Ed Koch: I Campaigned For Obama But His Response To The Christmas Day Attack Was Terrible

Ed Koch: I campaigned for Obama but his response to the Christmas day attack was terrible

Video of former New York Mayor Ed Koch - a Democrat - on with Neil Cavuto today where he blasted the attitude of the Obama Administration toward the "War on Terror," saying Obama is afraid to call our enemy "Muslim Islamist Terrorists." Koch said while the vast majority of the world's Muslims are not in agreement with Al-Qaeda, the fact is that "hundreds of millions are."

Koch said the Muslim Islamists want to "kill every Christian, every Jew, every Hindu who won't covert - and we ought to put it on the table."

Koch said he is in agreement with the need to "profile" in order to protect the nation. He hammered Obama for his reaction to the Christmas Day terror attack, and said he thinks Democrats are in big trouble this November:

"I believe frankly that the pending election could be a tsunami for Democrats."

Wild Thing's comment........

Good for Koch speaking up.

BUT I have to point this out.........

Koch said while the vast majority of the world's Muslims are not in agreement with Al-Qaeda

I am so sick of this line. Time and time again we have read about so called moderate Muslims that behead their wives, kill their daughters etc. There are no moderate Muslims, and also they do NOT want to put America before Islam when they live in our country. We have read that as well over and over again.

Koch said he got a call from the White House complaining about his criticism. He refused to tell Cavuto exactly who called him. I wonder if it was Rahm Emmanuel.

He was one of many who deserted the Dems in ‘04 and either endorsed Bush or at least failed to support Kerry because they thought he was too soft. But then in 2008 Koch and others campaigned and voted for Marxist Obama. Go figrue sheesh!

At least Koch labeled the terrorist correctly, muslim islamists. That is more than almost anyone else in politics has done. Even Bush only referred to their muslim roots once or twice.

I hope Koch is correct about the election tsunami.

If there are any moderate muslims they certainly keep a low profile. I will bet it was Rham Emanual, one Jew to another. But Koch supports Israel not a lacky like emanual.

I've known moderate and civilized Muslims, but something I've never understood is why prominent Arab Muslims leaders are never held to account and called on the carpet for not simply coming out and declaring as reprehensible, publicly condemning, and isolating these violent and evil extremists within their community that bring such havoc on the rest of the civilized world. Why is that ? Why can't they police their own ?

Ours is a nation and a culture long and well established on Judaea-Christian values. That bothers some throughout the world, worst of all some right here with us, revisionist Americans who'd rather appease to the terrorists, their enablers and apologists than stand our ground as well we should.

Tom, he sure did. He goes hot and cold with doing
and saying the right thing. I hope he is right too about the election.

Mark,I bet your right about Rham.
