Kerry accuses Bush of trying to scare Americans about al-Qaida

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP)

Senator John Kerry is accusing President Bush of trying to scare the country about al-Qaida.

He's reacting to a speech the president made today at Charleston Air Force Base in South Carolina.

In it, Bush insisted that al-Qaida in Iraq is run by foreign leaders "loyal to Osama bin Laden" and described al-Qaida's burgeoning operation in Iraq as a direct threat to the United States.

Bush also accused critics who claim al-Qaida's operation in Iraq is distinct from those behind 9-11 of misleading the public.

But Kerry says the president presents no evidence, adding "al-Qaida in not the principal killer" of US troops in Iraq. He says Bush is trying to scare Americans into believing his rationale for continuing the war in Iraq.

Wild Thing's comment........

Then there was also back in 2004, when Kerry said that we should have to get used to “some” amounts of terrorism in the United States.

To the Liberal mind Al Qaeda is harmless and Global Warming is an imminent threat.

Senator "Cut off ears" Kerry has zero credibility with me.

I don't want to get "used" to terrorism in my homeland.
John "ketchup boy" Kerry can kiss my butt.
I'm not scared of Al-Qaeda. I know they're out there, just waiting for us to do something stupid or weak minded to pounce and it's because of people like him we have these problems today.
If they come after me and my family, they better wish they'd died as a child. No one attacks my family and gets away with it.
Momma wolf (my alter ego) is NOT a nice person to deal with.

Let Kerry keep talking. His mouth is his own worst enemy. He loves attention and will say anything to get it. I really wish he and Al Gore were running with the other Dems for president. These two guys would add a viciousness to the Dem primary and split the party even more.

Kerry's an idiot. He knows the president can't provide evidence because to do so would reveal sources. But then, Kerry never cared about the safety of those risking their lives to protect this country.

We have to realize folks that their's many Muslims risking their lives to support and provide information to our troops. For Bush to provide evidence, it would most likely be an execution sentence for these people.

Rick, I agree, Kerry has no credibility with me either. Sometimes I still get a tiny bit shocked at things he says, only because someone is that sick to say them, but other then that his words have no impact.
