a campaign calling for the resignation of DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano.

For example, the lexicon contains virtually the same broad-stroke language the right-wing extremism report used.

"Rightwing extremism," the lexicon defines as those "who can be broadly divided into those who are primarily hate-oriented, and those who are mainly antigovernment and reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority. This term also may refer to rightwing extremist movements that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration."

The lexicon further points to those who oppose driver's licenses for illegal immigrants.

"Anti-immigration extremism," the lexicon defines as "a movement of groups or individuals who are vehemently opposed to illegal immigration, particularly along the U.S. southwest border with Mexico, and who have been known to advocate or engage in criminal activity and plot acts of violence and terrorism to advance their extremist goals. They are highly critical of the U.S. Government's response to illegal immigration and oppose government programs that are designed to extend 'rights' to illegal aliens, such as issuing driver's licenses or national identification cards and providing in-state tuition, medical benefits, or public education."

Unlike the right-wing extremism report, however, the lexicon includes definitions of extremism across a broad spectrum of issues: anarchy, animal rights extremism, black nationalism, Cuban independence, environmentalism, Jewish extremism, Mexican separatism, right-wing militias, white supremacists, the anti-war movement and more.

Among the more curious groups the DHS appears to be monitoring is the "racial Nordic mysticism" group, defined as "an ideology adopted by many white supremacist prison gangs who embrace a Norse mythological religion, such as Odinism or Asatru."

Among the more comical definitions is the description given of what "racist skinheads" wear, enabling law officers, it appears, to identify skinheads by their preferred brand of footwear:

"Dress may include a shaved head or very short hair," the report states, "jeans, thin suspenders, combat boots or Doc Martens, a bomber jacket, and tattoos of Nazi-like emblems."

Sarlin, who first publicized the memo, reports that a spokesperson for DHS told him the memo was recalled "within minutes" of being issued but declined to offer any details on the reasons for its withdrawal.

.

Wild Thing's comment.........

How interesting that this document manages to include specific black, white, Christian, Jewish, Cuban and Puerto Rican organizations, but doesn’t include a single term or organization related to Islamic terrorism? Evidently that’s no longer a problem.

"Tax protesters, Doc Martens, a bomber jacket,"....... well that is just great! I have Doc Martens, I love them and wear them when I hike or with shorts and a t-shirt in the summer. , And a bomber jacket??? My gosh I have a bomber jacket my Uncle gave me a thousand years ago that I love.

Oh and the animal rights activists well I might be ok on that one, but there was that ONE time in my early days that I participated along with 4 other Playboy models in a fund raiser
for " Fund for Animals" with ( actor) Fred McMurray and his wife ( actress) June Haver and some other celebs. Does that count, other then that I have nothing to do with the wackos in the animals rights movement at all.

Let's see I am pro Military, married to a Navy Veteran, am for FAIR Tax and against the tax system we now have, loved the Tea Parties that went on across our red, white and blue land, wear Doc Martens, have a Bomber jacket, have been in counter protests against Code Pink and other RADICAL left groups that hate our military, told Hanoi Jane off in no uncertain terms in person up close and personal, own a t-shirt with Muhammad on it with a bomb in his turban ( only for home use), and have a blog that is NOT Politically correct, and have conservative DNA running in my veins.

The tide is already turning on Obama and that Flyover in New York the other day went against him. It didn't bother the dedicated communists in our country but surely among the democrats that are beginning to see the light even in a small way about Obama. The media down played that but it was HUGE. Obama is in deep doo doo and he knows it. That is another reason he is doing all his damage sooooo fast. He knows if he slows down and gives people a chance to REALLY fight back he is sunk.

One of Obamas many flaws and there are many, is his personality. He is more like Pee Wee Herman then Joseph Stalin or Genghis Khan. He is NO leader, is a wimp, limp wrists included. He is NOT a man's man in any way. Look at his campaign it was filled with threats to anyone that disagreed with him. Packed with lies and his not being able to withstand truth in his face he had to put a separate website up just to whine about those of us telling the truth about him. LOL Now that was about as presidential as a doorknob. He is a cry baby communist.

We can take the power away from the words used in these hate mongering memos. When a liberal calls me an “extremist”, I just tell him/her “Hell yeah!” and explain that when a Marxist calls me an extremist, that means I’m doing something right. That’s what these DHS memos tell me. We are scaring them, so they are resorting to name-calling, trying to make us back off with their putting Veterans on the DHS list and all the other things. They think people don't realize that many democrats have guns too and they will defend themselves, it is not just the Veterans that have guns and know how to use them. There are people in their own party they are going to offend.

They actually could simplify that list: A terrorist is anyone who does not worship Obama. Their list is so broad that unless you sit home and never say a word against the govt. you will be on the list. The Founders were certainly extremists and certainly on the 18th century DHS list. They knew they were creating something based on liberty. They recognized the need for revolution in order to gain their freedom.

Today's liberal thinks just the opposite. He's opposed to freedom by supporting govt. Most of them don't realize it but that's what they are doing. They can't think for themselves. If they could they would realize that they are actually building the chains that will bind them in the future.

Yes put me on your hate list Janet Nappy I would be proud.

Oh just one more thing, my Mother doesn't wear ARMY boots I do, I have a pair of those too.

Hussein Obama Has More Bad Poll News

The New DHS Threat Meter set to YELLOW

Rasmussen: Republicans Top Democrats on Generic Congressional Ballot (R-41%, D-38%)

Rassmussen

For just the second time in more than five years of daily or weekly tracking, Republicans now lead Democrats in the latest edition of the Generic Congressional Ballot.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 41% would vote for their district’s Republican candidate while 38% would choose the Democrat. Thirty-one percent (31%) of conservative Democrats said they would vote for their district’s Republican candidate.

