Gov. Sarah Palin Rally in Clearwater, Florida

Thousands of people turned out to hear and see Sarah Palin. Lines formed outside Coachman Park before 5 a.m..

Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin expanded her attack on Democrat Barack Obama's character Monday to include his relationship with an incendiary former pastor as well as his ties to 1960s-era radical Bill Ayers.

Palin criticizes Obama's ties to Wright, Ayers

She embarked on a discussion of Obama's relationship with his former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr.

At a morning rally in Florida, Palin kept up her criticism of Obama's ties to Ayers, a founder of the violent Weather Underground group blamed for several bombings during the Vietnam War era, when Obama was a child.

The Illinois senator has denounced Ayers' radical views and activities.

Sarah Palin isn't backing down on questioning Barack Obama's relationships -- telling voters in Florida Monday that she is curious how the Democratic presidential candidate couldn't know that William Ayers was a co-founder of the Weather Underground terrorist group.

Embodying her role as the Republican campaign's pit bull with lipstick, the vice presidential contender said one of her favorite newspapers -- The New York Times -- reported that Ayers was part of a group that launched a bombing campaign against the Pentagon and U.S. Capitol.

"And then there's even more to the story," Palin told voters in Clearwater, Fla. "Barack Obama says that Ayers was just someone in the neighborhood, but that's less than truthful. His own advisers said they were quote certainly friendly. In fact Obama held one of his first meetings of his political career in Bill Ayers' living room and they worked together on various projects in Chicago."

"This is someone who sees America as 'imperfect enough' to work with a former domestic terrorist who targeted his own country," Palin said of Obama. That was a tamer description than Palin used at rallies in California and Colorado over the weekend.

Saying hi to a Downs baby from the audience.

.

Report from a Republican that went to the Rally:

"We arrived at Clearwater’s Jack Russell Stadium at 5:30AM and the buses were lined up waiting for the large crowd that had already formed. We were onto a bus by 6:10 for the ride to Coachman Park which is about a half mile away from the stadium. After going through security at the park we entered the pavilion area. My hubby and I were delighted to put on a white shirt to join many others in forming the American flag in the stands behind Sarah! We were seated in by about 7:00 and the program began at 8:00 with great entertainment and speakers prior to Sarah’s arrival.

I am sure there were AT LEAST 20,000 folks in the pavilion area along with many more outside the bleacher area.

We did not know that Senator Lieberman was coming, but we Floridians gave him a super warm welcome. We know he is supporting the right ticket and he is on the correct side in wanting victory in our war against terrorists! Senator Lieberman gave an excellent speech and introduced Sarah to (of course) loud and ingoing cheers!

I won’t take time to tell you about all the great conversations we had with delightful folks in line going onto buses, during our ride, in line going through security, and then with those sitting around us. One thing I must mention is that we McCain/Palin supporters are happy folks! :)

Sarah Palin Leaves Protester Speechless in Florida!!

Wild Thing's comment.......

I am soooo glad they had special equiped buses for those who are wheelchair bound or have difficulty walking. The rallies for Sarah people have had to park a long way from the event or in huge parking lots where there was a lot of walking just to get to the rally site. They have been thoughtful to have golf carts at most of the rallies but just not enough. This is all so new for the GOP to have someone that draws this kind of crowd, but they are learning fast.

This is all just so fantastic! Thank you God!

Comments

Wait a minute! Something is missing from this article.

Thousands of people showed up to hear Sarah Palin, lining up at 5am? That's all fine and good but were is the high powered entertainment? I didn't see anything of Bruce Springsteen or Cheryl Crow playing beforehand. No Stevie Wonder Ludacris, or P-Diddy...sorry, I forgot, P Diddy is scared of Sarah. Surely their had to be some high powered entertainment there to bring the crowds in? There may have been some small local band but nobody waits for hours just to listen to a local band.

BTW, I talked with a friend yesterday; retired Bird Colonel. He says he would have loved to see a Fred Thompson / Sarah Palin ticket. We can only dream of that and look forward to 2012.

