Sharpton to Bill Clinton: 'Shut Up'

.

Sharpton weighs in........
abc news blog

Al Sharpton on Monday weighed in on the raging debate inside the Democratic Party over former President Bill Clinton's advocacy on behalf of his wife's campaign, with two choice words for the former president: "Shut up."

On ABC's "The View," Sharpton said voters are hearing "race charges, race-tinged rhetoric" in the Democratic primary campaign, and called on the former president to cease.

"I think it's time for him to just be quiet," said Sharpton, who was a Democratic presidential candidate in 2004. "I think it's time for him to stop. As one of the most outspoken people in America, there's a time to shut up, and I think that time has come."

Sharpton didn't say which comments in particular bothered him. But many Democrats were particularly upset that the former president made an explicit comparison of Obama's campaign to Jesse Jackson's victories in South Carolina in 1984 and 1988, in an apparent attempt to explain why his wife didn't win the South Carolina primary on Saturday.

For his part, Jackson told The New York Times that he wasn't bothered by the comparison. Still, he told the newspaper that he had spoken to both Obama and President Clinton over the weekend, and told both to "take it to a higher ground."

Wild Thing's comment........

The Clintons are losing all of their "friends". No honor among thieves and all of that stuff.

“Jackson told The New York Times that he wasn’t bothered by the comparison.”

Jesse Jackson was just delighted his name was in print!

LOL I have to say. . .I’m loving all this drama going on in the Democrat party. Quite entertaining.

Yep--the dummys are turning it into more of a "reality" show than a reality show, you know what I mean?
We got a whiny ice queen with delusions of Godhood, an untested wimpy, muslim raised nerd with delusions of being King and a nervous norvis who's lost touch with reality. Who to vote off the island next?
And why are Sharpton and Jackson always involved?

Why are the democrats having trouble coming to grips with racism in there party this is the party of racism.

It was radical democrats who ran as the Dieie-crats in '48 and again, with less impact in '52. After the civil war the Whole South was democrat this is where the true Racism spawned.

How this whole idea got so convoluted, that it was the Republicans who were the racists was due the slick marketing and packageing by the democrats sadly the Republicans never tried to dispute it, either. And the Black community bought the whole line.

I always hear about Bull Connor and et al, they were ALL democrats, where is the missing link, how come Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and the rest of these mental midget Black Leaders, why can't they connect the dots ? As to who is the real racists in this country.

They have tried to connect Obama with JFK. JFK had a real problem during the early 60's as far as what to do with the racial unrest in the South. All the Govenors in the South were loyal democrats, how could he force them to obey the law and still keep the pigs in the sty.

After LBJ signed the Civil Rights ACT of 1965 he said, 'He feared he had just given the South to the Republicans.' It was Everett McKinley Dirkson a Republican who led the charge to get that legislation passed.

With this kind of track record how in hell can they say, we the conservatives are the racists.

Hmmm!!! Cool it Bill, you're scaring away the big game from the money trap. Must be like the flight of the Golden Goose to him. Maybe Sharpturd is feeling the threat of his loss of influence with Obama's rise to prominence with his sycophant following's stealing of the Poverty Pimp's thunder.
Big Al looks out at the plain and sees the wildebeest beating feet in the opposite direction blindly following a new leader promising a bigger piece of the pie without having to share it with Big Al or Jesse Jackson. He must feel a bit let down like Hillary.

Over the summer Al Shakedown Sharpton told FOX News he would back Hillary all the way 'cause the Clintons are as black as one can get basically. Now he's opting for the upstart swiss mocha 'brother' from Illinois and not the former Perv In Chief's spouse Hitlery Rotten Clinton - the Beast from the East?

Al Sharpton criticizing and giving Bill Clinton advice on race charges and race-tinged rhetoric reminds me of the saying, "the pot calling the kettle black." Al Sharpton should shut his own f'ing racist and race baiting mouth.

It's mind boggling how many stupid people give this racist pig a public platform to spread his venom and how many stupid people listen to him. Ooooops! They are voters. What a country!

When Bubba was making stains in the Oral Office,
the blacks were the #1 minority then. Now the Latinos have surpassed them as the #1 minority in Estados Unidos! This Defeatocrat presidential nomination will be dirty and bloody... wait and see - drive bys and switch blades and yo momma jokes... "HIPS vs. Q-TIPS steel cage match" !

Lynn I sure do know what you mean you are right on about it too. They should stay out of politics, Sharpton and Jackson, in fact all on the left should. That would make it a better world.

Mark, I will never understand it. You are so right, can't they hear or realize what they are being controlled by and influenced by. I know it is not 10% of the blacks that believe this bs, but most do and I don't get why.

Jack, yes I was wondering how long it would take before Sharpton and Jackson changed sides from Hillary to Obama. They want to be with a winner and right now Obama is also the gift from Soros to the DNC.

Darth,..."Beast from the East"...good name for her. LOL She sure is too.

Les, "What a country!" is right. They keep giving him a voice and he will never go away.

Darth, what you said made me think of something. The DNC convention might have to have extra security guards, because that very well could be what might happen, with knives, guns etc.