Overall, the GOP gained two points this week, while the Democrats lost a point in support. Still, it’s important to note that the GOP’s improved position comes primarily from falling Democratic support. Democrats are currently at their lowest level of support in the past year while Republicans are at the high water mark.

Democrats began the year holding a six- or seven-point lead over the GOP for the first several weeks of 2009. That began to slip in early February and the Republicans actually took a two-point lead for a single week in the middle of March. Since then, the results have ranged from dead even to a four point lead for the Democrats.

Idiot (Janet reno-wanna be) Napolitano Blames Canada For 9-11 Attack

Napolitano's comments about Canada's border sparks diplomatic kerfuffle

CTV.ca News

U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano made the comments during a media interview earlier this week, much to the chagrin of Canadians on both sides of the border.

"Unfortunately, misconceptions arise on something as fundamental as where the 9-11 terrorists came from," said Michael Wilson, Canada's ambassador in Washington.
"As the 9-11 commission reported in 2004, all of the 9-11 terrorists arrived in the United States from outside North America. They flew to major U.S. airports. They entered the U.S. with documents issued by the United States government and no 9-11 terrorists came from Canada."

Later, Napolitano's staff attempted to tamp down the controversy by blaming the comments on a simple misunderstanding, said Wilson, who was the keynote speaker at the Border Trade Alliance meeting in Washington Tuesday.

"Her comment from her people is that she misunderstood," Wilson said, adding that he was planning a personal meeting with Napolitano in the near future.

The furor began when Napolitano was asked to clarify statements she had made about equal treatment for the Mexican and Canadian borders, despite the fact that a flood of illegal immigrants and a massive drug war are two serious issues on the southern border.

"Yes, Canada is not Mexico, it doesn't have a drug war going on, it didn't have 6,000 homicides that were drug-related last year," she said.
"Nonetheless, to the extent that terrorists have come into our country or suspected or known terrorists have entered our country across a border, it's been across the Canadian border. There are real issues there."

When asked if she was referring to the 9-11 terrorists, Napolitano added: "Not just those but others as well."

On Tuesday afternoon, RCMP Commissioner William Elliot expressed frustration with the comments during an interview on CTV's Power Play.

"I was somewhat surprised and disappointed," he said, adding he hopes the misconception has been cleared up.
"I understand and am happy to hear that she has issued a statement acknowledging that that didn't happen."

But Thomas d'Aquino, president of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives, decried Napolitano's comments on Tuesday.

"I am a longstanding friend and ally of the United States, but sometimes failures in our two-way dialogue cause me to shake my head in sadness and dismay," he said in a press release.
"The claim that some of the 9/11 terrorists entered the United States from Canada is, quite simply, a myth - an urban legend that began with a handful of erroneous media reports in the days following the terrorist strikes."

Wild Thing's comment.......

This woman (???) is a total idiot for starters.

Diversion away from the real danger-—the Mexican border. She’s a buffoon of the highest order. Every time I see a head shot of Nappy, I think of Janet Reno and the Waco massacre shown live on CNN. These two were separated at birth.

Senators Express Outrage over “Right Wing Extremism” Report

Sen. DeMint

Washington, DC - U.S. Sens. Jim DeMint, David Vitter, James Inhofe, Tom Coburn, Sam Brownback, Richard Burr and Lisa Murkowski yesterday sent a letter to U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano requesting an explanation of the methodology used by the department to draft its recent controversial report outlining the threat of rightwing extremism for America’s law enforcement.

The report by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security cites a potential link between rightwing extremists and veterans returning from combat duty, Second Amendment advocates, small government activists and individuals who espouse certain conservative viewpoints.

“This document is absurd and offensive,” said Sen. DeMint. “It suggests that Secretary Napolitano believes our Navy SEALs could be an equal or greater threat than the pirates they took down. Does the President really agree that veterans and tea party soccer moms are terrorists-in-waiting?”
“Certainly, extremism of all varieties is a threat to the United States and her citizens throughout the world,” said Vitter. “But I don’t believe that this report contains any evidence that would justify singling out these particular groups of Americans as suspected terrorists. To suggest that returning soldiers or Second Amendment rights advocates are prone to joining extremist groups is insulting and highly inflammable – in addition to being a questionable focus for the Department of Homeland Security, especially when our southern border is still a source of major concern for a majority of Americans.”
“I was shocked to learn that this report classifies the brave men and women returning home from combat and operational deployments around the globe, who have been honorably defending our country, as potential terrorists,” Inhofe said. “As a Senior Member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, I am especially proud of our soldiers returning home and I find it extremely regretful that they have been subjected to such an insult by this report. Furthermore, I find it reprehensible that within this report Americans who hold certain beliefs regarding issues such as immigration, the Second Amendment, and abortion fall under the report’s broad generalization of rightwing extremists, and are therefore considered a potential threat. I believe this report to be very offensive to many Americans.”
“Under DHS’s bizarre guidelines many of our founders, were they alive today, would be classified as potential terrorist threats. This carelessly written and poorly reasoned report is offensive to not only our veterans, but to every American who is passionately committed to the ideals of limited government, life and liberty that made our country great,” said Coburn.
“This DHS report is insulting to American veterans and patently untrue,” said Brownback. “American military veterans deserve the respect of a grateful nation, not suspicion and slander. I join millions of Americans in thanking our nation’s veterans for all of their sacrifices.”
“Our nation’s veterans have bravely sacrificed themselves to ensure our security, and they deserve our honor and our respect,” said Burr. “To classify those who protect America from the dangers of terrorism as potential terrorists themselves is an insult.”

A copy of the letter is attached.

The Honorable Janet Napolitano
Secretary
The Department of Homeland Security
310 7th Street, S.W.
Washington, DC 20528-0150

VIA FACSIMILE

Dear Secretary Napolitano,

We write today regarding the release of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) report entitled “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment” and prepared by the Extremism and Radicalization Branch of the Homeland Environment Threat Analysis Division.

