LOL Big oops!

Typos are not uncommon online, I do too many of them, that's for sure. But I can promise you, if I was making a sign and if I was a teacher oh my gosh I sure as heck would make sure to double check my spelling. I have to wonder if they actually thought they were spelling these mistakes correctly. Because they are Union and imo that does not mean they are the best if they were then why are there so many children that cannot spell or even read in the 8th grade or highschool.

What Americans are beginning to realize now, is these Government Unions are in conflict with WE the People, they are against the TaxPayer.

As Teachers they should know there is no free lunch, when the cash cow has died there is no more milk to be had. We are borke and they can't admit to that.

Collective barganing is not an option for government Unions. FDR said it, and so did George Sweeney they knew better but we have now inherited this entitlement mentality and these unions feel somehow they are entitled.

It is amazing what America's former one room schoolhouses turned out in the early 20th century compared to what the schools are failing to turn out today. The amount of money being blindly thrown at education should be producing the best educated students in the world. Instead we have the most staffed schools. When Jimmy Carter created the Dept. of Education that was the death knell of quality. The Federal Govt. has taken over what had previously worked under state/local control and burdened education with socialist ideas and agenda. Teachers' unions just add to this burden.

Obviously a product of our public education.

There are excellent Teachers, really good Teachers and the ones who do it for a job with good vacations
and benefits. Speaking of benefits, the Teachers pay for those each and every month. They have their money invested by the finance committee into mutual funds so as the Market goes so goes their retirement. Their medical plan can be iffy depending on how well the negotiations come out with such
Blue cross and others, plain facts it can be a load of crap..Upon retirement you have a choice of plans
and it’s the same deal you pay.

Now then Teachers take the heat for the state of our education and nothing could be further from the truth. They have many so called bosses. It starts with the state board of education and trickles down through the district superintendent to the school board and school principal..and because of the idiotic No child left behind
The oversight, indecisions by all of the above you have a mess. That is why private schools and Charter
schools have waiting list to get in

Charter and private schools have an edge. One they are not tied to No child left behind, there are no discipline problems (mess up and your
Gone) there is 100% parent involvement (mandatory) They are there to learn if they can’t cut it, once
Again they are history. Dress code, period!! No fowl or profane language on school grounds, same deal
A couple of black marks, History. Results, a well educated child .

I’m married to a wonderful woman who taught in 2 public schools for26 years and has witnessed the change in her and the whole education
System especially since “ EVERY CHILD LEFT BEHIND “ was passed. In her time she Graduated Summa
Cum Laude with a Masters in Education. She was Teacher of the year more than once and a senior mentor. I have seen firsthand how parents and children reacted to her teaching and how years after a
Child was long gone she would receive thank you cards for how she taught and prepared them for High
School..One thing she impressed upon me was a school is only as good as the Parent involvement. With
A strong parent club the school will listen and react..

Criticism is good and needed but
Most critics are quick to blame Teachers.. I say most critics wouldn’t last a week in the classroom be it
Screaming Second Graders or Seventh graders eating in class , texting in class and telling the Teacher to Go F**k Off….

If the Students are doing what the want to do in class then who's in charge,(use to be they were sent to the principals office and he dealt with the problem, ala corporal punishment), the students or the Teacher. It has gotten to the point all the teacher cares about is his tenure and the students be damned. There are some good teachers there but all too often they are corrupted by the Unions and other teachers that don't really much care, they collect their 80,000 a year, Actually 9 months and to hell with anything else.

Teachers should be required to take a proficiency test in order to qualify, especially in larger cities where the quality seems to go way down. Their teaching certificates should be up for remewal every 3 years like any other trade. And the arrogant attitude has got to go. Every time I went to a parent teacher conference, I called them by their first name, amazing how that attitude disappears.

This is why, there should be no collective bargaining with a state run union. The Taxpayers are paying their salaries and their pension and Health Care, this is pure BS. We are broke, it is that simple.

First and foremost I don’t know what gives with the Dbl.Post. That out of the way, my wife never attended a Union meeting in her 26 years as a Teacher. Parents yes Parents they are to instill in
Their children the basics, Reading, Numbers, manners and Respect. In ever increasing numbers
Those Quality’s and lacking so right off they have to play catch up. Can’t blame Teachers for that.

Now here are a few little items that
One can’t blame the Teachers for.. Social promotions (the promotion of students with failing or poor grades) don’t want the little dears self esteem stepped on. The same goes for the old ABCDF Can’t
Use those any more now it’s 1234 and God forbid you use a red check mark on a test paper.. Now
Here is the real kicker Girls are blowing the socks off boys from elementary school through College
Boy are dumbing themselves down with Video Games and other electronic toys and it shows.

Here in Idaho the top Teacher salary
Is 44,000 pretty poor pay for a college graduate.. My wife made 74,000 a year as a Teacher in California
And she held a Masters degree with 70 additional units. My wife went into the class room at 7:00 am
And usually got home around 5:30 or 6:00. Why?? Because she loved to teach no other reason. She said
Sure the money was good but money isn’t satisfaction or pride in a job well done that is another thing
Missing from today’s society. Pride and satisfaction in a job well done.

Now then about sending a student to
the principal’s office, sorry to say in many schools it’s a waste of time. And from the seventh grade on
the students have a mouth you wouldn’t believe and some of the girls come dressed like Hookers. All of
this last section lays right in the parents lap of all the things Schools should be they are not daycare or
babysitters. There are a few place’s you won’t find the disturbances mentioned Charter schools Private
schools and Gifted and talented classrooms. They come to be educated no to play clutch butt and most
all of the screw ups are sent packing.. I have a question, how many Teachers would the 3.5 million per
day 365 you the taxpayer are sending to Egypt pay…
