Socialist Democrat Sen Michael Bennet: 'I'll Risk My Job For Health Reform'

Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet on CNN saying that he will support the Health Care Bill even if it means that he will lose his re-election bid next year.

Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.) said Sunday that he will vote for landmark health care reform legislation even if it means he will be defeated at the polls next November.

"If you get to the final point and you are a critical vote for health care reform, and every piece of evidence tells you, if you support that bill, you will lose your job, would you cast the vote and lose your job? " CNN's John King asked Bennet on the "State of the Union" program.

"Yes," said Bennet, a former Denver public schools chief who was appointed to the Senate by Colorado's governor when President Barack Obama tapped Ken Salazar to be interior secretary.

King warned Bennet that the video of his vow would be sequestered in the event he is voted out next year.

"All right. That tape will be held -- I hate to tell you that, but that tape will be held right now," the CNN host said.

Wild Thing's comment............

A kamikaze Senator.

Bennett reminds me of an Al Qaeda or Taliban moron. Always ready to blow himself up “for the good of the cause.” He’s one sick puppy.

In other words: To hell with what my constituents want. This is our grand chance to turn the USA in to a Socialist country and I'm not going to let this chance slip me by!

What Bennet is actually saying is that he knows what his constituents want and doesn't care. To him, his constituents can go to hell as long as the party wins.

That's about the size of it, BobF. I wonder if any of these nitwits would dare pledge anything else to see if their goal is reached, to see how committed they truly are to their cause.

Like the 56 founders of this great country did. How about obama, Peeloosely, or even that little Rat Harry Reid. Would they, pledge their Lives, their Fortune and (in there case) their honor as men.

The founders did, they were so convinced of their cause alot of them lost their Lives, their fortune but none gave up their honor, then Honor was known as "their sacred Honor, a mans word meant something. Today I think only the Troops know what that means. That is a very small segment of the population.

Is their one man in the Congress with that kind of fortitude and determination. They swear an oath to Protect and Defend the U.S. Constitution, do they even know what they are promising to do ? I doubt it. These bunch of low life bastards, and that's what they are, could care less about the gift those 56 men sacrificed to us.

Today, if you honor the Constitution and its principles, this group labels us 'Right-Wing extemists', well then I guesss I'm in good company with our founding fathers.

Why wouldn't a moron like this, make statements like he has?

Being a member of the U.S. Congress, his health benefits will not change.

Its the old, I've got mine, screw you", mind set.

2010 and 2012 cannot come soon enough.

Bennet may be on his first term in Congress but he is already thinking like an old timer. That shows the mindset of so many people who run for election. I bet he is probably a lawyer.

Denver/Boulder is a hotbed of liberalism. A lot of Californians are moving to Denver to escape California's terrible financial ills(high taxes and govt sending and programs). Now they are voting to have the same things happen again. Bennet replaced Ken Salazar who accepted a role in obama's administration.

What will happen when the realization sets in that we have to pay for abortions or go to jail? It looks like this will pass. Federally funded abortions and the public option. Civil War can't be far off. Not much different than the issue of slavery.

BobF.,I agree, that is exactly what it is.

Thank you everyone soooo much for your
input about this.
