Notes On Presidential Debate October 7th

Brokaw sounds like he’s half dead! Also Brokaw chose a bunch of horrible questions. The debate was constrained and limited by Tom Brokaw.

I also noticed that Brokaw said John McCain but when talking about Obama said Senator Obama several times. What a total jerk Brokow is. I have never liked him and he just gets worse.

The first answer from Obama ( evil incarnate) and he says it, "the last eight years of Bush." This is his mantra, to blame Bush for everything no matter what.

McCain hammers energy independence , keep taxes low, we need to stop the spending spree in Washington, we need reforms.

Mr. Obamajangles
Obama on his bar stool, looks like Sammy Davis at the Sands.
Only thing missing is a glass of booze and a cigarette.
And an eye patch.--Wild Thing

And then there is Obama's smirking.--WT

Obama, "health care is a right;"

Communist answer from Obama. Hey Idiot Obama Americans have no idea what a right truly is. Now it just means entitlement, thanks to commie's like YOU! The people in this country who want socialism DO NOT DESERVE to be American citizens. Too bad we can’t offer them the choice to strip them of their citizenship and deport them to some nanny state paradise they’ll love.-- Wild Thing

McCain, "health care is a responsibility."

OK here is how a true conservative would have answered, he or she would have done further then McCain's answer. something like this: “Our Founding Fathers specified precisely what our rights are. They are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. That’s it. Those are our rights. Everything else we have is a privilege or a responsibility. That includes education, health care, and houses. To live as a free people - free both economically and politically - we dare not inflate the idea of rights to include every good and service that we desire. That habit of entitlement-thinking leads to the welfare state and to socialism, two killers of economic freedom and prosperity.” -- Wild Thing

McCain bringing up Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac — “Obama and his cronies giving loans to people who could not pay it back” — discussing too vaguely what he did to stop it. He’s on the right track but needs to be SPECIFIC and HARD!!

McCain....he's throwing the gauntlet down on Fannie/Freddie, specifically the Democrats. GOOD! He just blamed Obama and his “cronies”, good.

Senator Smirky (Obama) got the 2nd most donations from them of anyone ever! Meanwhile Obama sits there like a dummy and grins while McCain is saying he’s the 2nd greatest beneficiary of graft from Fannie/Freddie.

McCain is setting the real record straight. Still McCain appears to be nervous, but he's laying out how Obama's entitlement over spending programs are outrageous.

Tom Brokow has some make up on. About a gallon and a half I’d guess. LOL!! His face is as smooth and orange as a Muppet's.

Obama makes me sick!

I am so sick of the blame Bush garbage.

Obama bringing up 9/11 when talking about spending. What the hell????

Obama :" Many of you may remember 9/11."

Many of you?. Shouldn't that be all of us , you pile of Marxist puke? Hey FREAK Ho-bama, 9/11 wasn't a "tragedy." It was an unprovoked act of mass murder of 3000 innocent civilians carried about by Islamic terrorists. The same terrorists who cowardly destroyed 3,000 innocent American lives support Barack Hussein Obama. Why is Obama getting so much money in offshore (illegal) donations from the Middle East? He is a Trojan for Islam.

Obama: “If we could have done anything to stop the Holocaust...”

We did, you dumb know nothing! We went to war with that paper hanging son of a bitch, and stopped him from finishing his evil work with the blood of American patriots! -- Wild Thing

"Brokaw just said Obama this is a question FROM YOU?"

Oh my gosh, besides Obama being totally RUDE at the first debate and now this one too, he is once again asking the questions. You know Obama has a real problem with the need to control people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hussein also said, "Two years ago, I sent a letter to Fed Chairman Bernanke warning about the impending subprime mortgage crisis..."

Obama is a LIAR! The problem for this drooling, lying imbecile? Two years ago, Alan Greenspan was the Fed Chairman, not Bernanke. In fact, I'll bet that two years ago, Hussein had no idea who Bernanke was or how to get in touch with him. --Wild Thing

I loved it when John McCain quoted Barack Obama: Senator Obama, you said that if the economy was bad, you would withdraw your tax plan. (Looking right in Obama's eyes) Well, Senator Obama, I've got information for you. The news is bad.

