Gov.Sarah Palin and Our National Security

Alaska is the first line of defense in our missile interceptor defense system. The 49th Missile Defense Battalion of the Alaska National Guard is the unit that protects the entire nation from ballistic missile attacks. It’s on permanent active duty, unlike other Guard units.
As governor of Alaska, Palin is briefed on highly classified military issues, homeland security, and counterterrorism. Her exposure to classified material may rival even Biden's.
She's also the commander in chief of the Alaska State Defense Force (ASDF), a federally recognized militia incorporated into Homeland Security's counterterrorism plans.
Palin is privy to military and intelligence secrets that are vital to the entire country's defense. Given Alaska's proximity to Russia, she may have security clearances we don't even know about.
According to the Washington Post, she first met with McCain in February, but nobody ever found out. This is a woman used to keeping secrets.
She can be entrusted with our national security, because she already is.

U.S. Northern Command brought the 100th Missile Defense Brigade (Ground-Based Midcourse Defense) to

in test mode, the brigade, headquartered at Colorado Springs, Colorado, and its 49th Missile Defense Battalion
(Ground-Based Missile Defense) at Fort Greely, Alaska, remained at high alert status for the duration of the crisis.

Wild Thing's comment........

I knew that as governor she was commander in chief of the Alaska National Guard, but didn't realize some of the other things as commander in chief and the role of the 49th Missile Defense Battalion. Thanks for posting this and Mark, thanks for sending it.

Obama and Biden have zero military experience or knowledge between them. Biden was a Vietnam draft dodger and the military does not use community organizers. These two anti military types would have to be instructed on every aspect of the military because of their lack of knowledge. Obama has already promised that if elected he would cut our military drastically.

They laughed at her foreign policy experience, and that she was in charge of the Alaska National Guard. Well here is what's involved. Quite a lot of responsibility.

She has quite a bit of experience which the press has failed, again, to mention. She probably has the security clearances required since she is in charge of the 49th, and homeland security,...Not too many people aware of this. When push comes to shove she's is more qualified than o'boden-bima
er... biden-bama.

Sarah Palin governs a state that borders Russia, it's nearest border is the Diomede Islands. The islands are separated by an international border and the International Date Line which is approximately 1 km (0.6 mi) from each island. At the closest distance between Little Diomede and Big Diomede, the two islands are only about 4 km (2.4 mi) apart. In winter it is possible to walk across the frozen Bering Strait border between these two islands. At its closest, the American mainland and the Russian mainland are 55 miles apart where Alaska's Seward Peninsula and Russia's Chukotka Peninsula reach out to each other.. the DEW line falls directly inside the very borders of the state, and as such provides border security coverage for our neighbor in Canada as well.
Sarah commands the Alaska National Guard that is involved all around the world. It has Elmendorf AFB, Ft. Greeley Missile Base, Eilson AFB, Fort Richardson Army Base and Fort Wainwright Army Base on hand as a first response. With Alaska oil being a vital national defense item Sarah has to protect the resources and the oilfields, not only for the State of Alaska but for the entire nation.

Hardly a month goes by that Alaskan airspace isn't invaded by Russian aircraft, having lived there I have witnessed Russian aircraft over and on Alaskan soil. Also the Japanese attacks of WWII still weigh heavy on the residents minds. Alaska is vulnerable but they are also the first responder in the defense of our border, not Quebec. Sarah Palin can guard my six any day of the week.

Vote McCain not Hussein!!!

And Saint Baracky Obammymessiah can't even come close to getting a clearance of any kind. When one of your best buds is an avowed traitor and terrorist, it only seems prudent to not give the scumbag ony kind of clearance. Not even to set up the senate barbeque.
