U.S. Fumbles Iranian Weapons Shipment
Reports have surfaced indicating that during the ongoing negotiations with Iran regarding their nuclear program, they received multiple shipments of advanced missile components and technology from North Korea.
This would be in direct violation of existing UN sanctions.
However, that’s not the worst of it. The reports also indicate that the U.S. was not only aware of the shipments, but apparently took action to keep the UN from finding out about them.
According to one report, “U.S. President Obama was given details during his “daily intelligence briefing…. but the information was hidden from the UN by the White House so it would not take action on the sanctions violations.”
Reports such as this provide suggest that President Obama that protecting the security of the United States is nowhere to be found on his list of daily activities.
For years Iran has referred to the U.S. as the “Great Satan.” While celebrating “Army Day”, there were trucks carrying banners, and shouts from huge crowds which included “death to Israel, death to America.”
Iran is the world’s foremost sponsor of terrorism. Their agenda is to export their fundamentalist Islamic revolution throughout the Middle East, and the rest of the globe. Their actions, whether covert, diplomatic, military, or economic, are all designed to counter American interests.
Yet, in spite of Iran’s constant vilification, the Obama administration has reacted by backing away from sanctions, and releasing huge amounts of frozen Iranian assets. Some reports suggest as much as $2.5 billion has been released.
As for the reports about North Korean shipments to Iran which are a direct violation of UN sanctions, this is not a matter that should be ignored. If said reports are true the U.S. has in essence become the ‘wing man’ for Iran. In other words the U.S. acted to protect Iran’s best interest.
This is precisely the opposite of the primary duty of someone in the position of president. Mr. Obama has not only abrogated his duty as commander-in-chief, he has acted in a manner which requires public outcry.
