America Hating NYS Senate Democrats in SHOCKING Video Won't Stand for Pledge

Video of NYS Senate Democrats sitting defiantly through the Pledge of Allegiance in protest after losing political control of the Chamber to Republicans.

Only one courageous Senator tried to stand to honor the flag, but he was immedaietly pulled down into his seat by fellow Democrats.

The video is from WCBS-2 TV on 6/23/09, taped during a "special session" of the Senate called by Democrat Gov. David Paterson in an effort to end a three-week walkout by Democrats that has brought government to a screeching halt.

Grim-faced Democrats refused to acknowledge even their presence in the Chamber, failing to answer when their names were called, or join in a silent prayer that traditionally begins each session.

The first Senator pictured seated is Antoine Thompson of Buffalo. The Senator attempting to stand is Martin Dilan of Brooklyn, and he looks clearly uncomfortable when he is pulled down by Kevin Parker of Brooklyn and Ruth Hassell-Thompson of Westchester.

Wild Thing's comment.......

I swear with all that is in me, these people should be at least KICKED the HELL out of our Government. Everyone of them is a traitor to our country.

"This is a time in our life that we're making history, this is our moment. We chose to come into the Army knowing that we could be sent over here, but we chose that anyway, because we choose to believe that the patch we wear on our right shoulder stands for something that's greater than Ourselves, that's greater than where we are from. We're the fabric that holds the flag together."

Maybe crap like this will convince the voters of New York to elect grown ups next time. This is what kids do, have a tantrum, stamp their feet, and refuse to obey the rules. In this case show respect for the flag.

There comes a time when you have to take insults personal, this is one of those times. I remember kicking ursus americanus in the ass once, I have that same feeling right now, pull them out bare handed. Outragious!!! I personally blame the people of New York City, not the State as the responsible ones, they deserve what they have voted for. Sorry, I have no use for the Communist scum nor do I feel compelled to like them, next time the ragheads attack don't be wrapping your false patriotic sorry asses in my flag, you haven't earned the right. I equate NY City and Albany on the same plane, my experiences with the rest of the state has been one of pleasant human interaction and mutual patriotism.

Mark - these are children. Elected by children.

I am afraid we may have passed the point of no return in America. Too much of what we have for leadership is some of the worst dregs of society. What is even worse is the extremely low quality of the voters putting these dregs in office.

Juvinile and dimwitted I think that they were just trying to insult the NYS Republicans.

Mark, yes it is extremely childlike,
your right, like spoiled children.

Jack, there are a select few things that
send me over the edge.

I just get really upset at this kind
of thing when it comes to our Flag,
our Pledge and anything to do with
people doing mean things to our miltiary
I want to go balistic on them. And people
that hurt children and animals.

Tom, that concerns me so much. How far
this all has gone, people could care
less about our history, our Constitution,
our Flag should be at more homes flying with
pride, people not even knowing or wanting
to know what is happening with our
government, so many things.

Avitar, yes they were trying to show
total dispect and it backfired on them.