McCain Calls Obama " That one" .......LMAO I love it! Oh my gosh this was just so perfect!!!

"You know who voted for it? You might never know. That one," said McCain, gesticulating towards Obama. "You know who voted against it? Me."

McCain was talking about buying up bad mortgages...

He didn’t explain his plan well.

This is the plan he is proposing: ....This is from the McCain/Palin email I received.

AMERICAN HOMEOWNERSHIP RESURGENCE PLAN

John McCain will direct his Treasury Secretary to implement an American Homeownership Resurgence Plan (McCain Resurgence Plan) to keep families in their homes, avoid foreclosures, save failing neighborhoods, stabilize the housing market and attack the roots of our financial crisis. America’s families are bearing a heavy burden from falling housing prices, mortgage delinquencies, foreclosures, and a weak economy. It is important that those families who have worked hard enough to finance homeownership not have that dream crushed under the weight of the wrong mortgage. The existing debts are too large compared to the value of housing. For those that cannot make payments, mortgages must be re-structured to put losses on the books and put homeowners in manageable mortgages. Lenders in these cases must recognize the loss that they’ve already suffered.
The McCain Resurgence Plan would purchase mortgages directly from homeowners and mortgage services, and replace them with manageable, fixed-rate mortgages that will keep families in their homes. By purchasing the existing, failing mortgages the McCain resurgence plan will eliminate uncertainty over defaults, support the value of mortgage-backed derivatives and alleviate risks that are freezing financial markets.

The McCain resurgence plan would be available to mortgage holders that:

· Live in the home (primary residence only)
· Can prove their creditworthiness at the time of the original loan (no falsifications and provided a down payment).

The new mortgage would be an FHA-guaranteed fixed-rate mortgage at terms manageable for the homeowner. The direct cost of this plan would be roughly $300 billion because the purchase of mortgages would relieve homeowners of “negative equity” in some homes. Funds provided by Congress in recent financial market stabilization bill can be used for this purpose; indeed by stabilizing mortgages it will likely be possible to avoid some purposes previously assumed needed in that bill.
The plan could be implemented quickly as a result of the authorities provided in the stabilization bill, the recent housing bill, and the U.S. government's conservatorship of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. It may be necessary for Congress to raise the overall borrowing limit.

Wild Thing's comment........

So that is about it, a few bells and whistles but not all I hoped for.

Just this, we can see what is happening and so much of it is socialism, why they are all bent on this when it has never worked in any country is beyond me.
There is so much on Obama that anyone running against him could have a field day, a banquet of choices to pick from to lay into him about, just as Sarah Palin has been doing.

Something to notice is how easy it is when one is a conservative for that person to stand up for what our country was meant to be and has been till the liberals and rino's got a grip on it. Heck I would love to debate Obama, no big deal, I would have to be coached on some policy things but darn I would not hesitate. Those sitting on the fence are the ones wanting to know the huge differences in what Obama's America would look like and a conservative one that stays in tune with our Founders. The challenge would not be having the nerve to speak up, but in how much time I am allotted for my answers.

This debate was not for people like me, I have made up my mind. I am voting McCain/Palin and for the rest down the ballot to keep Republicans in office. I want the majority back in the Houses and Pelosi and Reid combing the desert for water with one of those ugly sticks as they dry up and wither away into the sand storms.

Once we get a win, and I pray we do, then the other work starts when we let McCain know how we don't like things he wants to do. Hopefully this will be kept to a minimum but let's not bet on it. ( rolling my eyes here).

The worst kind of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialism.

Our founders never intended for many of the things we see happening today to ever happen. They never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people . They never intended for government to deprive we the people of our
constitutional rights to free speech as we have seen happening with PC taking over and lawsuits happening because someone said something that was not PC. They never intended government to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems. But all these things and more things are socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals.Unfortunately liberals lite let's call them or rino's have grown in masses in our own party.
Our founding fathers would be aghast and furious to see what is happening, shots would be fired I am sure of it.

