Wild Thing's comment......

Every single one of those that voted for this should be executed for treason. I am fed up with their loathing of our fight against Islam that wants us all dead. NO way are these people NOT informed. No way are they illiterate and don't know any better. This is an agenda of the worst order and it IS against America and our troops.

Today's action by the Democrats and a few Republicans will be interpreted by the mullas as weakness , thus ensuring another major attack in the U.S. These Democrats and the seventeen former Republicans have just voted in the most binding of all ways to cut the heart out of troop morale, to aid our sworn enemies abroad, and to give assistance and comfort to the leftists and Marxists in the Democratic Party, and their Old Media buddies.

As far as I am concerned there are TWO wars, one that our military is fighting against Islam, and the other back here at home....the war against the enemy within. God help us, God help America and God please protect our troops.

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear."- Marcus Tullius Cicero

I thought they weren't going to show their true colors for fear of losing the Presidency in 2008. I guess they really don't support the troops.
And how dare they put the President in such a bind?
Either he doesn't do the expansion or if he does, they'll cut funding. Sounds like blackmail to me.

Yesterday was a bad day. Today is a little better, because I've had time to cool down and think more about what's happened here.

History has shown that when a ruling class is facing extinction, and is on the run from events, it will behave in perverse ways, especially by siding with the country's enemies. They will always find a thug, some slobbering cretin like Murtha to clean the ideological toilets. Why? I don't know. Does anyone? The Democrats fit the description, and Murtha is the fat, despicable goon who wipes their asses. Would anyone with self-respect turn the demented Murtha loose to represent a point of view?

British liberals for years sided with communists and betrayed the West openly and in large numbers. So did American liberals during the same period. The French we know about. The Cold War and the war against fascism was undermined by progressives of all kinds.

Since WWII, the Democrats have controlled Congress for almost fifty of those years. The world that kept them there is gone, and they know it; their Vichy friends in the Republican Party were never on our side anyway, so their betrayal isn't news.

Bush should allow the Constitutional crisis ahead to evolve. This was unexpected, but we simply didn't understand how deeply the cancer of Liberalism was rooted in American government. Nothing has changed, we just see the malignancy, and it's been revealed by the war against Islamism. History will sort this out. Things are changing very fast. This is how democracy works.

Just a bit off topic but look what's happening right here in the United States: Sudden Jihad Syndrome

Posted by: BobF at February 17, 2007 09:45 AM

That quote by Cicero is my favorite, it is entirely appropriate for the times we live in.

WT, I'm sickened by the traitors, especially the 17 you listed, yesterday's vote was important, to the troops, the nation and the Republicans, I'll include the 4 Republicans who didn't vote amongst those 17. They didn't have the guts to take a stand either way so their voting record will appear clean, maybe they think we aren't watching.

Jo Ann Davis (R-VA-1st District)
J. Dennis Hastert, Fourteenth District of Illinois
Charles William Boustany Jr. Louisiana's 7th Congressional Distric
Frank A. LoBiondo, Congressman for the 2nd District of New Jersey

This just makes the field clearer for 2008, McCain can strut like the RINO peacock he is, he'll still not get my vote, I'd rather not vote than have to vote for another Democrat in a Republican suit.

George Bush may not be the best president, but he's head and shoulders above the rest, I might disagree with his domestic policies but I fully support the war on terror and our troops who are fighting that war.

How many more personal Jihads like the Utah Mall shooting will it take to get their undivided attention?

I watched as much of the 'debate' as I could. It wasn't a debate ~ it was a soapbox for the 2008 elections. What gets me shaking my head the most is the 'non-binding' part. A whole week of doing nothing more than undermining the Administration, the troops and Gen. Petraeus and give our enemies a good laugh at our expense. And today the Senate gets in the act.
The weasels don't even have the spine to commit to their own resolution. It's just more damning non-constructive criticism without responsibility.
And I wish they would stop saying they speak for me. They DO NOT!

WASHINGTON, Feb. 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Vietnam veterans will be gathering in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, March 17, 2007, to protect the Vietnam Veterans Memorial (The Wall) and other war memorials from desecration by protesters attending a so-called antiwar rally being held that day adjacent to The Wall. The veterans intend to prevent a recurrence of what happened at a similar event on January 27, 2007, when protesters spray-painted the Capitol and spat on a disabled Iraq vet.

