Street Posters In Tehran

A motorcycle passes by a building carrying an anti-United States poster in Tehran, capital of Iran, April 13, 2006. Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Mohamed ElBaladei arrived in Tehran on April 13, amid an escalating crisis over the Iranian nuclear issue.

Wild Thing's comment.......

Nothing like some propaganda on a Sunday drive around Tehran.

I like the one with the Flag raining the bombs down. Nothing like the heavies (B-52, B-1, & B-2) to bring the rain down upon them.

Propaganda was central to Nazi Germany, and the Soviet Union. Daily reminders that the state was in control. Iran is following a time tested formula.

During Stalins reign of terror;

Party line media is the only media after revolution of 1917

Rewrites history books, suddenly Soviet Union had invented everything

Remakes photos each time a leading party member is executed

Every facet of life lined with party information

Toddlers and schoolchildren already brainwashed

Pre-teens and teenagers become "Pioneers" and were influenced as well

Families feared even talking to each other for fear of being announced as an "enemy"

Islam is no different than Stalinism.....
