Coverage from Copenhagen
Live coverage from Copenhagen
Chicago was the first to present to the International Olympic Committee .
LIVE STREAM LINKS ....not sure if they will work later or not.
ABC7's Ben Bradley will report live from Copenhagen starting Tuesday. You can read about his journey in his blog, Going for the Games.
Obama is now telling his personal life story and diversity of background as the reason Chicago should be chosen.
I hope the IOC can see thru their fake and pathetic pitch for themselves...they have already distroyed enough lives.
He seems to stutter and stumble whenever he has to say “America” or “The United States of America”...disgusting!
I am soooooooo embarrassed by these people Michelle and Obama. AUGH!
Oh my gosh , " People came to Chicago to have a better life."
at one of the evening events
I did not see all of them. But I just watched the Tokyo presentation...it was very good...they may not be the best speakers...but they got their message across...the Olympics is for the Athletes..
Obama's were totally self-focused, self-congratulatory .. NOT on the athletes and instead what is good for them; and just for their plan alone .It was disgusting. They very self centered almost forgetting the reason why they were even there!
Chicago was asked superficially about the venues not in the Olympic Village area .. but they weren’t really grilled.
Daley mantra: Jesse Owens, Metcalf, passion, emotion of the city .. blah blah blah .. he must’ve said passion 5 times .. and stone-faced.

Who buys or where does she get her clothes ? She could be a K-Mart Representative, to go along with the catchy phrase, " Attention All K-Mart Shoppers, there's a Blue-light special in the Ladies department on Yellow dresses". She has got to be the worst dressed First Lady, ever.
And why is he running around the world trying to pimp Chicago as the place for the Olympics ? Got to be a huge money scheme for all White House Employees, afteral they are all from Chicago and the majority are slum land-lords.

lol Mark...you know, I really don't like critisizm based on a person's appearance, but when they ram down our throats what a fashion icon (icon barely stand to look at her) it's hard to resist. And it's every friggin outfit. That pic of her in the shorts this summer coming off Air Force None was disgusting. Embarassing. What part of YOU REPRESENT OUR COUNTRY does this color blind fashion failure not understand?
I still think they are dressing her silly and laughing behind her back. You can't buy class (think the Queen's Ipod for one small example) and the Obamas are bankrupt in the class department.

Please, please Olympic Committee pick a city other than Chicago. It will be a kick in the ass to the obama's. You know that they and their Chicago buddies will skim off millions of $$ from an Olympic venue.
I am far from a fashion expert, but Michelle always looks gaudy to me.

Chicago will not host the 2016 Olympic Games. It was eliminated in the first round of voting. It will be Rio, or Madrid. The announcement will be made 12:30 - 1:00 PM EDT.

michellemalkin Can we shut down the White House Olympic czar's office now?!
In a stunning change of events, Kenya will host 2016 Olympics. "Their paperwork just seemed more genuine," spokesperson.
"Reminder: Obama inherited this IOC."
Bad news for Chicago Olympics effort: ACORN was not allowed to register 242 new IOC members yesterday.

COPENHAGEN, Denmark (CBS) ―
A stunned crowd stares at monitors in Daley Plaza after Chicago was eliminated from the bid for the 2016 Olympics.
Despite four years, millions of dollars in planning and a last-ditch pitch from President Obama, the Chicago 2016 Olympic bid ultimately fell short.
The City of Chicago was eliminated in the first round of voting, before any host city was selected.
An expert called it the "biggest shock in IOC history."
A disappointed USOC President Larry Probst left the venue and refused to comment, saying the Chicago delegation would respond later.
Supporters gathered in Chicago were equally shocked. Many left the rally in Daley Plaza tears.