While we agree that extremists of all varieties represent a potential threat to the United States, we are troubled by some of the statements included as fact in the report titled above.

First, your report states that “rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to exploit their skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat.” Using the DHS rationale, do you also believe that weapons familiarity and tactical training means local, state, and federal law enforcement personnel, and members of the National Guard, are also being recruited? To suggest that a soldier returning from a combat tour is more prone to join an extremist group is unconscionable and insulting to our brave men and women who risk their lives protecting our freedom.

Second, the report states that the millions of Americans who believe in the Second Amendment are a potential threat to our national security. Why? Do you have statistics to prove that law-abiding Americans who purchase a legal product are being recruited by so-called hate groups? If so, please present us with DHS’s independent data.

Third, the report identifies those individuals who believe in such issues as pro-life legislation, limited government, and legal versus illegal immigration as potential terrorist threats. We can assure you that these beliefs are held by citizens of all races, party affiliations and sex, and should not be listed as a factor in determining potential terror threats. A better way to describe them is as citizens exercising their First Amendment rights.

Also, you listed those who bemoan the decline of U.S. stature and the loss of U.S. manufacturing capability to China and India as being potential rightwing extremists. We would suggest that the millions of Americans who have lost their jobs in the manufacturing industry to foreign countries are not potential terror threats, but rather, honest Americans worried about feeding their families and earning a paycheck. Once again, to classify Americans who have lost their jobs as potential terror threats does a disservice to millions of Americans.

In closing, we support the mission of DHS in protecting our country from terror attacks and are proud of the many DHS employees who make this possible, in conjunction with our state and local law enforcement. We ask that DHS not use this report as a basis to unfairly target millions of Americans because of their beliefs and the rights afforded to them in the Constitution, and that you provide us with the data that supports the claims listed in the report titled above.

Wild Thing's comment........

I appreciate that these 7 senators have sent a letter to Homeland Security, the letter itself was rather weak. It should have been longer, and conveyed more outrage. But I guess it was better than nothing.

My question is, Where are the REST of the senators on this issue? For the government to attack veterans and conservatives as possible enemies of the state is reprehensible! -- not to mention ridiculous -- and dangerous.

.

TEA Party's Being Watched

FBI spied on TEA Party Americans

Exclusive to the Northeast Intelligence Network & Canada Free Press

Douglas J. Hagmann, Director & Judi McLeod, Founding Editor, Canada Free Press

19 April 2009: Even as average Americans were planning to get out in towns and cities to demonstrate against Big Government and Big Taxes, Federal Bureau of Intelligence Investigation (FBI) surveillance was being unleashed upon them. In fact, unsuspecting Tax Day TEA Party participants were being closely watched during the demonstration planning stages in a covert operation that began on or about March 23, 2009.

If you one of the estimated 750,000 Americans who attended one of about 600 TEA parties last week, you might have seen media cameras covering the event. Media cameras, however, were not the only cameras taking video at these events, something that has at least one current FBI agent concerned over the future of America. According to this agent - the same agent who provided the Northeast Intelligence Network (NEIN) exclusively the unreleased photographs of the 11 missing Egyptian students who were the subject of a FBI BOLO in August 2006–placed his concerns for true patriots of the U.S. over his own career when he confided that covert surveillance was “planned and performed” at each of the TEA parties that took place last Tuesday.

“Listen to what I am saying,” stated the source during an interview with Doug Hagmann, founder (NEIN). “The Department of Homeland Security Intelligence Assessment that is receiving so much attention is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg, and the true patriotic citizens of this country are on the Titanic. This is what bothers me. But is goes far beyond that assessment. There have been very significant changes made over the last few years that redirect the focus and assets of the intelligence community internally. These changes have greatly accelerated under this administration, and the threats have been redefined to include those who used to be patriots. It’s not only chilling but absolutely insulting to God-fearing Americans.”

According to this unimpeachable source, a single-page confidential directive issued by the FBI headquarters in Washington, DC (FBIHQ) was sent to each of the 56 field offices located across the United States on or about March 23, 2009, instructing the Special Agents in Charge (SACs) of those offices to verify the date, time and location of each TEA Party within their region and supply that information to FBI headquarters in Washington. The source stated this correspondence termed the TEA parties “political demonstrations,” and added that the dissemination of the directive was very tightly controlled. “Not all agents were privy to this correspondence,” stated the source, who compared the dissemination to an older “Do Not File” classification.

In addition to obtaining or confirming the location and time of each “demonstration,” each field office was instructed to obtain or confirm the identity of the individual(s) involved in the actual planning and coordination of the event in each specific region, and include the local or regional Internet web site address, if any. The information collected by region was then reportedly sent to FBI Headquarters.

The source alleges that a second directive was issued on or about April 6, 2009 that reportedly instructed each SAC to coordinate and conduct, either at the field office level and/or with the appropriate resident agency, covert video surveillance and data collection of the participants of the TEA parties. Surveillance was to be performed from “discreet fixed or mobile positions” and was to be performed “independently and outside of the purview of local law enforcement.”

Although the level of detail collected from each operation is unclear, the information was reportedly submitted to Washington, where, “at the level of the National Security Branch (NSB), this information was to “include the office of the Directorate of Intelligence (DI), and integrated with a restricted access database, one that reportedly is accessible to only two agencies” [of the 14 agencies that comprise the U.S. intelligence community, according to the source.

“The implications to the citizens of the U.S. are ominous. It seems that there is a hostile political agenda coming from Washington that characterizes the supporters of our constitutional freedoms as threats to our domestic security, which is totally absurd. The redirection, the refocusing of domestic threats from al Qaeda cells to ‘flag waving right-wingers’ is something that has gone from a murmur a few years ago to a roar today.”

Training government-issued cameras on ordinary citizens, many of whom brought their children to an estimated 600 Tax Day TEA Parties is a page torn out of George Orwell’s 1984 and makes the term “God Bless America” more meaningful than ever.

