Every time I see these videos I think: Geez, these guys deserve a better Prez and more support from us. I know they always say it's just their job, but I think they're heroes.

Jack, I sure remember the burning shite cans. Actually, it was considered a prime job since it kept you out of the bush.I remember when flying via Huey to Cu Chi upon arrival in country I saw plumes of smoke all over the countryside and when I asked someone what they were, they told me. It was hard to believe since we were in the 20th century but it was true.

Ya haven't experienced it if ya haven't burned shiite. Yeah Eddie, I got to do that my second day in country at Camp Alpha. The piss tubes made out of shell containers. And I got to swab out the rocket tubes on my aircraft. All those little but memorable things from Nam. Ah, but the lovely girls in their ao dais, ahhh. Beats the hell outta burkas don't it!
This generation, like these troops from The Herd(173rd), will have their particular memories from this adventure to remember also. The 173rd is doing a spectacular job in Afghanistan as it did in Nam. They do deserve better political leadership. What they have now is far worse than LBJ and MacNamara.
