Charles Krauthammer: Harry Reid ‘Detached From Reality,’ Wonders If He’s On His Medication
Krauthammer speculated on Reid’s mental health on “Special Report with Bret Baier” Tuesday night.
The panel, including Baier and Fox News contributor Mara Liasson, was discussing the influx of illegal immigrants — mostly women and children — flooding over the southern border.
Liasson explained that President Obama has always said he “wanted the flexibility to treat kids from Central America the same as Mexico” but never explicitly asked Congress to change the Bush-era 2008 sex trafficking law.
“He wanted Congress to go first,” she said. “People in the base of the Democratic party don’t want this law changed, don’t want these kids sent home faster.”
Liasson brought up the large amount of Hondurans — 15 percent — who are in the U.S. illegally who can no longer cross the border into Mexico because border security is tighter.
“The number of Hondurans who are here, mostly illegally, who can’t go back and forth anymore, because the border actually is a little tighter, that’s also a magnet for these kids.”
That’s when Krauthammer pounced.
“When you get Harry Reid saying the border is secure.”
“Definitively,” Baier cut in.
“You’ve got to wonder, you know, whether he’s really on his medication or not.”
Krauthammer didn’t stop there.
“I mean that’s so detached from reality,” he declared. “How many [children] do we have now? 60,000 at least? And we’re completely helpless. And it’s the helplessness that I think is driving the president and the Democrats to accept” changing the law.

Harry Reid is a disgrace to Nevada and America. I would think people in Nevada are better than this but I'm really starting to wonder.