Wild Thing's comment.........

In all the support the troops rallies I have participated in there have always been police there and possibly FBI as well. I always figured it was due to the Code Pinko's that would be there opposing us. The police mostly would stay with us on our side of the street or mingle with us and stare down the lefties to be behave or else.

In the political rallies that I have been a part of ...." holding signs " Soreloserman", when Bush ran against Gore and when Kerry ran against Bush those were huge rallies. Nicholals even lost his voice for a few days from yelling .." Freedom" as we drove along the bike and car route in line with everyone.

Everytime there are demonstrations/rallies, the FBI has surveillance no matter which side is rallying. This goes back years to the Vietnam War protests that we would see on TV or in the papers.

The Tea Parties that just went on had 1 million plus Americans in over 850 cities taking part.

I never minded the police or the FBI being there before, not until this administration. That is why when I first saw this article I said WOW, because we live in a different time now with a wanna be god dictator communist unconstitutional president. Not even during the Clinton years it never crossed my mind that this could be a bad thing or a problem. The reason has been because our side never caused trouble, never did damage to property etc. like the left does at their rallies.

Now it is a little different because of the DHS and Obama and not only that but also the way Obama ran his campaign and his thugs turning in people that had stickers on their cars they did not approve of etc.

They want to scare off people I think and it won't work. It is concerning I am not going to make it a small thing, but we are not the bad guys even if they think so.

"In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man and brave, hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds however, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a Patriot." Mark Twain

I will always stick with the ‘Defenders of Freedom’ (aka Vets) - ‘Right Wing Extremists’, who think the Constitution should be upheld.

Tea Party participants: 1.1 ~ 1.5 million
Tea Parties in over 850 cities across America
Tea Party arrests for unruly behaviour: 0
One unqualified president deeply ticked off he could not con the other half of America.

DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano STILL Attacking US Veterans

DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano stands by her offensive report attacking US veterans

Napolitano: Veterans are Targets of Right-Wing Extremist Recruiters

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/first100days/2009/04/19/napolitano-veterans-targets-right-wing-extremist-recruiters/

April 19,2009

WASHINGTON -- The head of homeland security said Sunday she regrets that some people took offense over a report warning that right-wing extremist groups were trying to recruit disgruntled troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

But Secretary Janet Napolitano added that "a number of groups far too numerous to mention" want to commit domestic terrorism attacks and are looking for new recruits.
She told a cable news network the warning report that went out to American law enforcement agencies was consistent with reports that were issued before.
"Here is the important point. The report is not saying that veterans are extremists. Far from it. What it is saying is returning veterans are targets of right-wing extremist groups that are trying to recruit those to commit violent acts within the country. We want to do all we can to prevent that," she said.

The intelligence assessment released to law enforcement on April 7 claims news of recession, the election of an African American president, rumors of new gun restrictions and the inability of veterans to reintegrate create fertile ground for radicalizing and recruiting right-wing extremists

Of particular interest among radicals is possible recruitment of returning troops with "combat skills and experience" so as to boost their "violent capabilities," the report said.

It added that new restrictions on gun ownership and the difficulty of veterans to reintegrate into their communities "could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks."

On Thursday, Napolitano apologized for some of the wording in the report, after civil liberties officials at the Homeland Security Department said the report was issued without a change in some of the language that had been subject for dispute.

"To the extent veterans read it as an accusation ... an apology is owed," Napolitano said during an on-air interview on FOX News Thursday. "This was an assessment, not an accusation."
But American Legion National Commander David Rehbein, who is to meet with Napolitano on Friday, told FOX News on Sunday the evidence suggests that troops are more likely to be first responders than extremists during an attack on the homeland. He added that he is less concerned about the apology than about the way the department reached its conclusions.
"I'm hoping we can talk about the methods the department used as they begin to continue their job of assuring hoped secured and they have a big job, an important job and we need to make sure they are really going about it in the right way, so they can be most effective," he said.
"Trying to monitor a group of several million veterans, is frankly going to cost them a lot of time and resources, they don't have, that they could better spend monitoring already identified groups," Rehbein said.
Napolitano said that in retrospect anything in the report could have been written differently, but "a fair reading of the report" would show that it is not trying to "give offense" but providing "situational awareness."

.

Wild Thing's comment.......

She is over the top again — she didn’t learn one lesson from her opening her mouth the other day.

The one thing she regrets is our lack of understanding? Is that supposed to be an apology? She takes her foot out of her mouth long enough to catch a breath and then shoves it back in again.

"The head of homeland security said Sunday she regrets that some people took offense over a report"

Typical politician non-apology. "I'm sorry you took offense at my comments." Not "I apologize for slandering every American veteran with a poorly thought out, poorly worded and overtly antagonistic report."

The man-hating Napolitano the more she talks the more she shows how horrible she is and how much she truly hates our Veterans and our military.

To this commie witch, the American Legion, VFW and NRA are extremist right wing groups.

Janet Napolitano (Janet Reno II) Stands by 'extremism' Report

Washington Times

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said she was briefed before the release of a controversial intelligence assessment and that she stands by the report sent to law enforcement that lists veterans as a terrorist risk to the U.S. and defines "rightwing extremism" as including groups opposed to abortion and immigration.

The outcry resulted in a demand from the head of the American Legion to meet with Ms. Napolitano, a request the DHS chief said she would honor next week when she returns to Washington from her current tour of the U.S.-Mexican border.

