Super Rino Nicole Wallace and Anyone Else Bashing Gov. Sarah Palin

McCain Aides Blame Palin, Not Themselves
John McCain took full responsibility for the GOP loss Tuesday night, but there was plenty of grumbling by his top aides Wednesday morning that vice presidential pick Sarah Palin caused his defeat.

Liberal bloggers seized on the raw feelings about Palin among McCain campaign insiders.

Cityfile New York reported that Palin wanted very much to speak during McCain’s concession speech Tuesday night, but staffers shot down her request.

So bitter are some members of McCain’s inner circle that they are trying to get even with Palin and ruin her chances for salvaging her political future.

From the minute Palin joined the campaign, she energized a Republican base that was dissatisfied by McCain. She became an overnight fundraising sensation and drew record crowds to Republican events.

It was reported that, when McCain needed to draw a large crowd, he would make sure Palin was with him.

After a pathetic campaign without focus or toughness against the Democratic opponent, it seems natural that top McCain aides would turn their fury on conservative Palin, considered the country's most popular governor.

After joining the ticket, Palin had catapulted McCain ahead of Obama in the polls by mid-September. Palin played a large role in his success. Soon, the mainstream media targeted her with a withering series of attack articles. The AP alone often posted two or three negative Palin stories a day.

Despite the multiple fumbles, McCain aides remain fixated on Palin's wardrobe. One upset aide characterized the spree as “Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus from coast to coast,” adding that the truth will come out eventually when the Republican Party audits its books.

Reports first surfaced in late October that certain McCain insiders were poised to sacrifice Palin in the event of a McCain loss.

“These people are going to try and shred her after the campaign to divert blame from themselves,” a McCain insider told Politico, referring to McCain's chief strategist, Steve Schmidt, and to Nicolle Wallace, a former Bush aide who took a lead role in Palin’s campaign.
“A number of Governor Palin’s staff have not had her best interests at heart, and they have not had the campaign's best interests at heart,” the McCain insider said.

NRO

DAVID FRUM'S DIARY

Wow -that is some savage cutting & gutting that Nicole Wallace has just performed upon Sarah Palin. Nicole & I crossed swords once, during the Harriet Miers nomination battle. Watching what Nicole can do when she is seriously annoyed, I am grateful that I got away from that fight with nothing worse than a few bumps and bruises .
That said: Some of these stories do not ring quite true to me, especially the story about Palin allegedly not realizing that Africa was a continent rather than a country. Apparently she did not grasp that "South Africa" was not the same thing as "southern Africa." But there a lot of possible innocent explanations for a mistake like that.
Larger point: Would it not better serve the cause of understanding for Nicole Wallace to give an on-camera interview to Carl Cameron and state these points in her own voice - and allow viewers to asses their credibility? Wallace's fingerprints are all over these leaks anyway, so it's not as if she has any anonymity to lose.

.

And this..............

A Palin aide said: "Governor Palin was not directing staffers to put anything on their personal credit cards, and anything that staffers put on their credit cards has been reimbursed, like an expense. Nasty and false accusations following a defeat say more about the person who made them than they do about Governor Palin."

Wild Thing's comment..............

This kind of thing makes my heart hurt. I just don't understand people like this. And so the only thing I can see as the reason is they are for sure not conservatives, and more then likely jealous of the love and attention and reaction that Sarah Palin received. This Nicole Wallace is the leak she is behind the whole thing with the help of others.
Don't you just love how these trahsy reports say.... " sources and my sources tell me" and never name names. Great reporting....NOT!

And I am so sick of these rino's these closet Democrats in our party. Including those at the top of the rung of our party. PLEASE GET RID OF ALL OF THEM!!!!!!!!! Let's start from scratch!

McCain was sure quick to criticize someone who used Barack Hussein Obama's middle name. Why doesn't he make a statement in support of his own running mate??? What a jerk!

Nicole Wallace is jealous, and missing a soul.

They are making a HUGE mistake going after Sarah, and there will be repercussions count on it.

