Anti-American With a Podium Obama Refuses to Admit US Won Cold War

Townhall

Major Garrett interviewed President Obama after his little speech in Moscow. Even when he’s not apologizing he still downplays America’s standing in the world.

GARRETT: In your speech this morning, you said the Cold War reached its conclusion because of the actions of many nations over many years. Mr. President, are the Russian sensitivities so fragile that you can’t say the Cold War was won? The West won it? And it was led by a combination of Democratic and Republican American presidents?

OBAMA: Well, listen, the — I think that you just cut out Lech Walesa and the Poles. You just cut out Havel and the Czechs. There were a whole bunch of people throughout Eastern Europe who showed enormous courage.

And I think that it is very important in this part of the world to acknowledge the degree to which people struggled for their own freedom. I’m very proud of the traditions of Democratic and Republican presidents to lift the Iron Curtain.

But, you know, we don’t have to diminish other people in order to recognize our role in that history.

.

Wild Thing's comment........

American patriots rolling in their graves at warp speed.

To admit the US won the cold war would be admitting that that the US did something good, Obama doesn't want to admit that. Obama was on the enemies side during the cold war. He still is, the marxist quisling.

I wish Ronald Regan could come back for 15 minutes and kick obammy's commie ass on world wide TV. Seems to me he had no trouble, after winning the election, letting everyone know that "I WON". But of course he won it all by himself, he didn't have any help. It must be gratifying to be God's gift to mankind.

This moron just can't give a Conservative credit for anything. The collapse of the Soviet Union was in toto due to Ronald Reagan and his policies. Especially, the Star-Wars statement.

This POS in living in the White House, just hasn't a clue of what it takes to be President of the United States.

Biden virtually gave a green light to the Israeli's to take out Irans nukes. Now the white house is backpeddling on Biden's statement.

They haven't a clue and we are going to get caught in the middle.

Yep. American engenuity and honesty won the day with the cold war, but Ronnie did have some help from Margaret Thatcher, Pope John Paul II and Mikhail Gorbachev. If it hadn't been a team effort, it would have never happened. Mikhail was open to it and willing to do the work to make it happen.
But it was started and finished by Ronnie.
And now Obamanation wants to wipe that all out. All that hard work going to waste. What an idiot.

Obama does not want to win any wars save one. And that is his war against the people and freedoms of the citizens of the United States.

Think about this for a minute. Is the Cold War really over or did the Russians just go into hibernation?

As soon as it was declaired we won, Bush-1 sent over 200 B-52's to the boneyard to be chopped into pieces. Our once mighty fleet of over 300 BUFFS is now down to around 70. Missile silos have been imploded and our military has been reduced. Now we're fighting on two fronts, our equipment is being used up fast, and the cost is astronomical. And, the Russians are now playing the Cold War cat & mouse game again. Their aircraft are intruding into Alaskan airspace again. Their warships and submarines are tailing our Navy; even surfacing in the middle of excessive. Our nuclear deterrence has become complacent to where a B-52, armed with nuclear weapons, was flown from North Dakota to Louisiana without anyone's knowledge. I worked SAC nuclear armed B-52's for 13 years and I can't comprehend in my mind how that could happen.

We may have won the Cold War but we also won WW1 and look what happened after 20 years later. I think the Bear is starting to awaken and we've got a Jimmy Carter guarding the cave.

Bob: Outstanding! Well said. Obama makes speeches to the Russians that he wouldn't make here and when the Russians don't scream "Liar" it proves him right. I hope it's not too late for the few real Americans left to wake up.

The threepers say that only 3 per cent of us would fight for what we have. I rode around on July 4 and counted flags in my neighborhood. Hah! Way more than 3 per cent. I counted two out of 26 houses. That's 7 per cent. Of course those two, mine and one other, are up there every day and we are the oldest guys in the 'hood so I don't know what that proves.

Sweet Home

Yeah. Tell me we didn't win the Cold War.

Posted by: Rick at July 8, 2009 10:56 AM

If we didn;t win the Cold War than what was that "peace dividend" that Bush 41, Clinton and the Congress spent on pet projects at the expense of our military?

