California Ordered To Release 10,000 Criminals Onto The Streets

U.S. Supreme Court Will Not Delay Release of 10,000 Prisoners in California

California Ordered To Release 10,000 Criminals Onto The Streets

On August 2 the U.S. Supreme Court refused California Governor Jerry Brown’s (D) emergency request to halt the release of inmates from that state’s prison system.

This means the June order for Brown to release approximately 10,000 prisoners stands and Brown is expected to comply.

According to the AP, Brown and his attorneys fought this order believing compliance with it will include the release of “violent criminals and overwhelm the abilities of law enforcement and social services to monitor” the newly released prisoners.

Attorneys for the state of California pointed out that no state has ever released such a large number of prisoners at once, and that “no data suggests that a sudden release of inmates with [violent] characteristics can be done safely.”

Justices Samuel Alito, Antonin Scalia, and Clarence Thomas dissented from the court’s decision. All three said they would have “granted the state’s request” to halt the release of prisoners.

I am so glad we moved out of California. It wil allways be a truly beautiful State but even the beauty of the land and mountains.ocean and landscape are not enough when one has to deal with the left that has taken over the State.

I was stationed in San Bernardino in the late 70's and loved it. Today I speak with people that are from that area and am told the crime is so bad in that area, nothing is safe. I looked on Google Maps of the apartment complex I used to live in. It was a beautiful area for adults only. Today, the complex is walled in and there are bars on all the windows. People who move from that area now call it San Burnaghetto. A beautiful city down the toilet.

These 10,000 criminals are actually a drop in the bucket when you consider the millions already in California which came here illegally from Mexico and other areas. Jerry Brown and others like him set the wheels in motion long ago for this criminal utopia and now chickens have come home to roost.

In 1969/70 I attended Army language school at the Presidio of Monterey, California. Stunningly beautiful environment and most locals were very friendly. There was plenty of antiwar activity in that part of California but it did not overshadow the decency and openess of 95% of the Californians I met.

I notice another relative point in this article. Chief SCOTUS Roberts did not dissent from the majority vote. He is showing himself to NOT be the conservative we were led to believe he was. Since the obamacare vote I have considered the SCOTUS to be a leftist cause just like the Senate and WH.