Some of the participants in the anti-war demonstration are well known for their advocacy of peace:

Free Palestine Alliance
· Muslim American Society Freedom Foundation
· Islamic Political Party of America
· FMLN (Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front)
· Islamic-National Congress
· Muslim Student Association

"The flagpole that sits at the opening of the Memorial has the crests of the five branches of service at its base. It is tradition that Marine Corps Vietnam veterans bring brass polish to shine their service's crest, the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor. This is done to show pride in their service. This tradition is not shared by the other branches." (from Wiki)

I am now retired & I've never visited The Wall.
I have a can of Brasso in the garage.

“Come on you sons of bitches, you don’t want to live forever do you?"

I'm completely disgusted. Here we are as a civilization facing a threat far more dangerous than Naziism and it's evil twin communism, and power mad democrats play games with the president over the war in Iraq. This is what happens when a republican president is nice to democrats like Ted Kennedy who was invited to bring his grandchildren, by Bush, to the White house, to watch movies on big-screen TV and eat popcorn. I'm just so sick of liberals and what they have done to this great country. We should be able to have a difference of opinion and yet still agree on self preservation. Yes Wildthing, you are right about what Abraham Lincoln said regarding those anti war democrats - those "copperheads" - who tried to undermine him during the civil war. Our Republican leaders really need to get serious , just as Abraham Lincoln did, and let the chips fall where they may. Enough is enough

Tall tree. Short rope. Traitor. Assembly required.

Lynn, I saw a graphic, yesterday, I forget where it was but it showed the American Flag and under it the writing said....These Colors Don't Run. Then under that writing was the symbol of the Dem party and it said...."But their colors do.".

I agree with you it is like blackmail.

Posted by: Wild Thing at February 17, 2007 11:06 PM

Rhod I agree it was a very hard day, I sat here for a long time trying to figure out how to put into words how I felt and I still couldn't do it.

I agree with you, I knew it was bad but this takes their hate to a whole new low of sickness......"deeply the cancer of Liberalism was rooted in American government."

Posted by: Wild Thing at February 17, 2007 11:08 PM

Bob, thanks for the link. That is surprising that they are calling it what it is for a change. Thanks again.

Posted by: Wild Thing at February 17, 2007 11:09 PM

Jack thank you so much for the other names, I appreciate it. I agree with what you said too about being head and shoulders above those others.

Posted by: Wild Thing at February 17, 2007 11:12 PM

Yankeemom, me too, that makes me so angry when they keep saying " the American people want"...and how they are speaking for me. NO way are they speaking for me either. Thanks Yankeemom.

OINK, this would be an amzing time to visit the Wall, especially if a person could go a day or two ahead of March 17 th. It is an experience that lives with a person forever.

Thanks for your comment. I posted the other day about Gathering of Eagles and this is nice to add to it.

Posted by: Wild Thing at February 17, 2007 11:15 PM

Tincan Sailor, your right, they sold all our finest out and this crime of theirs doing this will go down in history and you and I and millions of others will forget or forgive them.

Posted by: Wild Thing at February 17, 2007 11:17 PM

Hi Hare, nice to meet you. Thank so much for commenting about this. I agree enough is enough.

Posted by: Wild Thing at February 17, 2007 11:18 PM

razOr , good idea.

Posted by: Wild Thing at February 17, 2007 11:22 PM

If President Bush would just call a news conference stating that he has ordered the arrest of these congressional seditionists, and there planned transfer to Gitmo for long term incarceration until they are no longer a threat to the "Safety and Security" of the United States.
I would be eternally in his debt as a patriotic American. And he would earn my vote as the first member of the Ronald Reagan legion of meritorious Presidents. (there probably won't be many Presidents who gain such an honor)

Posted by: Mike B. at February 18, 2007 01:55 AM

Mike, I would love that to happen!!!!! Thank you Mike, just even thinking about it, if it could be so, that President Bush would do exactly makes my heart hurt less.

Posted by: Wild Thing at February 18, 2007 02:51 AM

That's a great idea, Mike!
Ronnie used to get on tv and tell us what he
was going to do, like it or not and he MADE it happen!
