Obama Campaign Hawks Birth Certificate T-Shirt, Campaign Claims Its A “Mobile Version” of Truth Squad to Refute Birther Book

Obama’s 2012 presidential campaign today started selling “Made in the USA” t-shirts featuring images of both President Obama and the long-form birth certificate he released copies of last month.

“Wear your support for this campaign with an official Made in the USA T-shirt,” his website advertises. Donate $25 or more today and we'll send you your limited-edition shirt.

Coffee-mugs are also available.

“Remember ‘fight the smears’ from the 2008 campaign?” asked campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt. “This is the mobile version of it.”

“Fight the Smears” was an Obama campaign website from 2008 that attempted to refute untruths about the campaign, such as the claim that then-Sen. Obama was a Muslim.

Part of the reason for the shirts, a campaign official told ABC News, is that despite the president’s release last month of his long-form birth certificate, conservative fact-challenged author Jerome Corsi’s book “Where's the Birth Certificate?: The Case that Barack Obama is not Eligible to be President” was published this week.

Selling products featuring the long-form birth certificate might be a risk for the campaign, given how seriously the president and many of his top aides have objected to the birther lie, some suggesting that it is in no small part a racist way to make the president seem “other.” Merchandise featuring the birth certificate could be seen as trivializing those concerns, or even crassly exploiting them to raise campaign cash.

It's out! The book that proves Obama's ineligible

Today's ( May 17th 2011 ) the day Corsi is unleashed to tell all about that 'birth certificate'

Jerome Corsi's blockbuster making the case that Barack Obama is ineligible for the presidency hits bookstore shelves across the nation today – a day on which Corsi is turned loose to tell Americans what he has discovered about what he claims is a fraudulent birth certificate released in desperation to hush widespread public concern about Obama's constitutional qualifications for office.

"With the unprecedented success of this book several weeks ago, reaching No. 1 at Amazon, I fully expected Obama, in desperation, to release a fraudulent document – and that's exactly what he did," said Corsi. "I was warned by excellent sources it was coming. And it's not even a good forgery. I am prepared to tell all beginning today – not only about the birth certificate, but also to explain why even a birth on U.S. soil could not possibly qualify Obama for the presidency as a natural born citizen."

Corsi says Obama has now boxed himself in with the release of the fraudulent birth certificate and will be forced to live with the results.

"I'm going to be telling the entire world about this scandal over the next few weeks," said Corsi. "This is going to make Watergate look like a political sideshow by comparison."

Wild Thing's comment........

Bwahahahaha...

It proves that they are still scared of this issue blowing up in their faces.

Hahahahahahaha

Fake black man. Fake Messiah. Fake American.

Obama and the MSM push this the day after Corsi’s book. If they think the book is a joke, then why do they need to rollout this pr machine to attempt to make a joke of the issue and Corsi’s book? LOL

LOL....T-shirt says "Made in the USA"....So why it doesn’t say BORN in the USA? heh heh ha ha ho ho
Could it be because it's referring to the fraudulent birth certificate??

The short form certificate, although insufficient, was at least believable. The long form certificate was so obviously photoshopped that there really ought to be perjury lawsuits filed.

....will the shirts appear to be "pieced together" the way the B.C. images appear? Is this the basis of his campaign -" I really WAS born here (this time I'm being hones' wit' ya!) and you are a racist and a moron if you harbor any doubts and "I killed O.B.L." (I voted FOR killing O.B.L. after I voted AGAINST it)? Will the re-election campain be all about painting the opposition as ignorant and cowardly? His campaign song should be " NANA NA NANA NA" With economy on the skids can Dear Leader show us a barnfull of s#$t and convince us that we are smelling roses? If this strategy gets Barry re-elected, G*d help us all....

IGnatius T Foobar, good point. It is so funny how it worked out like that. If they only would see we are not stupid, or maybe they do and just are used to getting away with their lies.
