Disgusting and out of control MSNBC says Your Children do not belong to you, but to the Government

“We have to Break through our kind of Private Idea that Kids Belong to their Parents, or. . . to their Families”

If you want a glimpse of where the Left wants to take America and the family, here it is. In one of MSNBC’s bizarre Leftist promos, Melissa Harris-Perry pushes the notion that children really do not belong to their parents – they belong to “whole communities.”

“We have never invested as much in public education as we should have because we’ve always had kind of a private notion of children – ‘Your kid is yours, and totally your responsibility.’ We haven’t had a very collective notion that these are our children. So part of it is we have to break through our kind of private idea that kids belong to their parents, or kids belong to their families, and recognize that kids belong to whole communities.”

It sounds like something right out of Karl Marx and the former Soviet Union – “a very collective notion”? You’ve got to be kidding? But, they are not. I want to see Democrats up for re-election in 2014 run on the platform that your children are not really yours. If we keep electing Democrats in America, this is our future. It’s as simple as that. The Democratic Party is no longer the party of Harry Truman or John F. Kennedy.

Wild Thing's comment.................

One day if people do not start to fight back and I mean parents and all of us when the left says such outrageous things, every one of their insane ideas will happen.

Have any of you noticed how ever since Obama became president his first term the left has gone from 0 to 60 in expressing and demanding their HUGE government control over our lives and the rest of their agenda.

Instead of these talking head republicans going on one TV talk show one after the other to bash how bad they think the republican party is, they should be going on these shows and laying into the left for the outrageous things they say and want to do. !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually the State of Michigan has said that for decades. Back in the late 80's when I was stationed there, there was a court case involving a church/home schools vs the NEA and Michigan over certification of teachers. In court, Michigan stated that children are a "resource of the state" and therefore the state has full control over their education. There eventually was a compromise worked out and when Governor Engler became governor, he strongly supported church/home schools. My wife was involved with this fight and it was an eye opener on how the state viewed our children and parental rights.

The same mentality as "it takes a village". The govt. is giving lazy adults the excuse to be irresponsible or absent parents. We already see this in many dysfunctional Black communities.
