Bush 41, Bush 43 To Throw Out First Pitches At World Series Sunday Night

George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush receive honor for Game 4

Former Presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush will throw out ceremonial first pitches before Game 4 of the World Series on Sunday night.

The San Francisco Giants lead the Texas Rangers 2-0 in the best-of-seven series.

George W. Bush was managing general partner of the Rangers from 1989-94 and maintained partial ownership of the club until 1998, two years before he was elected the 43rd president.

Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan will throw out the first pitch for Game 3 on Saturday night, when the series shifts from San Francisco to Texas. Ryan is part of the ownership group that recently purchased the franchise from Tom Hicks.

Game 3 is scheduled to start at 5:57 p.m. CDT, the earliest start for a World Series game in more than 20 years

Thank you Carlos for telling me about this.

I sure hope the Texas Rangers win!

Not going to happen, WT. Giants pitching too strong and the Rangers have no middle relief, as evidenced in games one and two.

Sean, thanks for the information. I wish my Dodgers were in it...deep sigh. Maybe next year.
