Searching and Information

New Web

Religion always causes a stir when it is debated, and Google seems to know it. Google is not taking a fair approach to the way that it handles searches for different religions.

When you search for the major religions of the world, the monotheistic faiths for example, Google serves up suggestions for the search “Christianity is” such as, “a lie,” or false.” Try it on a a number of faiths, and then Islam.

Notice any difference?

Google is systematically blocking, it seems, all search suggestions for Islam. Why? To remove the chance of an adherent of the faith from being offended by a perhaps severe search suggestion? Why not treat all search terms equally?

Given the complete lack of suggestions, not just terms that could be perceived as negative, it seems that Google is covering its, well, behind.

Wild Thing's comment.....

Interesting, I also tried typing in Muslim is to see what I would get.

I noticed awhile back when I was searching for something on GW Bush that the search was heavy on negative like page after page of lies instead of just answering my search for what I was looking for.

......Thank you RAC for sending this to me.

RAC has a website that is awesome. 336th Assault Helicopter Company

Speaking of islam how many fellow Texans here find it particularly offensive that this muzzie farouk SHAMi could win the Governorship of Texas?

I normally wouldn't be concerned but seeing how hussein was elected and a raging dyke was elected as mayor for Houston. It concerns me.

This from the same people who brought you Darwin. Even Darwin wasn't sure of his theory, but today the progressives are trying to convince everyone that 'god' doesn't exist. This all happened with the big bang theory. Darwin never found any conclusive proof that HIS theory wasn't Bullshit or just the workings of a deranged mind.

In order for their agenda to move forward god can not exist only the State. On this premise then there are no absolutes and anything they write can be law with no accountability except to the state. With that done, personal Liberty, freedom, the pursuit of happiness is now defined by the State NOT by the individual, as is the case in our Declaration of Independence and Constitution. The two biggest impediments to Liberalism/Communism . This is why, they work in secrecy and behind closed so the American People don't see the seeds too soon.

I noticed something similar on Dec. 25. Google usually dresses up their homepage to match the calendar event. On Christmas they only had some generic Christmas cards with no religious themes whatsoever.
Ask.com had a teriffic Christmas homepage by contrast. If you would like an alternative to Google, I would suggest ask.com

Google is not bias free. And Yes, they may be afraid of muslim anger. Liberal cowards.

A lot of folks are using Bing.com as their search engine.

Good comment Mark.

JohnE - I doubt that Shami has much of a chance statewide. Of course I thought that of obama also. Right now though I am wondering what is going on in Houston.

Why are we letting them dictate terms to us? This is America! Shame on anyone who ain't got balls enough to stand up to these wackjobs. Doesn't anyone but us conservatives see they are taking our freedoms, our rights away from us piece by piece? And we, like good little sheep, are just rolling over and playing dead. I've got family members who won't talk to me anymore because I don't believe in the NWO and Obama's view of America. It's sickening. I try to send them a Christmas card, a note and it gets returned unopened and unread. I get ignored for expressing my feelings, but they are not shy about expressing theirs.

Is there any doubt as to why they want to control the internet? Google not only is biased it censors it's You Tube venue also, could Google be like the CIC, Muslim?

JohnE, well I sure hope he does not win. Hard to tell yet what will happen.

Mark, well said.

Jim, thanks for sharing about that. Thanks for that about ask.com. I will check it out.

Tom, thanks for that about Bing, I will try it.

Lynn, Oh wow I am soooo sorry. It is their loss,, because you are such an awesome person Lynn and they are the ones in the wrong, that's for sure.

Jack, good point.

google is well known to be extremely liberal just as the founders of it are very liberal. They have had a liberal biased for a long long time and they have as much admitted a number of times. Too bad they are the defacto standard search engine on the net.
