League of Women Voters Try to Stop Pledge of Allegiance at Debate

Illinois crowd spontaneously rising to their feet to say the Pledge of Allegiance, even though the League of Women Voters’ Moderator had said they had no plan to do so. A man calls for a point of order to ask the moderator if they are going to say the Pledge, to which the moderator said, “No we are not.” As the moderator tried to explain why they would not be saying the Pledge – the crowd rose to their feet and began saying the Pledge!

Republican Joe Walsh – candidate for Illinois’ 8th Congressional District – says in the video that this was the best part of the entire forum! He is opposing incumbent Democrat Rep. Melissa Bean.

God bless these people for doing this. It brought tears to my eyes.

The jerk woman says she has nothing for or against doing something like this. WTH is that FOR or AGAINST! SHEESH If she is an American she should ONLY be FOR doing something like this.

Americans are getting fed up with the anti-American left.

We will see in ten days how much steam traditional America has at the polls. If the Democrats do not suffer heavy losses, then America has changed from it's original constitutional course and is just another Euro styled socialist country.

Tom I hope you are wrong, but I too have some reservations.

I would like to have seen if the Rep. Melissa Bean stood with the rest of them and recited the Pledge.

Seeing and hearing this reminds me of the picture taken in New Mexico, during the 2008 Campaign. Hillary and Bill Richardson are shown with hands over hearts as the Pledge is being said, while the future President is standing with his hands folded.

The fact that he was allowed to get away with that without a huge Media outcry, speaks volumes of the Government control of the Press in this Country.

The Democratic Party and many of it's Candidates are not in any way interested in the History and Traditions of this Country. They only see, those things, as being passe' and a detriment to the message they are trying to convey.

I love you all, thank you for coming here and your friendship.
We live in some shocking and bad times right now. There are good things in our lives but politically and our country is at a turning point. I hope and pray we can turn this nightmare around and save our beloved America.