"The document on right-wing extremism sent last week by this department´s Office of Intelligence and Analysis is one in an ongoing series of assessments to provide situational awareness to state, local and tribal law enforcement agencies on the phenomenon and trends of violent radicalization in the United States," Ms. Napolitano said in a statement.
"Let me be very clear: we monitor the risks of violent extremism taking root here in the United States. We don´t have the luxury of focusing our efforts on one group; we must protect the country from terrorism whether foreign or homegrown, and regardless of the ideology that motivates its violence," Ms. Napolitano said.
We are on the lookout for criminal and terrorist activity but we do not – nor will we ever – monitor ideology or political beliefs. We take seriously our responsibility to protect the civil rights and liberties of the American people, including subjecting our activities to rigorous oversight from numerous internal and external sources.
I am aware of the letter from American Legion National Commander Rehbein, and my staff has already contacted him to set up a meeting next week once I return from travel. I will tell him face-to-face that we honor veterans at DHS and employ thousands across the department, up to and including the Deputy Secretary.
As the department responsible for protecting the homeland, DHS will continue to work with its state and local partners to prevent and protect against the potential threat to the United States associated with any rise in violent extremist activity.

Wild Thing's comment......

So why isn’t Bill Ayers in prison?? Oh, right, he’s a LEFT-wing extremist, and a CLOSE personal friend of Hussein Obama.

To the Obama admin, "terrorist risks" are those who:

A) put their lives on the line serving our country.

B) are members of groups opposed to the killing of babies.

C) are members of groups advocating the enforcement of immigration law.

White House Blocks TEA Party at Treasury

This is not the Treasury but the video is so well done. I wanted to show it to you. It is a Promo Video for the San Antonio Tea Party

Live now on Fox -- White House is blocking TEA Party set for the Treasury in DC,. despite the demonstration already having been granted a permit. Second TEA Party at Lafayette Park to proceed, but White House blocked the unloading of 1M tea bags.

This comes upon the DHS report warning that such demonstrations are "hate groups" that must be monitored closely as such demonstrators are "prone to owning guns and being violent."

Wild Thing's comment......

" despite the demonstration already having been granted a permit"

I'm sure the Founders of this country would have asked for a permit!

Also that property belongs to ALL of us.

They're getting worried. Good. Government is supposed to fear the people. Sadly, vise versa has been the case for too long. “The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first.” Thomas Jefferson

Confirmed: "The Obama DHS hit job on conservatives is real"

(U) Disgruntled Military Veterans
(U//FOUO) DHS/I&A assesses that rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to exploit their skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat. These skills and knowledge have the potential to boost the capabilities of extremists—including lone wolves or small terrorist cells—to carry out violence. The willingness of a small percentage of military personnel to join extremist groups during the 1990s because they were disgruntled, disillusioned, or suffering from the psychological effects of war is being replicated today.

.

by Michelle Malkin

Yesterday, Roger Hedgecock and the Liberty Papers posted an unclassified DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis report titled:

Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment.

The “report” (PDF file here) was one of the most embarrassingly shoddy pieces of propaganda I’d ever read out of DHS. I couldn’t believe it was real.

I spent the day chasing down DHS spokespeople, who have been tied up preparing for a very important homeland security event later today: The First Lady is coming to visit their Washington office. Priorities, you know.

Well, the press office got back to me and verified that the document is indeed for real.

They were very defensive — preemptively so — in asserting that it was not a politicized document and that DHS had done reports on “leftwing extremism” in the past. I have covered DHS for many years and am quite familiar with past assessments they and the FBI have done on animal rights terrorists and environmental terrorists. But those past reports have always been very specific in identifying the exact groups, causes, and targets of domestic terrorism, i.e., the ALF, ELF, and Stop Huntingdon wackos who have engaged in physical harassment, arson, vandalism, and worse against pharmaceutical companies, farms, labs, and university researchers.

By contrast, the piece of crap report issued on April 7 is a sweeping indictment of conservatives. And the intent is clear. As the two spokespeople I talked with on the phone today made clear: They both pinpointed the recent “economic downturn” and the “general state of the economy” for stoking “rightwing extremism.” One of the spokespeople said he was told that the report has been in the works for a year. My b.s. detector went off the chart, and yours will, too, if you read through the entire report — which asserts with no evidence that an unquantified “resurgence in rightwing extremist recruitment and radicalizations activity” is due to home foreclosures, job losses, and…the historical presidential election.

In Obama land, there are no coincidences. It is no coincidence that this report echoes Tea Party-bashing left-wing blogs (check this one out comparing the Tea Party movement to the Weather Underground!) and demonizes the very Americans who will be protesting in the thousands on Wednesday for the nationwide Tax Day Tea Party.

From the report, p.2:

Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.

From the report. p. 3:

(U//LES) Rightwing extremists are harnessing this historical election as a recruitment tool. Many rightwing extremists are antagonistic toward the new presidential administration and its perceived stance on a range of issues, including immigration and citizenship, the expansion of social programs to minorities, and restrictions on firearms ownership and use. Rightwing extremists are increasingly galvanized by these concerns and leverage them as drivers for recruitment. From the 2008 election timeframe to the present, rightwing extremists have capitalized on related racial and political prejudices in expanded propaganda campaigns, thereby reaching out to a wider audience of potential sympathizers.
U) Exploiting Economic Downturn

(U//FOUO) Rightwing extremist chatter on the Internet continues to focus on the economy, the perceived loss of U.S. jobs in the manufacturing and construction sectors, and home foreclosures. Anti-Semitic extremists attribute these losses to a deliberate conspiracy conducted by a cabal of Jewish “financial elites.” These “accusatory” tactics are employed to draw new recruits into rightwing extremist groups and further radicalize those already subscribing to extremist beliefs. DHS/I&A assesses this trend is likely to accelerate if the economy is perceived to worsen

From the report, p. 5:

(U//FOUO) Over the past five years, various rightwing extremists, including militias and white supremacists, have adopted the immigration issue as a call to action, rallying point, and recruiting tool. Debates over appropriate immigration levels and enforcement policy generally fall within the realm of protected political speech under the First Amendment, but in some cases, anti-immigration or strident pro-enforcement fervor has been directed against specific groups and has the potential to turn violent.

