Iran Sends 6 Warships to Int. Waters in 'Saber Rattling' Move

Iran Sends 6 Warships to International Waters in 'Saber Rattling' Move

FOX News

Iran has sent six warships into international waters in a move security experts are calling a "muscle flexing" show of defiance following missile tests last week.

"Iran has dispatched six ... warships to international waters and the Gulf of Aden region in a historically unprecedented move by the Iranian Navy," Iranian Adm. Habibollah Sayyari told a gathering of armed forces officials, Reuters reported.

Sayyari said the ships were moved to preserve Iran's territorial integrity in its southern waters, but foreign policy experts are calling it an aggressive move targeted at a Western audience as much as for regional powers like rival Saudi Arabia.

The deployment is "a signal of military strength, resolve and continued defiance to U.S. and U.N. Security Council efforts to end the impasse over Iran's nuclear program," said Jim Phillips, senior fellow for Middle Eastern Affairs at the Heritage Institute.

"What's very important here is the timing of this move — and this naval muscle flexing comes after Iran's missile test earlier this week, which was saber rattling that was meant to send the same signal as this naval dispatch."

Wild Thing's comment........

What a joke we have become, we have North Korea and Iran showing how they can push us around, or at least trying to show the rest of the world.

My friends, oops that's McCain's line, sorry Jonah Mac.
Let's see, I looked last night to see how many UN general assembly resolutions have been passed about Korea since 1945, it was around 57-58, we see how effective their resolutions are, one or two more surely can't hurt. Witness the UN resolutions and the support for Saddam Hussein's regime, witness too the resolve of the international community towards direct threats against them, from Iran, the Norks, and Islam. Now they have what they all want, Americans too, a president and Congress with the back bone to directly bow down and apologize to them for our arrogance. Simon Says - Stop Hitting Me. King's X all you pacifist M'fers!!!

So what are they going to do with 6 ships. Are they inviting an attack probably take all of 30 minutes to dispatch them.

This must be 'berry's' test. This ought to be good.

Iran, N. Korea, Venezuela, and others have made the U. S. in concert with Barry Soetoro (or whoever he is) the laughing stock of the world. WTF is going on. Where is Congress? I guess in bed and sticking their heads up each others butts in a big circle.

The title should say: "Iran sends 6 'warships'to TO BE SENT TO THE BOTTOM of Int. Waters..." == 30 minutes, au contraire, MOMENTS.Mere moments. That's is what they don't realize. We HAVE the ABILITY, but yet 'we' have to be 'provoked', by oh let's say... USS COLE redux or something of a Lives Lost nature.... Oh Wait, this is BARRY we're talking about here, and I see a 'Bubba' Clintoon type response.... as in NOTHING....
