Sarah Palin to Appear on SNL

Live from New York, it's Sarah Palin

Saturday Night Live won’t need Tina Fey this weekend to parody Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin—the Alaska governor will do it herself.

A spokeswoman for the McCain campaign told the Associated Press today that Palin will appear on the comedy sketch show this weekend, which will be hosted by actor Josh Brolin, who plays President Bush in Oliver Stone’s latest film “W.”

Palin joins the roster of presidential candidates who have appeared on SNL this election season. Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and John McCain have all appeared on the show.

A John McCain campaign spokeswoman, Jill Hazelbaker, on Friday confirmed Palin's appearance but offered no details about what the Alaska governor will say or do.

Wild Thing's comment.......

I just got this a few minutes ago, it says it was announced one hour ago. I don't care for SNL anymore, it used ot be funny years and years ago. But I will watch it this time to see Sarah.

My wife was a huge SNL fan but she says it's gotten to vile to watch. But, we'll be watching this Saturday for sure.

I'll watch it, but I don't like it.

I wish she wouldn't do this.

I forgot to cancel my Netflix (had it on hold since earlier this year) and ended up getting sent a movie...one I had seen before earlier this year (Leatherheads) and wanted to see again.

But it's been sitting here forever, I just can't get into watching it thinking about George Clooney having some big fund raiser for Obama.

I mean, I really should get over it, it's obvious these Hollywierd types don't know shit from Shinola.

But I just can't forgive them quite yet. In fact, I quit watching anything with Sean Penn and his disgusting ex, Madonna, Sarandon and Streisand/Brolin, years ago. The list is considerably longer after this year.

Maybe we should vote them out like the Democrats?

Hopefully, Sarah Palin will be able to use Biden's "simple three-letter word: jobs. J-O-B-S" in her skit. She could say that the next President of the United States has a simple five-letter last name, McCain, M-C-C-A-I-N.

I may or may not watch. I hate SNL.

Like Eden I wish Sarah would not do this. Maybe it will turn out OK.

BobF, I hope they do it at the beginning of the show so I don't have to watch too much of it. And I really hope they will be not be mean to her to her face, they sure are behind her back.

Eden yes I agree. The ones like you have mentioned have done and said such horrible things I will never ever forgive them.

I just don't get why she said said yes to doing this show. She doesn't have to, no one does. The information did not say if she was told to do it by the campaign or what the deal is. Did she say yes on her own thinking it would be ok I don't know.

From being in showbiz I can promise her that what they can be to a person's face is not what they will be when she is not there the next time.

Maybe I will tape it and then I can just skim through it till I see her part. I do want to see what they have her do on it, but augh the show is horrible.

Les, yes that is an idea. haha

Tom, I agree I wish she was not doing it too.

I feel protective of her especially since she is entering a world I worked in for so many years. I know how it can be.
