Iran Just Unveiled A New Piece Of Technology That Makes Obama's Iran Deal Much Scarier....... PHOTOS AT LINK.
Iran’s Mehr News reports that mass-production of a smart torpedo called “Valfajr,” which means “dawn,” began on Tuesday.
The news agency noted that the missiles contain various features including “anti-deception” technology “highly-destructive and explosive warheads with the capability to surprise and completely annihilate and drown targets within seconds.”
The Valfajr, originally unveiled in 2011, has a 485 pound warhead.
Fox News reports that the torpedo operates at high speeds in shallow or deep waters and can be used to sink heavy vessels. However, “Iran occasionally announces production of new weapons, which cannot be independently verified,” according to the news outlet.
Iran’s Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehghan stated that the torpedo’s use is only for defensive purposes. “The Islamic Republic armed forces will only target and open fire on those who intend to attack the country,” he said.
