Rhema Marvanne Sings a Tribute for Soldiers

Rhema Marvanne Sings a Tribute for Soldiers

At just 8 years old, Rhema Marvanne sings her song as a tribute to the soldiers.

Rhema Marvanne was born 9/15/02, lost her mother, Wendi Marvanne Voraritskul, to ovarian cancer on November 8, 2008. Rhema lives in Carrollton, TX and attends The Branch Church (Vista Ridge Campus)

The story behind this most incredible little girl is heart wrenching, tragic, and beautiful…

Rhema Marvanne was born September 15, 2002. Her Father is Teton Marvanne and Mother is Wendi Marvanne. She was born at Trinity Hospital in Carrollton, TX. She was carried to term but was still very small. Rhema weighted 4.11 lbs and had to stay in the NICU for 3 weeks before she was taken home.

Rhema aspires to follow in the footsteps of her late Mother, Wendi Marvanne, who battled ovarian cancer when Rhema was just 3 years old. When Rhema was only 6 years old her Mother went back to heaven on 11/8/08…

Rhema’s memories with her Mom were pleasant memories but revolved around surgery, multiple chemotherapy treatments, sickness and struggle. Wendi was a strong believer in God and loved him with all her heart. She never complained or questioned God. She even encouraged others while she herself battled cancer.

During the last few months of her life, Rhema and Teton took care of Wendi. Rhema spent almost every hour with her mother, especially the last 2 weeks untill Wendi took her last breath. When her husband, Teton, asked Wendi what her greatest accomplishment was, she said, “Rhema”…

Rhema began singing the same time she began talking. It was less than a year ago Rhema recorded her first song, Amazing Grace and quickly became an Internet singing sensation. She takes tremendous inspiration from her mother, Wendi Marvanne Voraritskul, who sadly lost her battle with ovarian cancer in 2008. It is Rhema's greatest hope to make her mother proud, both as a singer and as a servant of God, which is why she also performs at churches, non-profit organizations, charities, hospitals and special events…

This amazing litte powerhouse singer can bring an entire auditorium to tears every single time she sings this wonderful song…

What we find amazing is how She and her Father still press on in the absnence of the once vibrant, close, and loving relationship they shared with her mother who also was an incredible human being…

Our hat is off to Rhema's Father Teton, how he is able to get through each day must be nothing short of a miracle, he appears to be a wonderful and loving Father and Rhema is a very lucky litte girl to have a Daddy like him…

What a voice. How great, yet sad, of a story. She and her father must have one heck of a pastor at their church to help keep them motivated after her mother's death.

Tom, yes they both have gone through a lot and to have a good pastor means so much for them.
