CNN, Huffington Post Urge Violence Against Republicans

Big Government

Two of the most popular liberal news sites are calling for violence against Republicans for obstructing the radical agenda of President Barack Obama.

CNN and Huffington Post have each published op-eds this past week by regular contributors with headlines that explicitly call for Obama to use violent gangland tactics against his political opponents.

CNN published a column by Roland Martin on February 11 with the headline, Time for Obama to go ‘gangsta’ on GOP.

Martin concluded the article with a plea for Obama to emulate the violent tactics of the Prohibition-era Chicago mob boss Al Capone.

Obama’s critics keep blasting him for Chicago-style politics. So, fine. Channel your inner Al Capone and go gangsta against your foes. Let ‘em know that if they aren’t with you, they are against you, and will pay the price.

The Huffington Post followed-up with their own call for gangland violence against Republicans with the publication on February 14 of a column by David Bourgeois with the title, Obama Better Start Breaking Kneecaps.

Bourgeois concludes his article with this call for gangland violence.

You’ve given it your best shot, you’ve tried numerous times to talk with the Republicans, to negotiate, to meet them halfway on every single matter before the American people. But they hate you for many reasons. It’s time you break kneecaps (bold in original). It’s time to destroy the Republican Party. They don’t deserve a seat at the table when all they want to do is score political points by being the Party of No.

In case the message wasn’t clear, Huffington Post illustrated the call to violence with a wooden baseball bat with Obama’s first name on it in large letters.

Huffington Post publisher Arianna Huffington recently excoriated Fox News chief Roger Ailes for allegedly provocative rhetoric by Fox host Glenn Beck.

HUFFINGTON: Well, Roger, it’s not a question of picking a fight. And aren’t you concerned about the language that Glenn Beck is using, which is, after all, inciting the American people? There is a lot of suffering out there, as you know, and when he talks about people being slaughtered, about who is going to be the next in the killing spree…

…It’s not about the word police. It’s about something deeper. It’s about the fact that there is a tradition as the historian Richard Hofstetter said, in American politics, of the paranoid style. And the paranoid style is dangerous when there is real pain out there.

Ailes defended Beck, saying he was accurately talking about the governments of Hitler and Stalin.

Violent rhetoric such as that espoused by CNN and the Huffington Post is usually found in the bowels of Internet discussion forums, not as sanctioned op-ed headlines on news sites with White House press passes.

CNN and Huffington Post would be well-advised to retract the calls to violence and issue apologies to Republicans before Obama supporters are incited by their violent rhetoric and start going gangsta and break kneecaps of Republicans.

If they won’t do that of their own volition, then White House press secretary Robert Gibbs should shame them into doing so. Surely the Obama administration does not countenance violence against their domestic political opponents.

Wild Thing's comment.......

Liberals are idiots. They aren’t worried about conservatives being armed, because they believe that since they are “in charge” the police and military are theirs to direct.

They are in for a rude surprise if they ever push it to violence. They had better make sure they are prepared for when the Communists decide to throw us all against a wall.

From this article above and the one it links to by Roland Martin it also means any physical violence against republicans can now be blamed on cnn/huffington post for inciting physical violence

Liberalism has always been about violence. All we are seeing now is disappointment and fear of defeat after the elation of Obamao’s victory. It was hug, hug, kiss, kiss, and join us as we destroy America, but now its about jobs and debt, insane spending, big government and power hungry tyrants. They want the revolutionary Obamao, their Hitler or Castro, their Mugabe.

If you look at the history of the 20th Century, many more people died at the hands of Leftist governments in democides than died in the military fighting wars.

20th Century Democides

Conservatives realize this, too. That’s partially why there was the unprecedented purchasing of firearms and ammunition for the last 16 months.

Sad, very sad. Roland Martin and Arianna Huffington ought to be tried for treason. They don't realize that Obama is doing major damage to this nation because they choose not to see it. There has to be a voice of reason and it's not coming from the liberal side of the peanut gallery. If they truly cared about people, they would be finding ways to get people off the public dole and creating jobs that pay more than $10 an hour, which amounts to less than minimum wage after you take out the insurance and the taxes!

My response to these commie stooges is " BRING IT ON DOG LIPS, YOU'RE GONNA GET A SERIOUS ASS WHOOPIN."

Gun sales are off the wall; ammunition shelves are cleared out daily. Let the goon squads come...we're waiting for them.

Advocating violence to deny people their Constitutional rights, now that crosses the line... puts Democrats in the same league as the KKK, Communists, neo-Nazis, etc. To "preserve and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic," I believe the oath military people take reads. ("A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed," says the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution, too.)

Again, I'm not surprised. The end justifies the means, for these people. And since THEY know better than anybody else and want to save everyone else, protect democracy, environment, the world et cetera, the "others" are not just wrong but Evil..
That's how these leftist elitists roll...

Hey everybody does know that the KKK was the paramilitary wing of the Democratic Party.
While the lynchings started right after the Civil War the KKK lynched only registered Republicans, one in every twelve a white, until 1876.
They finally lynched an unregistered black man for selling his cotton crop at less than the KKK set price.

Twenty years after the Civil War the availability of repeating rifles finally made it too dangerous for Democrats to lynch white Republicans. Unconstitutional gun control made it safe for the liberals attacking black Republicans for another fifty years or so.

What don't these people understand ? Are they that stupid that they can't see the democrats have the majority in both houses and dickhead in the whitehouse. Still they blame the Republicans and Bush and get away with it.

Now they're going to break our legs, I don't think so, they try it and its time to 'Rock and Roll'.

The left is certainly more prone to violence than is the right---one need only look at protest by the right and protest by the left, two different worlds. However, if things really ever get out of hand those on the left would be in for a very rude awakening.

All I got to say is bring it on baby... I'm hankering for a lesson.

Eddie's right on.

Bring on the violence, Leftys. Never mind YOU twits have given up your second ammendment rights. Be it large bore firearms, Kabars, baseball bats or tire irons, I'd gladly meet the dimocraps in the street once and for all. Let the losers be hanged and left for the crows.

Received my Military Grade 12 ga 00 buck from Cabellas on Monday but they won't receive the 9mm I ordered at their location until 3/15. Regardless, I still have enough to take care of some SEIU pukes if they wanna play.

Oh and thanks Billy Ray, we have a lot in common. Just ask Gothguy.