And echoing the anti-military bigotry last seen in that disgusting Penn State University training video, there’s this on p. 7:

(U) Disgruntled Military Veterans
(U//FOUO) DHS/I&A assesses that rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to exploit their skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat. These skills and knowledge have the potential to boost the capabilities of extremists—including lone wolves or small terrorist cells—to carry out violence. The willingness of a small percentage of military personnel to join extremist groups during the 1990s because they were disgruntled, disillusioned, or suffering from the psychological effects of war is being replicated today.

There’s no hackneyed left-wing stereotype of conservatives left behind in this DHS intelligence and analysis assessment. I asked both DHS spokespeople to tell me who, specifically, the report was accusing of “rightwing extremist chatter” and which “antigovernment” groups are being monitored as “extremists.” They say they’ll get back to me.

In the meantime, be aware of this from the report, p. 8:

(U//FOUO) DHS/I&A will be working with its state and local partners over the next several months to ascertain with greater regional specificity the rise in rightwing extremist activity in the United States, with a particular emphasis on the political, economic, and social factors that drive rightwing extremist radicalization.

.

Wild Thing's comment........

The really insidious aspect of this very dangerous development comes from several angles. It is very inflammatory, likely to provoke precisely the behavior it claims to spotlight. The devil himself could not have designed a more potent social explosive.

It also shows how DHS has fallen completely to the Social Workers, and there was good reason to fear this must one day happen back at the creation of this Frankenstein - knowing full well it would inevitable fall into the hands of the Socialist mob.

They clearly fear the "We the People" more than Islam.

This is a clear and present danger to the safety of the Republic. The enemy is no longer at the gates, or within, the enemy is in charge.

Federal Agency Warns of Radicals On RIGHT

9 Page report sent to police

The Washington Times

The Department of Homeland Security is warning law enforcement officials about a rise in "rightwing extremist activity," saying the economic recession, the election of America's first black president and the return of a few disgruntled war veterans could swell the ranks of white-power militias.

A footnote attached to the report by the Homeland Security Office of Intelligence and Analysis defines "rightwing extremism in the United States" as including not just racist or hate groups, but also groups that reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority.

"It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single-issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration," the warning says.
The White House has distanced itself from the analysis. When asked for comment on its contents, White House spokesman Nick Shapiro said, "The President is focused not on politics but rather taking the steps necessary to protect all Americans from the threat of violence and terrorism regardless of its origins. He also believes those who serve represent the best of this country, and he will continue to ensure that our veterans receive the respect and benefits they have earned."
It says the federal government "will be working with its state and local partners over the next several months" to gather information on "rightwing extremist activity in the United States."

Homeland Security spokeswoman Sara Kuban said the report is one in an ongoing series of assessments by the department to "facilitate a greater understanding of the phenomenon of violent radicalization in the U.S."

The report says extremist groups have used President Obama as a recruiting tool.

Congressional debates about immigration and gun control also make extremist groups suspicious and give them a rallying cry, the report says.

"It is unclear if either bill will be passed into law; nonetheless, a correlation may exist between the potential passage of gun control legislation and increased hoarding of ammunition, weapons stockpiling, and paramilitary training activities among rightwing extremists," the report said.
The FBI was quoted Monday as saying that, since November, more than 7 million people have applied for criminal background checks in order to buy weapons.

The report could signify a change in emphasis for Homeland Security under former Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano. A German magazine quoted Ms. Napolitano as rebranding "terrorism" as "man-made disasters."

This is a THREE page article and has a lot of information. PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR THE REST OF THE ARTICLE.

Wild Thing's comment......

I don't think even our worst fears went this far.

Welcome to Obama's America the land where jihadists roam free and citizens are targeted.

Everyday obama either violates the United states with his hatred and revenge speeches, writes a executive orders to further his marxist agenda, starts new discussion commission to control citizens and take wealth for reparations.

Now just like in his campaign last year, obama is using a government office against the people and freedom of speech. Remember the Missouri prosecutors said they will threaten and prosecute anyone who says anything about Barack Obama and he does not approve.

Obama is finding every power he can use against us. If he loses control now he cannot push through every last bit of his plan through media and congressional fraud.

"The FBI was quoted Monday as saying that, since November, more than 7 million people have applied for criminal background checks in order to buy weapons."

This IMO speaks volumes as to how so many in our country can see how Obama is destroying it and we might not be able to protect ourselvs from terrorists etc.

As I was working on this post I was listening to talk radio and a man named Grover Norquist (President-Americans for Tax Reform) on the show.

Grover Norquist website

http://www.atr.org/

He was asked by Bill Bennett about this document from DHS. He said yes it is for real and he is completely outraged by it. He also said that what has been happening is that Obama's people ( his voters) during the campaign and even since he has been elected have been calling the police on things they hear and see just as Obama had them doing in MO. and PA during the campaign. A bumper sticker they don't like or it could be anything. Harmless things that would go unnoticed they have been reporting to the police. How often or how much he did not know. He ended with by saying " this is very scary and everyone should be alarmed". Bennett asked him, you really think it is scary? And Glover said Yes I do!"

( Bill Bennett is somewhere between a rino, head in the sand, non passionate ex-Democrat and now Republican that has a radio talk show. He just happens to be on a radio channel that comes in very clear where I live otherwise I would be throwing couch pillows at him for being such a lame, horrible, boring rino that he is LOL )

I am mentioning about what I was listening to as little by little people are finding out about this and all are reacting the same way.

Targeting Patriots and Citizens on The Right

Department of Homeland Security releases report on "Rightwing Extremism

Homeland Security Document created last week talking about "Rightwing Extremists" and their alleged threat.

From what I read, anyone who admires and seeks to have the constitution respected and abided by is the enemy.

Here is a copy of it,.......

