Gore Lauds Romney On Climate Position ~ Political Death By Global Warming

Gore Lauds Romney On Climate Position

The Hill

Former Vice President Al Gore on Wednesday praised GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney for his acknowledgement of global climate change.

Gore, who has championed climate issues since losing the 2000 presidential race, posted a note on his blog that praised Romney for being consistent on his position that humans have contributed to rising global temperatures.

"Good for Mitt Romney — though we've long passed the point where weak lip-service is enough on the Climate Crisis," Gore wrote. "While other Republicans are running from the truth, he is sticking to his guns in the face of the anti-science wing of the Republican Party."

Gore's message could further provoke conservatives, some of whom objected last week after Romney reiterated his position at a town-hall meeting in New Hampshire.

“Bye-bye, nomination,” conservative talker Rush Limbaugh said on his radio last Tuesday, The Washington Post noted.

President Obama and other Democrats have also named the healthcare reforms Romney sought as Massachusetts governor as a template for the new national healthcare law.

But as Gore suggested, Romney and he disagree over how to fix the problem. Gore favors a cap-and-trade energy policy whereas Romney opposes one.

“We don’t call it ‘America warming,’" Romney said, according to the Post. “We call it ‘global warming.’"

Romney initially favored a regional cap-and-trade program as governor, but eventually pulled Massachusetts out of the agreement over economic concerns.

Gore offered Romney similar praise last year after the former Massachusetts governor reiterated his position in his memoir, No Apology.

Wild Thing's comment......

So far Mitt Romney has the Obama endorsement, the Gore endorsement, and the Rove endorsement.

Let’s see, so far:

- Obama lauds Romney on Romney Care
- Gore lauds Romney on Global Warming hoax
- Rove Mitt Romney won debate this last Monday night.

“Mitt Romney came in as the frontrunner and came out of the debate without any major mistakes and looking presidential,” Karl Rove said. In Romney’s discussion of the current state of the U.S. economy, Rove says the former governor inserted the second best quote of the evening, saying that “President Obama has failed America.”

We sure need a conservative candidate. But where do we find him/her...Hmmmm...He should first be a Conservative, then he should be faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a Locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound...Ahh those were the days, when America came first.

I still go my 'I like IKE' buton.

Use my following 'MARK TWAIN' logic with libtards:

In reference to supposed GLOBAL WARMING tell them that when it comes down to Leftardos 'R Us logic, when it doesn't snow in the winter it's because of global warming, and when it does snow during the winter it's because of global warming, so they think they win both ways, eh? That was a heck of a LONG sentence and one snow job topic!

The saddest thing about all of this is, the RINO elitists, that make up the RNC, see Mitt Romney, as the best candidate.

If he were nominated, Obama would win in a landlide comparable to Reagan vs Mondale. I know that I would have a very difficult time voting for this Political has been.

17 months to go. We True Conservatives have a lot of work ahead of this, if we hope to head off the disaster the RNC wants to present us with.

Mark, oh my gosh, I have one of the 'I like IKE' butons too. How funny is that. My Dad gave it too me when I was a little kid and I have kept it ever since.
