JD Hayworth Kicks Off Campaign

Arizona Republican J.D. Hayworth announcing his candidacy for the United States Senate, opposing longtime Sen. John McCain.

Former congressman and radio talk show host J.D. Hayworth formally announced today that he will take on Arizona Sen. John McCain in the state's Republican primary -- handing the 2008 presidential nominee what could be his toughest re-election challenge in years.

Hayworth is one of several insurgent GOP candidates running against established figures across the country.

Wild Thing's comment........

McCain couldn’t speak a negative word against Obama, but he sure was rippin Hayworth, even before he ran.

JD is very pro Sheriff Joe Arpaio. McCain supported supported amnesty and cap-and-trade legislation.

The sad thing is Sarah Palin is supporting McCain in this primary. She's loosing a lot of support over this.

Hayworth is the real deal.
Given the mood of the Country and Arizona in particular I would say that He has a good chance of winning.
As for the fact that Palin is supporting McCain, I believe that news came out before Hayworth entered the race. If you are basing your lack of supportr for her on this issue then you probably aren't very supportive of her to begin with, and are looking for an excuse.

McCain has to be very worried. He knows the mood of the Repub base is anger toward him. It would be nice to see him defeated by a real conservative.

I believe Sarah Palin is fulfilling an obligation by supporting McCain. It is a dirty part of politics. I don't like her choice, but I still support her.

Sarah Palin figures she owes McCain, so that's a dead issue, it could hurt her too.

McCain is a progressive just like his daughter said on Larry King, she and her father are closer to obama than one could imagine.

Like that fat bastard Michael Moors said, "If the democrats can't get it done we'll get republicans to do it." Talking about 'their' progressive agenda.

This crap has been going on for almost a 100 years, it will take everything we have to fight back and win.

Only a third of that Stimulus has been spent. In 1934, FDR had a similar situation and weeks before the election the democrats poured Millions into losing districts. Don't think for a minute that 74 years is lost on obama, he intends to do the same thing with the balance of that sitmulus.
The difference, is modern technology, the internet and Cable news stations like FOX, Rush and so on.

We got a fight on our hands and it will take everyone of us to win this thing. But win we shall.