Yes we do know about these things in AFRICA !!

We could just make her Queen and scrap our new-fangled form of government and I'd be happy.

Posted by: horace at October 7, 2008 12:55 PM

In my perfect world, it would have been a Huckabee/Palin ticket, but I don't think Huck would be nearly as effective this cycle as McCain. It's just McCain's time.

All the Sarah haters are going to be nauseus for a very long time...she's a superstar. They can pooh pooh it all they want, but her power is only going to grow.

Thanks, great article and LOVE THE PICS! My favorite is the one with the baby.

Is she wearing dog tags that are an American flag?

Posted by: Eden at October 7, 2008 02:16 PM

I agree with Eden who wrote that all Palin hates are going to be nauseous for a long time. She is the real deal.

Great article! I continue to hope and pray that this campaign is going to turn around. I love the picture of Sarah and the baby. Sarah is for real.

It is nice to visit a web site where Palin friendly people post.

Everybody has it backwards. Palin-'your choice' ticket

Posted by: Mark at October 7, 2008 04:03 PM

Who'd you rather listen to, Sarah Palin or Susan Estrich? Zot!!! She got another fly between whines.

Who'd you rather watch Sarah Palin or Helen Thomas? Screechy Helen is a shudder looking for a spine to run up.

Who'd you believe in being truthful Sarah Palin or Michelle Obama? Michelle is pure evil hatred, even toward her own kind.

As Mark observes everybody has it backwards.

Sarah is the ticket, let's hope the turnout at the polls is even stronger.

Beauty is only skin deep, but ugly goes clear to the bone. Take this in context and listen to the message. Even a blind, deaf mute can sense that Sarah is the real thing, no pretense, only real open honesty and sincerity.

BobF, that is funny yes no top celeb singers to draw crowds.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 7, 2008 04:42 PM

Kevin Lodge, that is great, and I hope Africa is cheering Sarah on because any democrat will be the worst there is for not only America but for the world.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 7, 2008 04:45 PM

Horace, giggle. Good one!!!!

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 7, 2008 04:50 PM

Eden, oh my gosh I hadn't noticed that. Yes I think it is exactly that Eden. Dog tags with the American Flag. How cool that is !!!

Thank you for pointing that out.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 7, 2008 04:53 PM

Miss Chris, yes she is the real deal your right. Nice to meet you.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 7, 2008 04:56 PM

Mary S. Spahr, yes I lvoe that pictrue too. It is so neat too when I see pictures like that of Sarah it is for real, it is not the typical holding babies photo op of a politician.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 7, 2008 04:59 PM

Mark, that is great, yesss.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 7, 2008 05:00 PM

Jack, Susan Estrich....ROTFLMAO....oh my gosh how scary that would be but soooo funny how you said that.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 7, 2008 05:09 PM

Are you all being serious with this blog? Or is it some kind of sick joke? You talk about Sarah like she is God's gift to politics... Have any of you actually understood a word of what she has said in these last few months? And by the way us "Palin Haters" wont exactly be nauseous because come November Palin will be just a bad memory. Are any of you seeing what her ticket is doing? The crowds responses to her last rally were full of more hatred than I can believe! The Mccain camp is so afraid that she'll muck things up for him that they send her to "strengthen the base." Honestly I hope all of you open your eyes and stop patting each others backs because America's future is bleak and a Mccain/Palin presidency would make things that much worse for 95% of us in this country... So unless this is a rich republican (which by the way your party can't even agree on the color of crap anymore, i.e. bailout, bush, iraq, anything of any importance)blog, and I hope that it is. Because if it isn't, I seriously fear for the future of this once great nation if voters like yourselves base your sacred franchise on what you hear from insane talk radio hosts. Now please, go ahead and prove my point by either blocking my post or by responding with angry threats and rhetoric... I've heard it all before.

I printed out that picture of the baby with Sarah for my frig. It's the only thing on there and it looks really cool. Daily inspiration.

Informed( aka too gutless to leave a name)

Yes, I for one support Sarah Palin, and I think most of the folks here do too. I don't speak for them but for myself I do.

