U.S. Army Paratroopers Call In A-10 Gun Run In Korengal Valley


U.S. Army Paratroopers from 2nd Battalion (Airborne), 503rd Infantry Regiment, "The Rock", 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, call in an A-10 Warthog to engage Insurgent position with 30mm gatling gun in Korengal valley, Afghanistan.

I agree Mark. Just think if our gunships could have stood off half a click or more and delivered their firepower. I'm glad our guys and gals now have this modern technology that cuts down on friendly casualties.

Of course, they don't get to see A1Es swooping down in a vertical dive or a helicopter gunship at treetop level, or lower, with two crazy doorgunners hanging on the skids.
