Sen. Joe Biden, piling on to Democratic complaints about President Bush’s speech in Israel today:

“This is bullshit, this is malarkey. This is outrageous, for the president of the United States to go to a foreign country, to sit in the Knesset . . . and make this kind of ridiculous statement.”
Speaking before the Knesset, Bush said that “some people” believe the United States “should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along."
"We have heard this foolish delusion before," Bush said. "As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: 'Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided.' We have an obligation to call this what it is—the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history."

Democrats have interpreted the comments as an attack on Sen. Barack Obama, and Biden, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said that the president was out of line.

“He is the guy who has weakened us,” he said. “He has increased the number of terrorists in the world. It is his policies that have produced this vulnerability that the U.S. has. It’s his [own] intelligence community [that] has pointed this out, not me.”

Biden noted that Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice have both suggested that the United States ought to find a way to talk more with its enemies.

"If he thinks this is appeasement, is he going to come back and fire his own cabinet?” Biden asked. “Is he going to fire Condi Rice?”

In a separate statement, Sen. John Kerry said that Bush "is still playing the disgusting and dangerous political game Karl Rove perfected, which is insulting to every American and disrespectful to our ally Israel. George Bush should be making Israel secure, not slandering Barack Obama from the Knesset."

The White House insists that Bush wasn’t referring specifically to Obama, an argument that Senate Majority Whip Richard J. Durbin (D-Ill.) called "baloney."
"There is no escaping what the president is doing," said Durbin, who supports Obama. "It is an attack on Sen. Obama’s position that we should not be avoiding even those we disagree with when it comes to negotiations and diplomacy."
Durbin called Bush's remarks "unfair and really unfortunate."

First of all Bush did NOTHING wrong, this is all BS from the traitors in our country the LEFT. Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and his apology tours when he was President THEY were the ones that should be punished for their treason.

What a bunch of jerks! To think that the President is so bold as to do something like this--leveling his grudges against Obama this way.
The President was making a point, Biden. I've heard you do the same thing. So why is it okay for you and not for anyone else? How are you dummycraps so above everyone else that your poo don't stink?
Give me a break. The UN kept us out of WW2 until the Japs bombed Pearl. Then we got real and intouch with what was going on and did something about it.
We let it happen again on 9-11 and everyone was for hunting down and taking care of the terrorists, including dummycraps. Now it's like "Oh we never did this or that." The Hell you didn't! So give the President a break. I wish he had the power to fire senators and congressmen for this kind of behavior. I'd love to see Bush tell people like Biden, Peeloser, Heartless Harry, Scary Kerry and the like that they're "FIRED!!!" with no severance pay. Yeah, cool. I'd like that.

Sounds like Bush finally hit one out of the park. Too bad he didn't respond to his critics like this 6 years ago.

Biden and his ilk think their critism only goes as far as the Senate floor. Doesn't he know Yobama has been endorsed by Hamas ?

Biden isn't prone to use such big words, maybe now he can learn how to put together sentences too. I guess these democrats wouldn't appreciate the humor of the T-shirt with a picture of Curious George and 'Obama in 08' on it.

Les, your right Obama is way too thin-skinned for politics especially. He is alwayss looking for something to do the poor me thing over just like his wife.

Chrissie, I often disagree with our beloved Jorge, but he is spot on, I'm reminded of another American president who stood up for the nation and it's allies. Biden will never rise on any occasion to protect and to serve anyone but himself.

What Bush said has everything to do with Israel's security. Israel knows what trying to appease terrorists will do to them under an Obama presidency.

Glad to see Bush come back to the right side in his speech. The last I heard of the Israeli issue he and Rice were pushing for Palestinian statehood before January.

Biden is a phony, from his hair plugs to his plagerism. He is just one of the many examples of why term limits are needed.
