Obama LIES About Creation of Jobs From His Trillion-Dollar 'Stimulus' Money

Obama: Stimulus saved 1 million jobs ......( THE LIE ~ Wild Thing )

White House officials, under pressure from the economy's continuing job losses, plan to announce Friday that President Barack Obama's $787 billion stimulus plan "has created and saved at least 1 million jobs" since he signed it in February.

“We anticipate that these reports will credit the Recovery Act with directly creating or saving about 650,000 jobs,” a senior administration official e-mailed POLITICO Friday morning. “Because these reports show that less than half of the spending through that date created or saved about 650,000 jobs, they confirm government and private forecaster’s estimates that overall Recovery Act spending has created and saved at least 1 million jobs.”

From the same Politico article....... ( John Boehner knows it is all Bravo Sierra.~ Wild Thing )

“House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) told POLITICO 44 that the administration’s claim is based on “phony statistics.”

House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) responded to the White House's Friday announcement on the effects of the Recovery Act on hiring with a statement raising doubts about the integrity of the administration's math:

"The trillion dollar 'stimulus' isn’t working, and no amount of phony statistics can change that. The President and his economic team promised the 'stimulus' would create jobs 'immediately' and unemployment would stay below eight percent. But America has lost more than three million jobs since then, and the unemployment rate is nearing double digits. After promising earlier this year that 90 percent of the 'jobs created' would be in the private sector, the White House's announcement today shows that the 'stimulus' has only grown the size of the government payroll.
"While Washington keeps spending and piling more debt on the backs of our children and grandchildren, out-of-work families keep asking, 'where are the jobs?' Republicans have proposed better solutions to help small businesses start creating jobs again. It’s time for Democrats in Washington to work with us on common sense solutions to help small businesses struggling in today’s economy."

Wild Thing's comment..........

This is like the Monty Python skit where a guy claims to cure Athletes Foot using dynamite. Those “missing” were assumed to be cured.

When you have nothing to show the spin has to start and the lies get bigger and bigger until they blow up in the face of those giving them.

Jack, it really is, it always amazes
me how they lie right to our faces
and the outrage is so little. So few
are paying attention I guess.

Ron, I sure hope it all blows up in their
faces.

Well if they did create 600,000 jobs for a stimulus of 1 trillion dollars, they didn't get their monies worth. Because, each job created by obama or saved cost the taxpayers, $1.6 million dollars for each of those jobs. So at this price where is the value in creating a job that cost 10 times what the position is worth. Then the cash for clunkers cost the Taxpayer $24,000 dollars for each clunker bought by the government, what happened to the $19,500 that is one hell of a bureaucracy.

But you know the kicker is. Those people who got the $4500 dollars are going to be taxed on that as a windfall profits tax.

Mark, "they didn't get their monies worth"....I agree. That's true too, they will be taxed
on that money, good point.
