Herman Cain's Communications Director Resigns

FOX News

Herman Cain's campaign communications director has announced her resignation, Fox News confirms.

Ellen Carmichael, who has spent over a year working for Cain, said that her departure is a personal decision about her career.

"I think my leaving now is a reflection on my earnestness to leave rather than a reflection of the campaign," she said.

"I'm still very fond of him," said Carmichael, adding that there is no tension or disagreement over the departure.

"I'm honored to have worked for someone with such character and decency," said Carmichael.

Following the news of her departure Cain's campaign issued the following statement, "Ms. Carmichael decided to pursue other opportunities. We appreciate her service to the campaign."

Her departure comes just as a recent Fox News poll shows Cain jumping into the top tier of GOP presidential candidates.

Carmichael's assistant Francis Boustany is also leaving, and J.D. Gordon will take over as campaign spokesman.

Here is something below I need to show you all on a need to know...... because Obama and the left know about this and it could show up in anti-Cain ads in the future or he may even be asked about it on the political talk shows. ~ Wild Thing

A Real Reason To Be Mad At Herman Cain

Atlanta Post

......A business scandal that so closely mirrors the travesty at Enron....

“Herman Cain’s Enron-esque Disaster: The Story the GOP presidential candidate won’t tell you about his years in corporate America.”

According to a massive class action lawsuit against Aquila’s board of directors – including Cain – he allegedly steered employees into heavily investing their retirement savings in company stock, while at the same time shifting their business model from straightforward energy generation to risky energy trading – the kind of corporate greed that infamously brought down Enron. In the suit, it claims that Cain and other top officials violated a 37-year-old federal law that requires employers to responsibly manage the retirement programs for their employees. Their pensions and life savings were lost.

Unfortunately or on purpose, "scrubbed from Cain’s official story is his long tenure as a director at a Midwest energy corporation named Aquila that, like the infamous Enron Corporation, recklessly drove into the wild west of energy trading and speculation – and ultimately screwed its employees out of tens of millions of dollars,”

Wild Thing's comment......

This about Cain and Aquila is information that needs to be known, the left sure as heck knows this information and they have already been posting about it. I would even feel better about Cain if he had been honest and put this information at his website, facts and nothing more. But the truth all the same. That bothers me more that what happened and it being like ENRON. Just be honest with us, and no surprises. Why hide it, that is not right.

Perry's life is an open book for all to know about his decisions good or bad and it is left up to us to decide.

I like Herman Cain a lot. However, if these allegations are true and Cain was part of a company cartel that lied to their employees/investors, then Cain needs to be culled from the GOP slate of presidential candidates. I guess we will just have to see how this plays out. Hopefully it is just a false alarm.

Tom. I feel the same way. I just don't want people to not vett and Perry sure has been vetted almost to the point of obsession by the rinos and left.

Like you said we will see how it plays out.
