Today Obama to Field Questions Posted by YouTube Users

People can ask Obama questions. Interview Barack Obama and get an immediate response to your questions. InterviewBarack.com is a question and answer forum that allows anyone to ask president Obama anything. You Tube users have the opportunity to see Barack and answer his questions.

The New York Times

Today Obama is scheduled to sit down in the library of the White House residence for his first interview since his State of the Union address.

The interviewer? The United States of YouTube

In a first-of-its-kind group interview, Mr. Obama will read and watch questions submitted by YouTube users and answer them in a live Webcast.

“It’s a way to give people access to the president that feels more participatory,” said Macon Phillips, the Obama administration’s director of new media.

The Webcast is also an example of the White House trying to bypass the traditional media, coming at a time when Mr. Obama is looking to regain popular support after a drop in the polls and the loss of a Senate seat in Massachusetts that cost Democrats their supermajority.

White House aides say the videos and Webcasts are a powerful “force multiplier” for the administration’s persuasion efforts, even though the audience for a typical YouTube video is in the thousands, rather than the millions that a presidential event draws on television. The cumulative effect, they say, is critically important.

It is scheduled to begin at 1:45 p.m. Eastern time.

Wild Thing's comment.......

Does anyone in their right mind think he'll take on questions that are difficult and probing?

They will of course cherry pick a bunch of softballs. This is one of Axelgreasy’s favorite scams.

The man is joke. He wouldn’t last two minutes if he had to face a hostile media like Bush had to constantly.

The idiot couldn’t handle “Joe the Plumber” without denigrating him on the national stage in his next presence.

We know for a fact their won't be any difficult questions. You can almost bet all questions picked are those provided by the administration and they will deal with furthering his agenda.

Another dog and pony show, for the useful idiots, and the leftist losers, who can't exist on their own.

LOL Funny this was news on the internet but I didn't see anything about it on TV. But I was at work at the gym most of the day so only could watch the TV there off and on.

I agree about it being a dog and phony show Mark.

And Bob, your right they would never let him get hard tuff questions, no way.

Thank you everyone so much.