Pray for our country and our troops.

never skinned a coon before,
maybe it's time to learn??
we is in deep do-do!

Yes WT, you are right. We are becoming more socialist every election. Socialist agenda led to the mortgage mess that we are in now.

This debate was almost boring. McCain got in a few minor hits, but no knockout punches. Not much excitment when a rino debates a liberal. They mostly compared socialist agendas.

Obama told some blatant lies, but he did so in a smooth manner. McCain was at his best discussing national security and the war. I don't think any minds were changed last night. Obama's smooth delivery of big promises may have won over a few fence sitters. Overall, a very uninspiring debate.

I wouldn't even call it a tie!!! John chose to take off limits any evidence that Obama has ties to anarchist groups, that he campaigned for ACORN that he spent 7 years as a partner with Bill Ayres, that he campaigned in Kenya. John tosses out the the $300M mortgage buy back, is that a new one, is it inclusive in the $850 Pork slab already earmarked, is it another entitlement right? Entitlements have now become unchallenged Obama rights. Nothing was said about cleaning up the House and Senate ethics, that has been left to their now bought off constituents.

McCain needs to confront the liar for what he is, name the names of his associations and produce the dates and the facts.

As long as we keep what we got we will be fine in this election and it seems like we are so that part of it is ok.

Now we got to get rid of the whole congress. A recent poll said, 60 % of the people are ready to change congress as most are disgusted with them.

Chief, all you need is a coon dog that will take care of everything. Thats what I could never understand about all these K-9 cops all their dogs are shepards. When what they need is a couple of Red Bones, coon dogs and they would be farther ahead.

Those Red bones don't like racists either.

Listening to McCain last night telling us how he continually reaches across the aisle only reminded me that we're actually voting for two Democrats, but one happens to have a Conservative running mate.

Posted by: BobF at October 8, 2008 02:27 PM

Mark-racist? I have a local black lady at the local exchange i'mm close to as friends.she cain't stand Ho-Bama eather.Checked once fer a good redbone hound-started about 500.00 fer a mut + shipping.I don't like snakes ,gess it's a Nam thing-but call it what ya like.will leave tha pot-lickers to you.

Great summation of the debate...if one could call it that. Tom Brokaw is useless...

Posted by: Miss Chris at October 8, 2008 04:49 PM

Naw Chief, don't want them pot-lickers either. But a good Redbone can tree a coon with in minutes of finding one.

I don't like snakes either. Especially ole 'two step.' One of those old nasty snakes of the RVN.

Posted by: Mark at October 8, 2008 05:32 PM

In this socialist blue state it's PC to be advocating against the GOP, Neocons and Christians. If we speak out for THE RIGHT... we are racists and over the top? Read 2 Timothy Chapter 3:1-9 and ... "I told you so!"

Chief,LOL...... I go between feeling like we have a chance to being really afraid Obama will win. He terrifies me and the people with him do to.
It will be so wonderful to see Sarah Palin as offically our VP. And Cindy McCain as our First Lady.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 8, 2008 07:21 PM

Tom, yes, I wanted McCain to ride in on a white horse blazing. haha And Cindy at his side and Palin on a horse too. heh heh Now that would be a great photo.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 8, 2008 07:25 PM

Jack...."Entitlements have now become unchallenged Obama rights."......let me at him the blankity blank pos.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 8, 2008 07:29 PM

Mark, I agree.

"As long as we keep what we got we will be fine in this election and it seems like we are so that part of it is ok.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 8, 2008 07:31 PM

BobF, if Obama was only a democrat that would be bad enough, but he passed that up with his being the furthest to the left of all the dems. He is well into the land of a Marxist and a member of the Progressives ( communists). God help us if Obama wins.

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 8, 2008 07:36 PM

Miss Chris, thank you.It is harder to write about it when I wanted it more exciting. haha

Posted by: Wild Thing at October 8, 2008 09:53 PM

Darth, thanks for the verse. Florida here is divided, the west coast side where I live is mostly Republican and the East coast side is democrat because of Miami being over there.