From Dept. of Homeland Security PDF file

(U) Key Findings (U//LES) The DHS/Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) has no specific information that domestic rightwing* terrorists are currently planning acts of violence, but rightwing extremists may be gaining new recruits by playing on their fears about several emergent issues. The economic downturn and the election of the first African American president present unique drivers for rightwing radicalization and recruitment.
— (U//LES) Threats from white supremacist and violent antigovernment groups during 2009 have been largely rhetorical and have not indicated plans to carry out violent acts. Nevertheless, the consequences of a prolonged economic downturn—including real estate foreclosures, unemployment, and an inability to obtain credit—could create a fertile recruiting environment for rightwing extremists and even result in confrontations between such groups and government authorities similar to those in the past.
(U//FOUO) The current economic and political climate has some similarities to the 1990s when rightwing extremism experienced a resurgence fueled largely by an economic recession, criticism about the outsourcing of jobs, and the perceived threat to U.S. power and sovereignty by other foreign powers.

American sovereignty is a radical position now?

— (U//FOUO) During the 1990s, these issues contributed to the growth in the number of domestic rightwing terrorist and extremist groups and an increase in violent acts targeting government facilities, law enforcement officers, banks, and infrastructure sectors.

— (U//FOUO) Growth of these groups subsided in reaction to increased government scrutiny as a result of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing and disrupted plots, improvements in the economy, and the continued U.S. standing as the preeminent world power.

Pulling that 15 year old canard out of their ass (and neglect to point out McVeigh's Middle Eastern connections. [Tom has more on the al qaeda connection too]. Their evidence is one terror attack 15 years ago -- but failed to mention the 13,000 Islamic attacks since 9/11. Got that?

(U//FOUO) The possible passage of new restrictions on firearms and the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks.

Taking guns away

— (U//FOUO) Proposed imposition of firearms restrictions and weapons bans likely would attract new members into the ranks of rightwing extremist groups, as well as potentially spur some of them to begin planning and training for violence against the government. The high volume of purchases and stockpiling of weapons and ammunition by rightwing extremists in anticipation of restrictions and bans in some parts of the country continue to be a primary concern to law enforcement. —

Fake staging to seize weapons.

(U//FOUO) Returning veterans possess combat skills and experience that are attractive to rightwing extremists. DHS/I&A is concerned that rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to boost their violent capabilities.
U) Current Economic and Political Climate
(U//FOUO) DHS/I&A assesses that a number of economic and political factors are driving a resurgence in rightwing extremist recruitment and radicalization activity. Despite similarities to the climate of the 1990s, the threat posed by lone wolves and small terrorist cells is more pronounced than in past years. In addition, the historical election of an African American president and the prospect of policy changes are proving to be a driving force for rightwing extremist recruitment and radicalization. —

The race card

(U) A recent example of the potential violence associated with a rise in rightwing extremism may be found in the shooting deaths of three police officers in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on 4 April 2009. The alleged gunman’s reaction reportedly was influenced by his racist ideology and belief in antigovernment conspiracy theories related to gun confiscations, citizen detention camps, and a Jewish-controlled “one world government.”

They could care less about the Jews

U) Exploiting Economic Downturn

(U//FOUO) Rightwing extremist chatter on the Internet continues to focus on the economy, the perceived loss of U.S. jobs in the manufacturing and construction sectors, and home foreclosures. Anti-Semitic extremists attribute these losses to a deliberate conspiracy conducted by a cabal of Jewish “financial elites.” These “accusatory” tactics are employed to draw new recruits into rightwing extremist groups and further radicalize those already subscribing to extremist beliefs. DHS/I&A assesses this trend is likely to accelerate if the economy is perceived to worsen.

They are using the Jews. Most if not all of the recent spate of anti-semitic attacks here and abroad were committed by Muslims. FACT.

(U//FOUO) Perceptions on Poverty and Radicalization
(U//FOUO) Scholars and experts disagree over poverty’s role in motivating violent radicalization or terrorist activity. High unemployment, however, has the potential to lead to alienation, thus increasing an individual’s susceptibility to extremist ideas. According to a 2007 study from the German Institute for Economic Research, there appears to be a strong association between a parent’s unemployment status and the formation of rightwing extremist beliefs in their children—specifically xenophobia and antidemocratic ideals. ownership and use. —

He Hates The Military

(U//FOUO) Unlike the earlier period, the advent of the Internet and other informationage technologies since the 1990s has given domestic extremists greater access to information related to bomb-making, weapons training, and tactics, as well as targeting of individuals, organizations, and facilities, potentially making extremist individuals and groups more dangerous and the consequences of their violence more severe. New technologies also permit domestic extremists to send and receive encrypted communications and to network with other extremists throughout the country and abroad, making it much more difficult for law enforcement to deter, prevent, or preempt a violent extremist attack.
(U//FOUO) A number of law enforcement actions and external factors were effective in limiting the militia movement during the 1990s and could be utilized in today’s climate. —
(U//FOUO) Following the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah federal building in Oklahoma City, the militia movement declined in total membership and in the number of organized groups because many members distanced themselves from the movement as a result of the intense scrutiny militias received after the bombing. —

****
Please go to Atlas Shrugs blog for the complete list and her take on each one, she did an excellent job on this.

.

Wild Thing's comment.......

This is how it starts. Just like the Clinton/Reno years.

Identify and isolate conservatives as “militia”, racists and religious fundamentalists. Label them as “terrorists” and focus on them as the threat to national security, not foreigners. Use it as an excuse to ban guns.

Why even use the term Rightwing?

Extremist groups are extremist groups, period. Is there a document that analyzes the threat from leftwing extremists?

Here is the definition on the HSA bulletin of what Rightwing Extremism is:

"Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration."

What the heck does rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority mean? So basically if we adhere to the Constitution and the 10th amendment, we're rightwing extremists??

“rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority”

Someone might want to point out to the geniuses at Dept. of Homeland Security that our founding fathers believed this to be the dominant feature of America's government. If they were alive today they would once again find themselves labeled terrorists, truly amazing.

