Pelosi To Antiwar Activists' - I Feel Your Pain
Pelosi: I would not give Congress high marks on ending the war
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Sunday that she would not give Congress high marks with regard to ending the war in Iraq, adding that she understands voter dissatisfaction on the issue that has sent the congressional approval rating tumbling.
The speaker, in an interview aired on ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos,” stated it was ironic that, as an outspoken opponent to the Iraq campaign, anti-war activists are targeting her now. However, Pelosi added that she understands and respects the frustrations of the Democratic base.
“We will continue to pass legislation to make that point that the war should end,” she said. “And we happen to be blocked by a 60-vote hurdle in the Senate, but the public doesn’t want -- care about that. They just want us to end the war.”
Pelosi also said that she would not bring up to a vote language that designates Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps a terrorist organization.
The measure had passed in the Senate earlier this year.
Pelosi said now is the time to take up action on the Armenian issue because the last of the survivors are dying.
“Some of the things that are harmful to our troops relate to values -- Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo, torture. All of those [are] issues about who we are as a country,” Pelosi said. “And I think that our troops are well-served when we declare who we are as a country and increase the respect that people have for us as a nation.”
House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) said on Fox News Sunday that there is “no question that the suffering of the Armenian people some 90 years ago was extreme.” However, he added that those events “ought to be a subject for historians to sort out, not politicians here in Washington.”
“Bringing this bill to the floor may be the most irresponsible thing I’ve seen this new Congress do this year,” Boehner said.

Pelosi is doing all she can to make this war harder for our troops to fight. I think that is why she has pushed this Turkey thing like she has. Just to mess with our soldeirs and what they are up against.
She feels more for these wretched punks the anti-war cowards, than she does her country or our military. Try feeling the pain of the 911 victims families, or the families of those murdered by Saddams henchmen and al Queda.

Maybe she should feel the pain of the parents, spouses and children of the troops in harm's way that could very well be in real deep doo-doo if turkey cuts off our access to getting supplies to the troops.
I can't begin to describe how shakin' angry I am at her complete disregard for the safety of our troops.
This is so low as to be beyond belief - just to "get Bush" again.
Question her patriotism and support of the troops?? Oh, I'm way past that. I know she doesn't, along with all her cronies that have such severe BDS that they will insult and endanger our Finest for their treasonous political agenda.
I thought she was all about "the children". Well, those serving in our military are someone's children. One of them is mine.

She doesn't think before she opens that pie hole of hers.
My husband's cousin Marty served a year in Iraq, as did my nephew David and now David's little brother Jeffy is going, too.
David and Jeffy's dad served in the first Desert Storm, so that's two generations.
Do I care about ending the war? Yeah. But not until the job is done.
She needs to think before she acts or speaks.
Do I care about the kids? You bet. But a free and democratic society is what they need.
Can't stop until the job is done.

Pelosi is just purely an anti-American socialist. If she had her way the government would control every aspect of our lives and we would have a military only as a governmental internal police force.
Pelosi is sick. She grew up in extraordinary privilege and thinks like a drugged hippie that never grasped adulthood. I only hope that her term as Speaker of the House serves as an example of what we don't ever want again.What is scary is that so many members of Congress agree with her.

Has anyone noticed, She never blinks. Just watch her eyes she never blinks at all. Is that a sign of a drug induced , 'Wide Awake'.
Or maybe with all the plastic surgery, she just can't close her eyes. She's got to be a democrat. No one else is that screwed up.

Real world, war is a plague as old as mankind itself, it's kill or be killed, only conscience inhibits us from wanton slaughter, some cultures and ideologies don't have any inhibitions, we have to war against them to survive.
Pelosi and her followers have nothing vested in the security of his nation, they have not made any personal sacrifices to do anything, they live only to tear down what others have gave them, including that protection from those abhorrent people without those inhibitions. They have basked in the cocoon of protection provided by better men and women than they are. Their idea of support is to buy off their portion of the responsibility at the expense of the rest of society, much the same way elitist Al Gore buys off with his whacko carbon credits. Imagine their surprise whan they find that just before that muzzie slices of their head that that he could give a rat's ass about their elite status.

Yankeemom, I agree Pelosi doesn't have a clue how a family member feels or any loved one of one of our military. And even more pathetic she doesn't care to know, she could care less.

I agree, the strange thing is they don't get people like Pelosi is that we hate war, but the peace is because of war, our freedom is because of war. Amazing how little they really know about our history and why we live in the land of the free.
