Rush Limbaugh says of Palin choice:

“It’s an inspired choice… this is absolutely fabulous.” “We’re the ones with the babe on the ticket.” “And this is a real Republican woman. This woman hunts moose.” “She is a total maverick. babies, guns, Jesus. Hot damn!"

Supports ending D.C.'s 32-year-old ban on handguns

Governor Sarah Palin today lauded the U.S. Supreme Court's landmark decision upholding the right of Americans to own guns for self-defense, hunting and other purposes. The high court's 5-4 ruling in District of Columbia vs. Heller affirmed gun rights by striking down the District's 32-year-old ban on handguns.

"This decision is a victory for all Alaskans and individual Americans. The right to own guns and use them responsibly is something I and many other Alaskans cherish," Governor Palin said. "I applaud the Court for standing up for the Constitution and the right of Americans to keep and bear arms."

The state of Alaska in February joined a multi-state amicus brief written by the state of Texas in support of the Second Amendment right of individual Americans to bear arms.

Lifelong NRA member & champion of right to bear arms

Governor Sarah Palin announced the State of Alaska will join the multi-state amicus brief authored by the State of Texas in support of the Second Amendment right of individual Americans to bear arms. The Texas amicus brief in the case Washington, D.C. v. Heller will be filed by February 11, 2008.

Governor Palin, a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association, has long been a champion of the constitutional right to bear arms, as well as a proponent of gun safety programs for Alaska's youth.

"I am proud to join the State of Texas in support of the Second Amendment," Governor Palin said. "We need to send a strong message that law-abiding citizens have a right to own firearms, for personal protection, for hunting and for any other lawful purpose."

My gun rights are safe and one of my hobbies is intact with Sarah as Vice President. No Chicago or Washington DC type gun bans from her.

Anyone who supports gun rights usually supports the other freedoms guaranteed by The Constitution. Sarah Palin is a believer in The Constitution. It shows in her political and personal history. I love the way she cleaned out the good old boy system in her own Republican party in Alaska.

A beautiful, feminine, yet tough, straight shooting, gun shooting lady. Annie Oakley, Jeanne Kirkpatrick, Harriet Nelson and Miss America in one package.

BTW, Have Gun, Will Travel was a family favorite when I was growing up.

The more I learn of Sarah, the more I like her.

Her family seems to be the typical American family that can empathize with the rest of us. No phony "I feel your pain" from her. Her and her husband not only talk the talk, they also walk and live it too.

All this talk about her not being fit because her daughter is pregnant is enough to make your blood boil.

Can't wait for her debate with Joe. She'll chew him up, spit him out and have him stuffed for her coffee table.

This is true about making your blood boil, but the silver lining comes in when one looks at the big picture.

Since Sarah Palin has been selected by McCain the Republicans captured the moral high ground on every serious social issue.

The main stream media can whine and moan all they want but this Lady relates to the people who do the voting.

Saying, Yes it's a mistake but we will handle it, in our family.

BobF, I agree, she is for real and uneffected by what happens to so many that even make it to Gov. of a State.

Mark, they have TV's at the gym and I was watching the media going on and on about the same things about Palin that have now been discussed by them (the media) into insanity on their part. Then I looked around the gym at the others watching the TV's too while they were working out. LOL So many smiles on faces and happy , I could pick the pro Palin people out immediately. This one man came up to me and said..." Chrissie let them talk all they want about Palin and then just laugh them off because they are really scared now. This shocked them and they are still trying to learn how to handle it."

I think they are out of news, with no big hurricane stories and RNC being delayed, the media has seen fit to give Sarah and Bristol pelvic exams and pap smears. Next!

Eden, hahaha good one. Your right, they have nothing else to make bigger then life right now.

I am soooo glad the convention gets back on track tonight. I wait 4 years to watch the conventions, balloons, music and all that they have, I love it. And I watch both just so I know what both sides are up to.. haha