Get these petty backbiting self absorbed short sighted elitists OFF the front pages and OUT of my party! Get rid of the rinos! The closet Democrats and we might have a chance to take our country back. Get rid of the likes of Nicole Wallace and her ilk. We need to stop making excuses for these low life's in our party and those that run our party. If we go any further to the left it will be the same as the old Democrat party.

We have a very good chance to win again and not only President but also have conservatives in power. To be in the majority in the House and Senate. I believe that, and we just can't give up. And meanwhile we can purge these jerks out of here. This is dead on serious, it is a take no prisoner time and we owe it to our Veterans and our troops and the future of this Nation is at stake.

There will be days of anger, tears and frustration as welll there should be, we have an enemy that is going to be P...P....P..... I can't say it with his name. He is going to be Number 44. But we will also have laughs to at how his people get upset with him as they already are and will in the future too.

From Rush Limbaugh's show::

They (including McCain) are trying to destroy Palin so conservatives don’t retake the party, we (conservatives) we’re played, the war now is not with Obama, it’s a war in the Party, moderates/rhinos vs conservatives, and Palin is the enemy, they are afraid of her. Basically, staffers are doing this for two reasons:

1) They are not conservatives
2) They need to blame somebody because they were behind the massive loss and want to get jobs in the future.

The attacks on Palin are even worse than he suspected, who is to gain he says? The moderates, they are trying to ruin her 2012 run trying to make her out to be fool, petty, ignorant hick. And all this is coming from our own Party.

....Thank you Mark for sending this to me.

UPDATE November 7, 2008 afternooon

Washington – Today Team Sarah commented on the explosion of post-election attacks on Alaska Governor Sarah Palin:

“I have news for everyone – the campaign is over. Unfortunately, the hateful campaigning against Governor Sarah Palin continues on, perpetuated by those threatened by her meteoric rise,” said Team Sarah Co-Founder Jane Abraham. “Despite the unfounded vitriol and criticism, Governor Palin’s success will endure. Sarah Palin’s success story is just beginning and it will take more than some baseless remarks from a few malcontents to stop her rise in American politics. Governor Palin will continue to influence American politics: her reputation as a fighter against corruption, an expert on energy, and a voice for modern American women balancing work and family cannot and will not be ignored.”

They always have to have a scapegoat, don't they?
This is why I didn't support him in the first place. He really wasn't my type, but when it was him, I did.
Sarah has been nothing but a Godsend to our party. It's sour grapes and hurt feelings. Emotions are so raw right now.
Let's work on making it better next time.

Why is knowing anything about South Aferica important. Obama still thinks there are 57 states.

We should start a letter writing campaign to the RNC, in no uncertain terms. If they do not get rid of these Rinos they will lose all of their base.

It is time we take back our country and party or start a new one. And also let the RNC know that without us they can't win anything and furthermore we won't let them.

If they don't want us then we will fight them to the end.

They wanted a Rino and this is the result you get. A loss.

Sarah Palin almost pulled McCain's losing campaign into the win column. McCain started out as a RINO at the beginning of the primaries and had a staff that thought the same way. He picks a true conservative as a running mate and the staff was obviously jealous that Sarah surged the campaign by herself.

I don't know that we voters can purge the RNC ourselves. There may be a need for a true Conservative Party, a third party. It would be very difficult to put a third party together in time for the 2010 elections, but who knows. The right people might be able to pull it off.

Maybe it's time to break from the Republican Party and form a Conservative Party? Other bloggers are suggesting this and maybe with the likes of Palin, Jindal, and other true Conservatives, it can be done.

McCain staffers blew the election big time. They only wanted Sarah for the millions of Conservative votes she brought McCain and now that he's lost, they're trying to blame her for their failings.

Hopefully Sarah knows that the people, the real people, are behind her 100%. What those blue blood RINO's think is irrelevant.

For some reason this blaming of the Palin's has truly pissed me off.

Great post. I am so angry about these anonymous people and their trashing of Sarah Palin. I've written Fox News to tell them I am disgusted with Carl Cameron's piece where he's practically giddy with excitement spewing these "facts". It's just plain hearsay and makes them no better than the National Enquirer. And O'Reilly defended this piece last night on his show. I'm still fuming.