(U//LES) The DHS/Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) has no specific information that domestic rightwing* terrorists are currently planning acts of violence, but rightwing extremists may be gaining new recruits by playing on their fears about several emergent issues. The economic downturn and the election of the first African American president present unique drivers for rightwing radicalization and recruitment.

So we have eliminated calling terrorists--terrorists and we now call right wing people "terrorists." Al Qaeda and violent left wing terrorists are not a threat to the democrat party regime. The right wing is their only true enemy, the only thing that can hinder their grasp on power. When they have ACORN and the elections pretty much corrupted up, the House and the Senate—what possible threat could the rightwing have? I really really am sick of this crap coming from the left.

OMG look at this part of it:

“— (U//FOUO) Proposed imposition of firearms restrictions and weapons bans likely would attract new members into the ranks of rightwing extremist groups, as well as potentially spur some of them to begin planning and training for violence against the government. The high volume of purchases and stockpiling of weapons and ammunition by rightwing extremists in anticipation of restrictions and bans in some parts of the country continue to be a primary concern to law enforcement.
— (U//FOUO) Returning veterans possess combat skills and experience that are attractive to rightwing extremists. DHS/I&A is concerned that rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to boost their violent capabilities.

On Roger Hedgecocks talk show this last Friday broke this story. I didn't hear it but I heard about it.

WASHINGTON

A newly unclassified Department of Homeland Security report warns against the possibility of violence by unnamed "right-wing extremists" concerned about illegal immigration, increasing federal power, restrictions on firearms, abortion and the loss of U.S. sovereignty and singles out returning war veterans as particular threats.

The report, titled "Right-wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment," dated April 7, states that "threats from white supremacist and violent anti-government groups during 2009 have been largely rhetorical and have not indicated plans to carry out violent acts."

However, the report goes on to suggest worsening economic woes, potential new legislative restrictions on firearms and "the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks."

The report from DHS' Office of Intelligence and Analysis defines right-wing extremism in the U.S. as "divided into those groups, movements and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups) and those that are mainly anti-government, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration."
"The consequences of a prolonged economic downturn – including real estate foreclosures, unemployment and an inability to obtain credit – could create a fertile recruiting environment for right-wing extremists and even result in confrontations between such groups and government authorities similar to those in the past," the report says.
It adds that "growth in these groups subsided in reaction to increased government scrutiny as a result of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing and disrupted plots, improvements in the economy and the continued U.S. standing as the pre-eminent world power."
"Proposed imposition of firearms restrictions and weapons bans likely would attract new members into the ranks of right-wing extremist groups as well as potentially spur some of them to begin planning and training for violence against the government," the report continues. "The high volume of purchases and stockpiling of weapons and ammunition by right-wing extremists in anticipation of restrictions and bans in some parts of the country continue to be a primary concern to law enforcement."

Most notable is the report's focus on the impact of returning war veterans.

"Returning veterans possess combat skills and experience that are attractive to right-wing extremists," it says. "DHS/I&A is concerned that right-wing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize veterans in order to boost their violent capacities."

The report cites the April 4 shooting deaths of three police officers in Pittsburgh as an example of what may be coming, claiming the alleged gunman holds a racist ideology and believes in anti-government conspiracy theories about gun confiscations, citizen detention camps and "a Jewish-controlled 'one-world government.'"

It also suggests the election of an African-American president and the prospect of his policy changes "are proving to be a driving force for right-wing extremist recruitment and radicalization."
The report also mentions "'end times' prophecies could motivate extremist individuals and groups to stockpile food, ammunition and weapons. These teachings also have been linked with the radicalization of domestic extremist individuals and groups in the past, such as the violent Christian Identity organizations and extremist members of the militia movement."
"DHS/I&A assesses that right-wing extremist groups' frustration over a perceived lack of government action on illegal immigration has the potential to incite individuals or small groups toward violence," the report continues.
The report states the DHS will be working with state and local partners over the next several months to determine the levels of right-wing extremist activity in the U.S.

The report warned law enforcement agencies to watch for suspicious individuals who may have bumper stickers for third-party political candidates such as Ron Paul, Bob Barr and Chuck Baldwin.

It further warned law enforcement to watch out for individuals with "radical" ideologies based on Christian views, such as opposing illegal immigration, abortion and federal taxes.

Chief James Keathley of the Missouri State Patrol issued a statement that the release of the report, which outraged conservatives nationwide, prompted him to "take a hard look" at the procedures through which the report was released by the MIAC.

"My review of the procedures used by the MIAC in the three years since its inception indicates that the mechanism in place for oversight of reports needs improvement," he wrote. "Until two weeks ago, the process for release of reports from the MIAC to law enforcement officers around the state required no review by leaders of the Missouri State Highway Patrol or the Department of Public Safety."

"For that reason, I have ordered the MIAC to permanently cease distribution of the militia report," he said. "Further, I am creating a new process for oversight of reports drafted by the MIAC that will require leaders of the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Department of Public Safety to review the content of these reports before they are shared with law enforcement. My office will also undertake a review of the origin of the report by MIAC."

Wild Thing's comment.......

They should go after the ONE then for holding a govt position who acquired it through fraud and whom is not legally eligible to hold said office. That is a treasonous offense.

Of course, the Department of Homeland Security would be used by a Democrat president to pursue his Domestic enemies, and this crap the left gave us about Bush being Hitler because of wiretaps? Our government is afraid of us, but wants law enforcement to know that anyone holding a Conservative opinion is someone that should be dealt with harshly.

Things are getting awfully strange in our nation, right now.

More on this at other post I did for today titled:

Targeting Patriots and Citizens on The Right

( report from Homeland Security. It's a MIAC style report which places heavy emphasis on people who disagree with this despotic govt. we have. From what I read, anyone who admires and seeks to have the constitution respected and abided by is the enemy.)
