Senate Receives 200K Letters Regarding Hate Bill Section S. 909

'Pedophile Protection Act' stirs 200K letters to Senate

Congressman: 'Hate crimes' would 'break' Constitution

wnd

The "hate crimes" plan pending in the Senate that has been dubbed the "Pedophile Protection Act" would "break" the U.S. Constitution if adopted and enforced, according to an Arizona congressman. And citizens are expressing their concern by dispatching hundreds of thousands of letters to senators.

U.S. Rep. Trent Franks, R-Ariz., was interviewed today on WND columnist Janet Porter's radio program for the Faith2Action Christian ministry.

"They have to necessarily break the Constitution for this bill to have any effect," Franks said.
An analysis by Shawn D. Akers, policy analyst with Liberty Counsel, said the proposal, formally known as H.R. 1913, the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act bill in the House and S. 909 in the Senate, would create new federal penalties against those whose "victims" were chosen based on an "actual or perceived… sexual orientation, gender identity."

Americans, meanwhile, are bombarding members of the Senate with their opposition to the "Pedophile Protection Act."

Porter organized the effort to utilize reduced rates for individual letters delivered by Fed Ex to individual senators in bulk quantities. Overnight letters not only have more impact, but can be assured of delivery in time to impact pending legislation.

More than 2,000 people have utilized the procedures and more than 200,000 letters have been dispatched to members of the Senate.

In part, the letter says:

"I am writing to urge you to do all in your power to oppose passage of S.909, also known as 'The Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act.'
"Passage of this bill by the U.S. Senate would be reckless and irresponsible not only because of the 'chilling effect' it would have on First Amendment-guaranteed rights to free speech, but also because it would provide, for the first time ever, special legal protections for pedophiles and other sexual offenders.
"If there was ever a time for the Senate to stand and fight with a filibuster, that time is now. We are calling for members of the Senate, Republicans and Democrats alike, to stop S. 909.

S. 909 Pedophile Protection Act

Democrats Ensure Hate Crimes Bill Includes Protecting Pedophiles

American Daily Review

As expected with the creeping incrementalism of the degradation of morality in America, under this sinister bill that accompanies H.R. 1913 (Hate Crimes Bill), S. 909 will give heightened protection to pedophiles.

Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa said: "As the bill stands, if it passes for law, if you catch an adult in the act of raping a child, and use force to remove that person from the child, the pedophile can turn around and accuse you of assault, and claim it was a hate crime."

Wild Thing's comment........

The Democrats were caught red-handed trying to pass special rights legislation for pedophiles. Of course the liberal media is not reporting about it, but we can still get the word out.

All of this and everything Obama and the democrats have been doing really is beyond the pale and insane. They have no integrity or conscience as to right and wrong at all. And not to want to protect innocent children is sickening.

It infringes on the 1st amendment! What then are we suppose to call pedophiles, rapists, murderers, tax cheats, spouse and child abusers? late for supper? Come on. Washington needs to get serious and look at the serious things going on in this nation like the homeless and hungry, not whether we call each other names or not. If I call Tim Geithner a tax cheat, are they going to come and take me away? He is a tax cheat. Now, having said that, I do agree that some people take it way too far and target certain people and that should be viewed in a different context. You should go to prison for violating certain rights. But those laws were already on the books. This is just another way for the government to intrude on your life. I would love to go back and sue every person who ever called me the B word, the C word, the W word, etc. But I'm not that type of person. I've called them names too!

Hate crimes Legislation is nothing but feel goodism for the democrats. Now they can say how much they care. They are telling minorities that they can't call you a 'Wet-back' and get away with it anymore. When Blacks use the N-Word will they be charged with a hate crime.

What I think they are trying to do is to stifle dissent. You can have your opinion but you have no right to speak your mind.

When the two Texas men dragged the black guy behind the pickup and killed him. Bush caught hell from the left because there was no 'hate' crime Law. It didn't matter to the left that these two 'perps' got the death penalty, oh no, Texas dosen't have a Hate crime law. Therefore, it can happen again.

To the left anybody who commits a dastardly crime like killing a gay it has to do with hate. This runs parallel with their circular logic that if they make it a crime to call someone a 'Queer', then they won't do it for fear of going to jail for the 'hate crime'.This comes back to the feel goodism. When all is said and done nothing is accomplished.

This is definitely another assault on the 1st Amendment.

The Dems must be covering for some of their own, like Barney Fwank. The Dems support any group that is anti traditional American values. And yet they always claim it is for the children.

Lynn, you point out something important,
what the heck do we call them if we cannot
call them what they are. A rapist has no
other name that I know of, what are they
going to do if they finish putting this
horrible bill through, write a new liberal
dictionary or something. This is a mess and
is totally insane. They really cannot love
children or respect victims rights at all
by doing this.

Your right too, it sure is about the 1st
Amendment.

Mark, great point!!!

"When Blacks use the N-Word will they be charged with a hate crime."

Thanks for mentioning that incident, good
example. You are right it is all about their
feel goodism.