Michelle Malkin's petition is now closed. Their goal was 1,000 signatures and they've gotten over 10,000.

Sarah Palin...Margaret Thatcher...Laura W. Bush...
Bo Derek...Ann Margaret...Barbara Bush...Lynne Cheney...and WILD THING! That's the company of patriots that real MEN want to be with!! Notice Hillary, Oprah and Cindy McCain aren't mentioned here?

Sarah was the one reason I voted for McCain, the other was a vote against Obama. If Sarah hadn't been on the ticket Elmer Fudd would have been. I'm not convinced that John isn't challenging this as it makes him look like the victim wherein he can suck up amongst his fellow RINO's as if nothing happened. He and Lieberman are done, Fork 'em!!!

Lynn, I agree so much. McCain could stop this insanty if he wanted to. It makes me angry at him and sick to my stomach for Sarah to have to go through such horrible attacks.

These attacks speak volumes about John McCain and his allowing this to go on.

Posted by: Wild Thing at November 7, 2008 06:43 PM

Mark, see that is the thing... You said it, here was Obama saying 57 States and it gets a pass except by bloggers.
I am so angry at what they are doing, this double standard, these lies too about the clothes. sheesh

Posted by: Wild Thing at November 7, 2008 06:47 PM

Tom, I agree, it was Sarah that made all of us want to vote and feel good about it. Darah is the one that pulled the big crowds and the love of America. The children, the little girls wanting to be like her, their eyes filled with hope of knowing they too could grow up and do something big if they want to.

I know what you mean too, I have no idea how we the people would go about cleaning house of the rinos etc. Other then with a vote. I know one say maybe is bugging the RNC themselves. I think for me instead of only writing to the person themselves from now on to complain etc,. I will also send a copy to our party and let them know. If they get bugged enough about a politican maybe they will get the drift how sick of rino's we are. It is only an idea, not sure if it would help or not.

Posted by: Wild Thing at November 7, 2008 06:53 PM

BobF, yes this time it is the worse I have ever seen it too.

And from what I have heard they always do this bashing from the party that does not win. But this time it is bashing and lies that are going to far and the media is repesting too much. On every show for too many days and all day long. If they had said these things even just once and been done with it that would have been bad enough imo but this endless way they are doing it and making it the main news is like some kind of sickness they have or something.

Posted by: Wild Thing at November 7, 2008 07:13 PM

Miss Chris, that is great, thank you so much.At least if we try to let them know how we feel maybe they will get a conscience and see how bad they are.

Posted by: Wild Thing at November 7, 2008 07:16 PM

BobF, thank you for telling about the Petition being closed. Wow that is great so many did it. I am so glad.

Bob, I truly hope you understand,as it is I am only getting between 4 to 5 sometimes 6 hours (if lucky) sleep per 24 hours. I do my posts for the morning starting after 11 at night and work till sometimes 5 and 6 in the morning. I have so little time left to do someone else's blog. I hope you can understand. You are a friend Bob, but I really can't take on a second blog to be responsible for. That would leave me with no hours left to sleep at all.
I want to spend time I can too with Nicholas he is the air I breath and the love of my life, our animals, my work, our home stuff you know stuff wives do, cooking etc. Also I visiting the VA and do some things with the Vietnam Vets in our area, plus some other things I am active in that really leave me with so little time left. I have a niece and a nephew that are Autistic that Nick and I sometimes baby-sit too that makes it impossible to even be online at all when they visit us. Also I support our troops and that takes time too, sending care packages and answering them back when they write to me.

Bob I really hope you understand.

I am going to email you some ideas too plus this post to you, and some links to Team Sarah that might be something for information for you for your blog.

I agree we all have a stake and need to work together, I just hope you can understand there are so many things we all do too that we are showing suppport for Sarah and I just don't want you to feel it is personal or anything it is not. Just not enough hours in the day and there are so many things if I had more time I would love to do offline as well, just not enough time. haha I am one of those people that have tons of interests and it leaves me little time to always take on more things even when I want to.
