Robert F. Kennedy Jr. today turned a congressional subcommittee hearing into a diatribe on the dangers faced by the United States, affirming that hog producers are a far greater threat to the nation's future than Osama bin Laden – and his terror network.

Kennedy's comments came in response to a question from U.S. Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa.

King asked whether a comment attributed to Kennedy in a published Iowa report in 2002 was accurate. In that, Kennedy stated that, "Large-scale hog producers are a greater threat to the United States and U.S. democracy than Osama bin Laden and his terrorist network."
"Is that an accurate quote?" asked King, whose state includes thousands of small businesses producing pork.

"I don't know if that [quotation] is accurate, but I believe it and I support it," said Mr. Kennedy, who has been involved in a vigorous legal effort against the meat industry for some years, arguing that manure and other products associated with large livestock producers emit toxic wastes that threaten the environment.

"I believe it and I support it," Kennedy said.

Kennedy explained that he agrees with Teddy Roosevelt's statement that "this nation would never be destroyed by a foreign enemy. But he said malefactors with great wealth working from within would erode and subvert American democracy."

But Kennedy accused King of asking an "inflammatory" question.

"Osama has no power over this country," he said, periodically poking his finger in the air at the congressman. "Osama can't make us alter our Constitution but that is happening every day because of the power of this industry [hog producers]."

A spokesman for King's office in Washington said the congressman was concerned by the statements from Kennedy that accused the hog industry of subverting public officials, polluting the earth and damaging the nation.

Wild Thing's comment..........

LMAO I know PIGS are definitely a threat to Osama Bin Laden and his head choppin muslim buddies. Kennedy is an idiot.

Robert Kennedy is too stupid to know what the Teddy Roosevelt's statement even means. I HATE when these jerks do this kind of thing.

I’ve never known hog farmers to take down skyscrapers. But that’s just me.

Kennedy doesn't know if the quote is accurate but he believes it. Does that make any sense ? Since Ted Kennedy the off spring of all the Kennedys have become more obtuse and ignorant than that of previous generations. Since they believe it this sounds like a case can be made for reverse Darwinism.

The whole problem with the Kennedys and the rest of these sheep following the Algors, who by the way is a complete, unadulerated schmuck, they don't have a clue about what the hell they are talking about.

As soon as you question their stand on global warming they become defensive and attack the one who poses the question as villian. Then they quote a Republican like Teddy Roosevelt as a reliable source. Old Teddy was never confronted with such stupidity as that presented by the global warming bunch.

The next invasion of our privacy will be GPS in all vehicles, so the government can track how many miles you drive per month. Then they will tax you on how many miles you drive, to work, shopping or on a trip, if anyone has any money left over and can afford a trip.

Again it is all about control and power.

In the Northeast any moron can get elected to Congress as long as their last name is Kennedy.

I wonder what drugs Robert Jr is on now?

Robert Kennedy obviously knows a lot about hogs. They have a lot in common with the Kennedys, although I don't know if hogs inbreed.

Teddy meant idiots like this guy and I think what he was trying to say was that we can only be destroyed if we let ourselved be destroyed, no foreign power can ever destroy us. Therefore the lesson is we must ever remain vigilant and we are forever in an epic struggle to ensure our survival. The Country itself will remain as is forever borderwise and statuswise. But THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is The Country We Love so Dearly as Governed by The Constitution.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is living proof of Darwinism and the perils of inbreeding. I often wonder where those arrogant assholes would be in society if not for the Kennedy rum runners trust fund. He's just another media made silk purse fashioned from that sow's ear he's condemning. He's even unworthy of the fate of his father.

Jack, good points about the inbreeding.

Imagine this? You're driving a Corvett Z06 on the Bonneville Salt Flats and you get run over by a bread truck. Here you're in one of the hottest sports cars in the world and you can't outmaneuver a bread truck. It's the same as piloting the hottest boat (PT Boat) in the Navy and getting run over by a Destroyer in the middle of the ocean.

Two can play the name calling game.

The Kennedy family and Barack Obama are both bigger threats than all of the hog farmers. So, there!

If you don't like hog farmers, Robert, the next time you want bacon, go buy it from the muslims.