I don't know what kind of country you are looking for but with Hussein Obama, the country I grew up in will no longer exist. That was a country with freedom and liberty to do as you chose. Not one where Herr Obama, controls your every movement, action and thought.

If you believed, truly, that come November McCain-Palin will be a memory then you are delusional and you wouldn't even have showed up and shown your ugly face. But you are scared to death that we are going to win and that is why you are here.

Everybody here is a Vietnam, Gulfwar or Iraq veteran so if you want to start some shit we can 'rock and roll' too. We will kick your sorry ass all the way back to chicago along with your sorry friend Barry Hussein Obama.

Do we believe in Sarah Palin and John McCain, You bet. You nor that idiot obama would last a week at the Hanoi Hilton. You sorry sack of crap. Come in here and insult our team. You have no idea what it is to be an American. We have battled your kind for the last 40 some years. From the hippies protesting the United States to burning of draft cards to burning the flag. So you little twit, you have come to the wrong site to try to get in our face. Because we will be all over you like stink on shit.

Eden that is a great idea. "Daily inspiration"...yes I really like that Eden.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 7, 2008 05:53 PM

Don't you love it how the liberals always consider themselves "informed" just like how that clown signed his name...informed.

Whether McCain wins or not in November, Sarah Palin is here to stay. She's the real thing and not a Washington insider. The elite liberals despise her because she's Middle Class in all aspects of the term; from her family to her income. Why, she and her husband only had an income of $166,000 last year. That's not much money for Alaska, especially considering she's the governor and Todd works two jobs; oil fields and commercial fisherman. Calculating the cost of living, that would be equal to $125,000 in Kansas City. That's not a lot of money for the governor of the largest energy producing state in the Union.

Posted by: BobF at October 7, 2008 06:04 PM

I swear, I have become Palinized...lol. Never EVER been this crazy about a politician of all people.

Got my dog tags coming. Going to wear them to the poll to vote for John and Sarah.

Posted by: Eden at October 7, 2008 06:04 PM

I don't even read the disruptive idiot posts anymore. They might as well be in Chinese.

Posted by: Eden at October 7, 2008 06:08 PM

informed....."Are you all being serious with this blog? "....

But of course, I work hard on it about 11 hours a day and look what awesome people are here that are also a HUGE part of this blog. We all are a part of it something you would not understand.

As far as your saying this....

"Now please, go ahead and prove my point by either blocking my post or by responding with angry threats and rhetoric... I've heard it all before. "

1. I didn't block your post but just to let you know I do go offline in the evenings so I will not be around to let another one of your less then brilliant comments through till after midnight. Or Till I tire of you. haha

2. Angry threats, well now there I can't help you because I am a darn good shot. I am more of action more then words person if you get my drift.

3. you say you have heard it all before, wow you must be slow then, because by now after two years of the Presidential campaign one would think you would have caught on. Obama is the dangerous one and there is no way people that LOVE America would vote for that white hater, drug user, sleeze, terroist lover, limp wristed, ugly, horrible speaker, speaking challenged with his uh uh uh's, Muslim lover asswipe.

Maybe you should think of a username something better then informed due to you do not qualify as being informed.

I hope the Obama camp is paying you to waste your time, your job will be short lived after Nov. 4th.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 7, 2008 06:14 PM

Informed, you seem like the kind of person that would enjoy having your ass kicked. Please let us know when you'd like that to happen.

Oh and BTW, fuck your buddy O'Vomit

Posted by: cuchieddie at October 7, 2008 06:20 PM

Thanks for the compliment, but it's more like eBayaholic...lol.

I ordered some that are double sided enameled with a 40 in stainless steel chain.

but, they have em with rhinestones and sterling ones...it was hard to decide

I haven't been this excited about a "celebrity" since David Cassidy was on Tiger Beat.

About all the good I am here is to tell people like informed? that Mark speaks for me and that Wild Thing speaks for all of us. I'm 75 and the only skill of mine that is not diminished by age is the ability to hit what I aim at even at very long distances.
