These Wisconsin Teachers Should Be Fired! Teachers USE Their Students in Protest

FOX Nation

At The John K. MacIver Institute for Public Policy: llegally striking teachers from Madison East High School students dragged hundreds of students to their union protests at the Wisconsin Capitol yesterday. “But they knew they were just happy to be out of class. Many of the hundreds of Madison East High School students didn’t know why their teachers brought them to the union protests at the Wisconsin Capitol Tuesday.

But they knew they were just happy to be out of class.

Milwaukee Public Schools Orders Teachers Not to Skip School for Rallies (Protests in Wisconsin)

Milwaukee Public Schools on Tuesday sent a district-wide email that ordered teachers and other employees not to skip school to attend rallies protesting Governor Walker's controversial budget bill.

"For the remainder of this week, monitor and record requests for absence, date and time received, notice of request and reason," the email read. "Any staff member who is absent without prior approval is to be coded AWOL (Code 91). Principals are not to approve absence for personal reasons (code 23 or code 69) during the next three days."

32 Rufus King High School teachers called in sick Tuesday morning as thousands of public workers rallied in Madison and in smaller events across Wisconsin against Walker's proposal to eliminate most collective bargaining rights for most state employees. A source told Newsradio 620 WTMJ that the school was caught so shorthanded by the absences that it had to use support staff such as security guards as substitute teachers.

"Those teachers all gave different reasons for why they would be out," said MPS spokesperson Roseann St. Aubin. "So we can't say that this was in any way a planned event, but we know what is going on over in Madison and we chose to act preemptively to prevent any coordinated actions by people who might be affected by this bill and are emotional."

"But our function is to educate our children, and to do that we need to have our teachers in their classrooms."

St. Aubin declined to elaborate on the type of punishment teachers who called in sick this week would face, saying that the district would handle any personnel matters on a case-by-case basis and hand out an appropriate punishment.

Wild Thing's comment........

This is about a conservative governor trying to break the powerful public employee unions including SEIU, NEA and AFSME.

This is precisely why it should not be lawful for public employees to unionize. Throw the garbage out and start all over again .

FIRE THEM IMMEDIATELY!

Here in Bidenville we refer to AFSME as AF$CAM Wild Thing! That's why over 50% of inner city public schools have HS drop outs and American children that can't read nor write while their TEACHERS have the summers off and lengthy Christmas and Easter vacations and two-hour delays for fog and ice and snow?

We paid for parochial education and our son is now attending a top-notch Protestant seminary for his Divinity masters degree. (Oxymoron?) We got what we PAID for - a quality education.

One of these days, these teachers will realize they can be easily replaced by "uneducated" teachers. By uneducated, I mean those without college degrees. You take the overwhelming majority of homeschoolers and private Christian Schools and you'll find the moms and teachers don't have a college degree. But, their students are testing at least two grade levels higher than their public school contemporaries with their college educated teachers and multi-million dollar budgets. Many universities are actively recruiting home schooled students because of their superior study habits and self discipline.

I hate unions. It is amazing how a basically decent person can be turned into a member of a frenzied mob on union orders. These Wisconsin teachers should be fire. Using the students to protest is criminal.

Darth, good one, good name for AFSME.

Bob, well said, thanks. Very interesting and thanks for pointing that out.

Tom, I agree so much.