THE AMOUNT OF EVIDENCE, REGARDING HOW MUCH "THE FRAUD" SEEKS TO DESTROY THIS GREAT NATION, IS BUILDING UP AT AN ALARMING RATE.
I AGREE TOTALLY WITH LYNN'S EARLIER POST.
I HAVE A DEFINITE FEELING THAT THERE ARE MORE AND MORE AMERICANS WHO ARE GETTING TIRED OF THIS CHARADE, AND ARE GOING TO MAKE THEMSELVES HEARD.

All I have to say is: "Oy Vey, Vat A SCHMUCK!!"

The truth is a stubborn thing. It exists, and goes on existing, in spite of narrow, stupid men, organized lying, and the mis-use of education.

Dozens of forces contributed to the end of the Soviet Union...which is what the idiot President claims....but all of them were made possible, and were upheld and reinforced, by the resistance of the free world led by the US.

This concept is much too complicated for Obama, who is a reactionary, dogmatic, orthodox collectivist. If he had a new idea his eyes would bleed. His impulsive hatred for everything not "like" him, linked up with the ideological hatreds of liberalism, and this is his permanent weakness.

Men like him get discarded by their masters when the time is right. I give him another year at most.

RAC, I would absolutely LOVE for that to
happen, to see Reagan do that. ( deep sigh)
It sure makes my heart smile to think
about it.

Posted by: Wild Thing at July 8, 2009 07:09 PM

Mark, your right.
I used to think for a tiny bit that Obama
just didn't know our history. But I think
it is more then that, he has such dislike
and hate for America he simply was not
even interested in it. Like his one bomb
statement at Pearl Harbor too and other
things he has said. It really is all
about himself. sickening!!

Posted by: Wild Thing at July 8, 2009 07:12 PM

Lynn, exactly, he wants to give all others
the pat on the back just not an America, not
President Reagan. Obama probably chokes when
he has to say his name.

Posted by: Wild Thing at July 8, 2009 07:13 PM

BobA., well said that is exactly what he
wants.

Posted by: Wild Thing at July 8, 2009 07:14 PM

BobF., excellent.

Horace, I agree with you. There were a lot
of Flags flying July 4th where I live, even
not counting ours. Some are like us and have
theirs up every day, others put theirs out
on the Special holidiays. But they were so
beautifully flying....gosh I love that so
much.

Rick oh my gosh that is GREAT. First
I love that song and second how neat
what they did. Thank you I saved it
to one of my favorits at YouTube.

Posted by: Wild Thing at July 8, 2009 07:22 PM

Tom, AMEN to that. WE won for sure.
And now Putin better not start up
anything again as he sees how weak
Obama is about our country.

Posted by: Wild Thing at July 8, 2009 07:24 PM

SEAN, Yipppeee I agree too.
I see it at the gym a lot, people grumbling
and wanting to talk about their digust.
People speaking out.

Months ago I started to turn over magazines
at the grocery store when I was inline to
pay. Just the ones that had Obama on the
cover and now guess what...other people
are doing it too, because I am seeing
it at all the different grocery stores,
including Sams Club in the book section.

Just out shopping and I see this happening.
It means a lot!

Posted by: Wild Thing at July 8, 2009 07:27 PM

pontiff alex, he sure is that.

Posted by: Wild Thing at July 8, 2009 07:29 PM

Rhod, OMG how do I love this let me count
the ways. LMAO Your right!

I served in the Cold War and we won. Period. But after Desert Storm, I became part of the "peace dividend" as I was basically forced to retire along with a very large number of shipmates/squadronmates. I averaged one retirement ceremony per week in my last 18 months on active duty. These were guys I knew and had been to Sea with. E6s with honorable and dedicated service shown the door because we were still E6s. I myself had re-enlisted to go back to Sea Duty and had to give the Navy those years to cover my Prescribed Sea Tour. Halfway through, I had to retire. For E7s and E8s, the Selective Early Retirement Boards were convened. All they got was a letter from the Personnel Command telling them when their retirement date was. Frankly, I don't think the Navy has gotten over this. I don't know about the other Forces. But there was a bit of a discipline problem with lower ranks/ratings associated with the drawdown. A lot of good, solid Petty Officers and Chief/Senior Chief Petty Officedrs were retired in the interest of the force reduction. And most of the "Professional Assholes" as well. And for those of us who were overtime in grade PO1s and SSGTs it was our job and we were good at it. We did the day to day running of the work centers. It was us, who won the cold war. Ronnie loaded us up and Ivan blinked.
