Texas Rangers Routed Detroit 15-5 Saturday Night to Win the ALCS

Also President George W. Bush was seated in the front row alongside Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan, part of the ownership group that took over the team last year.

Wild Thing's comment........

Good game and I am so glad the Texas Rangers won and now will be in the World Series.

Since my regular favorite teams ( Dodgers or Cubs ) are not in it, it is fun to pick my favorite team to cheer on and I pick the Texas Rangers.

There was a great clip, during the game, of a conversation between the home plate umpire and President Bush.

The umpire said that the President was going to get him in trouble, with his wife, because he, the umpire, did'nt think that the President was there.

President asked where she was and turned in that direction, then told the ump to give her his love.

President was so gracious and showed once again that he really is, a Man of the People.

They also showed another clip of him talking to the Detroit Manager, in a very casual and relaxed way.

God, I miss him!

I am not much of a baseball fan, but I did watch the game last night. The Rangers are a home team for me. There have been many news interviews the past few weeks with manager Ron Washington. He is a class act, composed and decent. The Detroit manager is another class act. I hope major league baseball is over the enhanced performance drug scene that plagued them recently. If so, I may return to watching games.
