News sites swap Obama's birthplace like magic

UPI, Snopes change location within hours of WND report

wnd

More than eight months after Barack Obama was elected president, the mystery surrounding his precise birthplace is deepening as the myth-busting website Snopes.com – along with several news agencies and an Obama community blog – directly contradict the president's own claim regarding the hospital in which he was born.
But according to Snopes, the popular online hoax-buster that many rely on as the final word on both important and frivolous stories, Obama was born at a different hospital in the Hawaiian capital.

If you happened to read online news sites such as United Press International or the popular hoax-busting Snopes.com anytime up until Tuesday night, you would have seen definitive statements that President Obama was born at the Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.

But checking back now, both sites are suddenly providing an entirely different location, the Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children, also in the capital of the Aloha State.

Within hours of a WND report revealing Obama's birth being reported at two different Hawaiian hospitals, both sites changed their information to suddenly fall in line with the president's claim that he was born at Kapi'olani.

Note screen shot above from Snopes on July 7, before WND's report was posted.

Within just 90 minutes of the WND report, Snopes swapped the location of the president's birth from Queen's to Kapi'olani, as evinced by this screen shot from the exact same Web address:

In response to a query from WND, Snopes sent WND a statement reading, "A number of readers have written to us to point out that Wikipedia previously updated their Obama-related entries to resolve the same discrepancy, so we included a similar clarification in our latest round of updates."

The same phenomenon happened with UPI, as these before and after screenshots from the same online address.

UPI.com address on July 8. 2009, reveals UPI swapped the location of President Obama's birth from Queen's Medical Center to the Kapi'olani Medical Center.

WND had contacted UPI on Tuesday to find out specifics about why it had published last November Obama's birthplace as Queen's Medical Center, which is contrary to the president's new assertion in a White House letter to Kapi'olani. The news agency has not responded.

Wild Thing's comment...........

LOL so obvious! This is just too funny even though it is highly serious, this whole thing is rotten to the core.

Snopes is despicable. hahaha I love how they change their “Facts” to whatever story Obama makes up on a particular day.

Paging David Axelrod, paging David Axelrod.

This reallly is amazing to me. I have been thinking lately about how Soros and Obama must have felt Republicans/Conservatives/ etc. would give up on this if it even did become an issue. I would bet they felt once Obama was elected it would die out. HA!

There is a reason why the Republlican party has the Elephant as our symbol. heh heh Elephants never forget. It is a fact.

That army of two that is Snopes's world headquarters is actually just the Mikkelson's, Barbara, 49 and David, 48 sitting around their modest double-wide on a shady hillside outside Los Angeles. One might question their biases like those of Fact Check, the truth verification arm of the Annenberg group. Factcheck.org, used as a resource by so many who wish to “debunk” negative coverage of Obama, is also a Division, or Project, of the Annenberg Foundation. You’ll recall that Factcheck was the second site to publish the now-suspect Certificate of Live Birth (COLB) reportedly received from the Obama campaign. Maybe some of that stimulus money finally trickled down to the Snopes. Annenberg is a prime funder of PBS and it's indoctrination agenda. We have an anti-american terrorist loving usurper in the oval office and he has the aid of his friends.
