Obama Listens? To Gen. Petraeus and US Ambassador Crocker

Democratic presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) listens to testimony from US Commander in Iraq General David Petraeus and US Ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Capitol Hill in Washington April 8, 2008. REUTERS/Joshua Roberts (UNITED STATES)

Brave men risk their lives, so Obama can nap in peace at tax payer expense.

Wild Thing's comment........

This man will NEVER be President. He cannot even listen to the testimony and advisors on how the war is going.

Comments

He ain't listening. He's about to fall asleep.
The rudeness of this man is unbelievable. He was handed everything good in life and was able to make something of himself but he isn't willing to open up those dumbo ears and really hear what is being said.

Obama's comments were right on, showed he knew what he was talking about and that he was paying attention. McCain's on the other hand, showed he didn't even have a basic understanding of the situation, and that either he is senile or just plain ignorant.

And I'm a conservative Republican who supports the troops!

This is what happens when the candidate has a closed mind, he's committed to toss it all away in his hatred of this country.

I watched bits and pieces of it, but the theme of questioning was usually the same. Here is a picture, not real but makes the point. The cover in the background is Putin.

This is a new blog and I am in the beginning stages of learning so be patient and please comment. I am new to blogs, both reading and posting.

Actually, a lot of the testimony is probably beyond Obama's ability to comprehend. He attempted to ask loaded questions like a biased overzealous reporter. This man is not leadership material. He is more of a car salesman type. Shame on Illinois for electing him to anything.

His questioning of General Patraeus was, at best sophmoric. Again without his Q cards he is even less of a speaker than he pretends to be.

I just heard that Obama's Uncle Fester, you know the Pastor was once a Moslem, perhaps that explains the his attachment to Farrakhan and the trip to Lybia. And Obama's attachment to Wright. He was a moslem just like his 'daddy'.

There are more about this obama guy than we know like he was a Marxist while in college. With these kind of candidates Putin doesn't need the KGB he already has the kgb in exile working in the U.S. of A. under the auspices of the democrat party.

And of course there is alot about obama that we don't know and that is the scary part.

"RIGHT ON" is a hippie saying from the pacifistic hygienically challenged that were conceived in a Woodstock mosh pit in the late 60's...

Why listen when Sen. Barack Obama will meet with the terrorist enemies of the United States, understand their concerns, and negotiate a quick and real peace? It is interesting to note that he never tells anyone what he is willing to negotiate away to make nice with the Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's of the world. Could it be freedom and democracy for Iraq and Afghanistan? Could it be Israel? Or, would Barack Obama agree to give up the war on terror and open the door wider for a strong Islamization of the United States including a parallel Sharia legal system?

Lynn, yes he does look like he is about to fall asleep. Dang him I can't stand him!

ER, I let your stupid ass comment through because I wanted to tell you there is NO WAY YOU ARE A CONSERVATIVE! Hell would have to freeze over first and even then you would not qualify to be a conservative.

NO one can be for Obama and support the troops. maybe the terrorists but not the USA troops. He is a vile piece of of humanity that got some kind of break with Soros money to seek office in Illinois and then to run for President. His followers and they are followers NOT clear thinking intelligent citizens are kool-aid freaks that swoon over him, faint at rallies he has and hate America.

Now go and do your Obama mantra for your America hating B. Hussein Obama.

Jack your right, he will throw America right under the rug for his muslim friends.

Les, your right, and I bet he would run right into the arms of those wanting to wipe out Israel.

Believe it or not, this is why a President Hillary would be better than a President Barack.

Under Clinton, suddenly all the good news about "the surge" will get trumpeted in a sympathetic press. By then Petraeus will more or less have finished the job. And Hillary will take credit for it. And the media will spin it her way. And we will all be sick. But at least we will have won.

Under Obama, expect a cut off of Pertaeus' strategy, just as there was a cut off of Abrams' strategy. And expect Saigon and Phnom Penh 1975 all over again.

Nick Byram, yes I think so too.
