Obama Will NOT Salute......AGAIN!

.

Wild Thing's comment......

I really believe he is not failing to remember to salute the flag of the US.He’s doing it on purpose. I am not sure if this was at Fort Hood Memorial or on Veterans Day at the Ceremony in Arlington National Cemetry. I have seen it posted as both.

Notice how everyone else is saluting or has their hand over their heart......except of course rk Obama.

....Thank you Mark for sending this to me.

I believe it's Arlington. Fort Hood wouldn't have buildings made of marble.

Arlington!!! I don't give a rat's ass about the Soutpiel's not saluting, he denigrates the honor of the salute by saluting. His absolute lack of respect pisses me off, wtf is wrong with showing the standard right hand over the heart like all the rest of us do.

Personally I think it is wrong for the president to salute anyone in uniform with the exception of the MOH recipients who traditionally time their salutes to coincide with the president as a sign of mutual respect. Any other action cheapens the respect and that non fraternization barrier, that barrier was instiiled to reinforce respect between ranks. Military guidelines are quite specific about protocol for saluting and not saluting. On the list for saluting the first is at the beginning of the day at 0800 and involves raising the national flag while the National Anthem is played. The second is at sunset and consists of lowering the national flag while Retreat or the National Anthem is played, during the playing of Taps and at many other ceremonies and situations. If you are outdoors, stop what you are doing, face the flag or the direction in which Colors are being held, come to the position of Attention, and render a hand salute. Hold the salute until the last note of the music and then you may proceed. On Army and Air Force installations, it is customary to stop your vehicle, get out, come to the position of Attention, and render a hand salute if Colors or Retreat is sounded. On Navy and Coast Guard installations, stop your vehicle and sit at Attention until the last note of the music is sounded and then you may proceed. Dependents and civilians should face in the direction where Colors are being held and stand at Attention. Placing the right hand over the heart is optional. Talking during Colors or Retreat is forbidden and considered disrespectful.
"We hear constantly now about 'our commander in chief.' The word has become a synonym for 'president.' It is said we 'elected a commander in chief.' It is asked whether this or that candidate is 'worthy to be our commander in chief.' That mentality rankles my sensibilities, the president is not our commander in chief. He certainly is not mine. I am not in the Army or any branch of the military. He is under our Constitution the supreme commander of our military forces, he is their Commander In Chief, in this case a P poor one. "The president is not the commander in chief of civilians. He is not even the commander in chief of National Guard troops unless and until they are federalized." It all may seem trivial but I'm not alone in seeing that attitude and the extension of the salutes as the increasing militarization of U.S. politics. Is Obama our president or is he another Hugo Chavez?

"The citizenry at large is now thought of as under military discipline " "The executive branch takes actions in secret, unaccountable to the electorate, to hides its moves from the enemy and protect national secrets." Obama certainly doesn't qualify for that statement, he spends an inordinate amount of time and effort bowing to potentates, cowing to our enemies and spilling his guts, purging them of our national secrets.
The bottom line,, is that "the representative is accountable to citizens. Soldiers are accountable to their officer. The dynamics are different, and to blend them is to undermine the basic principles of our Constitution."
You are not required to salute former Presidents nor are you required to salute former officers, no matter their former rank. Once you leave office or sign your discharge papers, you cease to be part of the chain of command and/or a member of the uniformed military forces.
If you are a candidate for President, you are not part of the chain of command. You are not entitled to a salute. I do take umbrage to Obama saluting his Marine and Air Force escorts when he refuses to honor the flag and has shown his recent disrespect to the fallen at Arlington.

Excellant points, Jack. This POS or C-of-S**t said, he was appalled at the way the Japs had to surrender aboard the Missouri to MacArthur. Does this DH know any History about what those yellow bastards did ? Obviously, not. He should talk to the people of Nanking or the Koreans. This is just so much nonsense from someone who suppose to know everything.

He knows nothing, nothing at all, except how to be a backstabbing MF-ing muslem.

obama seems to like most other countries customs better than America's or our allies. He bows to the king of Saudi Arabia, holds his hand over his heart in salute in Russia, but refuses to salute the National Anthem here and touches the Queen of England. obama is a sorry assed clown.

Obowmao just has to place his RIGHT hand over his heart, and he fails to do so! Just seeing him salute makes a lot of US sick...
